We have been here several times now because the food is great, the staff are very helpful and friendly, and they are dog friendly. There is a choice of sitting inside or outside. The menu offers a good variety of dishes and the helpings are generous and reasonably priced. It has become a firm favourite of mine and I hope to visit many times more. There is an added bonus of a farm shop where I regularly buy fresh, long dated, local farm eggs and a variety of different flavoured heavy fruit cake. Thoroughly recommended.

Always absolutely amazing food, We have become regular customers, on first name basis with all the staff. I can wholly recommend having Lasagna as a Take Away, as a widower cooking for myself these are fantastic meals and a fair & reasonable cost. Just travelled back from Rip Off Hunstanton and walked in sat down for a Full English breakfast. Usually come over on a Thursday after shopping.

We visit The Buttery regularly and have been at different times during the day, mostly weekends as both working full time. Each time we have been we have thoroughly enjoyed our food and nine times out of ten take home cake for later. We mostly choose from the breakfast menu but one time my husband had the steak and kidney pudding. He loved it, which is surprising as he doesn't like kidney?? I've tried the ham, egg and chips and it was so nice. The food is always fresh & hot, the drinks are always hot and the service is always good. There has only been one time we turned up and they were fully booked. That was New Years Eve. Note...book first to avoid disappointment. Now I tend to ring to see if a table is available whilst we are out walking the dog. Dogs are very welcome. We tend to leave ours in the car due to him being a muck magnet. In the nice weather we sit outside with him. Dogs always get biscuit treats on a nice little plate. Yes, you do go out smelling of food but that is the hazard of going to an eatery that fries food. We tend to leave coats etc in the car and mainly wear dog walking clothes that are muddy anyway so I doesn't worry us. There are tables next to the door that leads to the toilet and shop. Again, it is not permanently open and it doesn't lead directly into the toilet so it shouldn't be a worry. Every one is different, some expectations are higher than others. We always recommend it.

The service was friendly but there was only us four there. We didn’t know it had turned into an Indian restaurant but we decided to stay and try the food. The food was lovely but mine was a bit cold so I asked for it to be warmed up. A day later I’ve got food poisoning sickness and diarrhoea and so have my friends who had joined me to eat there so I would look at your hygiene cleanliness unless it was reheating chicken I’m not sure but we are all ill now.

We were led to believe this was above average - ho hum... Service, whilst friendly, was slow. Finding a wine list took some 20 minutes. After another reuest when it arrived it was crumpled and stained. As it was warm night we decided to eat outside - tables could have done with a good wipe, and the floor had obviously not seen a sweep for some time - cigarette ends all over the place. Menu was nothing more than average selection of pub food, and from arrival to food arriving took one hour. On the plus sign - food was hot, and acceptable, portion size - substantial. (No need for a starter.)
