Heather and her team were fantastic all evening, couldn't do enough... 6 two course meals, 3 bottles of good sav blanc, couple of lagers and a coke. Food was lovely even let me change my mash for chips. Around 30 odd quid a head all in.. couldn't finish it, great value, food, service and staff had a drink with us at end.

We called in on Saturday evening to grab a last minute bite to eat and missed the kitchen by around 15 minutes but the guys were kind enough to squeeze us in and make sure we got fed, which was great news for us. We both ordered loaded fries and were really impressed. I went with the chicken tikka option and loved them, the curry was so good, it was clearly home made, super tasty and a huge portion! The guys behind the bar were amazing, very friendly and really went above and beyond for us, which was greatly appreciated. The bar is well stocked and the drinks reasonably priced with lots of good deals on offer too. Highly recommend giving them a visit for both drinks and food 🙂

With new management recently taking over the burn inn has turned into a wonderful pub with an amazing atmosphere, the food is fresh, beautifully home cooked and the smell that travels through the pub is delicious!! Very clean place with wonderful staff and manager Heather. The afternoon teas prepared by heather are sublime and are 100% a must try. I recommended the Sunday lunches that are served on a Sunday they come out hot, delicious and service is on point. Definitely recommend this spot!

I booked up for a meal a few days earlier for 4 people. It was going to be an anniversary meal for remembering my late Dad. My friend also rang to confirm this after I had booked, as his wife questioned if they did food on a Saturday. They said they did! When we arrived we were told the chef wasn't there and questioned us regarding the booking! Why would we make it up? So we ended up going to the Copt Hill. Won't be going back here.

I hadn't been in the Burn for years so it was a nice surprise how nicely it had been revamped when we visited a couple of Sundays ago for the carvery. The drinks were reasonably priced (we did only have soft drinks) and the price of the carvery itself wasn't bad, even though there were only two prices, adult and under eight, we had to pay full price for an 83yr old who has the appetite of a budgie, she added 1 roast potato and 4 carrots to her carved meat. Everywhere else you go to offers either a large or small carvery, which obviously would cater for the under 8s and 83yr olds in one. It seemed my mother at 83 wasn't the oldest person in the pub that day, the bloke carving the meat and dishing out the Yorkshire puddings would surely give her a run for her money. He was a lovely attentive old man, but my he was so so slow, resulting in a queue a mile long of hungry frustrated customers. In fairness he wasn't helped by other staff as he disappeared regularly to collect warm plates, Yorkshire puddings etc. Surely these could have been brought to him rather than him having to continually return to the kitchen for them. When we eventually sat down to the meal it was beautiful, especially the thick gravy, everything apart from the rock hard burnt pudding. Would recommend but be prepared for a long stand at the carvery.

I took both my Mam and Dad there on Friday as it was walking distance and something to do and I didn't have high hopes. It was really nice!! All came very hot and the tarter sauce was tasty, unsure if it was home made or not but either way it was nice and I don't usually like tarter sauce. Our visit to the burn on Christmas day for a group of seven people, was very very disappointing, Christmas lunch was average at best, I ordered the salmon , which was served with a dried out Sunday lunch with Yorkshire pudding, not a dish which would normally be served dry as bones with a Yorkshire pudding. The desert was served on dinner plates, coffee cold from a teapot and not enough to go around, served in mismatched teacups without saucers which were chipped and the milk came in a gravy boat and not enough to go around seven people. Then came the Christmas cake for four people, the size of an oxo cube, but we certainly weren't fighting over who got the four pieces. In fairness we only paid thirty five pounds per head but I felt we were robbed and can only describe the whole experience as that of a place that would be serving very cheap lunches for the homeless. Not on my must return list.

Called in for Sunday Lunch and it was fantastic. Generous portion of meat, turkey beef or pork or there was mince and dumplings. Help yourself to fresh vegetables, roast parsnips, roast and mashed potatoes, carrots, peas and cabbage. Lovely gravy and Yorkshire pudding as well. Only a couple of choices of dessert but it didn't matter as we were all too full!!

Paid a visit with my wife on speck for lunch, after waiting 45mins for two cowboy burgers,we got the meal with the wrong chips should have been fries,it was returned with microwaved lettuce and bun ,I ate some of mine because I was starving but my wife could not eat hers .when my wife complained we got a sorry and a free cup of coffee for the wait.it was so bad I did not ask for the leftovers which were considerable for my two dogs.the only plus point about this pub is the little waitress who was very apologetic and appeared embarrassed to be working there. DONT GO

dropped in for a quick lunch and really fancied a Tuna sandwich BUT no Tuna sandwich on the menu. I spoke to the very pleasant staff and they were more than happy to make me up a Tuna sandwich which came in thick crusty bread with side salad and coleslaw + a handful of thick homemade chips at my request all for a very reasonable price. Very pleasant experience and I will return very soon

Food was good service only passable. Couldn't belive that the Fire Escape Route was a blocked by tables arranged by the Manager/ess. When challenged she just told us to F off which we did. Shame that a good pub was ruined by arrogant owner/manager. Hope she doesn't other premises to ruin!!!

The food was ok, if you excuse a dry toast covered by everything else. The cakes were stale hard, dry beyond belief and covered in tonnes of sugar. Went straight to bin after first bite. Waste of money. The service was good though and if you like it pink, you will like the decor.

Popped in for a takeaway cappuccino last Saturday afternoon. Although the weather was gloomy outside that could not be said of the lovely greeting I received from the 2 young ladies who were working there. Sorry didn’t get their names but the older girl maybe early 20’s with blonde hair was particularly chatty and had great customer service skills and her younger dark haired colleague was equally engaging. Just a little well done for all concerned as it becomes rare these days to meet young staff in the hospitality game who interact with customers in such an amicable manner with smiles on their faces. First impressions are key for any business and mine was top notch. Plus my coffee was very tasty.
