PROS * Convenient street location access * Meaty and kosher * Places to sit but it seems to be a take away facility CONS * Mediocre tasting food * Uninterested minimally friendly (if at all) staff * Slow in-house service * Cost is not in line with at-best average quality of food, slow service and absence of ambience "I VISITED THIS PLACE"... ... because I had walked past it several times on Saturday, when it was closed. And to think that I walked all the way up Finchley Road from Green Road tube station to eat in this (at best) mediocre place. The staff people milling around were quite surprised to hear that I planned to eat there and not "take away." The process of ordering was slow and getting the basic overpriced meal was also slow (it's not like there were any other customers) and also, no one was coming in for or going out with take away orders. WOULD I GO THERE AGAIN? No WAS IT WORTH THE PRICE? No ADVICE I do not recommend this place

Had a great time at burger bar last night with friends. Food was delicious and service great. The choice is amazing, burgers, wraps, salads etc Would recommended and will definitely be back to try something else from the menu

I took my family to this restaurant on a weekend Sunday and we had a very bad experience myself and my partner got food poisoning my mother-in-law went to hospital for serious stomach pains we have heard similar things from friends have been to this restaurant the bathroom was absolutely filthy with sanitary pads lying all over the place, the floor was covered in toilet paper some of it I say used, and the food was cold my chicken I ordered was very very very pink inside the chips were cold the salad was very soggy we were asked to pay extra for ice which has never heard of happening in the restaurant in my life. After this the manager who was a woman with red hair was incredibly rude to us after we left a tip she commented was not a laugh after the service we received was very bad and very basic she shouted at her employees which they looked very happy to be there and she was loudly arguing on the phone the entire time we were sat there. It was a very unhappy environment to be in the atmosphere was terrible the food was awful obviously we couldn’t eat it we had to send it back and then afterwards there was a big commotion about sending the food back because we were told that we had already been prepared for us and they couldn’t give it to anyone else but how can you serve anyone pink chicken?

Teníamos el hummus con carne picada y alitas de pollo para comenzar, y tuve una hamburguesa de trufa para el plato principal con aros de cebolla. Fue absolutamente delicioso y sin duda volveremos!

Sunday 3pm no customers go for quick lunch with my son. He wanted the kids nuggets but asked for Israeli salad instead of chips told not possible ! They have a salad they add grilled breast of chicken and a steak salad they add a steak to. I asked for the steak salad but with the chicken breast as preferred the salad told they can’t do that. They charge £18.95 for the salad! We were going to leave but son was hungry so we cancelled our and he had his. So they lost £40 of sales a customer for life (I order takeout and they get this review. Hope it helps then realise the benefit of good customer service

A warm welcome gave way to comedy service and a catalogue of errors. We waited an hour for our food and the waiting staff just shrugged their shoulders and explained they were short of staff. It was as if a smile and a shrug was sufficient. We complained, they ignored. We complained, they explained why we were wrong. We complained again and they gave us a stingy 10 per cent off and made out - dripping in sarcasm - that we were the bad guys. Terrible service, bad attitude. A shame really

Arrived at 1.20pm with a party of seven and ordered straight away. Food took more than an hour to arrive. Full of dotty excuses. Short of staff, small family business and shrugged shoulders. Simple order of 5 burgers, one chicken nuggets dish and a Schwarma. The chicken was breaded and out of a packet. Chips also pre prepared. Burgers lacked the extras ordered such as advocado. Schwarma cold, over spiced and needed a magnifying glass to see the need. When we asked about service the waiter waved hands around like a zombie. The manager was pleasant and promised a discount. Seemed to think it was relevant that she was pregnant and therefore we were not entitled to complain. Promised a discount and waived 10pc of a bill that ran to more than £150.00. Very disappointing experience. Fast food joint that was precisely opposite and way overpriced. Steer clear unless you like being sarcastically abused by staff.

Avoid not kosher cold food old dirty restaurant a lot of shouting staff constantly on their mobiles unprofessional

Brilliant food! The steak salad was fantastic, and so was the hummus with mince meat! Highly recommend this restaurant!

Two for weekday lunch after a business meeting. The place was reasonably clean and tidy and the service couldn't have been better. Friendly, welcoming, polite and they brought exactly what we asked for rather than deciding they know best (as sadly is the case far too often nowadays). The food? The burgers were well cooked and tasty and the buns were nice and fresh. What let the whole thing down was the sweet potato fries. I don't know what they did with them but, while the portions were large, the fries were incredibly greasy and utterly tasteless Whatever sweetness had been in them when fresh had been cooked out. At £9.90 for 2 portions. I looked jealously at the 'regular' chips being eaten at the next table. Add to that an insane £1.95 for a can of Diet Coke (probably bought at the cash and carry for about 45p) and suddenly it's only 3 stars. We might eat there again but wouldn't make any special effort to do so.

Ate here on over the Bank Holiday weekend with the family. Service was great, and food came out quickly. We ordered 2 burgers and a Shnitzel Kids Meal, everything tasted great. Only downside was not enough salad, and when I tried to order Costlaw, they were out.

Este es un restaurante de carne promedio. Cenamos aquí con 4 niños a principios de julio. Los niños tenían el menú infantil que era más que adecuado para cada uno de ellos. La carne y el pollo sabían bien al igual que las patatas fritas. El servicio era aburrido, aunque fue una noche tranquila y no reservamos con antelación. Valor razonable por dinero. Si en Londres, iríamos aquí de nuevo.

I highly recommend it! The service is good and it’s not to crowded and there is plants of choices on the menu. Best burger I had in a long time and in great price! Not too far from the city center and worth the trip

muy irritable, el tamaño de la hamburguesa era razonable, fui con mi primo ambos tuvimos 2 hamburguesas y una papas fritas para compartir. cuando nos fuimos, estábamos llenos. estaba pasando por la respuesta más resentida sobre el restaurante, estaba un poco preocupado de que no obtendríamos lo suficiente por el dinero, pero nunca se sabe hasta que lo intentes. el tamaño de la reunión estuvo bien. No esperaba ser más grande si algunas personas no estaban satisfechas, es mejor que coman en el restaurante estadounidense, donde la porción es enorme. desafortunadamente esto nunca sucederá en Londres debido a los altos precios de la reunión kosher debido a algunos rabinos estúpidos que decidieron dejar de comer carne de cordero y carne de res (segunda parte del cuerpo).

I am still sitting waiting for my food after nearly 2 hours. I thought I would write a review in the meantime. Can't comment on the food. Service has so far been awful and staff have been rude. Won't be returning.

Love this place... Great food, great ambience, perfect local. The portions are larger than average and great variety on the menu, even covers vegetarians. I eat here regularly and always have a good meal. Thank you!

Solíamos ir a este lugar durante años, (que fue en otra ubicación antes también). Todo sucedía hace dos semanas con una llevar. La orden tomó 15 minutos más de lo previsto. los bollos de hamburguesa y empanadas son ahora más pequeñas y un poco cocidas. Pedí la ensalada de carne de tamaño raro y fue preparado minuciosamente, es la vida. Tengo que Kosher es caro, pero teníamos dos hamburguesas 1 envoltura 1 Ensalada de filete y patatas y estábamos cerca de 55 libras. No es bueno. Por desgracia recibiendo aislado. La ocasión anterior fue la comida servida si la puerta no cerrada y tuvo que ser cerrado o el viento metido lanzaba abierta-helada. La lechería gratis batido era horrible - vivimos en donde lácteos gratis debería ser mejor. Las patatas fritas eran recalentadas claramente batata y blanditas. Really excellent. Great selection of burgers and salads. Honestly, I can't remember a better burger in London. Also, nice to go to a kosher restaurant where the staff are attentive and smiling.

One of the worst places I have ever been to appalling service the food was cold!! And the manager got pissed off at us for complaining that the food was cold. She said "what do you want? What's the problem?" Absolutely disgusting!!!

El Burger bar solía ser un gran mixto en Finchley con fantástica comida y precios justos. Ahora que hemos subido muchísimo los precios y la comida es horribles - hamburguesas insípido y quemada. También en cualquier lugar que cobran por salsas es de mis libros. No merece la pena en absoluto. Esta crítica está basada en más de una visita.

Mi marido y yo teníamos una hamburguesa los nuggets de pollo ... Lo único que tengo que decir es que nada se compara con patatas fritas, esto es normalmente muy bien, pero una vez que se paga por un plato de acompañamiento, que usted esperaría que sería un tamaño decente para el dinero ... Aparte de eso, muy recomendado!

Comenzamos con las alas de pollo, que eran encantadores, pero lo mejor eran las hamburguesas. Estaban recién hechos, suculentos y deliciosa. Había muchas variedades de hamburguesas en el menú que más ordenados como quería probar todos ellos. La barbacoa con un huevo frito superaba la. De todas las patatas fritas en ofrecer sus batatas fritas eran terriblemente bueno. De nuestra comida teníamos batidos, tarta de chocolate caliente y pastel de manzana!! No puedo esperar a volver.

Unique variety of hamburgers. The ambiance is lovely and cozy. The staff are friendly and the maitre'd very accommodating. We arrived while it was raining, spur of the moment and waited for only a few minutes while they arranged a table for the six of us.

We were regulars here before the recent move to Bridge Lane where we ate for the first time tonight. The menu is slightly more limited and I agree with other reviews that it's a bit pricey for what's on offer, especially in the way of side orders. However the food remains delicious and fresh tasting so 3-4 stars for that.Owners/ managers - read these reviews and feel a little ashamed. Poor service of this type is so dated and has no place in the modern service culture.Our waitress was surly and unhelpful. I think she said no to just about every request we made - none of which were outlandish and all made courteously. She dumped our drinks on the table without even attempting (Or asking who had what) to match drink and drinker. No - we could not have schnitzel in a wrap (instead of with fries and salad) even though both schnitzel and wraps are on the menu and both are prepared I assume from scratch.No - we really couldn't as they wouldn't know how to charge for it. No - there is no diet SpriteNo - we couldn't have a hot drink ( not even a hot water) as the adjacent cafe was closing and they only had an espresso machine No no no no.Our bill arrived - with service added - and I really regret paying the service. I should have been braver and insisted it was removed ( as there had been no service) . I asked to see the manager to give some feedback. I do not write reviews of this type without first giving the restaurant a chance to out things right. I was told there was no manager. I asked for the most senior person there then. She shrugged. Eventually a young man ambled over. I gave him my feedback - politely - and a chance to respond. He looked awkward and said nothing. Nothing! Then mumbled - something about hoping we'd be happier next time.Burger Bar - you are surrounded by kosher establishments selling burgers. You can't afford to be this clueless in the way you recruit and train your staff. Have a bit more pride in what you do. It's a shame as your food is lovely but your service rates somewhere between poor and hopeless.You could turn this around you know. Have the guts to respond to this review and offer us the chance to improve our experience. But sadly, I doubt you will even read it.

The Burger Bar has moved to 1 Bridge Lane. The burgers are good as are onion rings and fries. Prices a little hefty, even for a kosher place. Especially the side - like £4,50 for a handful of onion rings.Kids burgers, bizarrely, do not come with fries (this have to be ordered as a side dish). Drinks menu disappointingly limited for a Burger joint - some home made lemonade or ginger beer would have been good.Major issue is slow, poor service that really does need to be improved - and a bit of friendliness would go a long way!

This used to be a good place for tasty burgers at a reasonable price - somehow, I don't think people will be popping in with their kids so much any more. Yes, the new location has cool decor, but that won't be enough to attract the masses, with 75p being charged for tiny sauce portions of anything that isn't mayo or ketchup; with the menu saying "fries ordered with burger only £2.50" but not revealing until bill-time that the discount only applies to plain (not flavoured) fries; and with prices being generally high for a burger bar. There's a lot of competition out there, and although the food was tasty, we won't be back in a hurry - and maybe not at all.

All the food here is good and tasty, the wraps and salads are very good and a great choice of burgers. Sides are extra which pushes the price up a bit but they always taste fresh and are nicely cooked - onion rings, corn on the cob etc. Good choice for Sunday evening with the kids. Prefer to take away but have eaten in. Restaurant is a bit soulless and draughty in the cold weather with the door opening (and being left open) constantly. But all the food we've had there is tasty and the kids always like it there. They only take cash (or that was the case last time we went) so you need to know this in advance as there are no cash machines within easy walking distance.

I often use Burger Bar for a take away and occasionally to eat-in.The staff were clearly absent when customer service was on the training agenda.I ordered a take away. When I collected and paid there was no greeting from either waitress or manager, I was NOT THANKED and the customary "enjoy" was not mentioned as i left. Both members of staff had miserable faces more suitable for a funeral than a restaurant. Robots would have done a better job!Whilst I would go there again am sure others would be put off by such miserable staff.It costs nothing to be polite - maybe B Bar management should review this aspect.Burger was good though!!

Was there last Saturday night, we ordered Burgers each, along with side orders of Fries and Onion Rings.We noticed that they seemed to prioritise, on the few take away requests from people that came into the restaurant.Then I noticed, that they must have made "extra" fries and onion rings, that were not given to the take away customer, and they put them in bowls and served them to us, after the customer had left the premises.The Fries were cold, and we HAD NOT been served our Burgers - I literally got up and took them to the counter, and told them that we wanted our sides served with our Burgers. (and that the sides were hot and fresh).They looked surprised, and no apologies.Eventually they served us with our sides and Burgers. But the Onion Rings were the original ones just re-heated up.Absolutely awful, and service was poor too.This establishment should be closed down.As it was the festival of Hanukkah I did ask if they were serving Latkes. The waitress did not know what I was talking about!!We wont be going back to this establishment next time we are in London - But to be honest I think it will be closed down by then.

The flavours of Israel in your plate: humus, pita bread, spicy chicken filets, falafels. We were 4 people and each had a starter and a main dish, with non-alcoholic drinks, the bill amounted to £ 75 once you add the tip for service (not included). And we relished our kosher beef burgers. They are a little too done and dry, but of course this is part of the kosher cuisine. Premises would benefit from a redecoration lift, and 1 of 2 toilets was out of order. But we were genuinely satisfied overall.

This place is probably better if you live in the area and pickup your order to eat at home. The problem for us is that we were staying in a nearby hotel and wanted to get a bite out. The place was full of screaming children, the door was constantly banging open and shut, the chairs were making lots of noise. And one of the staff was constantly spraying cleaning liquid on adjacent tables. All of this made the eating atmosphere quite unpleasant. But when the food came it was very good.

Maybe once very good... originally... but now... nothing much....The burgers feel slapped together and lack flavor, the rest of the menu feels the same. Not worth the extra bucks. Don't have any desire eat it again.

i was staying at the Holiday Inn Express and this place was a one minute walk away. I loved the food, just annoying that they only accept money and no Credit/Debit cards...
