We went for a quick drink. Very reasonably priced with a nice beer garden. Interior also works as a great cafe with an American Diner interior decor. Child friendly

Kids really enjoyed their 2 hour soft play session. There is plenty of space and lots of different areas to play in including a zip wire and slides. Nice cafe for parents to enjoy a cuppa and snack while watching the kids. My Grandson especially enjoyed his milkshake. It wasn't too busy and both kids made little friends to play with. Will try the mini golf outside next time. Really good location right next to car park.

Our group of one adult, a 13 year old, an 8 year old and a 6 year old enjoyed a game of crazy golf here one weekend in July. Arriving just after 10am on a glorious Saturday morning, we were greeted by friendly staff and got our clubs, balls and score card. The course is fun and varied, and suitable for all ages in our group. £16.60 for an hour of fun for the four of us was good value for money I feel. We didn't stay for food in this occasion but admired the diner decor so will have to stop by next time as that looks fun too. Enjoy!

We came here to play crazy golf while on holiday and had a really good time. We asked a few questions about the golf earlier in the day and the lady we spoke to was friendly and accommodating. The crazy golf course is fun and well designed. There are holes where the ball shoots out somewhere else, which is good as some crazy golf courses are much more simple than this. The outside space and the toilets too are very clean and well looked after. There has clearly been a lot of effort put into making the outside space attractive with flowers and decorations. We walked through the diner which also looked clean and well kept. The prices looked reasonable. We would definitely come back here. It's a great place for couples and families.

We had passed this place before without really checking it out. There's a soft play area for the kids, crazy golf and a diner. This place serves snacks, burgers, jacket potatoes, sandwiches including hot ones and various drinks - we opted for 2 teas, one with sugar already in and stirred, and fruit scones which to my surprise were served warm - nice to have but crumbly because they'd been heated up. The tables and chairs are laid out like in an American diner, and you place your order and receive a "vibrator" which goes off when your order is ready - I had never seen this before! Some of the tables have plug sockets and USB ports, there are high chairs and toilets one of which is for baby changing, though these were poorly signed - one notice that said fire escape but it certainly wasn't! A good visit, and quite busy on a hot summer's day.

Welcomed by a lovely lady at the entrance, we were able to deposit our toddler in the ball pool while we got to drink a hot coffee each (something that hasn’t happened since he was born a year ago!) We couldn’t believe his entrance was free! We wanted lattes but the machine needed to be filled with milk so we switched to a regular Americano and were given plenty of milk to go with it. Apologies were given and it wasn’t a dealbreaker because throwing a tantrum about that sort of thing is the epitome of #firstworldproblems. Toilets were clean and had good baby change facilities. Yes some of the toddler toys were a bit worn but that’s to be expected, it didn’t lessen our som’s enjoyment in the slightest. Will definitely be back when we visit in the spring.

Went here today for crazy golf. Fancied a drink first. The cafe lady was the most miserable, unhelpful person ever. She could hardly be bothered to serve us. We played crazy golf- it had been raining but the paths were extremely slippery. We had been warned but it was probably too dangerous. What a horrible place overall. Inside is depressing. Outside cigarette ends everywhere and paper strewn on the grass. If they can’t be bothered to serve you I won’t bother going back. This was on the back of two other shops having very poor customer service. Sort it out Seahouses!

I'm writing this review with a sad and heavy heart. It has occurred to me that my visits to the "Bunker Holiday Village" have caused all the losses in my life. Doreen, my lovely wife, and her penchant for a large battered sausage, Albert, the loyal falcon, and his extremely sharp talons. All gone! So, I was off to the Bunker Holiday Village as a solo traveller, which was a totally new experience, and one which ended being full of controversy. I'll start at the beginning:Arrived at Seahouses 12.25, turned into the public car park to find a van in my normal spot. Yes, a van! I could not hide my rage as I parked next to it.I slammed the 20p coins into the parking ticket machine ... that'll teach them! ... then onto the "Bunker".I must admit I have let myself go a bit since Doreen packed her bags and left, and I'll never forget that fateful afternoon when I returned from work to find a letter saying she had left me for good. She stated she was leaving due to the stress of the upcoming court case, the fascists at the Rising Sun Countryside Centre had me arrested for 'borrowing' and 'losing' their prize falcon - yes, my pal Albert. The police had wanted to give me a simple caution until they realised I had a previous caution for a misunderstanding at Edinburgh Zoo. Top tip: when visiting Zoo's keep your bags zipped up and don't leave them unattended when watching the Penguin Parade - them Rockhoppers are sneaky and always on the lookout to escape.I have since found out from an acquaintance of mine, Tashy Bob, that Doreen is actually living in a 3 bed semi in Ashington with a B & Q kitchen fitter. The same B & Q kitchen fitter that was constantly popping into our house to snag our recently fitted kitchen. I did think the aftersales service that B & Q were showing was top notch, but now starting to think replacing 30 hinges on 30 separate visits might have been a ruse (revised review of B & Q to follow).Anyhoo, I digress - back to the day in question. I stormed into the Bunker Holiday Village passed all the "oiks" and into the restaurant. "Where's that bloody Lionel Blair," I thought to myself. Looked all over and there was no sign of him anywhere - bugger! I'm here now so I might as well wait. The sight of all those smiling kids and the smell of fried fish was making my blood boil, so I went over to the bar and ordered a pint of lager and a whisky chaser. I have not drunk alcohol of any sort since our 10th wedding anniversary night, well, Doreen insisted I didn't after the misunderstanding with the mother-in-law, the plantpot and me losing my clothes! (see review of Old Assembly Rooms).Took my drinks and sat in the premium seating area, where I had recently spotted the billionaire Mike Ashley sitting in the very same seat - there's posh for you - and starting to drink my drinks. After half an hour there was no sign of Lionel - so I had another pint and chaser. An hour came and went, still no sign, so decided just to drink chasers. Not sure how it happened but never got to see Lionel Blair and everything seems a bit of a blur after my fifth chaser. The police have been in touch to let me know they've found my car, apparently some "oiks" must have stolen it (probably patrons of the Bunker Holiday Village) and they had driven it into a parked B & Q van before driving through a fence and into the front garden of a 3 bed semi in Ashington. The car's a right off, so won't be able to visit the Bunker Holiday Village for a while, unless I can persuade Tashy Bob to accompany me.Hey Ho!

MORE AT TripAdvisor

Well, it's been almost 10 months since our last visit to the "Bunker" complex in Seahouses. And I did swear never to "darken their door again", but the other half has been constantly haranguing me for a large battered sausage. So much so she's actually talking about them in her sleep. To this avail, and after the last sad affair with the flying rats, I decided to give in ... but I would be prepared this time. So, 6 weeks ago, I got my trusty Lenovo out and applied for an online Falconry Course. Which I must say was quite hard to find, but then I spotted the very rudely titled "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Falconry".Being quite an impatient man I skipped chapters 1 to 11, and went straight for the "handling your Falcon" section.Armed with my new found expertise and one of Mother's black silk evening gloves I was off to Pets at Home to purchase my new pet Falcon. After being escorted from the premises (review on Pets at Home to follow), I decided to 'borrow' a Falcon from the Rising Sun Countryside Centre, which I must say was no mean feat - and I can't go in to the details for legal reasons.Taking my life in my hands - letting the wife drive never ends well. We set off for Seahouses with my new friend 'Albert' perched on my left arm.Albert seemed to enjoy the trip, although he obviously couldn't see anything as it was necessary for me to keep his hood on at all times.Arrived at Seahouses in one piece, even managed to get my normal parking spot - result!Got to the "Bunker" and immediately realised they still had the same "oik" issue outside, there seemed to be even more of them this time, hitting balls all over the grounds. The wife went into the establishment to purchase our food and I stayed with Albert in the outside seating area. I could see through the windows swarms of children enjoying themselves. I said to Albert "we're lucky we're out here, the noise would drive you crazy, and you would definitely have to wash that hood from the smell of fried fish!"The wife reappeared with our food, but before opening the containers I checked the surrounding skies for seagulls. Not a one! Albert had done his job with aplomb.Tucking into fishcake and chips with one hand is no mean feat, but I overcame this problem with ease. Didn't even see the wife eat her battered sausage - must have eaten it in one go! We had asked for our chips to be a Pantone 126 this time as the wife likes a more cooked chip - and they were too perfection. We finished our meals and I had a great sense of satisfaction that I had beaten the seaside tricksters, when it happened! The wife called out "there's Lionel Blair tapdancing behind the counter". I immediately spun round knocking Albert's hood off.Everything seemed to go into slow motion - Albert looked at me, I looked at Albert, and a shooting pain ran up my left arm! Later found out in chapter 3 "suitable attire for Falconry" that mother's best glove wasn't up to the job, and Albert was off never to be seen again!I passed out and didn't even get the chance to ask Lionel for an autograph or his wife's lemon drizzle cake recipe. The doctors tell me I will get the feeling back in that arm again eventually, and you can only imagine how long it's taken me to type this review with one hand. Hey Ho!

Just had to follow on from the absolutely brilliant review by FrankNulty back in October, (it's well worth the read). My wife and I were at Seahouses on a Sunday over a bank holiday weekend. The weather was just about OK although very windy, and the town was busy with fish and chip restaurants doing a very brisk trade. But we had a problem, as we had our sons dog with us, who is too big to smuggle inside an eating establishment unnoticed. However,we'd spotted some picnic tables outside at the Bunker, so returned there for fish and chips 'al fresco'.There weren't any queues here at the time and our fish as cooked to order and the friendly 'fri-er advised me that it would take 5-10 minutes so I should take a seat outside, which I did. I was a little concerned that I'd paid £13 and walked out with nothing, but I needn't have worried.Back inside, our servings were placed into polystyrene containers and were so large that you couldn't close them. The cod was very good and at £6.50 each we felt very well fed. Strangely, the serving that my wife chose was cooked completely differently to my own as her batter was well crispy and rather overcooked, but mine was just right. (So we felt that another customer was given her order in error). The outdoor seating was ideal from us and we enjoyed the sea views and watching families enjoying their crazy golf. The dog was happy too and we're delighted to say that unlike Frank we didn't have any issues with seagull bandits.

The Bunker wasn't there when i was a lad. The service wasn't bad at all, the girl serving was very pleasant but dear Lord I ordered a latte for my dad, i actually thought it was an ovaltine it tasted nothing like a latte and furthermore for £2.50 I expected more than a thimble sized cup to takeaway. We tried fish and chips for dinner and have to say they were very greasy, dinner ruined wish id gone to Neptune. It was a great start with the service but value for money it was not

After a walk along the harbour and a delicious Sunday lunch we thought we’d take the kids to the soft play at the bunker. We had a few drinks but no food as we’d already eaten. It’s a decent size inside and plenty to do for all ages BUT it’s in serious need of a good clean, especially the under 3’s part, I took my 8 month old to sit in the balls and hoped she could play with some toys but after looking at them I didn’t let her have any as they were black and filthy so it was a quick exit back to the pram. My older child had fun and as we live close by we’d definitely come back IF it has a really good clean.

Visited here back end of August whilst at the Caravan in Bamburgh. Weather was crap so thought we would treat the 3 kids to the soft play and pick up a fish and chips on the way out... Well, arriving in the soft play area section there was a total mess all over the seating area, coffee and tea spilt on tables, menus sitting in the splliage, broken bits of food all over the tables and carpet. I would of give the benefit of doubt with it being the holidays and if it had been really busy but there was only us and one other family in the soft play area with 3 members of staff all sitting behind the counter chatting. With the amount of money your business takes simple things like ensuring the seating area is regularly cleaned after each party leaves their table and maybe updating or cleaning those seats we all have to share. Enough about that, you's had the chance to redeem all that with a decent take away but oh nooo... Two lads working in the takeaway room did not have a brain cell between them and took around 10 minutes to understand a very simple order of x2 Kids Meals, Sausage and Chips, Pie and Chips and x2 gravy =S but that's not even the issue. Got back to the caravan to tuck in and the x2 Kids meals where in fact full portions (Which after looking at receipt we where charged full portions) all of the takeaway trays had a puddle of grease sitting in the bottom and required to be drained. The chips where just say half cooked and the gravy was lumpy, cold and stale. The microwaved pie was also some how burned. Didn't even get a quarter of the way through before chucking it in the bin and making our own tea. All in all total waste of around £50 I will never see again. Mini golf was at least good. That is all.

We visited on a rainy Saturday in August school holidays expecting it to be a lot busier than what it was! We came for the soft play with our 13 month old daughter and for lunch. Unfortunately the weather didn't lend itself to crazy golf! The soft play was ok, not huge but big enough and there was a separate area for under 3s which was a nice size with a ball pool and ample toddler toys. Unfortunately as with many soft play centres, many parents were not correcting their older children to keep out of the toddler area and neither were the staff, despite a small sign on the wall saying no over 3s past this point. It cost £4.50 for 1-6 year olds which I think is overpriced for 1-3 as there wasn't a great deal for my 13 month old daughter to do in comparison to a 3-6 year old who would benefit from the larger and older area of soft play. There were tables and menus around the soft play so it is possible to eat and drink there, however we went to the restaurant upstairs as it was a lot quieter! The food was really good, the chips are excellent and the upstairs area is bright and clean with friendly staff. I'd definitely go again for the restaurant but not for the soft play.

Bought the family chippy dinner, 2 adults and 2 kids portions and 2 bottles of pop. Near enough £19 in total. Wouldn't be too bad but the adult portions were no different in size than the kids portions. Very disappointing.

We visited here on holiday on one (of the many) rainy days we had. The place is quite small. We had to wait for a table inside, which was not too long. However, the staff had to go and jostle people out who were overdue their time (2hrs is what you pay for). A better system is needed at peak times I think. The staff were friendly enough and were quick to take up to the table and clear it.

Took my 3 grandchildren for a treat considering it was£4.50 per child. The place was disgraceful there was crushed chips, crisps and all sorts of other food lying on floor.tables were littered and the soft play its self is dirty if you sit and look around and up everything is covered in dust dont know when it was last cleaned .There were 3 members of staff on duty at least one was trying to clear up while one stood on her mobile phone for quite a while.its such a shame as place was busy the menu looked good but didnt want children to eat there. Took them to one of the local fish&chips; restaurant s

We ate here because we weren't playing crazy golf afterwards and our son refused to walk any further. Pleasantly surprised by really excellent freshly cooked fish and chips and the mini golf was good fun too.

Somehow our four year old granddaughter spotted the soft play area from the road, after a boat trip to Farne Islands. Friendly staff and sensibly priced. On leaving she spotted the crazy golf so we returned the next day. She had a great time and managed to get us to take her into soft play afterwards. Staff member knew we'd been on the golf, so immediately discounted her soft play price to the combined ticket rate. We enjoyed fish and chips while she played, and we were back for another round of crazy golf/soft play before the end of our holiday.

We regularly visit soft play areas with our toddler so with today being rainy we thought we'd give the bunker a go.

14 of us visited The Bunker for food on a Saturday afternoon, all buying food and drink. One member of our group bought food from another establishment and sat with us on the benches outside. After about 10 minutes a member of staff came over and asked us to leave as food had been bought from elsewhere! After challenging this we were threatened with management. 13 out of 14 of us had bought food, spending money at The Bunker and were all expected to leave?! We are a respectable group of adults, completing a 170 mile bike ride for charity. We had received support from all other establishments we had visited previously; even receiving donations! The attitude and service from staff at The Bunker was absolutely appalling. There were 2 tables with benches spare for other customers to use, there really was no need for the rude manner. I would not recommend The Bunker cafe. Food was average and the attitude of staff absolutely shocking. Very disappointed.

Got a great plate of fish and chips here in the cafe upstairs. No queues compared to the high street , so no wait at all. Only took about 10 minutes from ordering to eating.

The bunker has a varied menu including fish and chips, we had breakfast rolls here and they have a secure soft play area, a garden and crazy golf. The rolls were fine and everyone was happy.

Been to a few parties here it's a lovely place, and food and cleanliness is good but the staff aren't very customer friendly. Not once have I seen a member of staff smile.
