A former cinema (1926-1999) named to honour Dr Walford Brodie. Only one of the Festival beers on which is a shame. A Spoons with toilets downstairs is always a plus 👍🏻

We’ve eaten in Spoons all over the country but first time in this one. Great food, cheap drinks, you know what to expect. Couldn’t fault it, friendly staff. Plates cleared very promptly. What’s not to like

We weren't intending to order food as had eaten at a Wetherspoons earlier in the week & once a fortnight is quite detrimental enough to your liver, but after a drink decided on a baked potato, which wasn't bad & came with salad. But what is really annoying me is the drinks choices with a meal. I quite like Whitley Neil gin & you can order this on the normal drinks menu, but when you come to the food menu it disappears. This only happens in a few Wetherspoons like the Electrical Wizard & Harry Clasper. But why? It is the same price as Hendricks which is always on the food menu. And why can you get it in the Company Row but not in either of the other pubs. Can somebody please explain?

One of my favourite Wetherspoons nothing not to like. Ground floor toilets is a bonus. 👍👍

Overall its what you would expect. Alright for an easy few drinks. Food can be hit or miss depending on what you order for example, Burgers are decent and safe option good value for money but every time I've order a chicken caesar salad the chicken is hard and stale having to ask for a new one and not really worth the price for that particular item. At least they humble the complaint and make fresh.

Still worth a visit. Prices are unbeatable.

First time trying the chargrilled half roast chicken. ( A friend had it in the Lime Kiln Spoons in Liverpool and enjoyed it). It appeared not to have been finished off on the grill and served with lukewarm chips. Disappointed.

Quiet Friday morning waiting for my car to be serviced I popped in and ordered a full English all was perfect and staff were lovely nice and polite, Thanks for a pleasant breakfast 😊👌😁

A typical 'Spoons pub. Needs a little more TLC but if you like to try different beers then it's right up your alley. There are better Spoons pubs within a 10 mile radius but if you're in Morpeth then give it a go.

Food was not up too standard bought burger chips and pizza food was very bad would buy food they again staff we're very nice just the food

Always busy staff work hard and always polite

Regular visitor to this pub food always good however Porridge this morning was dry so I asked for milk on was taken away then a male member of staff returned brayed the pot of porridge on my plate and said " Wet Porridge!".His attitude was unacceptable he has let himself the team and pub down.

Great Wetherspoons. You know what you’re getting. Cheap food, cheap drinks friendly staff. Absolutely tonnes of room for seating and loads of options for drinks at the bar.

Sadly poor quality meals... mrs, meal - chips cold 2 fried eggs cold and like rubber. Mr meal. Chips look warm peas stone cold. Dissapointing for Weatherspoons. Next time in Morpeth definate one for us to give a miss to.

Be careful when or if you order food with the app.I ordered scrambled egg on toast ,and beans on toast came , the waitress went and checked came no this what you have ordered, manager came and she said the same , no offer to change it , will never use the app again, complaint made on head office website ,

Great food always love a good wetherspoons with it's value for money and the different options for food.I had the tennessee chicken burger with chips and onion ring which was lovely. :)

The food that came was tasty and filling. However, there were a few issues that brought the whole experience down. Our drinks came and was missing blackcurrant from one of the ciders, a set pizza from the menu was missing half its toppings, extra unwanted sauce on a pudding almost caused it to be uneaten and extra added on and paid for cheese was missing from burger. They were so understaffed and clearly not paying attention to orders as they came in. A poor show for a weatherspoons to which we frequent the chains different locations throughout the country.

Been in there a few times on visits to Morpeth always busy. Good selection of food. Wines. Spirits and beer all at good prices. Staff always on the go. Worth a visit

Love going to spoons for food, cheap and cheerful, know what you're gonna get, but this was even less than mediocre even by their standards. Never mind was very cheap and will return

If an alcohol serving crèche/ day centre vibe is your thing, you are in for a treat. Staff are friendly too.

Food was cold, dirty uncleared tables, clearly insufficient staff to cope with a busy morning. We've been before several times and was always pretty good.

Food cold and tasteless sent back waited ages can't blame staff should of had at least 3extra members of staff place very busy staff deserve a medal and a payrise for working here .staff ran off there feet slave labour at its best 10/10 for staff will not be back

Food was a joke, a small jacket potato , 1 spoon of beans and a few flakes of cheese , I thought I had ordered from the children's meal, also my wife had to go ask for her drink as it dissapeared from the order . It was very busy, but loads were talking so loud that you could not have a conversation

The service was very good However you were getting a massive draft from the French doors,I asked the staff to close them in which they did . It started to warm up but then the air conditioning came on and the place became very cold yet again The food was pretty average as my meal was just satisfactory. The chips seamed to be a day old and my brother didn't touch his beef madras We wondered why customers left their meals All in all a very disappointed experience

Good food, excellent service but as always in a Weatherspoons restaurant you have a darkened atmosphere. TURN THE LIGHTS UP AND BRIGHTEN THE DINGY PLACE PLEASE.

I got a burger from here after a very long bike ride and I absolutely devoured it. Like any other wetherspoon service is fast and the food options are good and affordable.

Typical Wetherspoon close to the grebe of town. Wanted coffee, but one coffee machine was broken, the other only dispensed black drinks which you could top-up with cows milk from a jug.

Great food, great service and great value. Visited here with my wife for breakfast. The place was clean and tidy. We ordered via the app and the food came out relatively quickly and we'll cooked. Will definitely be back

Had my usual mixed grill, couple of the meats slightly tough but the flavour of all 4 very nice..Will still have the same next time..

Check the drinks prices, soooo cheap I think I paid c.£3 for a pint! Coming from Bir.imgham where you pay double I was happily surprised might go there for the week just for the cheap drinks lol

Excellent service and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We ate: Southern Fried chicken strips with chips and gravy, a small margherita pizza, large ham, egg (x2) and chips with bread and butter and a BBQ (beef) burger with chips. We all had alcoholic drinks and our bill came in at just under £40. No complaints and no leftovers. Would highly recommend.

Toilets dirty and clearly hadn't been checked for a while. Tables where sticky, lady behind the bar was rude and abrupt while serving drinks. Pub smelt of fat 🤢 Definitely won't be back in a hurry.

Was very busy but drinks and food brought promptly. Food was ok and staff were very nice.

A member of staff came up to me on my table and shouted "have you paid for that". The people on the surrounding tables could hear this. For some reason my card payment hadn't gone through and the cashier hasn't noticed. This was like ten minutes beforehand and I hadn't noticed.The staff could have dealt with this a lot better.

The colleagues behind the bar and in front are mint, but the chandelier is absolutely minging
