We went here Saturday lunchtime with family. Food was excellent! I messaged the restaurant in advance as one of our party is celiac (gluten free) and the restaurant was totally accommodating. Staff were attentive and we will be back. The espresso martini on draft was great!! It was relatively quiet being lunchtime but I would highly recommend you give this place a try!! (lamb masala, claypots we're fab). Thank you Bulls Head!

Good food & service, limited menu, decor was lacking partially due to covid restrictions. Main criticism is it was overpriced for a good restaurant

I'd head a good review about this place and, try as we might, we never got round to going for a meal (childcare, etc). We randomly decided to get a takeaway from here one night using their Click & Collect Service and chose a timeslot that gave them well over an hour to prepare our order. When my husband turned up to collect the order (he was 10 minutes late himself) they were still cooking it, citing a fault in their system. No biggie, we'd rather wait for freshly-cooked food, although I must say it was a very expensive order for what we had. One chicken tikka main, one vindaloo, one rice and two naans came to an eye-watering £34. I wouldn't normally pay that much to eat in. We were exceedingly disappointed with the quality of the food. The vindaloo was swimming with oil, the flavour was lacklustre, the portion somewhat parsimonious. The tikka was quite nice but the naan breads ... my GOD the nan breads ... were truly awful. I've never paid £4.50 before in my life for a nan bread (they normally average about £2.75 in a good Indian Curry House) and when you do you expect something extraordinary. We ordered a cheese naan and a keema naan. What we got were two saucer-sized limp wholemeal (what the hell?) bready type things with no evidence that they'd ever been near any cheese or keema. They arrived sliced up (I can slice my own naan bread, thank you!) and were flatter than a flat thing on a flat day. Overall it was flavourless and a complete rip-off and I will stick to Robby's, Undaal and Shenapur from now on.

Just called in, Wed. Oct 7th, on spur of moment, not a problem. First time visit since before lockdown, and we were amazed at how much care the managers had taken due to Covid. We felt really safe, as they had everything under control, with screened tables etc, table service as usual, via trolleys this time. Food as we remembered it, excellent and cooked exactly as ordered, so full of flavour. Staff polite and friendly as always, nothing too much trouble. Well worth a visit, but you need to be hungry as portions are generous. Thank you Bulls Head. Best regards Benjo303

Just finished a takeaway curry from here. Arrived quickly and the delivery guy was friendly. That’s about it for the positives. Ordered a butter chicken, they’re usually creamy and mild...this was very spicy and not creamy in the slightest. Tasted over garnished with coriander. The naan was also disappointing. Keema naan with no keema as it all fell out onto my kitchen side when I took it out of the packet. Normally keema is in slice form which stays inside the bread...this was crumbly mince form and just went everywhere. Won’t be ordering from here again, sorry! I really wanted to enjoy this as the place looks nice, but I’ve been left feeling like I’ve eaten a jar curry that I made at home.

Before I rave about the wonderful food- to anyone worried about going out for a meal go here. Of all the restaurants and pubs I’ve visited this is by far the most COVID safe. All the tables are separated by glass partitions. Your food comes untouched on a trolley. Only you touch the food and the plates etc. You can also see your food being prepared. There’s sanitiser everywhere and the toilets are safe The staff are friendly and informative. They are very attentive throughout your meal and nothing is too much trouble. Our waiters Angel and Ellie were brilliant. The food is to die for. Wonderfully tasty, great portions and served hot and looks and tastes great. Wonderful place. Wholeheartedly recommended.

I ordered a takeaway, small mixed grill. In my view it wasnt worth the money.£15 for three pieces of tikka,5 wings, two chops and a shish. I often have a small mixed grill from other places and it is always more than enough for two. I thought quantity was in keeping with the 'small'. Wont be going back.

Popped in here for a last minute lunch. Its been renovated in a more traditional way than when it was a "pie factory" pub, but is none the worse for that. Bright and comfy pub interior. Menu has traditional pub grub choices at great value prices. we ordered garlic mushrooms to stat ( tasty) and Fish & chips, plus Scampi and chips for our mains. Both were well cooked, and we loved the genuine home-made chips just like Mom used to make !Add to that a fine pint of guest ale and a smiling barmaid and we had a splendid lunch for not much cash. As experience increased it can only get better still. Well done the Bull 's Head !

Recently saw a offer for a three course valentines meal, £10.99 per person and it included a bottle bottle of wine per couple, so booked and wasn't expecting too much. However was plesently surprised, the food was basic but well cooked and the portions were very generous. The bottle of wine was also nice. The decor of the pub was nice and clean, and after talking to the staff found out that they had only recently taken over and were trying to build up their business. In my opinion its a real gem and local people should take advantage

We went here for a meal for my wife`s birthday we had seen it was under new management and decided to give it a try as we had been there before and it was quite good. What a disaster!!! We ordered food for 7 people but was told several items from the menu were not available but we chose alterative items and after 50 minutes had not had any food or items of cutlery etc and we were told it would be another few minutes. After 1 hour we decided to ask for a refund which was paid back as cash and not refunded to my card but without apology. It was an awful experience totally disorganised and we will not be going again.

We went on a Sunday and two members of the group ordered off the main menu (as encouraged by the bar staff). Everyone else in the restaurant was having carvery, so wouldn't have thought it would take too long for two meals - how wrong was I. After waiting over an hour the meals were chased at the bar, the 'half roast chicken' was actually a deep fried chicken quarter, and dry as a bone, and the oil obviously needed changing as the chips were a funny colour and had a horrible taste. Truly awful meal!

It has been many years since I visited this pub, but thought we'd give it a try for Sunday Lunch. The pub was busy and I think we took the last table. The staff were all polite and friendly. There were four meats on offer, Turkey, Pork, Gammom and Beef. I chose Turkey and Pork and the chap serving gave me a more than ample plate full. The veg was very disappointing. The sprouts, Brocolli and Cauliflour looked off colour and not at all appetising, hence I was not brave enough to try them. The boiled potatoes were hard and the roast potatoes not good at all. Though the carrots and creamed leeks were lovely. Overall it was a disappointing Sunday lunch and unfortunately not something I'd like to try again.

Went today and had a a dreadful time, pub not busy however still had to wait to be served, grumpy staff and then tepid food, the turkey was so dry he couldn't carve it, the carrots were brown and i did point this out to him, he shrugged his shoulders, over cooked roasters that seemed to be frozen but we were assurred they weren't, i did ask for the manager and was told they were not in, got a refund so fair enough, however the cook then came out and was not pleasant and was somewhat confrontational she sampled the food and said that the lamps had been turned down and she thought that although it wasn't hot it wasnt cold, this is why i have put tepid, so who wants tepid veg, hard spuds and bad attitude, will not be going again and please note I never leave bad reviews and would not have done had she not been so unpleasant.

We are sampling all the all you can eat breakfast buffets in our area, and I can honestly say this is the best so far. Nicely cooked food and plenty of it with bottomless cups of tea and coffee, all for a fiver. The pub itself was very clean with spotless mugs and cutlery. The only downside to these buffets is the eggs, why don't they provide some choice of egg and also a toaster, you could build a wall with the brick hard toast and that goes for all of the establishments not just the Bulls Head., but well worth a visit.

We went here recently gor a family meal on a Sunday afternoon. 3 in the party had the carvery and were happy with the ample portions and selection of meats and vegetables. The starters we ordered (being hungry/greedy) were very reasonable. Cheesy nachos were less than £3 and probably enough for 2 people to share. My meal was a steak and rib combo and the steak was tender and tasty. Ribs were nice too. There was so much that unusually I didn't manage to finish my main and nobody had dessert. Main was about £13 to 14. The staff made a small portion of food for our toddler and were very obliging. Would recommend and will most return for a meal. Nicely renovated inside
