Very friendly pub. We visited on a weekend away. The landlady and landlord we’re brilliant. Told us what places to visit locally, where to eat and put the jukebox on for us with all our requested songs. Great night especially the cherry rum!!!!

Popped in here for pre match drinks and was made to feel very welcome by the landlady. Good beer, good food which was reasonably priced and football, what more can you want. Will definitely go back

We had to wait an hour for our food even though we had said the time we needed to leave. We were given free drinks to appease us but we would be driving later and it was food we needed not drink.... Nice gesture though. When food eventually came it was fine but of course by then we didn't have time to enjoy it! Staff courteous and apologetic.

I moved to Surrey not knowing anyone coming to this pub and brought me social skills that I never knew I had the food is great and the company is greater there karaoke nights and open mic nights are the best I’ve ever been to absolutely recommend this pub to anyone

Honestly this was one of the worst experiences of a pub we've ever had. The barman/manager was up there with the most rude and stubborn people to walk the earth. He left the door open on a cold and breezy March afternoon, refused to close it when asked politely and even tutted when we asked for the bill and paid seperately. The food was extremely poor and made one of our party ill for the remainder of his weekend. In closing, do not go to this pub!!!!

Nice place to have a drink. The staff were nice and as it was mid afternoon the place was nearly empty. All in all though enjoyed my beer.

Called in here after walking around on a cool winters morning. Landlord and landlady greeted us and we decided to stay and have a bite to eat, Menu quite limited but what we choose was cooked well and served hot. During our meal, a man who was blind came in and the landlady went out of her way to make sure he was comfortable, even helping him remove his coat and making sure that when his food order arrived he knew eher to find the cutlery and what order his food was served on his plate. Huge respect to her, this is what helps me to believe that human kindness does still in fact exists

We stopped in here just to watch the rugby so it came as a pleasant surprise to find somewhere we would return to. Food is home cooked and delicious. Service is warm and friendly and Gemma and her staff couldn’t have done more for us. If you are after good honest pub grub and a warm old fashioned welcome then this is the pub for you. A real gem if you’re bored of the same old, same old try hard gastro pubs.

Pleasant enough-if a little rough and ready. Cold on a chilly evening. Nice enough barman, but he appeared somewhat dozy and didn’t understand my request for a bottle of still mineral water, offered me tap and presented me with a bottle of sparkling water. I didn’t complain because it was just a pit stop, but it’s not really a pub I’d return to.

More like a club for locals than a proper pub. Music ridiculously loud because one of them wanted to dance...no thought for other customers.

We came here late one Friday night. It was quite warm and stuffy. Adequate seating as it is quite small. Nice service and staff, especially when my friend knocked her drink over. Pool table.

We had a family Sunday roast on 28/09/2014. The menu is simple and cheap. Although not the best roast dinner in Dorking. For the price it was a bargain.

After changing many landlords, trying to be a posh restaurant, a pizzeria, a sports bar and just the village pub-which is what this establishment was most successful at (in particular during lockdown it provided a welcome chilling opportunity with its large beer garden and kids area) … this longstanding local pub has closed down. Bookham locals will miss its familiar band nights and outdoor summer time drinking

Went over to the Abinger Hatch today for a sunday roast with my mum for our early Christmas dinner. What a treat! We both had the chicken roast and wow! The chicken itself was superb. Very soft and tons of flavour. The veg was on point and i hate veg. So thats saying something. The gravy and potatoes just mwah. We then ordered a couple of drinks that came over in a good time baring in mind it was packed we had great service, very quick and very attentive. For desert i had the chocolate browine with a gorgeous topping of icecream. And this was a propper brownie! So well done the hatch. Mum was recommended the sticky toffee pudding. This for her she said was a great choice so fair play to the waitress who recommended this. Couple more drinks and then the bill. Smiles all around every in its very busy time. To me that a sign of pure class and great customer service. Thanka to all that helped and served. We will be back thats a promise! Thanks Abinger Hatch.

I had a really enjoyable experience at the Edmund Tylney. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The pub has a nice atmosphere and is a great place to meet up with friends.
