Went for a quick lunch in between our train stops. Food took almost an hour to come out with some of us finishing eating before others started resulting in us left having to scoff our food down so we didn’t miss the train! Chips were smothered in oil and the burger was almost undercooked. Tables left uncleaned and service was poor. This needs to improve as the place has good potential but need some serious help

Arrived at 1.45 new year's eve, they were stopping taking food orders at 2. The 2 young ladies serving tried to time us out by ignoring us, and when they realised they couldn't they were totally indignant, and gave appalling service . verging on aggressive.

What an amazing station cafe. Great food and service - the home made cakes are to die for. Love all the railway memorabilia, especially the old ticket office.

Friendly service but the food itself wasn't the best. Stringy undercooked bacon, four tiny overcooked fried potatoes, far too many cheap beans,. The egg was nice and the sausage was ok. Expensive for what it was though and the noise of the fridge was so loud, maybe give the grid on the fan a clean as it was covered in fluff and dust.

Such a fab station and the cafe is a godsend! I got a whole cheddar with crackers, pickle and butter in a little salad bowl to take on the train. Such a cool idea. Big choice of food and they say certain things can be made quickly if you are rushing for the train

We travelled from Crewkerne to Okehampton just to have a look at the fairly-recently re-opened station. It was a rainy day and it kept us in the dry! The station, and in particular the Bulleid Buffet, was a delight. The buffet was kept busy serving food while we were there. We didn't have much, but it was lovely and served with a smile. Well done!!

I called into the cafe en-route to a night camping on the moors. Excellent coffee and choice of cakes. I had a piece of bread and butter pudding which I stowed away in my backpack for later. It was better than Kendall mint cake and kept my energy levels up whilst walking. I returned the next morning having walked for seven miles off the moors to have a sausage and egg bap. It tasted delicious and the flat white coffee which I also had was strong and hot. Excellent service on both visits. I really couldn't praise this place enough.

Banoffee Brownie with Clotted Cream, Boom! Taste explosion. Just what was needed after a long walk on the moors. Dreaming of my next visit. Think it will be breakfast before my next walk?

Popped in to the station on the off chance there may be a cafe there and it may be open, as I'd driven through Okehampton and hadn't found a coffee house open and I don't do those high street places that serve you brown dishwater in a bucket and call it coffee. Anyway, I discovered there was a cafe and it was open. And what a delightful warm and welcoming place it was. A counter full of home made cakes and an abundance of snack and meal choices. A full list of coffee to have in or take away. The staff were all smiley and friendly. As for the coffee - it was perfect, strong and two shots. One of the best takeaway coffees I've tasted.

The Buffet is a must if you visit Okehampton Station or are passing through and want something a bit different. Spotlessly clean and well set out. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a good selection of food available which was reasonably priced. On the day of my visit it was pouring with rain and blowing a gale and the all day breakfast was really what I needed before my return journey. Will certainly return.

A pleasant cafe environment with interesting historical details. Excellent home-made food served by friendly efficient staff. Contributed to a great day out on the newish Railway Line, with regular connections by bus into Okehampton itself. Museum looked good but was closed.

The station at Okehampton has been sensitively renovated. The cafe offers takeaway food as well as more substantial meals to eat in. The waitress was very polite and helpful. The cheese scones are tasty and hot. There is also a small museum and shop on the station. They are also worth a visit.

This was my first visit to the cafe. It was raining when I left the train so I decided to pop in and have a bite to eat with a cup of tea. I noticed delicious homemade quiche and cake. I opted for the Victoria Sponge and it was a generous slice. I loved the feel of the cafe and the welcoming staff. Lots to choose from and, although not cheap, everything looked of good quality and was homemade.

A little bit pricey but a really nice, well cooked and presented full English (Meldon) breakfast. Set me up very well for a good long walk. A good range of cakes, scones and brownies which would have tempted me had I been there for coffee instead.

Went for our work Christmas lunch. A good range of well price food options. Produced to a really high standard in a nice friendly environment. Right on the platform but you don’t need to be travelling to use the cafe.

I have eaten at the Three Crowns many times and its always been very good, however although perfectly edible the last meal I had there was disappointing. I was looking forward to a sunday roast and because there was no information about the provenance of any of the meat I decided to opt for the nut roast, which was really dry and crumbly, the roast potatoes instead of being lovely and crispy and caramelised were served whole and barely coloured. The cauliflower cheese was bland - I'm sorry but the meal lacked care and flavour - not up to the usual standard sadly.

I ordered a large pastie which I paid £4.50 what I got was a small pastie which waisted terrible. How oggy can say they are the best pastie around I don't know they are rubbish. And should be ashamed selling small pastie as a large. You even need to clean up ur shop and stop ur staff from picking there nose wen serving.

Went for dinner with the family and friends and we were all extremely impressed. The service was excellent. From entering to leaving, everyone was great, everyone was friendly and couldn't do enough to make sure we were well looked after. The food was fantastic, every dish from the childrens to adults, starters, mains and desert was amazing. Well presented, cooked to perfection and extremely tasty. We'll definitely go back when in the area again and would highly recommend going there.
