Despite the poor local weather, the team Bull served a banging pizza tonight with great chicken wings. Great job, highly recommended 👏🏻👏🏻

A very pleasant village pub. Interesting ales and friendly staff and patrons. Dog friendly.

We first visited here for a Sunday lunch and got a great table in its huge garden with stunning views, the roasts were delicious and plentiful and the staff are really friendly. Their homemade sausage meat stuffing is the best I have ever had in any pub or restaurant I have eaten in ( it’s worth going for that alone)! We have since been back mid week and also dined in the garden and tried the burgers and pies which were equally as delicious as the roasts. The pub itself is lovely inside and the owners obviously take a lot of pride in the establishment as well as a lot of investment throughout including new buildings outside to accommodate customers.

Perfect little pub for a cosy drink and one of the most enjoyable roast dinners I’ve had. Plenty of meat, plenty of freshly cooked veg inc cauliflower cheese (yum) and fantastic roast potatoes. Oh and the Yorkshires…. HUGE!

We visited today, as a halfway meeting point for our family to meet up between Essex and East Sussex, what wonderful food we had! Enormous portions, perfect roasties,good range of veg, cauli cheese, sausage stuffing ball etc. We had various roasts - beef, chicken and lamb shank and kids nuggets! All cooked to perfection, we had an issue with just the one beef as was just a dodgy cut but we were generously compensated by Katy to enhance our overall experience. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this pub and its food and we are thinking of returning again for a pre family Christmas meal. Added bonus of beautiful outside space and some Wintery sunshine :)

Went for the pizza evening on a Tuesday, great service, knowledgeable staff, friendly locals, fantastic garden.

Absolutely spot on Sunday lunch (particularly the lamb shank) and very friendly staff. 10/10 on all fronts! A nice view from the garden too.

Just attended The Bull on their Pizza Night now cooked by Katy the licensee. They used to have someone come in to cook them. Have to say it was absolutely awesome. I had the extra meaty, our son the barbecue chicken with extra mushrooms and my mother-in-law the Hawaiian. Washed down by a couple of pints of Tribute. Great evening.

This is a lovely pub with a friendly atmosphere and a great menu. We enjoyed a Ploughman's lunch with delicious ham/gammon and cheese with a generous selection of accompaniments and salad. The beer went down a treat (we tried the Kentish IPA) on a warm summer's day and enjoyed the view. A real treat! We will definitely be back.

Came here for some lunch and a few drinks after a walk with friends. A lovely local pub serving traditional pub food, service was warm and friendly and a great selection of beers on offer. We sat in what can only be described as one of the best pub gardens in Kent. With lovely views over the Darent Valley. staff were friendly and even came out to give the dog some treats. Highly recommended!

We stopped here as an alternative to a motorway services - and we are sure glad we did! The food was great (scampi, chips and mushy peas) with a special shout out to the chips which were brilliant! The drinks were good and the staff were lovely - definitely would recommend and will stop here if passing on the M25 in the future. Thank you!

We were told about this pub by friends, we didn't know it even existed. We visited on a sunny midweek lunchtime when it was not too busy but we were still able to get a good feel for the place. It is in truth a nice friendly village pub with a good selection of draught beers and delicious pub food on offer. The food is freshly cooked and served with a smile. An added bonus is the large beer garden with beautiful views across the valley. Definitely a place to visit.

We were told last minute that we would be in the heated Marquee. It had only one heater and was very cold so we had to sit in our coats. The publican did all she could to rectify this but the heater she brought in blew a fuse. The burgers that my husband and friend had were ok but my lamb shank was aweful - not hot, semi-warm with congealed gravy. The 'seasonal veg' turned out to be frozen peas. There was no table service - we had to keep going to the bar to order and had to get our own cutlery. immediately inside the door to the Ladies, was a step, which I fell down (didn't notice whether there was a warning sign). The menu on the website was out of date as regards prices - they were a pound or two higher. We did not stay for a dessert or coffee.

My search for a good roast potato is over! Our roast dinner was one of the best I can remember, and good value. Great service too - a friendly bunch!

For Easter Sunday we decided to try The Bull’s take away roast. All the family loved it. All the meats and sides were amazing. The portions were large, the service picking them up was very good. Great way to have a Sunday roast

I came to the bull about a week ago or so with a few friends we had a beautiful cooked meal would definitely recommend the beautiful bull burger and the chicken kickers, the landlord was so friendly and welcoming and such lovely staff would recommend to everyone I know and definitely will be going back soon

Had a lovely meal from The Bull, it was very busy (as it was mother's day) but we didn't have to wait too long. Food was excellent and nothing is too much trouble for the landlady Katy, she makes you feel very welcome.

Went to the Bull for a pizza night great to see a lovely little local pub doing their own fresh pizzas. Very impressed with the size and the portions of toppings ... and ... even accomodated me with gluten free! Definitely returning on a Tuesday...

Recently moved to the village and just love this pub. Superb selection of cask ales and excellent service from the team. The food is good value too and it just has the ideal country pub feel. Can’t wait until it’s warmer to enjoy their lovely garden!

I will not be going back to this pub. As I felt very uncomfortable by the landlady and unwelcome. There are plenty more pubs in the area that cannot do enough, to make you feel happy drinking in their premises.

Lovely pub, have beaver town neck oil which is relatively hard to find but a lovely IPA, friendly staff and even let you clean your visor after a day at brands hatch. Strongly suggest to the motorcyclist community 👍🏾

Looks like a great place to watch sports, many TVs around and a great outdoor section with many tables to enjoy when it’s sunny. The food was meh which is the only reason I’d give 4 stars compared to the 5. Overall I would come again.

This pub sometimes gets overlooked because of the Fighting Cocks in the same village but The Bull is by far the best pub in Horton Kirby and South Darenth. Beautiful views from their garden, dog friendly, pizzas on a Tuesday are delicious! Friendly, welcoming owners....
