It's a great spot between hikes (or at the end)—a lovely pub with a good selection of drinks. Please note: they do not serve food between 4 and 6 p.m on Sunday and stop serving food at 2:30 Delicious Sunday Roast and good portion!

Met here with 4 friends from all over the country for Sunday lunch. Excellent food and service.

We popped in for a well deserved cheeky beer and glass of wine after a long walk. It was busy with a lovely atmostphere. We sat at the bar and ordered a couple of starters. The drinks and food were fabulous. We were served by Sara who was professional and attentive. A real credit to the pub.

So lucky to have this gem of a pub on our doorstep. Would highly recommend. Consistently excellent. Always a warm welcome. Amazing service and fantastic food. The burger is the best in the area. So is the roast, can’t beat. Simply a great pub, great food, run by great people. If you’ve not been get yourself down there! Simply awesome.

This is my second review because I only did you one review I belive Because I remember only one review for Bucks Head I'm doing two reviews I went to bucks head today with my mum dad and my sister mollie for lunch today I enjoyed my starters having the bread and lovely hummas sauce with it which was very tasty I enjoyed the chips I liked the salty taste to it I think makes the chips more taster I enjoyed my cheeseburger too That was the best lunch I ever had I feel like it been a while since I eaten lunch there This is the first time I have eaten lunch there Your food gets 5 out of 5 very good Your service gets 5 out of 5 very good Atmosphere gets 5 out of 5 very good Your pub gets 5 out of 5 star rating Your staff are very kind honest caring and think they are very kind to all the people that go to this bucks head pub everyday for lunch I liked my apple juice that I had for my drink This was the best apple juice I have ever had Not too bad Hope you like my second good review Hopefully this makes more people want to go to the bucks head pub for lunch Enjoy reading my good second review

Cracking pub with a great atmosphere, excellent food and warm service from friendly people. Perfect after trudging the quagmire of Knoll Park’s lesser known paths.

Best pub we've been to in the South East - honestly brilliant. Beautiful location (try the Knole > Ightham Mote circular if you're up to it), great atmosphere, excellent food. Have been twice and every meal we had was cracking. Smash burger is the best burger I've ever had at a pub, fish and chips great too. There are more refined dishes as well that are really well executed. Staff are just lovely too. It's everything a pub should be.

Shepherd Neame pub with a good selection of real ales. Excellent roast dinner - pork, beef, chicken and veggie options with plenty of roast potatoes. Decent selection of starters. Service excellent. Very dog friendly. Easy walks to Knole Park nearby. Note - limited parking. Overall a very good choice for a Sunday lunch.

Company Christmas lunch at the Bucks Head was perfect! Great atmosphere, service and food. A fabulous experience.

Met up for (pre-booked) lunch with family ( party of 6), Friday lunchtime. A friendly & relaxed welcome, followed by excellent service, (always attentive but never in your face) with an excellent selection of courses. I must recommend the Game Pie - TO DIE FOR.....SERIOUSLY!! Also a good selection of beers, wines & spirits if you are not driving. Altogether a brilliant experience, although we live in the North of England this is a place we will return to the next time we visit - can highly recommend.

We planned to walk in the park and have dinner here but rain stopped the walk however we decided to still go for lunch despite living 45 minutes away . We were not disappointed the roast dinner was delicious as were the deserts . The staff were very welcoming and the atmosphere was very relaxed . We will definitely return .,

Warm & pleasant welcome and good service throughout. We were a group of friends getting together for a Christmas meal & had pre-ordered from their Christmas Menu Everyone seemed pleased with their food, 3 courses, except those that had Turkey Roast commented that the roast potatoes were very hard with some impossible to cut. Overall we enjoyed a nice evening with a warm ambience in The Pub, with attention paid to some particular needs of people in the Group. Will look forward to going back there again after Christmas. Thank you to all concerned.

Fantastic pub and lovely people who can’t do enough for you. We had the Christmas lunch menu and it was a feast. Food was delicious. Between us all we tried everything on the Christmas menu and the food was very tasty with generous portions. You can’t go wrong with any of the dishes - venison starter in particular was a highlight. Thank you Hope, James and team for looking after us so well.

The food we had for lunch was excellent. I had fish and chips and the fish was tasty, batter very light and the chips were homemade and excellent. The tartare sauce was also homemade and fresh tasting. My husband had venison sausage Tagine which he said was very good. For dessert we shared a sticky toffee pudding. We both commented that it is one of the best and lightest STPs we’ve had for a long long time. The service during lunch was excellent. The only negative was that the pub was cold and we had to keep our jackets on to eat lunch. The main log fire was lit but had only just got going and it seemed the logs were damp and did not throw out much heat. On a chilly November day it would have been good if the smaller log fire near the door had been lit as well. Overall our visit was a good experience.

I was expecting great things having read all the reviews but sadly we were not impressed with our Sunday roasts. Staff very charming and attentive and it was very busy for a Sunday afternoon. We started with baked Camembert. This came with 5 small pieces of bread. Albeit my Husband and I shared this so we only had 2 and half pieces of bread each. We still had lots of cheese left so asked for some more bread. They returned with 4 small pieces not toasted this time. To my shock we were charged £2.00 for the extra bread!! I opted for the Sirloin of Beef this came with 2 slim slices of beef, 1 carrot, 1 parsnip, swede, Yorkshire pudding and red cabbage. The roast potatoes tasted like they had been cooked early this morning and reheated for when are meal was served. The dinner was at best, warm and there was hardly any gravy on the plate. We requested some more and this was brought over straight away. Maybe we ate late at 3pm so it may well have been better if we had come along at 1-1.30pm. For the four of us, we were disappointed. We have had much better locally so sadly unsure as to whether we will return.

We do love this pub. Warm, welcoming atmosphere. Good selection of beers and wine. Polite and efficient staff and great food. We were a party of 5 and had 3 fish and chips, a burger and a fish pie. All of us were delighted with our food, the fish and chips was great, accompanied by an excellent, homemade tartare sauce. Very good value for money too.

The best burger in Sevenoaks….heck, in Kent that I’ve ever had!!!! Absolute must try. Portions are great and price really good. If smash burgers tickle your fancy I strongly suggest trying this place!!!

First visit and we were very impressed by the great service and amazing food. We will be back and would definitely recommend (as long as you keep it a secret!). The mushroom velouté starter was to die for.

Came here after a long walk and had two burgers, fries, and beer, best pub burger we’ve had thus far in England. Hidden gem. Plenty of garden space in the back for our dog and even made him a little pup patty at our request. Friendly, charming, and delicious. Thanks Bucks Head!

Had dinner with friends on Friday evening. Really friendly and buzzing atmosphere. Steaks perfectly cooked and good wine selection. The transformation since the new landlords took over is amazing.

The Bucks Head is a beautiful pub, really friendly, attentive staff. We had the pulled pork bao bun and prawns to start. Full of flavour, so delicious and fresh. Followed by a roast chicken meal, roast beef and a child's roast chicken. The meat was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, the cauli cheese was to die for. We rarely eat a roast out but saw a couple of people tucking in to theirs as we arrived and they looked delicious, so we went for it. So glad we did! By far the best roast we've had in a LONG while, possibly ever! We loved the friendly atmosphere from both the staff and the locals, everyone was really pleasant. We will definitely be coming back and will be telling everyone about our amazing experience! Thank you!

Having completed a 7mile walk around the gorgeous countryside we ended up at the Bucks Head, so thought we'd see what they offered food wise. Their menu looked amazing. I can always tell how good a place might be food the number of items on the menu, the fewer, the better. Bucks Head had a short menu, with everyone of the items sounding mighty tasty. The lovely lady serving us suggested their award winning, Double Smash Cheeseburger and the Superfood Salad for my partner. I opted to add bacon to my meaty offering. The food arrived promptly and wow!! My burger was amazing. Super tasty, and the bacon, usually limp and undercooked, was crispy and tasty. The fries were super crispy and tasty as well. Probably one of the best burgers I'd had in a decade 😊. My partner's Salad was plentiful and she said it was super delish. So, in summary.....give this little gem of a country pub a go, the staff are super friendly and happy to advise on menu items. I can't fault this pub one bit

Booked a table, they got very busy. Parking can be tight, as people often park for local walks. Not much space in the pub, some street based parking. Lovely food, great staff and had a great Sunday lunch.

Only stopped off for drinks and snacks following a long Sunday walk. But really loved the friendly device, cheery atmosphere and the very dog friendly ethos. Excellent pint of Spitfire and a very good home made sausage roll. We will look to return for a longer visit.

Delicious food, great selection of beers. You rarely go wrong with a Shepherd Neame pub and this certainly was no exception! We ate outside in the garden and it was delightful. Great for dogs too, they even have a doggy menu!

This is the friendliest pub that I have ever visited in England. The staff and clientele are all so welcoming and lovely. James and Holly, the owners, are simply lovely people and the food is fabulous. The freshest and best fish and chips I’ve had here in England and their Sunday lunch roasts are a must. We, Annie and Bruce, are visiting from Australia and Mark from the US. We stayed in the area for two weeks, visiting the pub most nights and it never ceased to provide us with the warmest reception and enjoyment.

what a nice little pub we found. arrange to meet half way between our homes to meet our friends, pub was warm and welcoming service was amazing staff attentive, food was amazing defo would be back definitely worth a vist.

Visited today for the 1st time and we were not disappointed. The food is wonderful and the service was friendly and welcoming from the moment you arrive. We did bring a dog with us and she was very welcome. The pub is traditionally decorated and has beautiful open fireplaces. They do offer a childrens menu or smaller plates from the main menu. We did not have to wait long for our any of our food, which was hot and very generous in portion size. We managed to park on the forecourt, this is small and there is also parking on the road. Will definitely recommend and visit again.

We went to the Bucks Head after a Christmas Carol service so arrived at the sort of time the kitchen would be preparing to end their day. We were given such a warm welcome and served in such a friendly way with no sense of being rushed. Our meal was delicious and I really look forward to our next visit.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful, including when we accidentally spilled tea all over the place. Ate here on Sunday a few weeks back. Ordered the Beef Roast, could have eaten double it. Tiny tiny portion. Creme Brulee i could eat in one spoonful and for £7... Wine was served in Gin glasses and an annoying doorbell is rung every 5 minutes to inform staff kitchen food is ready. A decent Guiness on tap but won't be heading back.
