Purchased small egg fried rice. Small chips and carton of curry. £7? Even though the small egg fried rice is £3, so £4 for the chips and curry. Got it home, egg fried rice was freezing, had to put it in the microwave. Chips were like mash.

I can only speak for the chips and sausage, curry, rice and chips, pizza, pie dinner and vegetarian meals.My son likes this chippy and it's our Friday night takeaway go to. We normally don't have to wait long, delivery drivers and girls who take your order are friendly. The food is delicious and we always enjoy our dinner. The food is always hot on arrival. The only thing I would say is you have to order £10 worth of food for delivery. This may put some people off. Also I'm vegetarian and the meals don't come with bean curd, Tofu or Quorn. It's just vegetables. If there was a meat alternative I would buy more meals.

Orders for deliver... Fish was nice but Luke warm, peas hard as rock and chips were soggy and cold... U had crispy chicken very tough would not recommend this chippy to anyone... Very dissappointed

Am very disappointed, ordered wonton char Sui and noodle soup, soup tasted beef buljong, wonton had minced beef , and what was supposed to be CHAR SUI WAS SLITTERS OF BEEF, OLSO ordered special chow main, noodle, onions, little BEEF, couple of what ithink is chicken, tasteless fried egg a lot of sou, no prawns anything that made it special. For the majority of my food from there has been good. So very disappointed. And think with regret, that I will not go back.

can't even get egg fried rice right - brown and plastic tasting zero flavour, chips full of frazzly bits; garlic/mushroom bread - really doughy and sat heavy in my stomach. £2.70 for 1.5 ltr of pop. All in all paid £17 and apart from the drinks it was a waste of money. Will drive further afield next time. Shame because i've not been for a while so was shocked at how downhill it's gone.

The food here is good but they let themselves down with delivery. As with all takeaways, when you call they always say its with the driver. The drivers get the raw deal and the abuse when they turn up at a customers door. I know its stating the obvious but the driver can only deliver when he has the food. The fault is with the shop. Don't say delivery will be 45 minutes when in reality it could be anywhere between one hour and ninety minutes. Some people have conditions where they have to count for carb intake and need to eat within a set time. I doubt anyone who runs a takeaway would even consider this. So its not just about "where's my food?". There can be more to it.

Had a bad time from this place some time ago but decided to give a 2nd chance. Braindead, unable to get an order correct. My daughter wanted gravy and chips. They failed to put gravy on. I asked for a Donner Kebab with all the salad, came with no salad and swamped in sauce, completely inedible. Avoid

I was up in bootle with my kids before we drove back home we decided to nip into a takeaway and grab something to eat . We ordered quite a few things vegetable chow mein for me , salt and pepper chicken and salt and pepper chips for my eldest , chicken burger and chips , chicken nugget kids meal and a big cheese pizza . Gutted we don't live in bootle because it was by far the best takeaway we have visited . Food was cooked to perfection and the staff were so polite and friendly . Will definitely be coming again next time were in bootle thanks so much

I'm new to area and tried loads of local chippys and this is the best. Kebabs spot on and not too spicy, nice fresh salad, chips are how I like them fresh and unlike others always hot. Ive also had chicken chowmein from there and that was lovely too.

Dont bother with the brothers grim. Got special fried rice, there was absolutely nothing special about this tasteless offering . All it contained was char sui pork , chicken, ham and rice with an omelette on top. No prawns, peas,spring onions, sesame oil or taste . Save your money and buy a bag of sawdust and eat that . Shoite

Went here and ordered a fish dinner and salt and pepper chicken. I waited outside for about 30 minutes for it to cook. I got home I had no peas on my fish dinner. When I called up I got told to take it back ‘and they will see what they can do’ not send a new one out with a driver or whatever. Save your money guys go to George Gerrys on Aintree road!

Tried this place for the first and last time during lockdown as my usual chippy is shut. Nothing positive to say. Had to wait 50 minutes for a collection order on a weeknight. When finally ready it was all very greasy, soggy, over cooked and tasteless.

After looking for a chippy, my 2 children go in to be top they have had a power cut and everything is off, kids come back to the car to tell me and a lady comes out and says what is it you are after we said just chips and got told they was fine, after paying £5.10 for 3 large bags of chips to get them in the car and they was stone cold, the bag was damp from where they was hot at one point, as I go back to tell them it was cold the door of the shop was locked and you could hear a male and female arguing through the door couldn’t get a refund or anything I ended up throwing the chips in the bin outside the one stop next to the restaurant, I tried to ring but due to power cut it just rang out and the next day was no answer, DONT SELL THE FOOD IF ITS COLD! I will not be going back here again

Never had a bad meal from here and would recommend. Good pizza, great burgers and kebabs as well as nice chips. Reasonably priced and a vast menu selection.

Having tried the local peeps and was physically sick this chippy was great , been back loads , great shop

I love this takeaway. The pizza is lovely and their curry is the best curry i've tasted. we ordered at around 10:20pm and it was due at 11:10pm and it arrived at 10:45pm. you'll never order from a better takeaway.

Salt and pepper Chicken was so tough it was hard to even chew it could tell it must of been warmed up more than once discusting! Fried rice was cold. Prawn toast cold. Hole lot went in the bin waste of money

Good food as always. Kebab was a bit bland the garlic bread was disappointing but it was quick and we've never had a problem with delivery or anything before and the prices are reasonable so not much to complain about really

Possibly the worst food I’ve ordered. Hot and sour soup was like water. Duck was rock hard. Char Sui had no flavour what so ever. Wouldn’t recommend

Took a long time for delivery 1.5hrs after ordering so food was not hot enough

My full order did not arrive on time and when it was raised they informed me that it would be over 20 but it arrived an hour later. The food also tasted like cardboard, the kebab tasted plastic while the chips were very dry. The chicken, in the egg and chicken fried rice tasted plastic also and the rice was dry and tasteless. Overall the quality of both the service and food was at the lowest possible quality. Would strongly avoid ordering food from here.

Ordered from here because the last time we tried it, the food was lovely and fresh. This time was a different story. Appalling to say the least. The pizza cost an extra £1.60 for the two toppings which wouldn't be an issue except there was ONE tiny slice of chicken on the whole pizza and hardly any pepperoni. The cheese was non existent about a teaspoons worth on the whole thing and one slice never even had any on it. To add to that, it was freezing cold and under cooked so I had to put it in my own oven for 15 minutes to cook! Ordered a portion of chips and curry sauce, chips were swimming in grease and again completely undercooked. Some were still hard and rhey were still white. Curry sauce was nice but again, freezing so we had to warm that up. Ordered a barm to go with it and that was stale. The kids meal was hot but the chicken nuggets weren't cooked through so again... they had to go in the oven. The prawn toast and sweet and sour sauce were also both freezing and the toast wasn't even cooked whatsoever so that went in the oven also. To top it all off they forgot one of the drinks and took an hour and a half to deliver which was 20 minutes over the time they gave. I paid £20 for food for the family which two of us couldn't eat because it was disgusting/stale and that I had to basically cook 90% of myself! Of course the phone is just ringing out and just eat wouldn't do anything because they couldn't get in touch either. Worst experience I've had in a long time and I won't be going here again.

Our experience was terrible we are regular customers and ask for our food to be prepared and cooked a certain way! Asked for a garlic bread to be well done and was so pale didn't even look like it had been cooked. Also asked for Cheesy fries and chips where hard and like rubber like they had been left there for ages, they had cooked them then left them in the heater, box was mashed as well. Phoned them about this and attitude on Adam the owner was appalling didn't even say sorry and was blaming everyone else saying he wasn't even there. Needs to stop going out and concentrate on his business and change his attitude! WILL NOT BE ORDERING FROM HERE AGAIN.

Asked for pizza and received calzone with hardly any meat or cheese in, basically tasted of just bread and onion, very disappointing as the pizza was very nice the first two times I ordered from there.

Fast delivery, big portions only downside is I got given the wrong sauce on my kebab luckily I like spicy things Pizza was fresh and tasty very enjoyable I will definitely order again in the future.. Thank you

I use this chippy a far bit and usually have a decent meal however when I ordered last ,the meal was awful chips were hard, sausage was burnt to a crisp and the fried rice tasted gritty proper disappointed had to put most if it in the bin ;(

the food was lukewarm and the portions were tiny, not the worst tasting food but not filling at all and very overpriced for the amount you get.

One of the worst Chinese takeaways I've had. Burnt prawn toast, overly salty bbq ribs, soggy prawn crackers etc. Srvice however was good and delivery was on time.

Fried rice had 1 slither of chicken in it the charsui soup only had 2 pieces of meat in it the chips were cold total joke and when complaining to just eat they cut me off

I asked for 2 'half & half', one with curry and one with gravy. I got 2 curry. My daughter doesn't like curry so we have one meal over and had to cobble together another meal for her from bits of ours. One item on the order was a donner kebab with salad. The salad consisted of 1 half slice of cucumber, 1 half slice of tomato, about half a lettuce and half a sliced onion. The special chow mein only had chicken in it, no other meat, but I was charged for the special, not the chicken, which would have been cheaper. I'm not one who enjoys leaving negative reviews, but this is the third time in a row that they have messed my order up. This used to be a great chippy but it has gone down the nick now.

Singapore vermicelli was lovely just missing prawns? Not sure if certain chippys make it different or not but anyway it was nice. Ordered a kids meal sausage & chips but was sent small sausage dinner with gravy. Not sure if it was a good gesture or not but my daughter wouldn't eat it as she likes everything separate ha. She ate the sausages tho. Delivery was early & delivery man was lovely. Will still order again :)

I ordered Crispy chilli beef, when it came it was a soggy watery surpise meat dish. Tasteless and so soggy it made me gag. My partners kebab was cold and smelly. Phoned up to say something the feller said he was only a cleaner and the place was shut and he would get a manager to phone me tomorrow. Ended up pouring my self a bowl of cereal for my dinner. Didn't even give my dog the food we didn't eat as it was that disgusting. Never going back there stick to making fish brothers 👍🏻 Food came within 20 mins looked like it has been scraped out the bin.
