The staff at Brockwell Seam offer consistently good service. Food is always hot, and served with care. Drinks range is good, and I’ve only once had to query an order, which was quickly sorted. We will continue to return here for these reasons. Recommended!!

Just don't go! Shocking state inside now. Chairs and couches that are filthy and falling apart. Tables dirty (tried 3). Food was overcooked and service slow. Try getting a response from the manager and wasting time. Place needs refurbishment and Management replaced. Won't waste anymore time writing as i now know so many who just don't go anymore

I had not been before but we were enticed by a Groupon half price deal on "Sizzling Skillets" We booked a table but when we were pointed in the general direction we found it had not been cleared from the previous meal. We ordered our food and the starter duly arrived. It was ok. Charred cauliflower florets with a dipping sauce. The mains arrived I ordered a Sizzling steak with all the trimmings. It looked fine it was well cooked and and there was plenty. However when I was getting towards the end and eating food nearer the skillet I noticed there was little black specks on the food. On closer inspection I saw they were bits of burnt food from the skillet. On closer I discovered the whole thing was coated in charred, burnt on food! I understand the principles of this cooking method means there is some charring but surely the skillets should be cleaned regularly! You should not allow it to build up to such an extent surely. It is a health hazard as it is carcinogenic! I used my knife and scraped. There was burnt on layer after burnt on layer! Disgusting. We paid our bar bill and left, never to return!

Came in for lunch and was told there was an wait due to an audit in the kitchen and all I can say is it was well worth the wait as it was beautiful food

Breakfast was beautiful as always and the service was friendly and it was a lovely atmosphere best place in cramlington for a nice hot breakfast and the portion sizes are good value for money.

Had breakfast today & felt worth a review. Staff very friendly & helpful, turned up, chose a table, ordered a Big & standard breakfast, 2 x OJ & unlimited tea & coffee, came to £20 which is reasonable I feel. Breakfast was good, 'Big' breakfast was just that with double everything & filled up my other half while the standard breakfast (just right fr my appetite) was lovely too. All in all a nice chilled pub breakfast, decent price & nice food.

We came in last night for a tea with the kids to take advantage of the 40% of deal at out local. It was beautiful as always lovely service and delicious food.

Do not book tables and make plans. I booked a table 3 weeks ago and have been called to advise they are cancelling bookings and operating first come first served. Dreadful attitude from manager and foes not care as knows will fill anyway.

Total arrogance telling us to claim off our insurance and didn't care at all about the policy excess. Appalling attitude, even prevented the person responsible giving us his details Avoid this pub it's a joke

We normally visit this place 2 or 3 times a month, but I don’t think we will be back for a while. Got there at 7.20pm sat down sorted out what we wanted to eat .. went to the bar stood for ages before some came to take our order .. only to be told the kitchen was closed due to a back log of orders and they were trying to catch up, it was 7.30pm To be honest the past few meals we have had there have either been missing items (chicken platter) or sirloin steak being so thin it was like frying steak. Something fundamentally has gone wrong here and management need to sort it out (or a change of management) …. Don’t think we will be back for a while.

We checked the menu on a mobile phone, it looked really good including some interesting vegetarian options. However when we got there we found they don't allow dogs. Not even a small sectioned area. I know technically we haven't eaten, or experienced the place. However mor and more places have areas that people with dogs can use. We may return another time, but we went to another pub/food venue nearby in Seaton Delaval that accommodates dogs, so may not.

Food going downhill fast. I have previously written a rave review about the Brockwell Seam but on a recent visit things have chsnged and not for the better. Ordered food for myself and family and when it arrived some items were missing and we had to go to the bar to ask for the missing items. I had the mega mixed grill and asked for the steak to be well done- it was charred on the out side but still bloody red in the middle and the sausage was raw on one side.No staff came to ask if our meal was alright and although the rest of the meal was cooked , we will not be back to the Seam in a hurry.

We booked for a family meal and were delighted that a round table was ready for us as requested. The menu was varied and we were all able to have what we ordered. The food was good and hot. The staff were lovely and very helpful. I was able to use my meerkat voucher and this was easy to use. Great visit.

Went here first time for Breakfast ordered full english with no hash browns and a sizzling vegan breakfast. Came out wiwith sizzling full english and an english with hash browns and no mushrooms thay took them away brought mine back said they had removed hash browns but still no mushrooms eventually brought out some mushrooms to add, by this time it was cold and I had to eat it on my own as my daughters had not yet came out. When it eventually came she had a hair on her toast and none vegan hash browns which were supposed to be diced potatoes. Overall disgusting service, no concern for Hygiene or Allergies.😡

I just want to say how fantastic the service has been on two occasions. There's 3 lady's all together that were working and I can only remember the name Anna on the bar. All were great, so polite, and honestly couldn't do enough for you. I know how hard they've worked during the EOTHO promotion and I know the pressure they have been under as I work in hospitality.I've been waiting to take my Nanna out for a meal since lock down and there's been no hassle whatsoever, so thank you for everything you've done on these occasions. The food has been great too and obviously the prices have been amazing.

Arrived at Brockwell as a family of 9 (first time going out since the virus for all of us as it was an a special occasion. We were asked at the front of house if we were still a table of 9 and were brought to our 2 tables, we asked if it was okay to move these together with being a party of 9 as the woman said it was absolutely fine despite the virus and helped us push the two tables together (whilst apologising that they never got a chance to get 2 together themselves did it being so busy). Whilst looking at the menu, the manager, Dave, balled over shouting at our family for moving the two tables together Which we politely responded that was fine however the other member of staff had actually insisted this was fine and moved them for us. In response, the manager continued to shout and insisted that it was us who had moved the tables and did not believe that his own members of staff. To be accused of lying of something so ridiculous made my family feel annoyed but it was the way that the ‘manager’ dealt with this situation which made us walk out of the place. I think the manager Dave needs an update / refresher of what customer service is and hope that he feels guilty about this situation, such a shame for the company loosing out on our money as a party of 9 who were ordering three course meals to celebrate this special occasion.I will not be returning to this place which is a shame as I am from the local area and had looked very much forward to this meal. Shame on you Dave.

First time we've taken the kids out for food in a proper pub. Everything was clear signposted, woman who greeted us was lovely and we got on 10 minutes earlier than booked. Both men who served me at the bar for food and drinks were lovely! Especially the older gent who threw a couple of jokes in!We waited most of the day to eat and it was certainly worth it! Portions were huge but enough to not waste any! Kods loved there mini mixed grills and were in there element making there own Sundae deserts! Working full time but being skint still 24/7 means we haven't gone out befjre so with the 50% eat out deal it was a bargain but I would even treat us once in a while without! Thank you!

Sizzling pubs are not passing on the reduction in VAT to their customers but they are not obliged to.

Me and my friend normally come up for a meal, always satisfied with the wide plethora of food options but today we encountered a mixed signal decision. We were told to leave the pub as ‘we needed to be accompanied by an adult’ now, we come here almost every week and not once have we been told to leave. We love the brockwell, and come from Blyth for the food. They then said we couldn’t stay in the pub so expected us to wait outside whilst our parents came to pick us up. They’d rather us stand outside then do no harm but enjoy our weekly meal?! I think they need to make their decisions clear instead of our parents wasting petrol picking us up as we have never been told we ‘can’t eat in the pub’. Please make this clear, and be a bit more obliging! You’ve lost our business not once, but for however many more times we would have gone.

We’ve remained loyal customers for 20 plus years. However, in the past 12-18 months the decor has deteriorated & the overall condition of the pub has gone down hill. Including the terrible smell from the toilets for months.The food quality isn’t what it used to be, so we only now visiting for drinks these days which is a shame.We still remain loyal customers so here’s to the pub getting back to offering a great experience

Called in for Sunday dinner on the basis that the pub has rs-tarted Sunday Roast Dinners again. There were 6 of us and whilst the other meals were of a decent standard and the desserts good value I chose my much loved Sunday meal a Roast Beef Sunday roast. To say it was a disaster would be an understatement. The slices of beef came in the form of a curled up overdone sort of peppery steak fatty and chewy with little flavour. The vegetables were dry and tasteless and the Yorkshire pudding was bland flat and very poor. Had the other meals not been decent I could and should have sent this offering back and asked for something else.I could only call Brockwell Seams Beef Roast Dinner as a MICROWAVE shambles. Very poor and very disappointing. I would recommend anyone going there for a Roast Dinner to seriously check what they are getting before ordering. Staff friendly and pleasant but as Sunday Roasts go this was truly terrible value and awful.

We fancied a mid-week treat and decided on Brockwell Seam.... we had a discount voucherAfter some contemplation we both decided on the chicken platter.... what a choice, we could have actually shared the one dish between us, tremendous amount of tasty chicken treats in all shapes, sizes & flavours.......kebab, grilled breast, nuggets, southern fried breast, buttermilk chicken fillet, served with chips, onion rings, corn on cob & grilled tomato on a sizzling hot on a platter. The bench padding coming out and the same with a lot of the chairs. If it is not spruced up soon they will lose business as it is not a pleasurable experience sitting in some where like this. I took my daughter and her husband to Brockwell Seam for lunch yesterday and felt like I was being discriminated against, because I asked for the mushroom and tomatoe on my mixed grill to be replaced for an egg. (I had a colostomy operation in January resulting in having to have a bag fitted and can only eat certain foods) I asked the young gentleman who served us if this would be possible and would they replace the items I couldn't eat he was going to oblige, then up from behind the bar this Very rude women piped up that it would cost me 60p. At this point my daughter stepped in because of this very abrupt person's attitude towards my disability of not being able to eat certain things, I was shocked (cost for meal was £8.75) at this point I asked to see the manager, who came out with a very aggressive attitude, saying he would do it for me this time!!! But not again!! All he went on about was, profit and wasted, chef not getting bonus, him not getting bonus!! What has that to do with, attitude from his staff, rude lady!!! Because of my disablement of not being able to eat certain food. We will not be going back, because of cost of an egg, he has lost customers and their attitude problems. I wondered why it wasn't busy. We will be writing to the brewery to report this very upsetting experience!!!!!

My local was once a lovely place to go to and even now the staff are still helpful and friendly BUT the decor and upkeep of the place has gone downhill and fast. The general decoration looks old and tired and greatly in need of updating. Some of the so called comfy seating where fabric is involved is poor in the extreme. Arm chairs with heavily worn arm rests almost threadbare, couches with the head areas torn and literally flapping and do NOT look clean. Is the the BREWERY not prepared to put the money up for renovation or what? Very disappointing as it was such a lovely place.

Visited for weekday lunch, as always, found the meals, delicious, good value and very courteous staff. Would definitely recommend.

The food is traditional pub food good quality and reasonably priced. Two for one deals through the week make it an ideal mid week place for tea. We tries the fish, steak and fajitas were all good.

Called in for breakfast last week and wasn't that impressed to be honest. It's pretty standard in terms of the decoration, corporate and not welcoming. A tall dark haired woman kept eye balling me every time she went past which was uncomfortable. Not sure why but I got the distinct feeling after 10 minutes that this place is definitely a 'local pub for local people' and I couldn't wait to leave once I finished my breakfast. I ordered a small and that's exactly what I got, nothing more and it was just average in taste. To sum up I won't be returning as there is nothing I would go back for instead I'll stick to Willow farm or the Grey Horse as these are both far better and the staff are more friendly too...

We love going here for breakfast. An excellent small breakfast costs just £3.29 and consists of bacon, fried egg, sausage, hash brown, beans, tomato and a slice of toast. All served piping hot and usually with a smile! What more could you ask for? I have also had lunch here and am always well satisfied.

Goid atmosphere and welcoming to families. Can get busy at peak times. Only bedn for drinks but fiod seems reasonably priced.

Arrived teatime on a Saturday afternoon. Pub busy but not crowded. Chose from the expansive menu, a selection of steak and chicken griddle dishes and also a lasagne from the kids menu. All served promptly by the friendly, helpful staff. All dishes were piping hot and delicious. Good, wholesome, tasty food. Well presented and generous helpings. This all washed down with good ale, red wine in quantity. The adults couldn't, handle a dessert, but the junior opted for chocolate cake with custard. This was huge. A monster of a pud, not only great in size, but great in taste. In summary, a great dining experience and very reasonable in price. This establishment is a credit to the management and staff. A great family atmosphere, a friendly welcome, all the ingredients for customer satisfaction. We shall return. Highly recommended and well worth a try.

On the way home from work me and a couple of my friends decided to have a pint in this pub; Located in a small, outdoor shopping centre. Not too busy during the week, very nice, friendly staff. Steadily started to get busier as it happened to be a quiz night. But it wasn't a problem for us, it was nice to see more people in. Reasonable prices for a beer and plenty seats, even when it got busy.

Love my local pub but it seems to be going downhill. Decore is well outdated and in parts looks terrible. Was in last Friday evening when fairly busy BUT only 2 bar staff on and run off their feet. No sign of a manager and people waiting for ages for service really not on. It is in a good area with good decent customers and decent fair priced drinks BUT what has happened to the levels of service and the general decoration of the place? Is the brewery hard up or what?

The Brockwell Seam named after a famous mining seam is situated in a shopping centre. It has good parking spaces nearby. I found the staff quite friendly and the young lad there told me after I enquired, that they had an allergy chart available for guidance for glutton free etc. I thought to try a meal from the on offer menu. I was disappointed with the portion I received. I blame myself for that as you only get what you pay for. Everything else I was quite happy with

Meal for 4. Service was very good, was told food would be 40mins (i dont mind waiting as long i am told about it) but arrived in about 30min. Everyone happy, big portions for what you pay. My daughters wanted sweets so opted for smaller size which were good value for what you got. My mixed grill was very good, the 4 oz steak was excellent!

Called in for Sunday lunch with some of the family. The pub was quite quiet for lunchtime (Around 1-30ish) and we began to order. The service and friendliness of staff was excellent as usual. However I was shocked to find out that on a Sunday no sunday roasts were on the new menu. I love all food but always like my Sunday Roast. It seems other customers have been disappointed with this. I ordered a steak pie as the nearest alternative but found it very dry and not particularly tasty though gravy was served with it. The other meals ordered were fine and the deserts excellent and plentiful as usual. Young lady who served us was terrific and so helpful and friendly. It just seems to me to be a big mistake not to serve traditional roast dinners especially on a Sunday and I think many customers will go elsewhere for Sunday Dinner if this is not rectified.

My husband and I have eaten here at lunchtime quite a few times recently. I have the Messy Mexican Chicken dish and my husband always has the Hunters Chicken. Both dishes are always consistently really good. They come on hot, sizzling platters and retain their heat long enough for me to finish. The menu is extensive and I would not hesitate to recommend it.

Popped in today for lunch as we have many times before food was lovely and worth the money. What let’s this place down is one of the barmaids. Her attitude stinks. I seen her rolling her eyes when she asked a customer if they needed anything else and they said cutlery (they were sitting outside) this then happened again with another customer and her reply ‘they are inside you need to get them’ also witnessed her saying ‘where do you want this’ when she was serving food to customers. To redeem this place however a lovely young smartly dressed man served us and he could see we were feeding the baby he brought us cutlery condiments with a smile and nothing was too much to ask. He even handed me the spoon & said rather than putting it on the table (obviously dirty from being outside)

My partner was given a dine out card for his birthday. We used this in the pub for our tea. I had the burger with pulled pork on top and he had the whole hog meal. The pub is always very clean and staff are very friendly. We were told it would be a 30 minute wait for tea but it came out fresh and piping hot after only 10. Never ever had a bad meal here yet. I always recommend the pub to others and obviously come back.

Visited this nice pub for lunch with my wife. Nice pint of well kept beer. Good food and pleasant staff. I noticed that there were many really well priced meals on the menu meaning that you don't have to wait until a special occasion to visit. Well worth a try.

I went to the Brockwell on Sunday night, I really enjoyed my night with amazing music from the band they had on and even won a bottle of vodka from a raffle they ran, raising money for Maggies. Great to see they were helping a local charity! Staff are friendly and always have a beer waiting on the bar for me! Christine was especially helpful throughout the night!!
