Food was pre packed ham stuck two fried eggs on it and the ham was discoloured in other words on date never come for food again

Great wetherspoons - the beers are poured well, staff are great and the food is quick and nice. Friendly place and I really enjoy going there 😁😁

Prices good, but the meal I had was pretty average with the meat a bit tough.

John Mills is a credit to Wetherspoon he goes above and beyond. Such a lovely member of staff and he doesn’t stop working. Sometimes there are plates piled up on the tables and staff walk past, even if a staff member brings out a meal they don’t seem to pick plates up on their way back. An hour once dirty dishes were on a table and it wasn’t busy. John Mills starts his shift and instantly he’s cleaning tables, picking glasses up, he doesn’t stop cleaning. He deserves credit. Its always nice to see a lovely staff member.

Got to be the wetherspoons in the south West for atmosphere and friendliness, it's still like a locals pub.

We were there as away fans on a football day. We were made to feel very welcome. We ordered on the app and our food arrived fairly quickly.

It's not a bad pub, decent service, and a good selection of drinks. Like most Wetherspoons, it sadly lacks it atmosphere.

Love a good wetherspoons, and this is a prime example. Large breakfast and hot chocolate refills hit the spot.

The staff were friendly, the food prices reasonable, the refillable hot beverages a great idea. Sadly, my husband and I both said our breakfasts were lukewarm. This was disappointing. Four of us ate at 9.30am and our table was grubby! Place looks tired and could do with a good clean. That said, I can see it's popularity as affordable.

Travelled down to watch Sunderland play (we lost nothing unusual there) great friendly bar but wierldly not allowed to wear a hat inside , no problem cos we were outside in beer garden anyway.. Very cheap ales , ruddles £1.77 a pint , bargain or what..

We'd always swerved this place, because after climbing that mountain from the railway station to here, then finding that you might have to queue for a week to get in, has always been off-putting. In the past we've always followed police advice, and walked to the next pub, where the local faction of the Green Army have always told us that they wouldn't be seen dead, in here!.. Wonder where they go now, because that one's closed, and this place is cheap and cheerful, and alright in my book.

A cosy pub for a spoons. Fantastic selection of beers ,wines,and spirits with some really good deals. We ordered on the app and our drinks were delivered promptly with the server asking would I like an ice bucket for the wine. Although we didn't eat this time we have on previous occasions and the food has always been good .

Thought I would try this place again for a breakfast. My first at a Spoons for over a year. Another disappointing luke warm breakfast. Place could do with a clean too. When was the last time the lampshades were cleaned?

Amazingly, it is the first time I have been in this pub before an Argyle match....ever!! The security staff were diligent, only allowing a certain number into the pub. We had to wait 15 minutes or so. It's a "Spoons ". It does what it says on the tin. Can't fault it. My grandson had to have a meal even though he had just had an Ivor Dewdneys pasty whilst walking from town!! I ordered food and the drinks on The App and it all works smoothly. And....we won 3 - 0. Yeah !!!

A nice pub with a good selection of different beers. The food is standard Weatherspoons fare, not too expensive and tasty. The food service is prompt. Being near Plymouth Argyle football ground it does get very busy on match days, but it still retains a good atmosphere. On match days it can be difficult to get a table to eat your food from. Overall an enjoyable pub to visit.

I ordered fish, chips and peas. The fish came out looking like a sardine. I had to send it back, not worthwhile arguing about it. They sent out another version of the fish, which was very nice. Why didn't this happen in the beginning, I asked myself ?

Can’t really fault it. Ordered dinner and drinks for 7 for less than £70 and it arrived hot and together very quickly.

Usual weatherspoon style pub offering gluten free beer and many other drink choices small garden area for the sun 🌞 and the usual food choices and atmosphere the food all round okay but due to being celiac the option on the menu are a little limited and the jacket potatoe instead of chips is super dry and small other than this enjoyable visit just wish the did chips not covered in wheat so everyone could enjoy the full experience 😀

I saw that they had a plaque celebrating how fresh and delightful their Abbot Ale is so that's what I ordered. A good Abbot Ale is rich, fruity and moreish. As I brought the pint to my lips, a little tingle of excitement rushed through my mind. I then, unfortunately, tasted it. It wasn't very good.

Everything that a Weatherspoon should be. Thank god for tablet service! Big thanks to the staff that served all the Musers on the 27.05.23. We had a WOTPing time!

Good location when going to home park to watch the footy or concert.

I had a chicken sweet chilli wrap which was good with a side salad, hubby had gammon steak, chips, mushroom, tomato and egg, around 7 peas under the egg were found. The gammon was really fatty and salty, chips were limp as if microwaved. A few peas found hid under fried egg, 1 mushroom !. Will not be returning.

Do not go while there's anything happening at Homepark, you won't be able to get a drink. Not their fault but still. I'm sure it's lovely when it's quiet

Wow! What a contrast to the other Wetherspoon in the area! Building is much smaller but the service is fantastic!!! What great staff! Bar lady was really nice and even offered to explain how the coffee machine worked. The waitress was cheerful and cracked a joke. A member of staff even came out to chase off a seagull in the garden area... All made for a lovely experience. Food was bang on. Other people's plates were really presentable too. Site is really clean, so clean that when a customer dropped an item from their pocket the staff lady spotted it and picked it up. I'd give 6 stars on this one if I could.

Nice atmosphere when there's no screaming kids. Clean. Friendly staff. Pepsi always seems flat like the gas mix is not right.

Great place to chill with your friend or family with well-trained staff who are happy to tolerate your bs to a certain point. Very quick table service with drinks usually takes from 5-12 minutes if busy and food about 8-15 again if busy.

Standard spoons. Dirt cheap and lots of local Janners! Good to experience a home end match day in.

"Great pub, nice staff and friendly, lively but peaceable atmosphere. Superb ales and usual well priced Wetherspoons menu" is what I said many years ago. Sadly the place has since slipped down the pole of Wetherspoons decline and is now a bog standard 'spoons, full of ill behaved, unmonitored kids screaming around the place whilst their parents idle the time away at the too closely packed together tables. Food is poor, basic quality and mass prepared, standard 'spoons offerings. The beer is still good though and well priced. We avoid going in these days, despite it being our 'local'.

Disappointed, we ordered the breakfast muffin, I had to order this as they didn't have brown toast, the egg was hard as rock and the whole thing was tasteless

Whenever I got to see my dad in Plymouth we always come to eat here. At the minute I'm quite impressed with spoonies menu. I am the fussiest vegetarian known to man yet this veggie menu is awesome. I love their Veggie Katsu Curry at the min, have it nearly every time I pop to a spoonies. For pub grub in general spoonies is OK, we all know it's mainly just microwaveable stuff, but we're British and that's OK for us. The service here was good, again the standard spoonies service. You order at the bar, they bring it to you. The beer garden here is awesome. Only downfall is that they don't really gave any parking. I normally walk off my meal getting too and from the car, which is a blessing in disguise I guess.

Food was awful, portion sizes of chips for adult is horrendous, when mentioned about the lack of chips, we had a sarky comment from the waitress..the lemon and herb chicken was cremated so only a small bit of chicken was edible, the chicken wrap ( the chicken is processed chicken and not chicken breast) was slimy and not nice to eat..the steak was nice but went for the gourmet steak which came with sauce and onion rings etc. Only 3 mini onion rings and peppercorn sauce was not mixed well at all. Won't eat food here again. Food prices go up, value and quantity goes down.

Was a busy Saturday evening so thought service would be slow but plenty of friendly staff got served really quickly. Friendly atmosphere would definitely go again.
