Our waitress Judith was polite, professional, friendly and efficient. She took our order promptly. Couldn't fault her in any way. Superb !!!!

Me and my friend ate at the britannia. I had fish ,chips, and curry sauce, she had burger and chips. It was not busy at the tine. When our food arrived. We found the fish was not very hot but ok. Tge chips were hard and jus warm . Also ther were 13 chips on my plate abd the same for my friends. The curry sauce was like water. It was disgusting for what we paid. 2 women brought out our meals to me looking sheepish when they gave ys our food. I'm not happy. Everyone is aware that there us no real chef's cooking, as the food is delivered in , most of it frozen. So surely tge portions should surely be more abundant and properly cooked or not overcooked . Its not rocket science. We pay enough to indulge when eating out.

As always in a Wetherspoons our food was tasty and good value for money.

Good selection of ales and quite often busy with glasses and plates piling up on unclean tables. Although the price of the food has increased (probably due to transport costs) the quality remains the same. It's still my favourite Wetherspoon pub.

My wife and I come here about 3 times a week and have never had a bad experience the food is always good and always correct the beer is always ice cold and never flat this pub is better than any of the sizzling pubs greene king or Toby's in the area, this is my first choice when any of my family or friends have a get together or night out 10/10 cannot fault this place.

This is a traditional Wetherspoons pub! The atmosphere is great, the food is your normal Wetherspoons grub (a little cold but very tasty) and cheap food and drinks.

Served a pint by one member of staff, kicked out by another. If you’re going to enforce unposted policy, have all your staff on the same page

Me and my friends and there mum went there for a fun day and there were no vegetarian foods they could eat so there mum asked can we altlest get two lemonade's for free because they couldn't really get anything and she was being rude to us so annoying I hate weather spoons because of today

A good pub, not too spacious, but separate areas - bar area, lower table seating and outdoor area. Great service.

The food was okay. Service was pretty poor, and although I accept it was busy, this always seems to be the issue here. There are never enough staff to deal with the demand.

Did not eat as it took ages to be served a drink

We had to queue to get in before an event at Home Park Stadium. After waiting half an hour with the queue not moving we gave up and didn't go in.

What a change over time, we went for lunch and although the food was tasty and hot, it was served quickly and the staff friendly. BUT the portions have drastically shrunk, wife had a burger with fries, we thought it was a child's meal to start with, it must have taken them some time to source a roll and burger that small. Normally you would get a bit of salad or coleslaw, but not anymore, this was served on a large plate, but a tea plate would have been more appropriate. I had a steak with fries it was of reasonable size but only a dozen fries, where you would normally expect peas there was nothing. Once again this could have been served on a lot smaller plate. On checking if you want anything that would have come with your meal you have to pay extra. So if you eat here you need to add a couple of £ to the stated meal to get a proper one. As we do not eat out often it will be interesting to see if they all do this now. The desert was poor we had the millionaires shortbread, all that was is two scoops of vanilla ice cream a miniscule drizzle of sauce and a quarter of shortbread biscuit crumbled into it. Certainly will not do that again.

Went here on match day morning, packed, ordered food on the app, waited an hour it didn't arrive so left as had to work, not impressed

Ordered the large shwarma wrap (supposed to be 12 inches). A 3 inch wrap arrived. Two mouthfuls later. Still hungry. Spoke to member if staff. Who was very unhelpful. The food here used to be nice. I would not recommend or eat here again.

Exactly what you would expect from a Wetherspoons pub. Very reasonably priced food and drinks and plenty of seating.

Food was pre packed ham stuck two fried eggs on it and the ham was discoloured in other words on date never come for food again

John Mills is a credit to Wetherspoon he goes above and beyond. Such a lovely member of staff and he doesn’t stop working. Sometimes there are plates piled up on the tables and staff walk past, even if a staff member brings out a meal they don’t seem to pick plates up on their way back. An hour once dirty dishes were on a table and it wasn’t busy. John Mills starts his shift and instantly he’s cleaning tables, picking glasses up, he doesn’t stop cleaning. He deserves credit. Its always nice to see a lovely staff member.

Got to be the wetherspoons in the south West for atmosphere and friendliness, it's still like a locals pub.

We were there as away fans on a football day. We were made to feel very welcome. We ordered on the app and our food arrived fairly quickly.

It's not a bad pub, decent service, and a good selection of drinks. Like most Wetherspoons, it sadly lacks it atmosphere.

Love a good wetherspoons, and this is a prime example. Large breakfast and hot chocolate refills hit the spot.

The staff were friendly, the food prices reasonable, the refillable hot beverages a great idea. Sadly, my husband and I both said our breakfasts were lukewarm. This was disappointing. Four of us ate at 9.30am and our table was grubby! Place looks tired and could do with a good clean. That said, I can see it's popularity as affordable.

Travelled down to watch Sunderland play (we lost nothing unusual there) great friendly bar but wierldly not allowed to wear a hat inside , no problem cos we were outside in beer garden anyway.. Very cheap ales , ruddles £1.77 a pint , bargain or what..

We'd always swerved this place, because after climbing that mountain from the railway station to here, then finding that you might have to queue for a week to get in, has always been off-putting. In the past we've always followed police advice, and walked to the next pub, where the local faction of the Green Army have always told us that they wouldn't be seen dead, in here!.. Wonder where they go now, because that one's closed, and this place is cheap and cheerful, and alright in my book.

A cosy pub for a spoons. Fantastic selection of beers ,wines,and spirits with some really good deals. We ordered on the app and our drinks were delivered promptly with the server asking would I like an ice bucket for the wine. Although we didn't eat this time we have on previous occasions and the food has always been good .

Thought I would try this place again for a breakfast. My first at a Spoons for over a year. Another disappointing luke warm breakfast. Place could do with a clean too. When was the last time the lampshades were cleaned?

Should not judge away supporters not everyone is a trouble causer, even descent people go to football matches.

Amazingly, it is the first time I have been in this pub before an Argyle match....ever!! The security staff were diligent, only allowing a certain number into the pub. We had to wait 15 minutes or so. It's a "Spoons ". It does what it says on the tin. Can't fault it. My grandson had to have a meal even though he had just had an Ivor Dewdneys pasty whilst walking from town!! I ordered food and the drinks on The App and it all works smoothly. And....we won 3 - 0. Yeah !!!

A nice pub with a good selection of different beers. The food is standard Weatherspoons fare, not too expensive and tasty. The food service is prompt. Being near Plymouth Argyle football ground it does get very busy on match days, but it still retains a good atmosphere. On match days it can be difficult to get a table to eat your food from. Overall an enjoyable pub to visit.

I ordered fish, chips and peas. The fish came out looking like a sardine. I had to send it back, not worthwhile arguing about it. They sent out another version of the fish, which was very nice. Why didn't this happen in the beginning, I asked myself ?

Can’t really fault it. Ordered dinner and drinks for 7 for less than £70 and it arrived hot and together very quickly.
