One of the best places for breakfast in town. I ordered the Bristolian breakfast and it was fantastic. The place is nice and cozy, and the staff are very accommodating. Hopefully, I will be able to come back again someday 😁

I don't like to leave bad reviews so keeping the stars higher, but was pretty disappointed. Got muesli with fruit and berries, and it was the most basic muesli with frozen berries that had half defrosted. If you say fruit and berries on the menu, people will expect it's fresh at least. And secondly had to move outside as the music Wass obnoxiously loud and we couldn't even talk to each other...sadly this seems to be the norm everywhere now! Nice ambience and staff though, easy fixes if they want to change these things!

Came in to get a takeaway coffee, and the woman serving was really weirdly rude. I work in a cafe I know it can get frustrating especially during busy periods, but honestly the cafe looked pretty quiet to me. To top it off she half filled my (cold) coffee. This establishment is simply a genuine jewel for foodies in Bristol's array of dining options.. It's slightly away from the city centre itself,in the stokescroft area, but however you decide to visit and dine here, especially for breakfast, you will 99% not dissapointed.. Why 99%? Good question.. Well firstly you can't book a table here, and when you arrive at the Bristolian , the que waiting to enter says all you need to know as to why this business is a popular place to meet/ greet and dine that it hasn't the need for bookings.. So be prepared for probably 10mins or so to be able to go in..( that's the 1% dissapointment if you see what I mean.) Nothing terrible too wait is it.. Staff do come out to check on numbers in each group?, and they even brought out a menu leaflet so you can have a look at what culinary delights they offer you here, prior to you going in.. Not suggesting they don't do bookings because of big headedness on the owners part, no, they're just very very busy with customers to deal with Internet or phone enquiries aswell... Inside you will find staff that are professional, polite and fun people.. Seating arrangements are varied, the decor is colourful and the foods are cooked too order.. Now, considering the place was busy, we still recieved our orders in around 20mins from time of ordering... And the food was delicious, and hot too the table.. The Bristolian is a place we will definitely return to for Breakfast when we next visit Bristol... As I say..a Jewel" for foodies...

Such a disappointment. Took almost half an hour to get served and only approached us when we waved the waitress over. The waitress was totally abrupt and passive aggressive from the get go, for no reasons whatsoever. Took our order on an iPad, didn’t ask about allergies or dietary requirements and also didn’t inform us of the service charge they add on top (sneaky!) before stating we need to pay before our food as even arrived - bit of a strange protocol. We didn’t think the service charged was warranted based on the above. Good coffee but food not so good. Eggs were hard and the aubergines frittata were way too greasy. To top it off used the bathroom after one of the male employees who left piss all over the toilet seat.

A few things were quite unprofessional. With almost 6 tables available inside, a guy made us waiting outside the door( 2 ladies with a 4-month baby in a pram), and after us, he made everyone else enter without queuing outside ( I mean, what???) The waitresses were both really nice, but they made us pay for a service charge without asking, very unprofessional and not legal. The oil from the fryer needs to be changed, or they just need to improve the method of frying.

Spent a few hours here one quiet weekday working on my laptop. The staff are extremely friendly, welcoming and attentive. It's a cozy atmosphere with cute plants and a calming vibe. The coffee was prettyyyyy good, as an Australian and barista myself, I guess my coffee standards are pretty high so while not the best in Bristol, it's certainly better than other places, they could definitely benefit by sending some of their baristas to do a little training to just pump the quality of their espresso and latte art up just a notch, the capabilities are there but just need a little fine tuning. I had the vegan quesadilla, it was filling but light, full of delicious flavours, and kept me satisfied for hours afterwards. Decent prices and the perfect place to waste or work away a few hours on a quiet day.

Nestled in the heart of the city, "The Brisolian" is a delightful escape. This charming coffee shop offers a unique blend of artistic ambiance, bright decor, and a cozy atmosphere that sets it apart from the typical caffeine pit stops. From the moment you step through the door, you're greeted by an explosion of color and creativity. The walls adorned with artwork making it more than just a coffee shop. Do I like coffee? Yes. Would I endless search for best places for a coffee? Not really. How did we end up there? A vegan friend wanted to hang out at a nice place with vegan options and coffee, thats how. And we are glad we chose Bristolian :) Fair warning, its a small cozy place, you might have to wait up a bit when you walk in.

The staff were fairly rude and unhelpful. We waited outside for a table for over 40 minutes. This wait was due to poorly managed table allocations - the couple waiting in front of us were seated on the first table that became available, which was a table of 6. Our party was a table of 4 meaning when the next table for 2 came up (5 minutes later) we had to continue waiting. Make this make sense!

We waited nearly an hour for it to arrive & it wasn’t a particularly busy time, it was all lukewarm apart from the beans which were volcanic! We were charged over £36 for 2 breakfasts & 2 coffees which I think is extortionate! Definitely will not be returning.

We’ve been coming to Bristolian a few times. Unfortunately, it seems like it’s going downhill. Other tables were served before us last time, today we have been offered a table outside (covered area). My son’s lips were blue with cold and my feet were tingly while waiting for the food. I pleaded with one of the waitresses to change our outside table with the one inside that was available. She’s refused it point blank saying the policy is that once seated, you cannot move. So we’ll have to power through our lunch while we have frozen hands and feet. Won’t be coming back and I don’t recommend it. A bit of flexibility would’ve gone down a long way.

The food is pretty good, portion size is not the most generous but everything was presented well and tasted good. You have to pay when ordering which is when problems arise. The girl takes your order on a tablet and tells you a total. No itemized bill is offered so you pay the total requested. After paying no receipt is also issued so you are left wondering what you have paid for. At no point do they tell you a service charge is being added! This is not clearly displayed on the door or in the menu. Which makes this practice illegal. After paying you have to wait for your food to arrive. The service from this point is pretty much non existent! I find the practice of adding a service charge to bills in the UK absolutely disgusting and it should be at the customers discretion if a tip is left. This restaurant is blatantly ripping people off! Be aware of what you are changed and paying for. Not the cheapest breakfast in town. At around £12 for a breakfast you would think that price would include someone bringing it to the table! I will not be returning which is a real shame as in many ways this place has got so many things right but extorting extra money from customers is unforgivable.

We came on a Saturday morning for breakfast and arrived at just the right time (just after 10) as we got the last table and it didn’t take long until a queue formed as it was so busy. This restaurant has a very relaxed vibe. The staff ask that you wave at them when you need them rather than regularly checking on the tables. The food was expensive but it was a giant portion. I had a sausage ciabatta and it was about 6 inches long and had 3 sausages! It tasted good but was all a little soggy, maybe the ciabatta could have been more toasted. It was so soft it completely fell apart and I had to eat it with a knife and fork. You pay when you order which I liked as it meant we could just get up and go when we had finished. The toilets were kept clean. Very good place and I will return.

Food was good, good selection of options for people with allergies and dietary requirements, service was ok, it was busy so in all fairness the waitresses have been doing their best. BUT, we were told we are to pay at the point of order- which is fine, what we WERE NOT told is that an automatic service charge will be applied to the bill, which BTW I’ve never got to see! Only in retrospect I realised a service charge was applied, and by my calculations it was 15%! We live in a country where the minimum wage is a living wage, and when I pay circa £10 for a ‘small bute to eat’ I would have thought that the ‘service’ is included in it. It should be down to my personal discretion to tip a member of staff, and tipping before I even got my food is something I disagree with. The way this is done in my opinion is dis moral and for that reason I will be reluctant to go back, even though I enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

Great for breakfasts and brunches; child friendly, some canned beers; free internet.

味道相當不錯,我覺得很好吃。唯一的缺點是大蒜蘑菇實在太鹹了,我覺得廚師在烹飪的時候似乎把一整罐鹽都放了進去。除此之外,其他的菜餚都很好吃。

The place is an absolute madness, from decor to the menu! Amazing all the way, worth queuing up, because for sure you will need to. Beautiful breakfast, salad options, some mexican snacks dishes. Just lovely and vibrant. Definite must see in Bristol!!!! No designated parking space, however u can easily park on the road, although it's busy and narrow, there are spaces.
