I had the Bristolian breakfast and it did not disappoint. Everything was cooked perfectly and I loved the crispy potatoes. This is a really popular place but it's quite small inside. They have managed to squeeze in as much seating as possible but it is still quite likely that, at the weekend at least, you'll find yourself queuing out the door. When you get inside, you'll find the service friendly and efficient and a well-crafted menu. Different dietary requirements, including vegans, are catered for.

A lovely spot for breakfast or brunch. The food is very good and the staff are super friendly. The place has a cozy and welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay longer. However, it’s a first-come, first-serve restaurant, so it’s often busy. You might need to wait a bit for a table, but it’s worth it for the great food and atmosphere.

This venue has stiff competition from several other brunch options within walking distance but successfully manages to differentiate itself from the rest with its own twist on typical menu items. The drinks we had were well made, arrived pretty quickly after ordering, and were reasonably priced. The same could not be said for our food. In a nearly empty venue, our waitress didn't notice that she was serving food to people who arrived thirty minutes after us, first. The response after we queried was swift, and the food followed quickly. The bill overall was quite reasonable, and I imagine we caught them on a quiet day. But based on the other reviews I've read, it must have also been an off one.

The veggie breakfast I had was nice. There was a massive queue in the rain outside before we could be seated as they did not take reservations. The table was wobbly and so my coffee was spilled all over it as we began eating. There was generally too much going on around me to feel relaxed whilst eating. The cafe is too small for the demand. You pay when giving your order which is fine. Whilst you eat you can watch all the people outside standing in the rain wanting your table. The breakfast wasn’t so amazing we would go back, not on a weekend anyway.

We ate the English breakfast and we really liked it, the best of our trip and the price was also honest and in line with the city norm, however there was a misunderstanding when taking orders and I was brought a different drink, so I had to pay the full price of the drink I really wanted with the promise that this money would be virtually refunded however so I paid the commission twice. So be careful if not paid in the local currency

It is definitely one good place to go in Bristol. I got the Bristolian fusion. Tasteful, well made and fast to arrive. The tea options are amazing, I got one called heart something with orange juice, hibiscus and other mixtures. My friend got a cappuccino very beautifully made and the Bristolian traditional. I have been there a few times, and this place never disappoints me. The staff is nice, polite and stylish! The atmosphere is cosy! I will return soon, for sure.

Chose to come here for breakfast as we’d popped in a few years ago and remembered it was good. It certainly didn’t disappoint and it’s so nice to support an independent place rather than a faceless chain. It’s a small and popular place - no bookings are taken so you just have to turn up. We arrived around 09:30 and got a table easily but people were queuing outside a short while later. The atmosphere is cheerful, funky, welcoming etc and the food was great. I had waffle with bacon and syrup and o/h had the Bristolian full English. A really lovely start to the day. They open at 08:00 every day which is great, especially on a Sunday when most of the city is still asleep. Well worth the walk/drive out of the very centre. Recommended wholeheartedly.

The food was fine but not amazing. The menu and food quality just made this an average cafe for me. I do appreciate they have vegan options though. The service also let this cafe down. There was a long queue outside (with multiple signs saying not to sit on tables and please wait to be seated) yet there were quite a few empty tables. I don’t mind waiting I just would like staff to communicate that they will attend to us.

However didn’t like the fact that service charge was added and I wasn’t informed of it, only after I left I realised the cost wasn’t adding up. Service charge to bring food and drinks to the table?! Come on, no one even came to ask if food was okay, or if we needed anything else, as staff were too busy gossiping or seeing their mates.

We had a very good friend visiting us from Australia, who was leaving today so we wanted to enjoy a meal together before we took her to the airport. First place we thought of for great food was The Bristolian. We got there around 8.30am and were seated straight away. We chose the outside covered area this morning. A few months ago a fire damaged the cafe but since reopening a few weeks later it never damaged the soul of this place. The atmosphere is brilliant and that matches the food. I complicate an eggs Benedict order as I have to have my eggs poached until there is absolutely no life left in the eggs at all. This request thou I think is simple does perplex many and very rarely do they come out killed. But today they got it exactly right. British bacon is exceptional. Aussie bacon hasn't got a thing on the uk version. I have to give it too the Brits as it is about the only thing they seem to be doing better then the convict country of my home. Aussie sure know how to make a coffee that's for sure. Thanks Bristolian for making our time with our dear friend so memorable.

This really is a Jewel in the variety of foodie places in Bristol.. It is located in the Stokescroft area of the city, but it is certainly worth your time to find and dine here.. Very hip, very colourful decor inside, and the staff are genuinely lively and fun to engage with.. Be prepared for a short wait, especially on weekends, because this establishment is very popular with locals and visitors alike... Seating is varied in terms of chairs and stools.. The cusine offered here is cooked to order, our two dishes took 20mins from ordering to be placed on our table.. Which was good timing in our opinion considering how full the establishment was at time we dined here... And it tasted delicious, too.. We will definitely be returning.. 1 extra point.. At the bottom of the menu is a paragraph in regards to the service charge. It's 8% of your bill.. And all that service charges cost, goes to the staff directly.. Which we were very happy to pay after the service the staff provided us.. ( If you do NOT wish to pay the service charge, you can ask for it to be taken off your bill. ) Staff were just so kind, caring, and friendly...

This establishment is simply a genuine jewel for foodies in Bristol's array of dining options.. It's slightly away from the city centre itself,in the stokescroft area, but however you decide to visit and dine here, especially for breakfast, you will 99% not dissapointed.. Why 99%? Good question.. Well firstly you can't book a table here, and when you arrive at the Bristolian , the que waiting to enter says all you need to know as to why this business is a popular place to meet/ greet and dine that it hasn't the need for bookings.. So be prepared for probably 10mins or so to be able to go in..( that's the 1% dissapointment if you see what I mean.) Nothing terrible too wait is it.. Staff do come out to check on numbers in each group?, and they even brought out a menu leaflet so you can have a look at what culinary delights they offer you here, prior to you going in.. Not suggesting they don't do bookings because of big headedness on the owners part, no, they're just very very busy with customers to deal with Internet or phone enquiries aswell... Inside you will find staff that are professional, polite and fun people.. Seating arrangements are varied, the decor is colourful and the foods are cooked too order.. Now, considering the place was busy, we still recieved our orders in around 20mins from time of ordering... And the food was delicious, and hot too the table.. The Bristolian is a place we will definitely return to for Breakfast when we next visit Bristol... As I say..a Jewel" for foodies...

Such a disappointment. Took almost half an hour to get served and only approached us when we waved the waitress over. The waitress was totally abrupt and passive aggressive from the get go, for no reasons whatsoever. Took our order on an iPad, didn’t ask about allergies or dietary requirements and also didn’t inform us of the service charge they add on top (sneaky!) before stating we need to pay before our food as even arrived - bit of a strange protocol. We didn’t think the service charged was warranted based on the above. Good coffee but food not so good. Eggs were hard and the aubergines frittata were way too greasy. To top it off used the bathroom after one of the male employees who left piss all over the toilet seat.

A few things were quite unprofessional. With almost 6 tables available inside, a guy made us waiting outside the door( 2 ladies with a 4-month baby in a pram), and after us, he made everyone else enter without queuing outside ( I mean, what???) The waitresses were both really nice, but they made us pay for a service charge without asking, very unprofessional and not legal. The coffee was prettyyyyy good, as an Australian and barista myself, I guess my coffee standards are pretty high so while not the best in Bristol, it's certainly better than other places, they could definitely benefit by sending some of their baristas to do a little training to just pump the quality of their espresso and latte art up just a notch, the capabilities are there but just need a little fine tuning. I had the vegan quesadilla, it was filling but light, full of delicious flavours, and kept me satisfied for hours afterwards. Decent prices and the perfect place to waste or work away a few hours on a quiet day.

Nestled in the heart of the city, "The Brisolian" is a delightful escape. This charming coffee shop offers a unique blend of artistic ambiance, bright decor, and a cozy atmosphere that sets it apart from the typical caffeine pit stops. From the moment you step through the door, you're greeted by an explosion of color and creativity. The walls adorned with artwork making it more than just a coffee shop. Do I like coffee? Yes. Would I endless search for best places for a coffee? Not really. How did we end up there? A vegan friend wanted to hang out at a nice place with vegan options and coffee, thats how. And we are glad we chose Bristolian :) Fair warning, its a small cozy place, you might have to wait up a bit when you walk in.

The food was incredible, authentic Thai and absolutely delicious. The soup starters were particularly good and the whole menu impressive, we shared a number of different Currys which were all fragrant and excellent. Highly recommend this place.

Tried to get a drink in this bar at 10.40 last night (Friday) and was told sorry we have called last orders and can't serve you, there were 7 of us. I was always under the impression that last orders was one last drink before time at 11, but obviously not in this pub, so we ended up in Somerset House.

This was a bit of a unusual Sunday roast/fish lunch mash up! I like the fish option but still got all the Sunday roast trimmings!!! An absolute smasher of a Sunday lunch. Btw, THE best roast potatoes in Bristol at the moment!!!
