Lovely Spanish place, serving mostly small plates. They really understand the flavour of food, especially seafood (highly recommended). Great service as well.

The food. Absolutely delicious. The staff are insanely kind and welcoming (and very beautiful too) The atmosphere is very aesthetic and romantic. If you have a date I would recommend bringing them here the food the place as well as the prices are amazing.

Restaurant staff made me feel bad for booking via the app 'first table'. If the restaurant don't want tables to get 50% off food, don't put the restaurant on the app. Restaurant was also quiet and so can understand why. Food was quite good though. So a shame the service, atmosphere and restaurant decor let's it down.

Everything is excelent, from drinks , sides, mains to dessert, it was cooked to perfection-it looks and tastes real home cooked food.

Huge shoutout to the Team of Estrella de Tapas! Food is authentic, absolutely delicious and fair for its price. I admire the excellent service. When I’m stuck in what to order as there are variety of selections, the staff are well-knowledgeable to make recommendations! My husband and I are regular customers as we certainly could not get enough. The paella is to die for! And not to forget, the desserts! Who wouldn’t come back for more home made churros and crema catalana! Exquisito!

I booked this restaurant for my mum’s 70th birthday. I haven’t come across any restaurant which declines customer’s request to bring in a cake for birthday celebration. So it didn’t occur to me initially to check with the restaurant before ordering the cake. On the day as soon as the restaurant opened at 5pm, I called to check with them. I was responded by text message that they can’t accommodate the cake as I booked via a discount website. I expressed my disappointment politely. The restaurant owner claimed that he didn’t want to have unhappy customer and therefore he cancelled my booking without my permission. I was astonished! Did he/she ever realise by cancelling the booking just half an hour before a 70th birthday celebration meal due to start cause far more stress and frustration?! I then paused everything I was doing with my mum for the celebration and had to find an alternative restaurant very quickly, then informed my husband the new venue and time since he would go there from work, whilst entertaining my mum and not let her know what had happened and not to worry. You can’t imagine the stress I was under in the short space of 30 minutes. This is not how I imagined a celebration day to be like! The owner came across very dominant and inconsiderate. I saw his/her responses to other people’s 1 star reviews, he’s used very strong words in serious tone! He seems to be a big character! The food might be very good. But to me, dining experience is not only about food but also the customer service. I don’t want to risk visiting the restaurant after experiencing what the owner is like. Everytime I walk past, the restaurant always looks quite empty. So I’m puzzled why the owner has such attitude as if he decides everything and customer doesn’t matter. That’s a bad ethos.

Very disappointing first and last visit. The food cooked here is not authentic Spanish. Apparently, the same team ran an Italian restaurant in the same unit until recently. The food served us was very poor tapas. I know, as my wife is Spanish! Little to no cooking skill shown and low quality ingredients used so little taste. The atmosphere is also strangely flat, with little flair, service or welcome. Compared with other tapas places in Bristol (Bravas and Gambas) it really is a poor dining experience.

Patatas bravas, grilled vegetables, pork belly, octopus and huevos a la estrella for two, plus dessert, enough food. Huevos a la estrella plus patatas bravas were insipid, brava sauce should be a bit hot which it wasn't.

I went with my friend on a peaceful sunday afternoon and it remains as one of the best memories i’ve had for summer so far. The staff was lovely and friendly and the food was just exquisite. I’ll definitely be visiting again soon, even by myself maybe. Very good value for money too!

Had fries with sunny side up eggs, I believe it’s called huevo de estrella, and what can I say, just wow. It was full of flavours, not overwhelming, just perfect. Each component complemented each other and had i been at home dining I would have licked the whole plate clean.

Arrived looked at outside menu and by time I parked my mobility scooter then had fetched a ramp to enter over the small step. Food was fresh and delicious Highly recommended for easy access

I’m almost lost for words, to serve pre-baked baguettes, on a tapas restaurant, was topped of with serving a lamb chop on the same baguette.. this is so far away from a tapas restaurant it’s possible to come. I was a bit surprised in the beginning to be alone in the restaurant, not anymore. Avoid and move on

Dog friendly restaurant so would bring our dog Mochi with us. The food was just amazing! I ordered some seafood and each dish tasted fresh and delicious. Definitely will be coming back, One of the best restaurants in Bristol! 😄

Sunday afternoon Tapas to celebrate Wedding Anniversary. We arrived mid afternoon so the restaurant was not busy. The menu is not extensive but a good choice of tapas. Service was not rushed and the tapas ordered were very tasty

Stumbled across this exquisite restaurant after a long day of work. I entered the resturant, was greeted & seated with genuinety and kindness. I was recommended a few dishes such as the "brocheta" and "huevo a la estrella". It was fantastic! I've never tasted anything so close to home & how my spanish mum used to cook for me. I will definitely be coming back more often & become a refular because this place feels like home. The atmosphere and the food and the workers. Highly recommend.

4 stars for now. We were busy that time.I just had few spoonfuls of food because this was where we celebrated our beloved daughter's 18th Birthday! (last 09.Feb.2024) It was a surprise party organized by her father and relatives in collaboration with Estrella de Tapas' staff. The place was very cozy. (I especially love the furniture. so comfortable) I'd like to think that they have complete kitchenware. The staff were very friendly & accomodating. The management made ways to grant every request we had. They provided every cutlery, food and cake stand, table cloth, and many more. They have a lot of insights and helped us with decorations despite of serving other customers/locals.(We started prepations a little early during their opening hours. They closed a part of the Restaurant, a mini Function Hall were we decorated. The area was wide enough for the celebrant to dance with her father and everyone.) Without their constant support, our celebration won't be a success. P.S. Try their cocktails! i wish I spent time sitting at that Bar enjoying refreshments. We were busy with the program.😅 (I believed following our Birthday Celebration, my inLaws also dine here for their Porcelain Anniversary.) EDIT: I WILL BE IN UK THIS WEEKEND AGAIN! Had a lovely evening here with 7 members of family and friends. The food was wonderful and decently portioned. The service was attentive and friendly. It was also great that you could hear what people were saying and not drowned out by loud music. I tried the sizzling seafood platter, patatas bravas, asparagus and mushrooms, calamari, deep fried squid, spanish omlete with artichokes, and the octopus and galacian style mash! It would have been rude not to have tried churros and chocolate dip! Also managed to get free parking across Whiteladies Road all in all a great evening! Sorry didn't take any pictures just too busy have a great time!

Amazing discover, place has a simple and functional decorations, food is amazing, a real finger leaking food and with a very good presentation. I recommend you the paddron peppers as started. Although everything was perfect, the thing most remarkable was the amazing service, waitress are smiling and very friendly, I will specially thanks Chastine, for making our dinner a very good experience, also they speak Spanish, as they should for a Spanish restaurant. Food was absolutely gorgeous, with great service and atmosphere

The food was really poor and not fresh at all. We ordered patatas bravas, calamari, fried belly pork and king prawns. The calamari was bland and tasted like it was previously frozen. The belly pork was stale and the crispy skin was soft, like it also had been frozen previously and heated in the microwave. The prawns were tasty, hot to touch but when peeled the actual prawn was barely warm. I think I ate a mouthful of each dish. The service was average, staff were friendly. Would not return and I wouldn’t recommend it to anybody. Thank goodness we used first table because I would’ve been reluctant to pay the full price (£55).

To celebrate a 21st. Friendly staff. Accommodated our request to serve us our own champers and provide the glasses too. Also served us the birthday cake we had brought. Food was very good and fairly priced. Lighting was a little harsh which impaired the ambience. W were very surprised to notice a total absence of Spanish accents and to find that none of the staff were remotely Spanish. Perhaps this explained the nature of the dishes served which could best be described as 'fusion'. Interesting!
