Having had a Restaurant most my life and being picky to freshness and atmosphere. This restaurant is simply Devine. It has such a nice atmosphere with such a wonderful view. Stumbled across this exquisite restaurant after a long day of work. I entered the resturant, was greeted & seated with genuinety and kindness. I was recommended a few dishes such as the "brocheta" and "huevo a la estrella". It was fantastic! I've never tasted anything so close to home & how my spanish mum used to cook for me. I will definitely be coming back more often & become a refular because this place feels like home. The atmosphere and the food and the workers. Highly recommend.

Very disappointed. Staff were pleasant. Food was poor. Couldn't finish the tortilla. It all felt like it was yesterday's food reheated.

4 stars for now. We were busy that time.I just had few spoonfuls of food because this was where we celebrated our beloved daughter's 18th Birthday! (last 09.Feb.2024) It was a surprise party organized by her father and relatives in collaboration with Estrella de Tapas' staff. The place was very cozy. (I especially love the furniture. so comfortable) I'd like to think that they have complete kitchenware. The staff were very friendly & accomodating. The management made ways to grant every request we had. They provided every cutlery, food and cake stand, table cloth, and many more. They have a lot of insights and helped us with decorations despite of serving other customers/locals.(We started prepations a little early during their opening hours. They closed a part of the Restaurant, a mini Function Hall were we decorated. The area was wide enough for the celebrant to dance with her father and everyone.) Without their constant support, our celebration won't be a success. P.S. Try their cocktails! i wish I spent time sitting at that Bar enjoying refreshments. We were busy with the program.😅 (I believed following our Birthday Celebration, my inLaws also dine here for their Porcelain Anniversary.) EDIT: I WILL BE IN UK THIS WEEKEND AGAIN! Had a lovely evening here with 7 members of family and friends. The food was wonderful and decently portioned. The service was attentive and friendly. It was also great that you could hear what people were saying and not drowned out by loud music. I tried the sizzling seafood platter, patatas bravas, asparagus and mushrooms, calamari, deep fried squid, spanish omlete with artichokes, and the octopus and galacian style mash! It would have been rude not to have tried churros and chocolate dip! Also managed to get free parking across Whiteladies Road all in all a great evening! Sorry didn't take any pictures just too busy have a great time!

Amazing discover, place has a simple and functional decorations, food is amazing, a real finger leaking food and with a very good presentation. I recommend you the paddron peppers as started. Although everything was perfect, the thing most remarkable was the amazing service, waitress are smiling and very friendly, I will specially thanks Chastine, for making our dinner a very good experience, also they speak Spanish, as they should for a Spanish restaurant. Thanks again for the meal and see you soon guys.

Food was absolutely gorgeous, with great service and atmosphere

The food was really poor and not fresh at all. We ordered patatas bravas, calamari, fried belly pork and king prawns. The calamari was bland and tasted like it was previously frozen. The belly pork was stale and the crispy skin was soft, like it also had been frozen previously and heated in the microwave. The prawns were tasty, hot to touch but when peeled the actual prawn was barely warm. I think I ate a mouthful of each dish. The service was average, staff were friendly. Would not return and I wouldn’t recommend it to anybody. Thank goodness we used first table because I would’ve been reluctant to pay the full price (£55).

To celebrate a 21st. Friendly staff. Accommodated our request to serve us our own champers and provide the glasses too. Also served us the birthday cake we had brought. Food was very good and fairly priced. Lighting was a little harsh which impaired the ambience. W were very surprised to notice a total absence of Spanish accents and to find that none of the staff were remotely Spanish. Perhaps this explained the nature of the dishes served which could best be described as 'fusion'. Interesting!

We had a quaint lunch with my friends. The food was terrific. The flavour of their dishes was accentuated by simplicity. The food was naturally tasty, with no MSG tang. Simple but elegant.

We would not return to this restaurant. The food was tastless and not very well seasoned. Most of the food was covered in oil and was certainly not fresh. The tempura artichokes for example were covered in so much salt they were inedible. We left...

This is by far the best Spanish restaurant I’ve ever been to. I had few dishes and they were all to my expectations but my favourite is paella and the paella here was amazing!! We had paella mixta for 2 and it was only £25!...

I really wanted to find a good tapas and paella place in Bristol but sadly this isn’t it. We were shown our seats in the conservatory part of the restaurant which despite having heaters was too cold for me to be comfortable and had to move. The decor isn’t at all Spanish with blue velour chairs but they would be OK if the food was good. We ordered bread, olives, manchengo cheese and cured ham to start. Tiny, overpriced portions and only one type of olive with stones is not a great start for me. Then paella for two which was not generous at all. I would have expected that to be a portion for one! The waitress told us it would be “full of seafood” but in reality we had 3 calamari rings, 5 tiny mussels and 5 shell on prawns to share. The paella was not moist and was bland. My husband had 2 bottled beers, I had a bottle of Diet Coke and 1 pudding (a good crème Catalan) with the service charge added on was £80. Waaaaaay overpriced. Cannot recommend this restaurant as a good choice for Spanish tapas or paella.-

We had a quiet dinner at Estrella. The food was good especially the paella. Satisfying Paella de Marisco with a lot of toppings for only £30 more than enough to fill up 2. We had a couple more sides which were equally tasty. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Will definitely come again.

We decided to eat here on a nice warm afternoon. Cosy place but food wise there is room for improvement - the presentation was good but all dishes felt like something was missing and that something was flavour! The service could also be improved as when we asked the waitress for the bill for some reason we ended up waiting ages for her to show up despite being so quiet with very few customers on the day.

I reeeeeally wanted to love this place. We ordered a lot of different plates and overall felt things were under seasoned. I just wanted more flavor, but with each new dish we were equally underwhelmed. The service was fabulous and the atmosphere extremely romantic, it's just missing something in the food!

Very tasty food. Good wine and adjusted price. Also a mention to their padrón peppers,cooked to perfection, makes a world when eating them. I’m not a fan of included service charge on the bills, as service should be included, gratuity should be optional, no just saying to the tender please remove it as it could make everyone uncomfortable after a pleasant meal.. but that is a minor thing, as it happens everywhere.
