Nice ambience, friendly, professional staff, good service. Quite quiet during our visit. Food was good but not fabulous for me, there were 6 of us and we had various dishes, some were happier than others. Wine was good, we chose the Merlot. Food also a little expensive, especially starters.

Old style restaurant in this historic building, lovely white tablecloths and stunning views from window overlooking lake. Many others having special treats, birthdays, weddings, etc. Very attentive staff. What we particularly liked was small beautifully presented well cooked meals so we left feeling really satisfied but not bloated. We loved the way the carrots were cooked p, very unusual and I wished they did a side dish so I cud have ordered more. Do try the carrots and you will taste what I mean. the meals we had were really succulent thoroughly enjoyable visit

Third time having a meal at this restaurant. When we have stayed at the hotel we have also used the bar to eat previously. We had a three course meal. The food was nice, we weren't amazed by the quality but we have a lot to compare it to. For me, the ambiance is a little off. It doesn't feel romantic, it feels like your in a very old fashioned room for the older generation. It could do with some more style, modernising it a little or adding some glamor to its decor is needed. I have been in old listed buildings restaurants, I am not suggesting its original look should be changed but you need someone in there to bring it into this century somewhat whilst keeping its traditions. It could be so much more!

Had an anniversary meal on a Thursday night, only two other tables occupied and most of the others not even laid up so atmosphere was certainly lacking. Food was good and well presented but £83 for three courses and a glass of wine each was over the top. No wonder all the corporate residents dine in Charlie’s Bar.

Got married at this venue 4 years ago and so treated ourselves for an anniversary meal to celebrate at the Bridgewalk restaurant. The food was beautifully presented and tasted delicious! The food has got better and better here over the years and we’ll definitely head back at some point in the future to try it out again. A bit on the expensive side but for a special occasion it was definitely worth it.

My son treated me to a meal here yesterday evening. the setting is beautiful and the restaurant atmosphere was calm and serene. Our waiter was Paul M who was extremely attentive without being intrusive. we had the prawn and crayfish, and the goats cheese starters. they were both excellent. We followed this with duck and Yorkshire lamb mains. presentation was exquisite and food mouthwateringly delicious. we shared a Yorkshire cheese selection for dessert, which again was lovely. the whole evening was lovely and this was helped by the service of our waiter, Paul M, who went above and beyond to ensure we had a good evening. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I took my husband here for his 60th Birthday treat. A treat it certainly was. A beautifully setting for a restaurant. Very peaceful, private and romantic visit. Historically this was the first nature reserve in England. The restaurant of Bridgewalk sits over a lake. You cross a bridge over the lovely lake to reach the restaurant and walk through the lovely lawned area up to the main entrance. The staff welcomed us and directed us to the restaurant which is tastefully decorated and not too many tables on top of one another which allowed the setting to be relaxed and comfortable . The food was perfect. Not too much or too little. I had the duck breast and my husband had the steak. Both delicious. For dessert we had the chocolate assortments which were fabulous and not too filling. To finish I had a Irish coffee and husband had a Cognac coffee. The food, drink, atmosphere and staff were all perfect. Would definitely go again. I will return in the summer when I will be able to take advantage of the beautiful grounds and enjoy another meal there.

I took my 86 year old mother here for afternoon tea. It is a lovely location but were surprised to be the only ones in the restaurant. The tea was lovely with a great selection of sandwiches, pastries and cakes. Far too much to eat in one sitting but we were kindly provided with a "doggie bag" to take the remainder home. All in all a good experience but a little pricey at £19.00 per person compared to similar offerings locally. I suppose you are paying for the location.

This restaurant is part of the Waterton Park Hotel complex and is located in Walton Hall on the island. I'd invited friends for dinner and after a mix up with my reservation we were eventually shown to our table. There is a fine selection of wines and reasonable prices. The meal was excellent.

Stayed at the hotel for valentines package and dined at bridgewalk. ~as this was an extremely busy night they were using the library as an "overflow" space unfortunately this did not have the wow factor of the restaurant and this wasnt helped by the lack of background music and the overall presentation. All this aside the food which lets face it is the reason you go was fabulous the mussels were the best I have had in a long while. On the most part the service was very good. Would definitely recommend and will return but always make sure you have a table in the main restaurant.

I went here recently for a family members 90th Birthday and can't rate it highly enough. Lends itself for special occasions - there was a wedding party there at the time. The restaurant is part of The Waterton Park Hotel and you walk across a bridge over the water to get there. Superb food, all the staff were very attentive and couldn't do enough for you and very friendly. I would certainly recommend a visit. 10/10 definitely :-)

First visit for a quick tea and won’t be last: gorgeous food. Very friendly professional gentleman greeted us and explained menu etc. Had the chicken burger and Parmesan/Truffle fries: delicious. Hubby enjoyed his beef pattie and fries too. We will be back to try other dishes on menu soon. Can highly recommend
