Went here Friday lunchtime for a catch up with my brother, I've heard bad things about this pub in the past but as it's now under new management I thought I'd give it a try, it's a nice old pub that's been tastefully renovated recently, plenty of parking and a nice outdoor area (which was quite busy, it was a bit too hot to eat outside so we elected to get a table indoors. The inside was nicely renovated maintaining a few of the old features, the beer was good though not a great selection , food was basic pub grub but was well cooked, arrived quickly and there was plenty of it, one negative was that our table was a bit sticky and could have done with a wipe over, bar staff was pleasant attentive without being intrusive. My main negative thing was the lack of atmosphere it may be different at night but on Friday lunchtime it was definitely a bit flat

Just got in before last orders for foodThursday just gone. Ordered the steak and ale pie and asked for mash instead of chips. Pie was one of the worst I’ve had. It had obviously been microwaved and the pastry was saggy and chewy. Wasn’t a large chunk of meat in it either. Really poor. I’ve been here for Sunday dinner and it was really nice last time. Locals said at the bar it can be a bit inconsistent. Hopefully things will improve

Visited The Bridge for Sunday Lunch. What a makeover! Brighter and fresher inside and out. Had the Sunday roast …. What can I say… best roast dinner for miles. The meat ( I had beef) was cooked to perfection and plenty of it. Others in my family who are often hard to please were also impressed with their meals. Would definitely recommend The Bridge Inn to all. Well done to the new management team

Called in here for Sunday lunch whilst out on the bikes after hearing it had been taken over by new owners. We both ordered the 3 meat Sunday roast. I can honestly say it’s the best value Sunday roast in Flintshire. The huge piece of crackling the perfectly cooked Yorkshire pudding/roast pots and tender meat and plentiful veg and lashings of gravy were all excellent. Good priced drinks as well 👍 Moretti and Kronenburg on draught. Nice beer garden alongside the river Will be calling again

Came at 1pm on a Monday, didn’t look busy at all. Stopped here for a quick bite and a drink which ended up being an awful and time consuming visit. The wait time to receive the menus, order drinks and for the food to arrive was a bit ridiculous. We were there over 1hr and 25 minutes. The host was extremely rude and very hostile when I asked whether they offer NHS discount. The host tried to charge £2 for a jug of tap water which should be free. One meal was ordered WITHOUT the additional £1 gravy which was then still brought out with the meal even when we said we didn’t order it and he stated it was included in the meal, but the £1 was then still added onto our bill???Vegetable soup was extremely bland and the salad looked very sorry for itself. Definitely won’t be visiting again.

Rude encounter with who we think is the owner. Pig headed, obnoxious man who kept referring to us as ‘Babe’ was extremely condescending and made us feel very uncomfortable. When we enquired if they offered NHS discount we were met with a rude and offensive come back asking if we earned a full wage working for the NHS and why should he offer any discount when his establishment has been closed half the year due to the pandemic, which is fair but a simple no we don’t sorry would of done. Didn’t appreciate feeling belittled in front of my family. Waited an hour for food, vegetable soup was just blended carrot and swede with no flavour. My partner ordered the only vegan thing on the menu which wasn’t available My mum had ordered a steak sandwhich with an optional £1 jug of gravy which she declined. When it came out with gravy she said oh I didn’t order the gravy to which he replied oh it comes with the meal love - granted it was on the bill at the end. Tried to charge us £2.50 for tap water, when my sister questioned it saying that she’s never been charged tap water anywhere his reply was ‘don’t you know there is a pandemic on? We’ve got to wash the glasses, pay the staff’ Yes sir I do know there is a pandemic going on as Iv worked through the whole of it saving lives for the NHS. Never, ever setting foot in that place again

After a long dog walk in the local area I was delighted to stumble across this place. On walking in to the premises I can say it was so welcoming with a roaring log fire on the go and a genuinely warm greeting from the owner and team.I established that they are pet friendly and well behaved dogs are permitted in the bar area. This suited me fine as I got to be seated by that lovely log fire. There is also a restaurant for more formal dining and larger families. The bar was decked out with rustic simple Christmas Decorations it was so lovely and homely.Food choices are many, all at a very reasonable price too. I opted for the Sunday roast dinner and my word what a great choice I made...very generous portion, fresh seasonal veg served on a side dish, the most tastiest gravy, just heaven on a plate!Staff very attentive, so friendly and lots of laughter heard. We recently celebrated our golden wedding anniversary and decided to arrange a meal for family and friends. Having dined at the Bridge Inn on a number of previous occasions it was an easy decision for us to hold our get together there. Our party consisted of 23 people including 3 young great grandchildren. In order to assist the chef and staff we pre ordered from their extensive menu. The tables were well set out so that no one was too far away from each other. We must congratulate all concerned in the way that all meals were served within minutes, well cooked, hot and well presented. Our thanks go to Larry, the Landlord, chef and all staff for making our night an extremely enjoyable experience. Well done and thankyou from Margaret and Graham..

Went to the Bridge Inn with our family ,three children and six adults . What a fantastic meal , Larry made my whole family feel welcome and was superb with the children . The food was classic pub food - steak pies, fish and chips..... beautiful and very fresh. I can't speak highly enough of this restaurant and we will return again . For me this is what you want from the British Pub.

We got a flat tyre outside this pub and Larry the landlord was an absolute GEM. He was absolutely fine about the RAC van using the car park to help sort out the tyre, gave us a free drink each and was so attentive with regards to whether we were ok. He told us a bit of history about the pub (it was built in the 16th century) whilst we waited for the recovery van and did everything possible to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The food was really tasty, and the pub itself is very warm and rustic. Honestly, Larry is one of the most lovely people we have met and helped make what was a hellish experience a comfortable and happy one. What a man. THANK YOU LARRY!

Greeted with a smile by a very nice young girl behind the bar, offered to sit in the restaurant or the bar area, shown to our table and in the restaurant...plenty of room.Drinks and food ordered, I had the ham and eggs with chips and my wife had sausage and mash, very nice and the price was very reasonable at £12 for the two dishes.Service was good and pub was very clean and inviting will definitely go back. The menu has much more to offer

Stopped off for a rest from driving home after a trip to North Wales. Although a short stay this was a thoroughly enjoyable break. The place was buzzing with a family party in the function room. We sat in the lounge listening to the music. The bar felt homely and had plenty of interest to enjoy and pass the time. It was reasonably busy with regulars who were very friendly. Would've liked to stay longer and will call again when in the area.

As I regularly ride and drive into North Wales, I always pass this Pub on the way out and on the return leg of my journey. I have never stopped here before until my Wife, Dog and I were returning from a mid week break in wales. We had stopped in an establishment that was not so dog friendly and had an awful manager, so stopping at a nice place would have been a welcome change. We only stopped here for a drink in the beer garden with the dog. We found the landlord and his partner the most friendly and accommodating that you could imagine. The pub wasn't too busy being midweek lunch time, so the landlord and his partner even came out to the beer garden to talk to us, gave the dog some food and made us feel very welcome indeed. Such a refreshing change from the awful experience we had over the last couple of days.Next time we are passing, we will be sure to stop for a drink or a meal and will look forward to some real friendly customer service. A sterling example to all establishments !Thanks to the landlord (Larry I think, sorry if If got that wrong) and his lovely partner.Hope to see you soon.

Nice atmosphere, very good and prompt service from the ladies working their. However the food is very much frozen to plate! We chose to have the Roast Beef and Pork dinners.Roast potatoes = frozen Vegetables (carrots especially) = frozenYorkshire puddings = frozenStuffing balls = frozenThe meat all looked and tasted like it hadn't been cooked in the premises too!! Had that supermarket sliced meat taste! Is a shame as they say they have " own cooked chips" if that's the case why not home made roast potatoes and vegetables on a Sunday. It's not hard to cook roasties and carrots!!Won't be returning I'm afraid based on the food alone!

Visited for an early evening meal. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome and chatting with our little girls. I had salmon and chips and my friend had a vegetable lasagne with chips. Both the meals were delicious. We also had icecream sundaes which were nice but nothing special the girls enjoyed them though! Overall very good value for money and we're looking forward to returning for an afternoon visit to try out the little play area.

Made to feel welcome from the minute we walked through the door. Excellent value for money! Landlord was great with the children, 12 year old and 10 week old. Visited on route home from holiday in Wales and even though full of regulars/locals we were made to feel like one of them. Will definitely visit again if passing. Drinks order taken straight away, once food order placed we didn't wait long at all for meal to arrive. Tasty food, good portion size and not overpriced. Thank you!

Lovelly location by the river, but the food was very poor. Vegetarian option was some sort on inedible concoction. Informed the manager who answered that they sell loads every week and other people don't complain!

Have visited this pub/restaurant on a number of occasions over many years with our family. You are always felt welcome here and all the staff are very friendly and polite. The outdoor sitting areas are nice and the one by the river has a small play area. We usually eat from the 2 mains for £12 menu which is excellent value. There are also usually 2 guest ales on which are always worth a try. Will be visiting again and again.

Eight months since I ate here last, and it's lost none of the magic. I'm not going to try to recall all that was in the duck dish. Suffice to say a range of wonderful flavours that combined beautifully. I try to resist desserts where I can but spotted the brownies with pistachio ice cream and honeycomb at another table - and was powerless. It was certainly worth the indulgence! If you are looking for somewhere special to celebrate, then look no further!

This was our first visit and we had a very pleasant evening. One of our group has dietary requirements (gluten and dairy free). The staff were very attentive and helpful, checking the dishes chosen were suitable and safe. The food was delicious, cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. Excellent service. We will definitely go back there.
