This cafe cosy, welcoming and friendly. Stopped off before our walk around town. The coffee, pastie (+ another)! Along with a hot full English breakfast - just lovely. The back of the cafe has a lovely view of the river and bridge a real chilled vibe. The Raspberry, white chocolate cake is lush!! Definitely recommend it.

We called in late afternoon a couple of weeks ago on our way back to our car, intending to grab a drink and maybe a cake each to take back to our accommodation. The young lady who served us was lovely and it was a nice end to our day to be served by, and enjoy a chat, with someone so friendly and patient with our indecision despite probably just wanting to finish up!. We made our purchases and were sent off with a baguette each which was such a nice gesture. The cakes we bought, and the baguettes we enjoyed for our dinner, were delicious and I highly recommend this cafe which also has a view to die for if you are lucky enough to nab a table to dine in. Not sure if the young lady who served two chatty Australian women one afternoon two weeks ago with such kindness (and a baguette each) will even remember us, but you made our day, the food was delicious and we'd encourage anyone in the area to stop by the Pulteney Bridge Coffee Shop :)

We were fortunate to find this lovely watering hole.in the busyness and rush of of the city. We had struggled to find any place dog-friendl and indoors on a rainy afternoon in Bath and were so blessed by the welcome we recieved. The incredible view over the wear added to the excellent service and quality fair. I can recommend the vanilla bean frame, the cinnemon bun and the incredibly fresh baguettes. A nice house blend of coffee rounds off the perfect lunchtime visit. An absolute gem.

Went twice during our visit, both times it was amazing service! Breakfast was great, for a late lunch the baguettes were a nice choice. It’s a small spot with only one or two employees so waiting for a spot will take some time but takeaway is a nice, you can stand by the bridge and have your coffee.

Small café with delicious coffee specialties and homemade cakes. 1 piece cost £3.45. Great location, but the unmotivated service didn't think it was important to wipe the dirty tables. The floor looked bad and you lost your appetite. The café is really small, so you can sweep up the dirt!

General – I’m reviewing this lovely Café under two different locations on Trip Advisor as there appears to be confusion over the name and location. This is the Café at the end of Pulteney Bridge simply called PULTENEY BRIDGE COFFEE. It’s a small Café thatthat would struggle to seat more than about 15 people at a time. The staff – very friendly and attentive. Provided a good service. The food – was excellent. Had the Full English Breakfast 2 days running. Top quality, reasonable price and very tasty. All the food they sell looks really good. The atmosphere – busy, popular and nice friendly atmosphere. Quite a small Café with people coming and going all the time to take away. Can get crowded. Value for money – certainly good value. Two breakfasts and coffees under £30. Visit again - definitely.

If ypu like home brand processed food, this is your place. The people working there will argue with you about your order. They have very limited drinks. This coffee shop should not be located here in the size of a postage stamp .. absolutely no charm, atmosphere, or room to actually eat anything .. people stepping over and on each other .. we ordered 2 iced lattes and she had to go upstairs to make them ..??? .. and she did not actually listen to us when ordering because I got the wrong order .. after I left the shop I threw it out as it tasted terrible .. .. we threw out the pastries too as they tasted bad .. manager/worker has a younger assistant but she also was so overwhelmed she had to go and sit down to rest .. leaving the manager to check in 5 people at once .. took us 20 min to get 2 lattes ... go too a place where you will be respected and where the coffee and food tastes better

What we ordered: - lemon drizzle cake - queen vic - scones Lemon drizzle cake was so moist and buttery. The lemon was not overpowering and provided the right amount of tanginess. Overall 10/10 for this. Scones was a lil dry. Would skip it. Queen Vic was alright but the best was still the lemon drizzle cake. Takeout price is cheaper than eat in. If you don’t mind eating on the go, just go for take out (:

Beautiful cafe overlooking the river. Small and quaint with fab cakes and coffees. Unfortunately served by a terribly rude female member of staff this afternoon. Shouted at everyone that they were closing in 15 mins but still served tea etc. Tried to help out by clearing the tables and she snapped the dishes from me. Having sat down for approximately 8 mins we were roared at to leave even though they were still serving takeouts. Quite confrontational and cheeky as we left, No need for this behaviour or treatment of customers. It’s a shame as it’s a really lovely cafe.

I popped in for a sandwich earlier and frankly felt most unwelcome. The young girl behind clearly would rather be anywhere, but delivering a service to paying customers. We visited this Cafe on Saturday afternoon, there were a number of empty tables, but they hadn’t been cleared, Customers had just put dirty dishes on the shelf by the window. We ordered Teas and a couple of coffees along with some cakes. the Tea arrived and the cakes and the forks were dirty. We asked if we could change the Forks and the waitress took them away only to return 5 mins later and pronounced that she had polished the forks just for us, totally unnecessary comment. The Coffee took another 15mins by which time we had already finished our cakes. Maybe if this lady had spent less time going out side for a cheeky vape then she could have checked her dishwasher for clean forks, or gave us our coffees in a timely fashion. There was no need for her attitude, at no point did we complain about the doors beening wedged open which made the place freezing , or the fact there there were so many cups and plates lying about.

Myself and partner stumbled across the Pulteney during a little walk on a few days away stay. The views were lovely over looking the river, this was the only reason we wanted to go in the first place. Inside it is very small and can only seat around 10 / 15 people and not all seats have a view of the river. The lady working was very polite to everyone that came in and did a very good job of upselling to people, she was with out question the best part of the cafe. We both had food that the cafe I asked for a large full english breakfast and pancakes. Pancakes were lovely and fluffy. They had a lovely texture to them and melted in your mouth, they came with butter and syrup we also got a banana as an upsell. The full English was a little bit of a let down, a large one s asked for was small and the toast was burnt. I feel that with regards to bacon and sausage it felt & tased cheap. I did eat it all and it did fill a gap but I was let down by this - If a meal check was undertaken I would have said something to gain a better understanding of the size. The coffee was good along with the tea. If you are looking for a quick drink on the go this is your place. The cakes and bits and bobs looked lovely and I will possibly get a cake before we leave later in the week. We spent around £25 for two meals and a drinks with the view I can't say it was expensive at all.

First of all, my order was delivered to the wrong table. The tea came first and arrived even before I had sat down after paying at the till, but I thought it was waiting to be cleared as the milk jug was angled inside the tea cup and the food was not there. Then the food was delivered to the same, wrong table. This was soon sorted out but the place is small, how hard is it to match the order to the face? I then discovered that the teacup had lipstick on it. The guy serving took it away and probably just wiped it off rather than bring me a fresh, clean cup but I don't know. I see other reviewers have had the same experience so cleanliness is apparently not a priority in this cafe. The cup didn't sit properly in the saucer, either, not sure they belonged together. Not sure if the teapot was clean but the surface of it seemed old and worn; it might just be some 'retro' look I don't get. I had a cream tea. The scones were warm but seemed dry, the texture unpleasant and claggy in my mouth. The cream and jam were fine but the quantity was very mean. The tea itself was good. I have walked past this cafe many times but never gone in. The idea of sitting looking out over the river was too tempting on a hot day but the experience was disappointing. And £7.90 for an indifferent cream tea is too much, even if the crockery had been clean. I guess when you run a charmingly situated Bath cafe, you can rely on the pull of that charm and let other matters slide. I would not visit this cafe again but I daresay the many tourists that do will keep it in business.

A daytrip to Bath; we parked in a side-street courtesy of a longtime associate. We then walked just-over half-a-mile to this coffee shop café on Pulteney Bridge. For those that don’t know Pulteney Bridge is a highly unusual structure; with shops built across both sides of the full span of the bridge, and this café is one of the shops. The views from the café are of the River Avon as it heads downstream towards Parade Gardens, and this includes the fabulous picturesque horseshoe weir. We had an absolutely wonderful coffee here, hot and strong, with a bitter burned caramel flavour. It was far better and cheaper than the cost-a-fortune coffee, and how can you beat that view? Service was efficient and pleasant.

I had a really disappointing experience at Bathampton Mill today at lunchtime where the food was brilliant, but the service was just awful. My family had travelled quite far to see us and we had heard lovely things about this place so we thought we’d check it out for lunch. It started off well and we were promptly served our drinks and mains. However once we had finished our mains, there was absolutely no table service. We waited for 45 minutes for our pudding, even though we had already ordered it with the mains. The kids got their ice cream, but the adults were completely ignored. On top of that, they didn’t clear our plates, which we had stacked ourselves, making us feel completely invisible. It was so embarrassing and frustrating because the food was fantastic, but the appalling service ruined the whole experience. I honestly can't recommend this place based on how let down we felt.
