The toilet was disgusting and had no toilet paper or hand soap, I told a staff member who then took 20mins to restock it so I could use it. She was too busy talking to an un-uniformed friend about tattoos and piercings! When I finally got to use it there was still no hand soap so I went and asked a different staff member if there was some that I could wash my hands with but got told they didn’t have any hand soap at all! I then got an extremely dirty pot of hand gel shoved in front of me which I said I didn’t want to use as I wanted to actually wash my hands (especially since the toilet was so dirty). She proceeded to tell me they didn’t have anything I could wash my hands with in an annoyed manner. Which makes me wonder what they’re washing their hands with before serving everyone’s food and drink!

Good coffee and desserts, friendly service. Restroom did not have Toilet Paper. Overall good ambience sipping coffee while people watching.

I went to this branch not knowing there was a nicer one about a 5 min walk away. This branch was very busy, quite small and filthy because there aren’t enough staff to clean as well as serve.

So nice, staff are very polite. There were quite a few staff training in there, so service did take a little bit longer but it was well worth the wait.

The toilets in this Costa are absolutely filthy. There's dust all over the bottom of the grab rails, and watermarks over most of the other surfaces. The mirrors and tiles have been wiped with a dirty cloth as you can clearly see smear marks. The soap dispenser was dirty and the dryer also had some beige muck in it. You would expect at 9am for toilets to have been cleaned properly but it's obvious the person who cleaned it doesn't know how to clean properly. The member of staff doing to coffees was also very happy to complain to customers about the new lad who's started, saying how he's not quite getting things. This isn't a team player, if you've found a problem with someone go to them direct and try to help them, don't moan about them to customers. He was also happy to moan about how Costa never have enough of the syrup for black forest hot chocolate. I would have been happy with a simple, 'sorry we're all out' but apparently it happens every year that Costa don't make enough. I've never had a problem getting black forest hot chocolate, your staff member is just negative and not what I want to hear during a day of retail therapy. The drink was nice but the croissant was slightly stale. I won't be back to this Costa for a bit.

Although there were only 2 members of staff on duty and they had had problems with a delivery they, Tom and Lucy, were outstanding and worked really well together to serve customers as efficiently as they could under difficult circumstances. They were both friendly, efficient and polite and explained to customers what was available. The tables were kept clear and the service was better than in a restaurant we ate in earlier in the week where they had more staff and less customers. Tom and Lucy you are both a credit to Costa and we hope your manager recognises this 😊

Grim…avoid. Smoothie was mostly froth. Went to sit downstairs as busy upstairs but the smells from the toilet were so disgusting we did not bother and left… grim!

Worth a visit as a morning regular. The service is superb and the new manager is fantastic. Always engaging, speedy and has a great way with customers. I would highly recommend and after visiting for years it is now running more efficiently and the service is fabtastic

This 1 gets very busy. Lucky if you find a seat!

Bath is a busy tourist location, lots of coffee shops to choose from. We chose Costa because we played safe.

Quick service but got my drink order wrong

Quite worrying customer service, my partner asked for an ice tea in which they explained they had no ice, my partner then explained that they wouldn't mind it if it did not have ice in it. This was met with a very negative attitude and immature language from three women working there. One staff member asked their colleague how to make an ice tea without ice and their colleague responded with "the easiest way to do it is to say no". They then shoved the drink to her quite abruptly. Is it is concerning that making ice tea without ice could cause such confusion. I'm quite worried about the mental capacity of the staff and I hope they improve later on in life.

Lots of seats available and charging ports when I arrived at 4ish so perfect for getting work done. Enjoyed my berry cooler, very refreshing.

Diabolical. Four staff on and two were busy talking, one was serving customers and making drinks and a fourth was ‘cleaning’ while there was a queue out the door. If I wasn’t buying food for a homeless person I would have left. 20 minutes of my life to get a soft drink and sandwich … never again

I work at a Starbucks and still prefer coming here, Costa espresso is just so much nicer. Got a free drink thanks to the app and the guy on till offered me a free upgrade to a larger size, which we're not even told to do at Starbucks, so props to Costa for that. Other than that the staff are always very friendly, but unless it's the summer it doesn't seem like there's enough of them in there to keep it running smoothly behind bar while keeping toilets and seating in check. The toilets are never really that clean and sometimes without toilet roll, Costa you're a billion dollar company, please employ more staff.

Ordered coffee to stay in was fairly prompt but one of the drinks was 3/4 full not very happy considering I paid for large.

It's always very crammed, seating is fairly impossible to get at least in my experience. The staff seemed lovely and drinks were spot on, I didn't get the chance to try the food but I'm sure it'll be like ever other Costa. Overall, it's fine if you're in and out but to sit in you might feel a bit cramped.

Lovely Costa with great ambience. Staff are fast at making delicious drinks. Really lovely layout of the store. Located in blBath city centre which is super handy as you walk around beautiful Bath. I would definitely go back.

My mother in law is disabled and in a wheel chair and the entrance door is too heavy to open and the metal strip has a lip on it so she got stuck coming out...

WHY DID YOUR DELIVERY PERSON NOT FOLLOW MY DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS. HE LEFT MY MY MEAL VULNERABLE TO BEING STOLEN BY ONE OF MY ABUSIVE NEIGHBOURS. I HAD TO CALL OUT OF MY WINDOW LOUDLY TO ASK HIM TO RING MY BELL & DELIVER TO MY APARTMENT INSTEAD OF ALLOWING IT TO BE SIDELINED & STOLEN FROM MY NEIGHBOUR AT FLAT B. SARAH ANSLOW (FLAT A) = WHEELCHAIR DEPENDENT AND UNABLE TO GET TO MAIN DOOR.

Beth was super knowledgeable about allergens and all the preventative cross contamination measures, more than I’ve seen at any costa before. Very happy :)

Cannot understand why this Costa is still serving coffee in takeaway cups, all other Costa we visit serve their coffee in proper coffee cups. My coffee was 80% froth and weak. Tables not wiped after customers have left, and covered in crumbs and sugar and finger marks plus floor not clean. Toilet was disgusting. Dirty leaking sink, tap does not turn off, puddles of water on the floor, dirty toilet, obviously not checked all day. Floor filthy also in toilet. The whole place needs a damn good clean. Staff need to be more observant.

Drinks came completely spilt in the bag as no one from the restaurant put any delivery lids on them . very disappointed with how they arrived. however the driver was lovely and I cant thank him enough for trying to sort this out. please can we have a refund on our order as this is not acceptable .

Driver got went to completely the wrong location and I ended up having to walk several streets away to find him & get my order. Then discovered items were missing so overall poor experience. The items I did receive were great though

Everything was cold very unhappy and my buns was burnt.

Delivered whilst saying it was still in the store? No information given as of when the driver was on his way.

I was very disappointed that the item I originally ordered had run out (Chicken Fajita Wrap) and the only other thing that could be offered that was not on white bread or fish was a cheese sandwich. I was not offered any kind of compensation or refund, in fact I was told that the cheese sandwich was 'probably more expensive' but 'not to worry' about that! The person who dealt with my order was friendly but this turned out to be very expensive for a basic sandwich (once delivery and service charges were added on top).

So painfully slow to get served. Queued 10 mins only to be told I couldn't have a China cup. Went over to Pret A Manger and got served instantly.

Kudos Costa Coffee Stall St Bath. They might have acs5ep into yhe shop but they haven't forgotten wheelchair users. Called into the cafe today for a cuppa, pushed the button for assistance and a member of d5aff came outwith a wheelchair ramp. I've found another watering hole when I need a cuppa and toilet.

I ordered my food at 3 and it arrived just past 4. 3 items from costa shouldn't take an hour to be delivered to me. When the food arrived it was stone cold and I had to heat it up myself. I'm in isolation for a surgery the next day and had to order food as I had none. Very disappointed.

Rude lady behind the counter clearly lacking in customer service which was shocking. Virtually chucked the stuff on the tray, when asked for lids for a takeaway cup and something to carry them on it seemed too much trouble for her, she was not exactly rushed off her feet as there was only myself and one other customer at the counter. Also noted that she was not wearing a face covering even when she was on the customer side sorting out the sandwiches etc on display. Dreadful place .....Will not be returning and suggest some staff training takes place sooner rather than later

Was dumped by the front door and my coffee had tipped up and spilt everywhere. The coke zero i ordered was missing it was awful

Quite shocked at the standards, half of site closed so they didn't have to clean it again, 2 thirds of the half open covered in rubbish - 0 evidence of cleaning as you go, more worrying with the covid situation obviously now being ignored. The barrista then replaced a syrup pump uncleaned from a old bottle to a new one swapping the dates from bottle to bottle in clear view of customers, some retraining clearly required as this does not meet the 5 * eho rating on the door. Perhaps the person doing paperwork could have spent their time better in actually cleaning the customer facing/sitting areas?

A bit expensive, but lovely food

In a Sunday afternoon I was there with my partner and our 1-year old son. Two minutes after we paid for our order to be served in the cafe they asked us to leave because of some fault in the toilets. We suggested if we could sit outside and they said no because we have to shut the cafe. They even didn't offer to return my payment.

Very big queues every day coffee is good as everywhere

Went in for a drink early morning, wasn't busy at all. Got the wrong drink and when they eventually got the right drink they still missed simple things like the cream that was supposed to be on top. And didn't want to fix it

I was sent a sausage bap instead of a sausage roll. It also had burnt cheese on it which suggests the hit plate was not clean as was no cheese product in my order. Delivery was longer than expected as the order was accepted before a delivery driver was available.

Disappointed. Ordered iced coffees yesterday and were not told that they automatically come with sugar/syrup. By the time I walked back to apartment we tried them and threw them away.. we just don’t have sweet tooth’s. Went back this morning and explained to manager who just said it was policy to add - I’ve used lots of Costas and have never come across this. Manager did not apologise (made to feel I was wrong), did not offer complimentary drinks (not expected) and took time out of serving me and the queue to take 2 calls on his mobile. Guess I’m going to be a Starbucks convert . Have loved every Costa apart from this.

Sadly I order from Costa a lot, they get it wrong a lot, or the courier does. The mistake was that I only receive two dairy cool drinks, and I’d order 2x Caramel Frostino, a Strawberry Frostino and they were both delicious but had no cream and I’d asked for cream. I was missing another Caramel Frostino and 2 packets of potato chips. As this keeps happening I’m thinking of moving to Starbucks or Caffè Nero.

Not too busy. Service pretty good. Had opportunity to sit and chat for a while. Happier to use this city centre cafe in Covid restrictions than when it would have been packed pre Covid.

It was ok, I'm sorry but we have got use to niro now, but I like Costa Coffee with all this thing of the virus I am not to happy with it lots of people around and not to many seats for in doors.

me and my boyfriend had a very nice drink mmmmm yes i loved the white hot chocolate.

We popped in during lockdown after having to go to Bath to register the birth of our son. We had 30 mins left on the parking and thought it would be nice for our son to get some air. Stopped to get a coffee and the member of staff was so friendly. As it was so quiet in there we spent 15 mins just chatting. Felt good to have a normal conversation with a stranger

The staff didn’t wear mask or face visor when she was making my coffee (I understand many people cannot breathe well with masks on, but at least wearing a visor can prevent droplets getting into customers’ drink. Customers have to wear masks to get in the shop, but staff should also do the same, or wear visor instead of mask.) Also, she talked to her colleague whilst making my latte, which made it even easier to allow droplets to get into my drink. At last, she didn’t mix my latte and told me to mix it by myself. My friend who used to work Costa told me that they always mix coffee for customers. Plus the latte tastes meh. So I wouldn’t like to say it was a nice coffee experience. Shop is at a good location, next to the Cathedral and Roman Bath, easy for tourists. But the awareness of hygiene should be improved.

Not impressed by the covid measures. Staff making the drinks didn't wear mask. Apparently if behind the screen no mask is required. This doesn't make sense, as if the staff is infected, they could infect ALL the guest. Only positive note, after my complaint they cleaned the hole machine and remade my drink wearing a mask. Therefore 2 stars and not 1. But 0 stars to Costa policy.

Average. The flat white wasn't as silky as it should be. The servers were not that polite and couldn't hear their punters through the screens. The toilet was dirty. They had ran out of small cups. Other than that OK 👌

Absolutely awful. Started queuing at about 530 . Only one girl serving ( Morgan ) eventually got served and then a blond lady and tall guy appeared. When I told her what I would like she reminded me only 15 minutes to eat due to closing . Obviously would have been longer if more people actually serving ! Blond lady just went on cleaning counter behind ignoring the que . Apparently they have to do this due to COVID ! Let me tell yo that surface did not look as if it had been cleaned all afternoon! Quite what the boy was doing god only knows , but was very quick to harass us that we only had 2 minutes left !

Disappointed. Staff was more focused to shout and roll eyes at the clients (it didn't happened to myself) when they stepped outside the 2m dots. Also ordered a non dairy drink and received a dairy one which caused me a lot of distress later on. I believe more allergen and customer facing training is required.

Poor quality drinks not hot or made to specification ☹ . I had one of newlines nothing like what I've had the day before and no sweet 🤷‍♂️

This is the worst Costa I have ever been to. I lost my mask, they couldn't care less, very unhelpful. The cafe was full of horrible loud youngsters bellowing and guffawing loudly. The tea was nice as usual but there was no social distancing.

Went during highetened restrictions and very slow, unorganised service. Not as good as the one in kingsmead

A lovely little Costa here. The staff on the door were efficient at getting you seated in the small store. They were very helpful and friendly. The staff inside were also friendly and efficient. They kept the cafe clean and tidy, with good cleaning measures for the tables and the toilets. The food and drink was top notch as normal. Good social distancing measures are in place here.

Only one issue. Not all Customers entering the cafe wear face coverings. Seems to be pandemic with ALL Costa shops😢

Terrible y no seguro para visitar con la situación actual.Personal inútil.Clientes que no pagan haciendo cola para ir al baño hasta el final de la tienda y sin máscaras. Parados justo detrás de los clientes, se sentaron en puestos para comer y beber, y también bloquearon la pasarela hacia las mesas.Deben tener un miembro del personal en la puerta y los baños deben ser solo para clientes, o mejor aún, cerrar los baños con llave.Visitamos la cadena Costa probablemente en promedio 5 veces por semana y esto fue absolutamente impactante.Me pondré en contacto con el departamento de salud local.
