The Brew & Tattoo in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

I have been here four times now, its become a thing whenever we come to Newquay, tattoo before I go home. The staff are incredibly friendly and always chatting away when you're there. They make you feel like part of the family. It's clean, tidy, always smells so good woth the cakes and coffee, I always feel like I'm home when I go in.

I couldn't recommend this place more. I had a great experience at Brew & Tattoo from start to finish. I popped in on the final day of my holiday yesterday for a tattoo and ended up getting two!! The staff were extremely friendly and the lady who tattooed me was well experienced and took the time to discuss my tattoo and chat to me; I didn't feel like 'just another customer' like I have in the past at other places. The place was extremely clean and the tattoo room upstairs was sterile and smelt really clean. My husband waited downstairs and was offered a drink and my dog was given a treat while she kept an eye on the stairs for me coming back down. My tattoos are healing well and, even though they are still a little swollen, they look great and I love them! I will definitely visit again next time I'm in Newquay. Thank you Brew & Tattoo, a fab end to a fab holiday!!

We came to here today with our family for our 30th birthday and was extremely disappointed! Staff were very very rude, they have had no customer service training at all!! ID was refused for some of our party (for no reason). Very young girls in front of us didn’t even get their ID checked. Bare in mind we went with a group full of 30 year olds!! They had no idea how to handle a big party of people! I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone! Steer clear at all costs!!!

Friendly staff and good quality tattooing. My fiancé and I both got tattoos here. We had a good experience and plan to visit again next year.

Came for a holiday Piercing and decided to go with my lip which I have wanted for a while but wasn’t sure it would suit me. The studio is beautiful with a little caffe and outdoor seating area on the back my partner had a drink whilst I went for my piercing! The man who did it was amazing the studio was clean and the employees where all lovely and professional! Thankyou so much I love my new piercing and will be back next time we visit maybe for a tattoo!

Went in to get a piercing looked at as I had some trauma done to it earlier that day. I was welcomed in and this was sorted and new jewellery put in replace. Really recommend going here for a piercing or a tattoo as the staff are lovely and so friendly and are always there to help with any issues you have.

I visited quite some time ago now, but know that reviews are always helpful for not only customers, but the business also, With my mum being from Newquay and my family living there, we often go down to visit, this was the first time I had brought my boyfriend with me, and we both decided to get a tattoo, it was my first tattoo, and honestly, it's a shame we live so far because I don't think I'm going to be able to get my tattoos done anywhere else! Absolutely amazing service, lovely conversation with the lady who tattooed me, as well as the lady who tattooed my boyfriend, I am a very anxious person and they honestly made me feel so at ease with getting my first tattoo. The prices, may I say are incredible for the standard of the tattoos, and I am so glad that I decided on a whim to just go and get it done, especially here! it gave me such an amazing first experience of being tattooed that I cannot wait for my next one, so much so that I brought my mum in the next day to pay for her to get one for her birthday! I'd also like to note, that as somebody with autism, I do struggle with understanding instructions unless they are explained exactly to me, and was unsure about the amount of time I should leave the wrapping on my tattoo, upon returning very shortly after and asking for clarification, the staff member at the welcome area was incredibly kind in explaining to me what to do, something that you unfortunately don't see as much as you should, it really made my day. Again, I just want to thank everyone at the Brew and Tattoo for their impeccable service, and can't wait to return in the next few months for another one! (apologies for the essay of a review!)

We stopped in for a coffee and a little look at the tattoo walk in service. My husband was keen for a tattoo however there was no chat from the staff reference this or any artwork around the coffee shop to look at and discuss (this might be upstairs) but by the by nothing was mention, my husband was really excited to visit after doing some research & maybe it was because we had kids or we didn’t fit the look I’m not sure but we didn’t receive a warm welcome from the gentleman front of house. However we sat down and appreciated how nice it looked inside. We ordered a flat white (which my husband said was lovely) and a hot chocolate, my hot chocolate unfortunately was pretty awful, tasted like warm milk, I took this back and explained this to the same gentleman that saw us in who gave me a disapproving look and gave no apology. I asked for a cappuccino instead which was given to me lukewarm, again receiving no apology & to be honest this was not much better - but after the unfriendly reaction to my last moan I certainly wasn’t going to mention that! We drank up and got out of there. Honestly one of the most unfriendly places we’ve ever stopped of at for a drink.

What a lovely little walk in tattoo shop. Great tattoos to choice from if you just want a quirky tattoo ranging from 30 to 95 pound but they also do little custom ones aswell (would probably recommend you messaging them first for a custom) After liking the first one I had done so much I went back the following day and got another the line work is fantastic on both mine I would highly recommend to friends and family if they visit newquay even if they don't won't a tattoo these guys also do teas and coffees just to pop in and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere..

Went on a spare of the moment thing saw a tattoo o there flash board and I thought yep that's hilarious so I walk in and 10 minutes later walked out with a hilarious tattoo that makes me laugh everytime I see it. Can't remember the name of the woman who tattooed me but she had 99 tattooed on her neck

Absolutely perfect experience. Was a very last minute decision for me and my partner to get new tattoos, but the first one was so good we went back for another! Everyone was so lovely, it had a cool rustic theme to it, and Ally did the best job for both of us!! Will 100% go back if we come back to cornwall

Firstly, what a fantastic business idea! I came here during Boardmasters festival to get my first ever tattoo. The decoration sets a really artsy, welcoming vibe to the place. My only concern was when one of the tattoo artists told me "it was all in my head" when I felt faint. In all fairness to them, I am a bit of a wimp, but I also have incredibly low blood pressure. However, it was completely made up by one of the staff members downstairs who gifted me some sweets to help with my blood sugar levels. He also was so friendly and helpful and really made the experience for me and my friends - an asset to this business.

Fantastic cocktails. Great choice and not just the usual offerings. Really friendly and knowledgeable, attentive staff. Chilled and relaxed atmosphere with nice touches such as being offered table water and olives. Will definitely visit again and would recommend to cocktail lovers.

I phoned up looking for help and advice after having a dodgy peircing in a different location. I was in desperate need of help to remove the peircing due to inflammation and pain. After a five minute phone call ( me crying ) Hannah one of the staff members passed me on to just the man to speak too who guided me through what he thought might be wrong about the peircing and how he could help.His name was Adie and quite frankly was the coolest cucumber about the whole thing-saw me within the hour, got the peircing out, cleaned me up and sent me away... but only after he explained how and why it had got effected and reassured me 100% that this wouldn't normally happen if it was done properley !! The kindest people who were willing to do anything to help me when I really needed it and asked for nothing in return. Cannot thankyou enough for sorting me out. If your going to get a peircing then this is without a doubt the number one man to see, he's bloody brilliant :) what a lush place x

We popped in on the off chance after walking past and seeing they did walk in tattoos, we were on holiday in the area and both wanted a little permanent souvenir. We ended up booking a tattoo for a few days later, and the staff were so helpful on Facebook after we booked to answer any questions! On the day of the tattoo we turned up and filled in a few forms, and met Amber who would be doing our tattoos. The whole place was arranged in a "covid friendly" way and it was spotless. Amber was lovely and made sure we were comfortable, we would definitely recommend Brew & Tattoo to anyone who's either wanting a wee drink or a tattoo! Thanks again guys :)

Popped in today for my 10 year old have her ears pierced for the first time. The staff were so friendly, we had a drink first and I think that really helped my daughters nerves, having such a chilled atmosphere to settle into. Adrian explained everything to us both and we signed all the relevant safety forms. The place was well set up for covid regulations too. The studio was so clean. There were even haribos for afterwards! A lovely first piercing experience for my daughter and all round very impressed with the brew and tattoo. Thank you so much!

A little gem in Newquay. Called In for a quick pint (2x 1/2’s) of bearded brewery’s finest. Cracking place & Grace was delightfully charming, also dog friendly. We will be back !!!

My husband & I visited whilst on a week holiday celebrating our wedding anniversary. We ventured to Newquay for the day and stumbled across this place! We saw it from across the street and almost immediately without saying a word were running across the street! What a concept! We went in and were greeted by 2 lovely ladies at the bar and ordered some coffees. We sat down and they were brought over.... with a jar of broken biscuits! We loved that little touch! We drank our coffees and pondered the rest of our day and where to go etc. I had spotted the price list on the wall for walk in tattoos and also for piercings. We talked about my idea to get my nose re-pierced and decided to think about it and had a look around the rest of the shops nearby. We soon came back and were recognised and greeted again by the same lovely ladies. We enquired about piercings and that was it, off I went to get my piercing. Everyone here is very welcoming. The decor is absolutely fantastic. The coffee was delicious with the really lovely little jar of broken biscuits. Upstairs is the tattoo and piercings bit, also really nicely done! Very impressed with this visit. Thanks you lovely bunch of wonderful people! Wish we lived closer.

This has to be one of the most friendly and welcoming places I've been to. Forget whether it's a tattoo studio or whether it's a coffee shop. It's irrelevant in terms of customer service. Basically, they've nailed it.The coffee is fantastic and the service friendly and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble. If you want a relaxed cuppa, you can't go wrong.Now if you want a tattoo.... It's even better. I cannot praise Amber and Laura enough. Between them, you end up feeling like the most important person in the world. They advise you, consult with you and, again, deliver customer service that you would be hard pressed to find in any other customer facing business.Do yourselves a favour and just pop in. You will not regret it.This is a truly outstanding business.

We came down to Newquay with some friends in July for a week and had a great time. We wanted something memorable to remind us of our fantastic week so we decided to get a tattoo or a piercing (like you do!).I had a daith piercing and had a swarovski crystal heart put in this. My wife had a small wave tattoo done on her arm.It is the least painful piercing I have ever had done. It healed really well and I have not had any problems with it at all. Great aftercare advice and a lovely team of people working there.I would highly recommend. It is always a bit risky trying to find a trustworthy tattooist or piercing studio but these guys were amazing.We will definitely visit again if we return. 5* service!

The girls in here are brill, nice polite and you can have a laugh with. On leaving my partner left a bag their, one of the girls came running up afterwards with it “to which we were very great-full for, you can’t beat a service like that.”You must try their cakes....awsome..... will deffo recommend and return. I’d like to say I just ‘popped in’ for a walk-in tattoo but in reality I had spotted the wave designs last year and knew I had to pop back this year. A year of waiting and I was not disappointed - such a friendly place the front of house team were super helpful and Amber was highly skilled both at aligning the tattoo and putting me at ease. Highly recommended - will be back for coffee and cake along with another tattoo next year...

Popped in on the first day of our holiday, to ask about the availability of the advertised walk in tattoos. Met with friendly faces, and absolutely love my new tattoo which was indeed a walk in! We returned a few days later to have a coffee as we knew the atmosphere was so good, and were greeted like old friends. Came out with a hoody, sticker for our vehicle and lanyards, which you can buy. Shame not closer to home!!!

Die guten Bewertungen bei TripAdvisor sind absolut gerechtfertigt. Die Mädels waren super freundlich, man hat sich gleich gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Mein Tattoo ist nur mini klein geworden, aber ich habe einiges an großen Pieces gesehen, und die können ihren Job! Würde es sofort nochmal machen!

We sought shelter from the rain in here and found ourselves not wanting to leave. The service was extremely friendly and welcoming and the staff were excellent with our little boy, giving high fives, biscuits and change for the arcades!! Definitely above and beyond. Coffees all round (baby chino too) alongside the best brownie we have ever tasted! No tattoos or piercings this day just genuinely friendly people with a great little spot, thank you.

I've been a regular customer to this establishment for over a year now and feel like it's a 2nd home. From the first day I stepped foot in the door the staff were so welcoming and made made me feel great about my visit.

I have visited the shop a few times for two little walk in tattoos (both excellent) and have recently had 3 of my existing tattoos touched up and enhanced by the wonderful team here. I've never felt more comfortable in a tattoo shop and can highly recommend it as their work is phenomenal! They serve brilliant coffee too and I will definitely be returning for future tattoos!!

The Brew and Tattoo is one of the friendliest atmospheres I have ever visited for piercing! I have visited here twice after having a dodgy piercing at another piercing studio. Adie helped me change the jewellery and fix my piercing, making me feel at ease and comfortable through every stage.

Finally decided to pop in after walking past every weekend. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming. I got a small flash done by Laura and she couldn't have done a better job, I love it! Will definitely be stopping by again for their delicious coffee and maybe another tattoo or two!

I went to The Brew & Tattoo for my first tattoo & wad made to feel very relaxed by the lovely staff that work there! Teas, Coffees & cakes downstairs are always served with a smile & good service! It has an edgy vibe, different to anything else in Newquay & is definitely worth a visit or two!

I love the brew and tattoo! Have been here a few times for a drink and it’s always amazing. It is decorated so well which gives it such a welcoming vibe when you walk through the door, the seats are very comfortable and drinks well priced for the size and quality! Hannah who works downstairs is always very easy to chat to and makes you feel at home, as well at the others whenever they pop down from upstairs! Definitely somewhere to visit whenever in Newquay.

Incredible service and reassurance from both Amber and her colleague in this uber cool little find! Finally popped in after walking past three times and plucked up the courage to get my first sneaky little bit of ink! And I love it :). My friend and I both chose a tattoo option from the walk in designs displayed outside and we were fitted in straight away. Everything was spotlessly clean and my first-timer nerves were immediately put at ease. We both completed the necessary paperwork and talked through our choices with Amber. She advised on placement and showed me how it would look on the skin with a stencil. I went first and absolutely love my new bit of art! My buddy is equally thrilled and we can’t stop admiring our new additions. Although we didn’t stop to try any of the fantastically gory (it was nearly Halloween!) cakes, they seemed to be going down nicely with the other customers. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, and particularly virgins like me. Thank you ladies :) xx

Was in Newquay for a week and my wife decided on spec to have a tattoo done, talked about it for a while but this sort of came out of the blue, lovely lady done the tattoo,nice guy gave us advice, prompt service, nice brew too,and the Parrot well! Nice quirky touches,well done guy's.

As a surfer I get drawn to Newquay, to visit the surf shops and grab supplies but the town can get a little rammed in the summer months so it’s good to find a sanctuary that serves great coffee. The Brew and Tattoo does just that and in a comfortable and welcoming setting, the service is great as are the little jars of broken biscuits (lots of childhood favourites), the tunes are first class and you can relax and unwind before stepping back out into the throng.

Cakes were amazing, very generous slice. Gorgeous coffee. Very welcoming with our children. Well priced. Definitely visit again.

Coffee for me. Tattoo for her. Amazing place and ambiance. Coffee is to die for. Cow shaped milk jug is cool. Broken biscuit jar is a brilliant touch. Cheap too!!

We walked in as a spur of the moment thing after seeing the tattoo we wanted on their walk in designs, I’m so glad we did! They’re so lovely! 5 of us got a tattoo and 3 a coffee and cake. And we all enjoyed the experience.

Been meaning to try this place for ages and finally did over the weekend. It has a really nice atmosphere and the owner was more than happy to make us an iced coffee which wasn't on the menu. The coffee is really good here, my philosophy with coffee is that I know it's good when it doesn't need sugar and this one certainly didn't!

Brilliant coffee, great atmosphere and Uber cool decor... no art though that’s for them to wear! Awesome music and they make a mean cappuccino. Will definitely be back soon.

So glad that we decided to have a coffee and cake at The Brew and Tattoo. Really chilled place and we'll decked out. Owner was super friendly and very attentive. Coffee was really good and tasty cakes. We all loved the broken biscuits which were such a great touch. Deffo go again when in Newquay.

Got some shelter today here from the snow and the best from the east storm! I love my coffee and they didn’t disappoint, served to my favourite temperature also (ie. good to drink straight away and not burning my mouth!).

This cafe was recommended by a fellow dog walker as being dog friendly. It certainly was with pooch being entertained with toys and a dog biscuit.
