Okay hotel in a central location with helpful staff, especially Daniel who upgraded my room to one with a nicer view on check in. Only slight gripe is that the room was a little dirty and the key cards did not work too well requiring multiple attempts to open the door or a trip down to reception to resolve. Also parking was expensive but I guess that's to be expected in a city centre location.

In a great location at the heart of the city, the hotel is within 10 minutes walk of almost everywhere you'd need to go. The rate, with breakfast, was great value and the breakfast was lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful. Recommended.

Recently booked a stay at this hotel. The service, hospitality and helpfulness of Rukhsana, Naim and Zohaib was an absolute pleasure to witness and experience. Have to say nothing was too much trouble for them and they are a true asset to the organisation. The hotel location itself is excellent if you need to be based in the city centre, rooms were clean and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend. Thank you all.

Hotel and room distinctly average. Cracked glass on outer window in room. Air con only pumping out hot air so no way to cool the room or clear the steam from the shower. I had the Chicken Caesar Salad last night, too much dressing and was too vinegar heavy for my taste. Matt was great as front of house in the restaurant. Good location.

Location is fabulous. Hotel is dated and few things didn't work properly. Door keys (cards) created constant problems. We had to run to reception numerous times to get them exchanged as we couldn't open doors. Bar didn't offer proper glasses for specific drinks. No fan in bathrooms (very steamy after showers). Staff very welcoming and lovely!!!

0. Upon checking in no one mentioned the room would be extremely warm with no controls in the room, not even a fan! 1. Room was extraordinarily warm on arrival. In hindsight I should have asked for a room with air circulating to cool it down. 2. Window was already open a jar but made no difference as wasn’t flowing 3. No heating controls in room and near a busy (warm) lift shaft 4. Requested a fan at reception but never arrived By the time I left with very little sleep, with a wet towel over my feet to try and reduce my temperature and several cold showers I had “cankles” where my feet had swollen in the heat. Awful experience but air conditioning was on floor 3 with the beautiful views. Shame it never made its way into my sauna of a room. I hated my stay despite the cleanliness.

We had a problem with the bathroom door, it would not close after we called the reseption they were going to fix it and took the handle of the bathroom door. We were without a handle for 2 days since they didnt fix it. The tap in the bathroom also leaked all the time. And when we showered the water leaked out which we also complained several times about. My daugter called from Norway that we had a 50th anniversary and they were going to give a nice room which it was not, and she called again and complained where Ellie said they were going to upgrade to a suite to make up for it, but when we came back to the hotel in the evning and there was a male receptionist names Daniel he would not belive us and refused. Ellie said she was going to forward this message to her colleges but Daniel refused. We also asked for slippers but they also refused to this. There were also no necesissities in the bathroom, the box of tissue paper got finished and was never refilled until we asked several times several days later. And the internet was really poor. Overall our stay was really bad experience and would not reccomend. Did not feel like a 4 star hotel at all. I use cpap machine and asked for an extention cord and Daniel said i dont have, you can go ans buy. What kind of service is this. No switch near the nighttables either. A part of the window is open and it wouldnt close which means we could hear all the noise from the tram and traffic and people outside. The roomnr was 818.

I checked into the hotel but my promised upgrade to Privilege Rooms were not available to me. I found out was given 5 Classic Rooms only after getting the keycard to the rooms. I have had emails and phone calls to confirm this upgraded reservation yet the hotel has failed to uphold their promise. The reception in the hotel said there are no Privilege Rooms available at all to give me. How can this be possible when the reservation has been confirmed? Please read through all my emails from the beginning when I spoke to Amal on the phone till the last communication with John. The heating or aircon is non existence. The phone does not work and cannot speak to reception without having to go down. many TV channels has no signal. The WiFi is absolutely horrendous unless you go into the toilet. The USB charging port by the bedside lamp does not work at all and you have to charge away from your bed. I am extremely disappointed. Please advise why was my reservation not honoured.

I was so busy because there was a big match between the Spanish team and Manchester, but thank you for treating me well. Fahira who speaks Korean well ~♡ intelligent and also so sweet staff. I miss you. (Do you know Fahira? Huh? Uh? Uh! You are really the best. I'm so sad that I couldn't say hello on the last day.) The view from the restaurant is also great at Manchester Mercure Hotel. I plan to visit again when I go to Manchester.

Horrific stay - permanently noisy with trams and horns and people - old tattered grubby room with no hairdryer and only enough towels for one person - kettle didn't work - hair in sheets - filthy windows - tiny room and tiny bed with grubby old bathroom with cold shower - ZERO WIFI - we paid £138 for one night with no breakfast - what a scam - I'd never recommend staying here!!

Do not expect anything special. No phone in room for reception, no room service, no power outlets, no plug in bath. Decor cheap - old wall paper and tiles painted over and scuffed. Pillows were terrible and caused us to barely sleep. Cleanliness ok. Location ok but total entry level hotel as far as features go. The soap smelled nice in the bathroom but other than that I can’t think of anything to give for a positive entry.

Stayed for two nights, work related. Room at first glance looked nice but once settled in noticed staining on walls and carpets what was worse was the number of moths flying around in the room. It was so bad I ended up bagging all my clothes just in the event I brought anything home. Staff on reception quite dismissive. Given I was staying without the familiy and not in the room much I did not persue further. I would not stay here again. Good location let down by tired infested room. Lifts also really, really slow.

The staff at Mercure Piccadilly Manchester were without exception excellent. Always attentive and helpful - nothing was too much trouble In particular Kay on breakfast check in. I noticed that he always engaged with guests as soon as they were in his eyeline. That’s even before they entered the dining room. Also Thomas - each time we met him always friendly and helpful. These are high value staff doing an excellent job In fairness so are all the others we met but didn’t catch their names. Service was just excellent from all of them Thank you

I originally changed rooms due to a broken bed… but not only did that toilet have skid marks in it but the next one had faeces in it along with an unhygienic toilet seat. Hair in the bed. I visited your restaurant on Thursday 01/05/2025 with a family member and unfortunately had a disappointing experience that I feel needs to be adessed We ordered a couple of teas and pastries. While we were waiting for our order, we observed the same waitress who served us speaking to a nearby customer in a very calm and polite manner, asking, “How was your meal? I hope you enjoyed it. Is there anything else I can get you?” By contrast, her approach with us felt cold and unwelcoming, as though we weren’t wanted there. After pouring the tea, I took a few sips and then noticed a blonde hair in the cup. I immediately felt sick to my stomach. Although there was still tea left in the pot, I couldn’t continue drinking it. When I raised this with the waitress, she looked embarrassed and she apologised. I then asked for the tea to be changed, she initially agreed to replace the but then said all the other teapots would likely have the same issue. She claimed the hair was actually a bristle from a dish-cleaning brush, but it was clearly a piece of blonde hair much finer than a bristle, which tends to be thicker and more rigid. It felt as though she was trying to downplay the situation and make it seem like I was overreacting, which I found quite dismissive. THIS IS extremely concerning from a hygiene and safety perspective. I had also asked for the tea to be strong, and she added an extra teabag, presenting it as a favour. However, when the bill arrived, I was charged for it, something that was never mentioned and came across as misleading. All in all, the service, the hygiene, and the overall attitude were unacceptable!!!

Came with a friend for an evening meal. After seeing much online about this restaurant we were excited to attend. It was very quiet for a Friday night - the booking system on their website was a little peculiar as it didn't let me book until around a week before the date, before this it appeared as if it was all booked up. When we walked in the staff were friendly and chatty and this great service continued throughout the evening. We saw the focaccia being prepared as we walked past which looked delicious. The food choice was limited, but what we did have was delicious - the panisse was a particular stand out. We enjoyed a bottle of wine and a lovely evening overall.

Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience. I booked a private dinner through the event manager, but communication was poor and very little information was provided. The photos shown beforehand were completely different from the actual space. When we arrived, the staff had no idea that an event was even scheduled. The table was empty—no decorations, no setup, nothing to suggest a special occasion. For the price paid, this was extremely underwhelming. I wouldn’t recommend this place for private events based on this experience.

1/5 Overall 1/5 for ambience. Dining area’s cleanness not matching up to this pricing. Flyings are everywhere 1/5 for service 4/5 for food: portion overall could be improved / beef veal taste is not good: too sour. Else are fine 1/5 for mocktails. Overpriced for food/service and dining environment. For this price you can really get happier experiences and better food elsewhere.

Do not under any circumstances get the loaded fries, total rip off. Literally just regular fries but soggy with cheap bbq sauce and a couple bits of chicken popcorn. Total waste of money. Everything else is decent but over priced. Can get basically the same thing from Dixy’s for way cheaper and peri salt.
