Service too slow worse than turtle . Been there many times i used to like aubaine so much but this time went in after ages , couldn’t believe how everything is downgraded. Went in to eat and drink . But ordered only coffee which was lukewarm , clearly said extra hot but didn’t met my expectation and paid bill that’s it .. will think twice next time if I ever wanted to go.

Service was incredibly slow. Waitress was oblivious and I had to continuously flag her down for a refill on water and request the check. The food was also expensive for the taste. I would not recommend this place

I arrived around 4:15pm and was seated right away across from a wisteria covered wall. I ordered a matcha latte and the ricotta bruschetta. The bruschetta was 3 small pieces, but very delicious. The matcha latte was fine, but I personally prefer a lighter sweetness than what they provided. Great ambiance and good place to stop in after a shopping trip but probably not worthwhile to go out of your way to visit like I did.

Not sure why this place has average ratings. The (slightly) slow service aside, I thought the food was pretty good (no, they’re not authentic French, but they don’t claim to be). Beef filet was cooked to perfection (medium rare). The pommes pailles (ie potato chips) that it came with were so delicious and crunchy you don’t even need to order a side with this dish! Lobster spaghetti’s sauce was pretty good too. “If” you like the texture of octopus, then would definitely recommend it as a first course. Cute decor, nice staff, just a little slow service. My latte, the bill, etc took a while to arrive.

Food was good, service was not! Ample room in the restaurant, but due to us being a two, we were sat in a row of two pax tables that were so close together we could here the people next to us eat!! Pretty grim .. The greeter clearly didnt like her job ..Or maybe us!!!

Great place and excellent service

The quality of food was terrible. The cooking was also really bad. I’ve been twice as I thought I’d give it another chance. The first time I ordered scrambled eggs, they were curdled. I sent it back and they sent the same dish back out, just cooked a little more. The second time I went I ordered a wagyu steak sando. The steak was so chewy and overcooked and the truffle was slimey. The restaurant was empty apart from one other table but service was so slow and both tables had plates of food that we were finished with sat on our table for ages without any waiter coming over (there were 3 working. The food made me feel sick.

The place is beautiful and has a wonderful view of the street. The food is delicious. The staff was nice. I ordered beef steak, which was not worth its value. It was too browned. I asked for flat steak, but the top layer was close to black in color.

Visited Aubaine Selfridges last Christmas for the Jo Malone collaboration menu. The creatively curated dishes provided a mesmerizing experience with nice presentation! The interior décor, especially the window seat bathed in natural light and purple cane flowers, transported me to a magical place. While it leans towards the pricier side, it's a great option for a special lunch or brunch, offering a unique dining experience.

Main course was good. Desert and coffee was poor. Desert service, poor. I collected the coffee myself from counter, as the 2 male assistants were too busy talking to each other to bring it to the table. The coffee was luke warm by this time. The mille-feuille was not tasty. When I explained this to the male assistant, he looked at my plate and rudely referred to how much I'd eaten. The bill had a service charge of £12.02 which I wanted to be refunded, but was not given the option.

Service was very poor, we waited far to long.

International Restaurant, to be honest, is very, very ordinary I expected great tasting dishes compared to its location in Silverdiggs. The place and decor are beautiful But the important thing is that the taste is very normal Our request: A very, very ordinary salad Spaghetti with lobster has a strange taste that overshadows the taste of lobster Regular sweet potato Medium wagyu burger Even lemon mint juice is acidity unbalanced In general, I do not visit again

Just popped in at 11:39am for a quick coffee. Many tables available but fairly busy. I was refused entry by Mariana purely for the fact that I was by myself and also I said I’ll have coffee? I could have been in and out but felt VERY discriminated by the fact that I was by myself. Never setting foot in there again. Disgraceful AUBAINE. It left a bad taste in my head.

My friend and I both got diarrhea after the dinner here. And waited extremely long for the main course.

Super Service. Angenehmes Ambiente & leckeres Essen. Die Pasta mit Steinpilzen und Trüffel ist sehr empfehlenswert. Auch der gebackene Lachs war sehr lecker. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

After a few hours of shopping, I decided to have dinner at Selfridges. After going back and forth between their outstanding restaurants, I decided to try the Aubaine. The previous reviews helped. Upon arrival, I received a great welcome from Manager Max. He noticed the amount of shopping bags I had, and he gave me a comfortable seat. The food is delicious. It’s a five-star restaurant. However, what was memorable for me is the kindness and the customer service skills Max has. He’s kind and gives a lot of care and attention to all his customers. He takes time to talk to us and ask how everything is. The Aubaine is on my top list of restaurants in London. I started with the Burratta, and next, I got the sea bass. To end the night, I had a decadent crème brûlée. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Hey, I ate at the selfridges Aubaine. I have never experienced such horrible service and bad attitude of a waiter. I have very rarely had issues with someone at a restaurant before so I know it’s most likely not me but at this restaurant I started feeling very ill all of a sudden so I couldn’t eat my food. I wanted to take it away but I guess it’s not allowed. A man that works there called Ben came to me with the worst attitude I have ever seen, couldn’t wait one second for me to answer and scream “OK you’re not going to listen” while I was feeling extremely sick which is why I couldn’t answer. I didn’t even touch my salad and it was around 25 pounds with the extra I added so I felt bad paying for it and not being able to eat it since It is money I earned and decided to treat myself to a lunch out. This man Ben told me I could just stay here all day if I wanted to eat the salad. So rude, I felt so sad afterwards it ruined my day besides already feeling ill. Will share this on google as well and as much as I can to know how unfairly and bad clients are being treated in this place. Since I’ve never had a bad experience at a restaurant I never send these kinds of emails or write a review but this time I just had to.

The goat salad is the freshest ✅ and we tried to eat the mixed sweet nothing fancy mediocre

Breakfast was fantastic. Loved the brioche french toast although it was a bit too sweet and would recommend having the syrup on the side rather than having it served with it already poured on top. Orange juice was nice and fresh. Service was a bit slow and they were a bit overwhelmed and confused, could use some improvement there. Other than that, great!

Food is ok; I came 3 times for the scrambled eggs with truffles. Every time the eggs was cooked differently and came in warm not hot!!

Very nice option for brunch on the second floor of Selfridges, tucked away behind the shoe galleries. The wisteria and light & airy decor are very attractive; plenty of posts of this place on Instagram! Service was friendly & attentive and the food was good. Quite pricey, as you would expect for Selfridges, but a good experience.

The starters are really tasty, be it the Tuna Niçoise Salad, the fried Calamari or the soft Shell Crab, yet the Main Dish was not as good as the starters. I tried the Assiette of Lamb and the Beef Filet… they were both lacking something… A restaurant worth trying, especially that the service is up to standards while the Atmosphere and Music were nice.

Edit 5/6/2023 I tried the lobster Salad today but I couldn’t eat it the lobster had a very very bad smell also the caviar on top was not good at all and I told the waiter but he was acting like I’m imagining it and he charged me for it I was so disappointed ..

Great place! The team has made our day! Even though we arrived late for breakfast, They still took our orders, and provided excellent service. They were all so lovely, the food was amazing and place stunning.

Service was prompt. Food was excellent. Pizza was crisp with yummy aubergine topping. Rocket and parmesan cheese salad was brilliant.

A nice place for a weekday / work lunch, and being tucked away behind the shoe section on the second floor of Selfridges, it wasn’t too busy nor noisy. I really love the menu, which has a good range of great healthy options, and superfood salads, as well as mains, cocktails etc. One waiter seemed very pushy at first, in trying to upsell the alcoholic drinks and cocktail menu, when we were just in for a low-key team lunch and we weren’t up for drinking. My colleagues ordered the chicken superfood salads, and I had the swordfish. Presentation was beautiful, the ingredients tasted very fresh and it was excellent meal. We ordered plenty of chips, tenderstem broccoli, and the avocado side dish too, and even they came really nicely presented and delicious too! There was quite a delay from when my colleagues were served their salads to when I got my swordfish - about 5 mins. The staff were really apologetic though and offered a complimentary drink or pudding to make up for it. These things happen, however, overall the service did feel quite slow - even getting our drinks, as well as other people who ordered after us were served before us.

I used to be a frequent customer when I was still living in the UK, and have always had a good time at the restaurant. I visited the restaurant again on the 26th of April at about ten to 9pm and after experiencing disgusting racist behaviour from the staff there, where I was blatantly ignored despite having been waiting to be seated for awhile and having someone who came after me seated almost seconds after she stood there and before me. Based off this experience I don’t think I will be visiting again. Shame really.

Terrible service and the food is too overpriced, probably because it is located in selfridges, but that doesn’t justified the way you charged on your food. The taste of both food was beyond average.. absolutely disappointing for a lobster spaghetti and it cost £36 for such portion. The risotto taste nothing like a proper Italian risotto, costing £18 as a starter. And the service… please as a customer we are already disappointed by the food we do not expect such bad hospitality from you. Please avoid this place if possible. There are quite a few decent restaurant around the area.

Tourists Beware! The waitress charged the card machine a completely different price to what was on the bill. Luckily we discovered the scam when we said yes when asked if we wanted a card receipt. The manager blamed it a "technical glitch" but I highly suspect this was intentional.

The place was empty and we wanted to sit have drinks and give my wife a chance to breastfeed as had 2 kids with us. Apparently you have to order food to come in and we had lunch reservations in an hour so didn’t want to eat. 🤷🏻‍♂️ very antiquated decor and culture much nicer places and staff on Oxford street and Selfridges

If you’re a bigger party then it’s advisable to book ahead of your arrival or call ahead otherwise you may be turned away as it is not very big for space.

Excellent bistro. The location within Selfridges is superb and seems to be quiter than the basement cafe. The service is fast and friendly. We had the wagyu sando and lobster spaghetti. Both dishes were presented beautifully, the flavours rich and exquisite. The wagyu was a fried steak done perfectly with the truffle giving it depth. Well worth a visit and easy to get a table.

A bit pricey but delicious. The pear tart was very well done, one of the best I had. The millefeuille was light and crisp.

Enjoyed! It's been over 15 years since I last popped into Selfridges. 10 times more crowded, but I did love it. So, as I said, it's been a while. By chance, amongst all the mayhem, I spotted Aubaine. The service was nice. Greeted on entry and shown to a vacant table. Ordering was quick, and surprisingly so was the delivery of my all-important (large) glass of Kaiken Clásico Mendoza Malbec. It was nice. On this occasion, I felt it was too late for a starter, and simply wanted something filling. So opted for the Wagyu burger. It's the first burger I've been able to eat, without it falling apart. The tomato and iceberg lettuce was nice and fresh, and the mustard mayo complemented the whole dish. So hopefully I'll be back to enjoy their Lobster spaghetti and enjoy a glass or two of Kaiken Clásico Mendoza Malbec. Thank you to team Aubaine Selfridges

Superb. The interior is sweet, as you can see in everyone's pictures. The service is wonderful, the staff is very attentive, kind and understanding. The food is good, and they are open to feedback. They gave good recommendations. They have their own toilets, which is nice since the Selfridges' ladies' room had a big que. Would definitely recommend it. I went there on Boxing Day, alone, and they really made me feel seen and taken care of.

The Waygu burger was so juicy, and the chips hot and crispy. Mocktails, especially the one with a piece of ginger on top, was delicious. I wanted more, but at £12 a glass, i stopped at one. The staff were super friendly. They accommodated us without a fuss when I was running late and missed the original booking time. My sister had crab, which she really enjoyed. She also had a chocolatey dessert called 'noel' something. Customers looked so relaxed, the atmosphere was good too. This place is for everyone, I was surprised with the quality of the food

Went to Aubaine to take a break from shopping at Selfridges. My feet were killing me! I am on a vegan diet and I was rather disappointed with the limited choices. I had two, a super food salad and the oyster mushroom with pasta. I decided to be more adventurous and went for the mushrooms. I wasn’t disappointed, this was a gorgeous dish. Hats off to the chef for this 🙌🏽. The mushrooms were cooked to perfection and well seasoned and I admit I had never had pasta that looks like giant quinoa…delicious! Anyway, the letdown for me was that I felt there could have been another vegan option beside the salad. Also, when I was given the dessert menu and they had nothing vegan on there (and don’t tell me I should have asked about sorbet, I am tired of being offered sorbet for dessert all the time 🫤). I have just checked out the website it looks like there is a veganuary menu that has a chocolate brownie on there so I should probably try that next month . I have checked the breakfast and it’s the same story not much vegan options. Sometimes it’s just about swapping ingredients, replacing regular yogurt with a non dairy yogurt in the granola for example. A part from that the venue is great, staff was friendly and efficient.I will check the menu from time to time to see if there are more vegan options and go back for sure!

Its a tourist trap in Selfridges. Very poor, rude service. Lobsters they are using are frozen and very cheap if they not fake lobsters. They dont have many option’s available on the menu. Low quality food and service. Totally a rip off.

Food was amazing, decided to go with the Chicken Supreme and it was brilliant. Well-cooked food with high attention to detail. The atmosphere was lovely and the decor was stunning. A great place to eat and escape the city rush. Shout-out to Luke for the brilliant service, made the experience even better!

Loved this place! Truffle pasta and the burger were very well cooked. The atmosphere was christmasy festive and cozy. It was a really pleasant lunch, thanks to the staff.

Nice place to have a quick lunch while in Selfridges. Drinks were great, especially the winter special cocktails, like mulled wine and Snowball. The food was nice, I think the mushroom dish was too salty, but otherwise there was nothing to complain about. However, during the one hour we spent there our bread basket was "thrown" hastily on the table; the server put a full glass with a cocktail on the edges of two tables that were put together, that were visibly uneven in height (instead of coming around and putting it near me on the flat surface), which resulted in it falling (I caught it, if it was spilled all over me this review would be 0); when the server was picking up our empty starter plates they dropped the knifes on the table, which resulted in another glass tipping over and spilling on the table and when they were picking up the empty lobster pasta plates they decided to shake the cutlery above our heads for reasons unknown to me, which has resulted in the sauce dripping directly on our shirts and phones that were on our table. I was honestly shocked, but the worst thing is that the server was completely oblivious to it, they didn't even bat an eye and didn't apologise, like it was totally normal. To be fair it was not our main server, but the person who was picking up dirty dishes. But now I have to go to dry cleaning.

Went only for desserts and hot drinks. Nice interior, tasty hot chocolate and mille-feuille. Ordered the carrot cake but it was salty which was an unpleasant surprise. Told the manager (didn’t catch his name) and he immediately changed it without any problem

Overpriced fare served in a noisy space by indifferent service. The most painful part of the meal was having to overhear loud, obnoxious, annoyingly entitled and self-absorbed patrons complain dramatically about their daily trials. People with no sense of perspective will feel at home.

The food was ok, but the staff extremely slow and rude. Customers needed to chase staff to be served. Overall experience very poor. Avoid this place

I really like the aubaine at Selfridges! Maybe one of my more favourite ones because the ambience is quiet, stylish. Of course the food is very good too. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the coffee here was.. a perfect américano with crema (most places don’t get it right as it is very traditional Italian style). Will be back!

Absolutely amazing! This place is not only gorgeous, the food and service was equally amazing. The eggs Benedict had the best hollandaise sauce my partner has ever had(and he had eggs bene many times...). We had a special occasion so we ordered mimosas and Westley even topped us up with some more bubbles for free. Great service, thanks so much! Couldn't be a better breakfast spot.

The food was good , the service was average, the menu varieties are acceptable, some items are limited , they ran out of some of the choices so we had to change the order , staff are impatient with customers, you feel you are rushed and before you open your mouth , they just dump you and disappear. Not as expected, it was much better in the past when I visited this restaurant, service was adequate and staff were helpful.

Such a fabulous meal! Our server SAHIL was beyond helpful, he was extremely knowledgeable and was able to help us with great gluten free options and ensured everything was perfect.

Amazing food with a good location at Selfridges this place is the best place in the whole of oxford street. If you want good food this is the place for you. We had the truffle scrambled eggs - which was extremely fancy!

The truffle fries were delicious and the service was friendly. There was a lot of really rich sauce in the lobster spaghetti which made it hard to finish. They cooked the meat medium rare instead of medium but overall okay.

Wisteria is fake, service is trash, and this whole cafe is a bait. It took 45 minutes for a waiter to come take our order and give us water only to find out we were given the wrong menu from last year. There is only one small area with the flowers which has been closed off due to low staffing.

Found the place to be a little hyped. The selling point is the interior and it is only in one half of the restaurant and not necessarily you will be placed in that area.. so you might be disappointed. Making reservations and asking for the specific table might help. The food tastes good but with limited menu and very few options for vegetarians it becomes a bit difficult to make a good choice. Though what we ordered tasted good. The place is definitely pricey.... 30 to 50 pounds on average per person.

On arrival the waitress showed us to a table that was located in the middle of the restaurant. when we asked politely for a window table we where told it’s closed when there was customers already seated . Soon after we received our food there was a white hair in my guest food I was mortified what really did the damage was soon after seated the waitress seated four people in the area she had said was closed. Waited the whole time for our orange juice that was never served was so disappointed just wanted to leave will not bring any international friends here again for a bad experience.

We came here for the ambience, but we’re also pleasantly surprised by the quality of food. It’s so busy though! You have to walk through the bustling department store to then get to the restaurant entrance which usually has a line. Always book in advance! The service was fast and professional, but they turn over so many tables that they don’t have time to be very warm or take extra time with customers, but it should be noted that they do try!
