We enjoyed a delightful lunch at 63 Degrees. This is a really exceptional restaurant. Although it could seem to be a somewhat intimidating establishment the chef and front of house are warm, welcoming and so passionate. The food is very good. Classic but interesting. A fantastic wine menu. And brilliant service. Eat here

Really disappointing meal. My partner and I have been to plenty Michelin rated restaurants and this is the bottom ranking for sure. Went for my partner and I’s anniversary meal - the food felt like a glorified pub menu/cote brasserie. It was nothing special, especially considering the price. My main was dry and room temp but my partner’s was nice. We ordered mocktails but they were just a mixture of juices, they could definitely benefit from some more inventive mocktails (try something with ginger beer, grapefruit or soda water???). I don’t usually review places but after a bill of over £130 I felt it needed to be done. If you’re after a true Michelin experience, go to Erst instead!

A friendly welcome, Dishes cooked with a certain delicacy, However, particularly high prices considering the portions served...and even if it corresponded to a "tasting" at 48 GBP.

This authentic French restaurant is located in the trendy Northern Quarter. We both chose scallops as a main course which were beautifully cooked and presented. Desserts are not to missed in this restaurant. We had a crème brulée and a chocolate sphere, they were both excellent. We will definitely visit again when next in Manchester.

Below is my Feedback. 1) Climate was Rainy and Expected HOT food but all the items Except Apollo Fish Served Cool. 2) Except Starters Main Course was not Tasty... 3) Staff should be trained on HYGIENE and NEATLINESS. POOR Cleaning of used Welcome Drink Glasses by the STAFF.

i would not recommend this place at all! im truly shocked its on the Michelin guide. should taken off. the steak was good, but zero flavour had to add a lot salt. the snails, awful again no flavour. the cauliflower was just watery and bland. the spiced beef was shocking it was 99% cold veg and a tiny bit of beef. also No flavour at all! everything was super tasteless! would not recommend. AT £200 for 5 people. the food should flavour and enjoyable. save your self a lot of money by going to street urchin and half the price. Gutted.

On our friend's birthday, he wanted to eat French cuisine, so we chose 63 Degrees, one of the highly-rated French restaurants in Manchester. To celebrate, we brought a birthday cake. Upon entering, the waiter informed us that it would be £12.50 per person to eat our own cake, equivalent to their average dessert price. We had no other choice but to accept the cost unless we walked out of the restaurant. However, when the bill arrived, we were charged £13.00 per person instead. The issue is not only the cost but most importantly, misleading us and the refusal to correct it when we pointed it out. Regarding the food, it was disappointing and not worth the price. The starters included a yellow risotto that tasted sweet and strange, foie gras that was cold and flavorless, and escargot that, although decent, was fried and not fresh. The main dishes, like the pigeon burger, beef burger, and scallops, were just average. We provided feedback to the waiter about the starters. Hopefully they will improve their starters. When it came to the wine selection, we wanted to purchase a bottle to share amongst us. Unlike other restaurants I have been to, they did not allow us to taste different selections of wines before choosing a bottle. I feel that it is an unusual policy and off-putting for those who want to select a nice wine and are unfamiliar with the brands of selection they have. Lastly, the restaurant did not acknowledge my friend's birthday with a song or any special gesture, or even happy birthday wishes. While this may seem minor, it added to the overall disappointment for the lack of hospitality. Service wise, it was moderately slow and we have to walk to the bar counter several times to request refills for water. Given these experiences, I would not recommend 63 Degrees for celebrating birthdays or any special occasions. Honestly, look elsewhere in Manchester that’s worth your money.

Four of us came on July 14 hoping for a Fete Nationale- type of meal 🇫🇷 The only reason that I’ve given it four stars is because there was no nod at all to the Fete Nationale which was a shame. We are all Francophiles, two of us speaking French so we were delighted to have some opportunity to speak some French with the waiter and the chef patron. We had the set menu, which, whilst offering fairly small portions - we had to pay extra for vegetables- was quite delicious. I had the chicken in a sauce and shared the Gratin Dauphinoise and the seasonal vegetables with my partner – absolutely yummy. Yum.😋 The décor was lovely ❤️. So hard to find a good French restaurant in central Manchester so am very pleased that this one still exists! Merci x

A French fine cuisine restaurant in Northern quarter. It’s far from mediocre but always disappoints you in some unexpected way. For example the Japanese Wagyu is tender and tasty but it could be better if the temperature can be up few degrees. The escargot( the snail ) has been presented in unusual way, impressive with rich layers of taste. But again the temperature is not in the right level. Maybe it’s my fault to have this dinner at early 6pm-ish to be the first client of evening. The kitchen is just warming up yet.

We went here for dinner on Saturday evening after going last year and really enjoying it, but I have to say we were very disappointed. We weren't shown any of the specials and the lobster salad which is very expensive at £20 and we had 2 of them as it was delicious last time was so tasteless just a load of lettuce with a tiny bit of lobster. The stew was awful just lamb chunks not very soft in like an olive tasting water my husband left it. It was also our wedding anniversary and no mention nothing at all for that. We will not return.

After reading all the excellent reviews we were a little underwhelmed. Nothing bad, it's worth a visit and nothing wrong, food was good but very pricey for what you get. We done the taster menu with wine flight and didn't feel the food matched the price. We didn't get anything extra like bread or pre dessert etc which alot of other places offer. The food and wine wasn't really explained for each course. The dessert was changed without us being told as they ran out of the one on our menu. Was still a good evening but guess our expectations were high after reading the reviews.

The staff were very polite and the food was ok but it is very overpriced for what you get. Set menu of 2 courses for £28 ended up being £41 as the chicken dish was just a piece of chicken in sauce and potatoes were £6.50 for very small dauphinoise and then £6.50 for veg. Cheapest wine was £41 for a fairly ordinary wine. There is better value nearby.

Second time at this restaurant, very good again, this time we went for lunch. One had a la carte two had set lunch, downside was scallop salad for main, very good scallops but I think 3 scallops for a main course isn’t acceptable, yes it was the set lunch but we still ended up spending £300 and two of the three only had 2 course, so yes a little let down.

Snails and oysters as starters, Wagyu and Scallops as dishes, cheese and chocolate fondant to finish. At the end of the meal the Chef went around the tables (4) but did not consider it necessary to come see us. Too bad for the lack of consideration and respect.

It was ok. Was it worth £150 for two people (including two glasses of wine)? No. The food was ok, but lacked shine and care. The foie gras starter was ok… four slices of foie gras with some bread. Imagine if it has been pan fried, on a toasted brioche. Just unimaginative and fine. The egg and mushrooms were ok. Imagine if it had been pan fried wild mushrooms with garlic and herbs. Instead it was cold and resembled Campbells condensed mushroom soup. The steak was ok. It was overdone for rare, especially at a French restaurant! Was it worth £42? No chance The chicken was ok, maybe the better of the choices we made. The wine was nice. The salad was ok. The “pan fried veg” were some steamed carrots and swede. We didn’t even touch those. Thankfully they were taken off the menu. Felt like it was a good restaurant, at some point recently. I feel bad judging a place on a single visit, but this clearly wasn’t this place at its best. I think the chef was on holiday and someone was left holding the fort. Won’t be coming back.

This is a very special little restaurant, tucked away in the Manchester’s Northern Quarter, once inside you are taken to a cosy French restaurant that oozes charm. The menu is classic, short and always some specials on the board, I jumped on the black truffle risotto - I am huge risotto fan - and it was lovely. Our waiter was the perfect balance between professional and accessible. The menu is great, I wanted to order everything, and the food was incredible, bravo to the chef. I was sad (but full) when i finished my dessert! My favourite dish was the mushroom and egg starter. It reminded me of the French countryside in autumn. We choose the set menu, and there was enough choice of dishes. The food was delicious and well presented. However, I do think it naughty, when restaurants charge extra for vegetables. At home you would never just serve chicken in a sauce, it would be with vegetables and potatoes. Loved having proper tablecloths and napkins. We both enjoyed our meal, in fact we have booked to go again at the end of March. 😊😊

Exquisite, sublime, perfect. It's a rare find when everything is perfect, but 63 Degrees is the sheer level of perfection that every restaurant should aim to have. Greeting was warm, decor was Parisian in nature, yet warm. Quirky lamps that mimicked a candle flame. A clam, tranquil atmosphere. Perfect for romantic meals. Service was excellent, professional, yet warm. The wine list had a good choice yet wasn't overloaded like some restaurants. The food was divine. We could see in the kitchen and there was only one chef, who knocked it out of the park. Everything was elevated, every mouthful, near sensual. Definitely the best French food we've had at a Manchester restaurant in terms of quality so far. Could easily gain a Michelin star if they wanted. I'd recommend everything. The Rose Apple Tart, spectacular in taste and presentation, and for those Instagram lovers, definitely a prized photo. Came here for partner's birthday and they supplied a birthday treat, honestly just the cherry on top of a perfect experience. Overall, perfect. Kudos to the 63 degrees owner, they have a gem here.

Came with a friend for an evening meal. After seeing much online about this restaurant we were excited to attend. It was very quiet for a Friday night - the booking system on their website was a little peculiar as it didn't let me book until around a week before the date, before this it appeared as if it was all booked up. When we walked in the staff were friendly and chatty and this great service continued throughout the evening. We saw the focaccia being prepared as we walked past which looked delicious. The food choice was limited, but what we did have was delicious - the panisse was a particular stand out. We enjoyed a bottle of wine and a lovely evening overall.

A visit to Didsbury on Sunday led to an impromptu visit to The Didsbury for some lunch. As it was Sunday my wife and I both opted for the roast option. Unfortunately it was far from Satisfactory. The plate was engulfed with a yorkshire pudding of epic scale whose texture was more like a meringue. The 'goose fat roasted potatoes' were virtually dessicated and tasted weird. The stuffing required an angle grinder to divide it into manageable chunks. The 'pig in blanket' was more a 'hippo in a hankerchief' (large sausage in the teeniest bit of bacon)... The turkey and gravy were fine though... We were offered some minted new potatoes to make up for the poor meal.. We declined.. This was our first post pandemic sojourn to a 'restaurant'.... I thought places were meant to be making an effort to win us back!!!

Used them twice on Uber Eats, every time there was an issue. First time they sent one breakfast when I'd paid for two. Second time they waited 30 mins then cancelled my order. Don't recommend.
