The Brasserie in South Norfolk

Staying here on work for the night.. this restaurant is amazing all the staff are friendly and have the best customer service! The food is delicious, I'll 100% be eating here when I'm back again. Shout out to my waitress Nadine 🙏🏻

You'd think in an establishment like this hotel, the restaurant would match... It does not. Food was disappointing, it was also late. Surrounding us were unhappy customers who had all been waiting far too long for their food. All we could hear the staff say around us was "sorry the food is late, it will only be 10 minutes" for it to then take another 30 before it arrives. Apparently there's a great place just 15 mins away, I recommend you go there instead.

The food is nice, nothing I ate tasted horrible but its not quite got the oomph. Its not worth the price tag. I've stayed here for a few days now so we have tried a few things and I'm wondering-is there any dish that doesn't come with a full courgette chopped into it 🤔 Anyway if I was to complain about something it was the gem truffle salad with parmesan which I paid a fiver for. Literally a small handful of rocket with runny parmesan. I got this with a portion of chips just as snacks whilst having a drink outside, OMG like 20 small chips if I'm lucky and the salad for £10. I'm actually so surprised this chef is not mortified to be serving something so pretentious.

The food was OK in general except we were given stale bread at £2 per slice. The service was hit and miss and seemed very chaotic. Also they did not provide the food we asked for and one meal had to go back to the kitchen. I mentioned the problems to the waiter and he said sorry about that but don’t believe anything was reported back to the chef or whoever is mango g the restaurant, from what we saw maybe nobody. We will not be eating there again which is inconvenient as we have another 6 nights left.

Located inside the hotel, not outside at someone's house like how Google Maps is indicating. Lamb shank was incredible and probably the best I've eaten ever! Great staff and nice dining facility!
