Absolutely idyllic garden with such potential but the brasserie is a bit like a department store restaurant in ambience. The temporary Covid (?) shelter is a blot. Tables were sticky. My wine glass was imprinted with someone else’s lips. But the food was pleasant enough.

Did not stay in hotel . We had Sunday lunch in the Brazzerie Service was good , attentive and very pleasant staff . However , the food was average really not what I expected from a five star hotel be it in the brazzerie or not . The meat as in the chicken I had and the beef my husband had was very well cooked , but the veg , potatoes, gravy was not good . The puddings also were not what I would expfor that standard of hotel . Extremely disappointed

We had dinner for two at the Brasserie and whirl the food was good it was by no means amazing. Our drinks alone came to £60. This included a glass of Prosecco and a G&T for £24, 2 glass of wine for £ 30 and a bottle of still water for £5.4. This I feel is quite steep especially Charing that amount for a bottle that amount for a bottle of still water. Overall experience I think is a 3 rating. We had booked a table for 7pm however as they were limited with stuff we had to wait almost 45 minutes. With so many options to chose I would say they need to do better

Had lunch solo in the Brasserie and felt a little bit disappointed. The food was fine but the service was a bit abrupt - I had wanted and expected a lovely relaxing lunch with an opportunity to unwind and eat some delicious food. A gentleman behind the bar seemed a bit rushed - I was the first person there and the restaurant was completely empty - but the young lad who showed me to my seat and gave me the menu was charming and tried really hard - 5 stars for him. Unfortunately the guy who seemed rushed came to take my order - may have been the restaurant manager? I said something along the lines of "It all looks absolutely delicious - I can't decide" - hoping I might get some guiding and be talked through the menu - but his brusque reply was "Well you'll have to decide". The whole experience felt like I was in a cafeteria rather than the restaurant of an elegant country hotel. I had a little stroll round afterward and the pool area and gardens were stunning. I also wandered into the main hotel for a little look round and was warmly greeted and wished a Happy Easter by the super friendly staff there. It was a shame that the restaurant was so hit and miss.

Having stayed here a couple of times and loved it, we stopped in to check out the place as a possible destination for a family event. Sadly on our date only the brasserie was open. The menu is good and the service pleasant, However we watched our food make the pass and then be placed back on the kitchen side of the pass for another several minutes. The staff during this time avoided eye contact, I was at the brink of pursuing them when the food arrived. Apparently a problem with the pizza. Two fish dishes, burger and scorch eggs were left to stew whilst the pizza was remade - would it have been better to give us the choice of having our food freshly cooked and have a party member wait?Instead they decided to just let it ripen. As we had watched this happen we received an apology and a new portion of scotch eggs. But rather shoddy for such an establishment. The starters were super though

On the night we stayed at Lucknam Park I had booked a table in the Brasserie instead of the fine dining Restaurant Hywel Jones and we were not to be remotely disappointed with that choice. The serving staff were attentive and accommodating and the weather was such that we were able to eat outside. The food was superb. I started with Jerusalem artichoke, wood-roasted tomato sauce, Bromham broccoli and smoked almond pesto which was outstanding. I followed with Wye Valley asparagus, crispy Burford brown hen’s egg, Trealy Farm chorizo and Lilliput caper sauce vierge – utterly heavenly. I could not resist so chose a flourless chocolate cake, honeycomb and almond ice cream which I relished even though the cake was rather solid.

We decided to visit Lucknam Park for afternoon tea to celebrate a birthday (although the hotel was not aware of this). The tree lined avenue to the entrance is impressive and it was nice to sit outside so we could enjoy the pleasant weather and take in the extensive grounds. Unfortunately the disappointing part of the afternoon was the tea itself. The sandwich selection was average compared to other teas we have experienced and the bread was a little dry. The asparagus quiche was tasty but the sausage rolls were below par.The scones were nice although the “fruit “ ones contained only a tiny amount of fruit and the portions of cream and jam seemed measured for one rather than two people. The cake selection was quite good but did not have the “wow” factor. We did not feel that anything was actually unacceptable so did not share our feelings with the staff but our expectations were not met. All in all we were disappointed with our experience which regretfully did not match Lucknam Park’s presentation of itself as a prestigious and award winning hotel.

I was given a gift voucher to use in the brasserie. We wanted to dine here in August but there were no tables for non guests at that time which was disappointing. We did however manage to get a table for two early October. We parked in the central carpark but found it difficult to even find the brasserie as there was not enough signage. Once we found it we did receive a warm welcome. The menu was varied. I chose mussels to start with the fish and chips for main and cheesecake for dessert. My husband chose pate to start, steak for main and cheesecake. The food was well cooked and presented well. Although the bill was on the pricey side, even with the voucher, I felt it represented good value for money. We would like to return again maybe to the spa and spend the day there and finish with a meal in the brasserie.

The quality of the food and wine was good but unfortunately I thought very overpriced by some 30% in an average brasserie. £40 per head for 2 course Sunday lunch, £9 for a desert as I recollect, all wines expensive. Service was polite but average. So sorry can’t recommend.

Meal however was good and service polite and attentive Certainly not a proper Xmas lunch. Chef was trying out dishes that morning (impressive) Just overpriced Just wanted a festive Xmas ‼️😳

We've been to 'The Brasserie' before and we've always loved it. This time was no different, we really enjoyed the experience. The staff here are brilliant, and every one of them helped to make our evening really enjoyable. I don't remember any names, but everyone we encountered was professional yet friendly. The food wasn't amazing. I had the scotch egg to start, and the homemade 'brown sauce' tasted like unadulterated tamarind sauce. It wasn't unpleasant, but the two made a strange combination. I had cheese to finish and the chutney served with the cheese tasted like mango chutney mixed with chilli jam. Again, it wasn't unpleasant, just strange. We had a great evening and really enjoyed The Brasserie. The staff are great, but the flavours for the meal just lacked something.

Signage into venue was poor and we got lost twice. Tables offered were not with the best outlook. We had Sunday lunch.... Starter was good, main was very very average, sweet was the best course. When we booked the price was £35 each + 12% service charge however when we looked at me menu this had increased to £40 + service charge. Would not recommend based on main course and overall value compare to other venues we have visited recently.

The grounds at Lucknam Park Hotel are a treat at night as the subtle lighting makes the most of the stuning buildings. The Brasserie restaurant is part of the Spa complex and is modern and luxuriously furnished without being overly formal. The menu is very varied and you can have anything from a Pizza from their wood-fired oven to Chateaubriand (which I wish I had chosen after seeing it being served to others). My choice was the Mussels starter with Crab as the main course. The portions were generous - it was frustrating that the pot of mussels was so full that I couldn't get to the sauce at the bottom - but I thought that the crab lacked flavour (maybe that's just the way white crab meat is).The service as amazing - just as good as at the main hotel. I would highly recommend it as an informal but very atmospheric place to eat.

We have stayed at Lucknam Park hotel this week, and eaten either lunch or dinner at the versatile and elegant Brasserie almost every day. Works perfectly as a light, healthy lunch to accompany the spa, and also as a special celebration dinner in the evening (we have done both, twice!).The food on offer is full of flavour, yet delicate and extremely fresh. We loved the fact that a lot of the ingredients used were grown in the gardens on the Estate. The 'Quaffing Club' dinner was a real highlight, with the extremely talented manager / maitre d' Steve having picked a superb 2009 Barolo wine and matched it with a special menu devised by the Michelin starred exec chef of The Park Restaurant next door. Thanks to all the staff at the Brasserie - and a special thank you also to Steve, who is a future star restaurateur we think. We shall be back!

What we found even more amazing is that people are allowed to dine in bathrobes!!!! The restaurant is next to the spa, but I think that people who go to the spa and want to eat should be restricted to the lounge area by the reception. This restaurant attracts lots of diners, even children, It cannot be healthy having people half dressed eating in a smart restaurant, especially when there is an alternative area. We had a family come in and sit on the table next to ours. The smell from the oils etc. is not particularly nice when one is trying to eat food.

Service was good and it's a beautiful setting but it was just kinda average food. Not average for everywhere but average for such a hotel and average for the price.Just didn't think it was value for money.Over salted starter, cold sauce with the steak.... expected the chateaubriand to be just that little bit bigger (I know that's not the point but... it kinda is).The desert was in comparison massive.I've paid half the price for twice the taste... I've paid twice the price too - so it's not that I'm tight!Just lacking attention to detail I think and trading on the hotel's good name rather than itself as a venue to attract non-residents. With Bath so close... needs to up it's game to get us to return (which is a real shame as it's where we went on our first date so it has a nice place in our hearts!)

Afternoon snack of whitebait with aioli and finger sandwiches to see us through till dinner. Fresh and well presented, pleasant with a glass of Provencal rose to wash it down with.

Food is fantastic and the staff are very attentive. Perfect compliment to a spa break. Breakfast was very relaxed and we were able to customise our coninental breakfast to what we fancied so everything was fresh.

The relaxing atmosphere of The Brasserie at Lucknam Park is a real treat with tasty interesting food close to the beautiful pool area. You can sit in your towelling robes and look out at the view of the beautiful well kept gardens...

Stunning buildings and grounds, and a reasonably priced afternoon tea. Impeccable service. Came here for a birthday celebration with two friends and loved it. We are all now very interested in finding out more about Lucknam Park.

My wife and I were looking forward to our lunch in the brasserie which was a anniversary gift. Unfortunately it turned out to be a bit disappointing. The buildings and park are fantastic just what we expected. The Brasserie restaurant was let down by 1) No atmosphere at all. 2) Having your lunch with with people from the adjoining spa in their slippers and bath robes. The food we thought was average for a hotel with such a good reputation. Having said this the one positive was that the staff were very polite and helpful.

Was looking forward to sharing a special valentines day with my spouse and thought Lucknam would be up to scratch and meet expectations previously achieved. However, the experience disappointed and I would be wary to repeat. The welcome was warm as always but that was the highlight of the evening. The meal was less than average and the service was poor. We were rushed through and were not feeling pampered. Very average and certainly not 5 star. The brasserie needs to take a breath and re-think. Continue in this manor and they will be classed in the same frame as a little chef or macdonalds. Surprisingly poor.

The Brasserie is not in the main house but a contemporary building in the garden sharing its entrance with the Spa facilities - great if you are on a Spa break but not so great if you are seeking comfy sofas and log fires. Very friendly and efficient waiters and the lunchtime special menu offers good food at a very sensible price. The selected/recommended wine compliments the food very well and the coffee after lunch was very smooth. The building has floor to ceiling widows onto the garden, which will open during the summer so this will be even better for a summer lunch.Walk off lunch with a stroll through the grounds - all lovely!

Lovely place to eat, not too formal. Excellent standard of service. Our 3 course meal was very enjoyable, the short rib of beef succulent and tender. The wine list is very well chosen.

A bit harsh headline? Maybe....Lets look at the positivesWe arrived about 45 mins before our booking for 8 pm & were warmly welcomed. We enjoyed a round of drinks while we browsed through the various menus but we felt the staff were too anxious to take our order & get us to our table promptly. We were unable to continue our drinks in the lounge area as we were informed that our table was ready & our meal was being prepared, not unreasonable I guess. The food was very good & each course arrived very quickly! We thought it was very good value....However, after a long spectacular drive to the restaurant through the avenue of trees, the actual restaurant disappointed. It had the atmosphere of a motorway service station restaurant in the dead of night. There were few diners so I guess this didn't help. The restaurant closes quite promptly at 10 pm but by 9.45pm a member of staff was clearing the floor with a dustpan & brush & then the aircon got switched to cool presumably to encourage your exit.We just felt the night was quite hurried & everything was geared to closing time. But as I have already stated the food was very good & I almost forgot to mention...so was the head waiter.

I have eaten here several times now evening and lunchtime. The food has never disappointed, excellent standard and served well. I would always recommend. However my last visit I felt things were 'slipping'. I hung up my own coat, always been greeted and coat offered to be hung up.On another hotel website nearby to Lucknam, this little request is made 'We request that guests dress smart with no denim, trainers or sportswear'. I was stunned to see a football being 'dribbled' around the Brasserie, trainers almost on the table and sportswear worn, his football team on his back! In a restaurant serving this standard of food this is not an inappropriate request. So maybe it should be used here too.The ambience was seriously let down by these unfortunate clientele.I know this is a tricky one, the food was as good as always, service not quite up to its normal high standard, my cranberry sauce was given to my partner who was eating beef! so our pre Christmas lunch will probably be elsewhere next year. What a shame.

We had a delicious set lunch here at the end of November. There were 10 of us and service was speedy and no one had to wait. The only gripe we had was the cutlery which was badly balanced and kept turning in our hands.Would definitely recommend

We came after a recent flood and after ordering 3 club sandwiches which come with chips and a cheese toastie with an added portion of chips we were told the chip fryer was broken so chips were not available. Nevertheless, we were charged FULL price for the 3 club sandwiches with NO chips and more disgustingly we were charged an extra £4.90 for chips we did not receive. See the receipt. There are other tea rooms in Bradford on Avon that are worth visiting and you wont get ripped off.

I want to praise the venue for its hospitality for Christmas dinner. I was made very welcome; the food was excellent; and the service was prompt and friendly. Very highly recommended.

The food was fantastic. Fresh vegetables cooked to perfection, meat succulent. The chef has the perfect blend of herbs to enhance the food but not overpower the flavour. Great range of beer and cider. The pub was on the side of the canal so plenty to see as well. I would definitely recommend a visit.
