Recientemente nos alojamos allí para una parada de una noche con un amigo El personal en recepción donde amable y servicial Después de estar en un restaurante indio local para una comida volvimos a tomar una copa dentro de unos 5 minutos el tipo que estaba dirigiendo el bar y la mujer que estaba recogiendo vasos ambos se volvieron muy abruptos con su actitud y básicamente queríamos que saliéramos de la zona del bar lo antes posible Hubiera calificado este lugar como bueno esp como las habitaciones eran buenas con una ubicación ideal con un montón de pubs y restaurantes cercanos, pero la MALA ACTITUD del personal del bar que encontramos al final de nuestra noche dejó un sabor agrio

Tuvimos un gran almuerzo de domingo aquí, las porciones eran generosas y la comida muy agradable, sin duda volvería de nuevo. El asado de los niños era genial también, y buenas opciones de bebidas de las cervecerías locales

Visitó mientras estaba en la zona para ver a un amigo enfermo en el hospital. Pedí comida y después de esperar 25 minutos, tuve que irme. El gerente (Harriet) admitió que ni siquiera habían comenzado a preparar mi comida, pero se negó a darme un reembolso en el sitio. Me dijeron que los reembolsos solo se pueden procesar a través de su oficina central, que cierra los fines de semana. Esto significa que efectivamente se han quedado con mi dinero para comida que ni siquiera empezaron a cocinar. Esta política parece violar la Ley de Derechos del Consumidor de 2015 , que requiere que las empresas proporcionen reembolsos oportunos cuando los servicios no se entregan. Todos los locales tienen máquinas de tarjetas capaces de procesar reembolsos inmediatos - esta es la práctica estándar en toda la hospitalidad. Visitamos este establecimiento para el almuerzo del domingo de hoy por recomendación de un amigo. No es nuestra área local, por lo tanto, no sabía qué esperar. Nos pareció encantadora la decoración y el personal era amable y servicial. Era muy tranquilo para una tarde húmeda y miserable, así que nos dieron servicio rápidamente. Tengo un punto de referencia para el almuerzo que compartimos con el gerente de turno y nos complace decir que cumplió con esas expectativas, especialmente cuando se incluyó un crumble de cortesía en el precio de la cena asada. Había un montón de carne, verduras y patatas y el queso de coliflor extra era delicioso. Mi única queja fue que todo podría haber estado un poco más caliente, pero no lo suficiente para molestarnos demasiado. Sin duda volveremos 👍

Nos alojamos en este hotel. Honestamente, solo tiene que pagar las £ 30 adicionales y alojarse en el Premier Inn. La habitación que me dieron era terrible Sucio Suciedad y trozos en los cubrecamas Alfombra muy manchada Manchas de té por las paredes Agujeros en las paredes Televisor pero sin control remoto para usar Baño congelado Ruido de la carretera Ruido del personal Ruido de inodoros de descarga Olía a lejía fuerte Almohadas duras Colchón dañado Muy cansado Me quejé y me dijeron que hablarían con el personal de limpieza. Hablé con otros residentes y me contaron historias similares sobre sus habitaciones. Recomendaría evitar este hotel a toda costa

Extremadamente decepcionado pedí el pollo asado en Costa £ 14. 50 Cuando llegó la comida, el pudín de Yorkshire estaba quemado y había literalmente una zanahoria y dos papas asadas pequeñas y nadaba en salsa. Le dije a la camarera que eso no es realmente aceptable. ¿Hay alguna posibilidad de que pueda tener más verduras, por favor patatas y zanahorias? Ella se fue y dijo que no, que tendrá que pagar extra por eso. Dije bien que no estoy aceptando que ella dijo que necesitará hablar con el gerente y simplemente se fue y me dejó no quería asumir responsabilidad alguna. Me senté ahí esperando. Nadie vino. Llevé mi comida de vuelta al bar y dije que me gustaría un reembolso, no quiero esto. Me dijeron que no ofrecemos un reembolso. Tendrás que rellenar un formulario y enviarlo. ¿Qué diablos realmente nunca me han dicho que en cualquier pub o restaurante si alguna vez he enviado comida de vuelta que no ha sido muy a menudo por £ 15 no era aceptable y dije que quería un reembolso. No he tocado nada de la comida que dijo que no puedo darte un reembolso así que estábamos estancados. Ella se llevó la comida y dijo que cambiaré la comida. La comida volvió con chirivías extra zanahorias y patatas y cuando pienso en ello no había chirivías en la primera porción de la comida. Nunca volvería a comer allí nunca más completamente inútil no quiso aceptar la responsabilidad y más o menos me ignoró.

Pasamos la noche (2 habitaciones dobles) y desayunamos a la mañana siguiente. Nos quedamos muy contentos con la estancia, y así bastante sorprendidos por las malas críticas que vemos de algunos otros. Las habitaciones estaban limpias y cómodas, la ducha y las camas estaban bien. El personal con el que hablamos (consultas telefónicas, check-in y desayuno) era eficiente y agradable de tratar. El desayuno era un montón - comida caliente (bufé) podría haberse mantenido más caliente, pero estaba muy bien - cocinado. El aparcamiento estaba disponible y conveniente. En general, especialmente teniendo en cuenta el precio, era una excelente relación calidad-precio.

No es una gran experiencia. . Personal claramente infeliz. Barman estaba haciendo todo lo posible. Mala comida. Personal de recepción deficiente. Los lugareños nos dijeron que nos mantuviéramos alejados en el futuro

Mi esposa y yo nos alojamos recientemente en "The Bournbrook Inn" para la graduación de nuestra hija, y fue toda una experiencia memorable, sobre todo por la comedia de errores que se desarrolló! Personal: En primer lugar, permítanme cantar alabanzas para el personal. Fueron excelentes – amable, servicial y encantador. Sin embargo, parecía que eran todo el elenco de un espectáculo de un solo hombre (o mujer). A pesar de sus mejores esfuerzos, estaban claramente escasos de personal, pero kudos para ellos por mantener sonrisas en sus caras mientras hacían malabares con un millón de tareas! Esto también fue evidente con decenas de llamadas telefónicas, mensajes dejados y un correo electrónico enviado en los días anteriores, todo sin respuesta. Habitación: Nuestra habitación era impecable, casi como una sala de exposición para molestias minimalistas. La cama era un verdadero trampolín de miseria, con almohadas tan delgadas y esponjosas como tortitas y un edredón que bien podría haber sido una hoja de papel tisú. Prefiero un edredón que tenga algo de peso – este flotaba de la cama como un fantasma con un problema de peso. Las sábanas apenas se metían, por lo que cada intento de meterse en la cama se convertía en un combate de lucha, solo para ser derrotado por el oponente inanimado de lino. Ruido: Las paredes y el techo eran tan delgados, que prácticamente podía escuchar los pensamientos de los huéspedes en la habitación de arriba. En un momento dado, parecía que un elefante estaba practicando ballet. Acostarse en la cama imaginando elefantes rosas en el desfile de Disneys Fantasia no es congruente con un buen sueño nocturno. Desayuno: El desayuno era bastante agradable, excepto por un par de peculiaridades. Se quedaron sin zumo de naranja y tomates. Y hablemos del incidente del frutero. Una pequeña familia decidió reubicar todo el frutero en su propio alijo personal, dejándonos sin frutos al resto de nosotros. Era como ver un atraco, pero con manzanas y naranjas. El personal parecía hacer la vista gorda – quizás estaban demasiado ocupados haciendo malabares con las tareas del desayuno para darse cuenta de los bandidos de la fruta. Y luego estaban las salchichas –pálidas, tristes- que parecían haber sido cocinadas en microondas en lugar de cocinadas en un horno o fritas. Eran las apariciones fantasmales de lo que deberían ser las salchichas, carentes del atractivo dorado - marrón que suele tentar al desayuno - los asistentes. En general: ¿Recomendaría "The Bournbrook Inn"? Sí, pero solo para una sola noche y principalmente debido al excelente personal que está haciendo todo lo posible en circunstancias difíciles. Si estás buscando una cama cómoda y una noche silenciosa, trae tu propio edredón y tapones para los oídos. Y tal vez empacar un desayuno de reserva, por si acaso. Tres estrellas por los esfuerzos hercúleos del personal y el valor cómico de nuestra estancia!

Went in for a pint and was pleasantly surprised by the variety of ales and lagers. The menu has been changed and looks a lot better. Spotless, pleasant with friendly staff and a nice ambiance with a real mixture of customers from families to people staying in the hotel.

Sunday lunch was flagged as being good here. It wasn’t , they were doing a Carvery so the normal Sunday menu on the website was off. The food really wasn’t hot and we’d got plates by 12.15. The roast spuds weren’t crunchy in the slightest. Cauliflower cheese sauce lovely but cauliflower was raw. Carrots and parsnips nice and a good portion of meat but the rest of the meal didn’t warrant the £18 price tag. Maybe carvery isn’t what you’re good at. The food was disappointing. Staff friendly but one of the bar maids more interested in her fellow male colleague's and got our order wrong and even forgot to give us our good tokens and started serving someone else. Not the right experience which is a shame as I’ve been here before for food / drinks and thought it was good. I wouldn’t go again for the carvery for sure, not worth it.

The actual bar area looks really inviting, standards of cleanliness and hygiene left alot to be desired. Management need to pay closer attention to detail and cleanliness. Bedding looked clean, however areas of room and bathroom weren't clean. We'd advise eating breakfast elsewhere we asked for clean plates and were presented with dirty ones, tea cups placed upside down directly on a filthy bar, cereal stored in plastic tubs which had dried foodstuff on the outside. Another guest also complained about the state of plates and cutlery immediately offered a refund.

Wanted to love this place but disappointed. Unwelcoming staff, offhand bordering on rude. Food and beer was good. Plenty of competition in the area so pub needs to really step up.

I've had a really great time staying here overnight with my daughter. Like many others, we used this place between student house moves 30th June to 1st July, while we are waiting for keys. Check-in was not permitted until 2pm as they were dashing around getting rooms ready so that was fine. Nice reception staff, asked us to fill in a form then gave us a key. All info about times was in the room. The room was really clean and comfortable, provided all the basic requirements. Downstairs the bar area was well presented and trendy, I loved the little room at the front called 'the library' where books were stuck to the walls as decoration, there were comfy high back chairs and a book shelf for you to read from. It was a nice touch. I ate tea at the pub and indulged in cocktails. I had the fried chicken which was okay, it was enough but it was overpriced at £14. The lady serving, bless her, whenever I asked her for anything, her eyes dropped to the floor and she went to get it. She didn't speak to me at all. Not a "yes sure", a "thank you", nothing, despite me being quite chatty to her. It was weird. Beware the cocktails!! I was trying to play it safe so that I didn't snore too loud, sharing a room with my daughter. I thought the cocktails would have coke, lemonade or fruit juice in them. My mistake!! I think one was about 45% proof and I was paggered, ahaa! 2 for £14 so of course I had 4, plus the 2 pints of Peroni I drank beforehand. The almonds in the almond drink were off so they had a mouldy taste but 'drunk me' didn't care, I chucked them back anyway. I did get a "thank you" from the mute girl as I left because I was right in her face smiling and thanking her like an absolute Lout. I snored like a train all night and my daughter wanted to punch me right in my stupid face. Anyway, onto breakfast.. so you walk in and they don't ask for your name, room number or say hello. You just guess that you sit where you like or you go up to the waiting staff guy and ask. Next time we come we will probably just go in for a free breakfast as they don't check who you are (just kidding). No plates but the guy brought some more out. Cereal selection is Weetabix, cornflakes which had run out or rice crispies. No fruit, no meats, pastries etc but I don't eat them anyway so I wasn't fussed. A carton of Morrisons orange juice and a carton of Morrisons apple juice on the bar (Morrisons is right outside the pub if you need any supplies). Sachets of Nescafe, tea bags and a hot water cannister. Morrisons cheapo white bread only - no brown and a tub of Morrisons version of ' You're sh**ting me, it's not butter?' which went missing on one of the tables and the guy serving looked genuinely scared until he found it. Half the time he couldn't hear us cos he was listening to music with his earphones in which I genuinely found funny. Hot breakfast was fine quality wise. Only fried eggs, no other egg option. Hash browns ran out so we waited a while then asked earphone guy. When we finally got his attention and asked if there were more hash browns coming he just said "Nahh" which I found so amusing!! He did say "sorry" though. I'm now just laying here in the room, waiting for my daughter to steal 2hrs sleep before we checkout as I snored all night. Would I come here again? Absolutely! It's good value, decent rooms, ample parking space. It provided all basic needs and it was entertaining. I would eat my evening meal at Morrisons cafe next time (only due to price) but everything else was fine and serviceable. 4 out of 5!!

Hats off to the chef the food was cooked amazingly well and tasted great all of my party enjoyed our courses…the barmaid was also excellent with us was helpful with all our needs definitely be coming back

Location 3.5/5 Room: 3/5 Pub food: 3.5/5 Price point (accommodation): 4/5 All staff: 1/5 The staff on the pub side and the accommodation side are about as hospitable as prison guards. I’ve encountered customs and border control agents with more warmth and hospitality. Credit where it’s due: the staff know how to pour a pint and work a card machine. They know how to take an order. Re: they can do their job. They just stare daggers at you as though you being there is a massive imposition on their life. The room we stayed in is super simple and basic but it did the job. I think a 2 year old designed the bathrooms. For some odd reason the loo roll is directly behind the toilet rather than on the sides - where there is plenty of space! The parcel shelf above the sink is the size of a £20 note and there’s no shelf at all in the shower. The best thing about this place is the quality of food in the pub - when it’s available. They sold out of pork belly and fish and chips by 6pm on a Friday. It’s shameful!

A very nice establishment, nice beers and very well mannered and polite bar staff, however, the experience was spoilt by the loud bass techno music that made conversation impossible. The demograph of the people using the bar was a mixture of diners with their families and friends, and groups of people conversing. I asked the bar staff why the music was so loud, and I was informed that the bar manager had told them to turn it up. He stated that he would turn it down a little, which he did and conversation was permissible. 20 minutes later, the volume went up again, conversation again became difficult. Again the bar staff had been instructed to turn it up by the bar manager. Given the reluctance to bring the sound levels down to level where conversation could take place, the 6 of us in the group left. This is the 1st hotel bar that I have been in, and I have been in many, where the back ground music drowned out conversation. I would suggest that consideration be given to investigating the music sound levels in the bar.

Firstly, the lady that checked us in just looked disinterested when interacting with us which wasn’t very welcoming. As for for the room, the tv didn’t work so it wasn’t really a good start, broken mirror, holes in the photos in the wall wasn’t a pleasant look and the sheets had a few small stains. Now with bathroom the shower was dirty and toilet seat was broken so each time you sit you’re drifting to Morrisons over the road. There’s also one bedside table for two beds and an amazing view from the window.

I had a surprisingly lovely evening meal when staying at the Bournbrook in early November 2022 - I had 3 small plates rather than a main and they were gorgeous - delicious hispi cabbage & dressing; grilled prawns and asparagus with hazelnuts; really lovely. Would definitely eat there again.

Visited On October 16th for a Birthday meal - met by a miserable looking and unwelcoming manager - who never smiled or attempted to make it a welcoming or special experience. Ordered two Orange Squashes for kids and he served Lime. We had to ask a few times when our meal would be served as we waited ages for it to come. We ordered coffees and no one advised the coffee machine had broken - we had to chase where they were as they never arrived. However, the key issue is that when the food arrived, we ordered - 4 vegetarian meals and 2 meats (Pork) - the meat eaters were at one end of the table and the vegetarians at the other. My daughter found a chicken bone in her Yorkshire pudding. Not in the gravy or meal but in the Yorkshire. The manager came over and sat at our table to discuss - mainly not to draw attention to the issue, by saying easier to discuss sitting - we did not make a fuss and where happy to resolve in this way. He asked what we wanted and as we were more shocked and taken aback - that Religious Vegetarians (Sikh) had been served meat - we could not answer. He took 50% off the food bill. Re-took our contact details - as he had them already with our booking. Told us they took these issues very seriously and would have to send the items from the kitchen off for analysis. Said it would take a couple of days and he would get back to us once the checks had been made. Have not heard anything to date. I held off from reviewing giving them time to get back to us. My daughter is 13 and was not expecting a Chicken bone in her Vegetarian Yorkshire Pudding. Not a good experience at this venue from start to finish.

Very enjoyable and friendly place to stay. Great atmosphere and clean place . We stayed for 1 night whilst visiting the classic car show at the NEC. Had a lovely meal and drinks. The room was clean although one of the windows wouldn’t close properly and was a little draughty. And take your own shower gel as there wasn’t any. Would recommend a short stay here definitely tho.

The food they served was delicious. I went on a Sunday . My vegan main was lovely. Some of our group had beef , others pork belly. We all agreed it was worth the wait. It was busy and yes we had a fairly long one but with the great atmosphere you dont really mind. Thank you for a very good meal. And thank you for the staffs lovely customer service. A lot of the staff are young but very helpful

Delicious local ales, tasty food and attentive friendly service in a pleasant modernised pub with welcoming atmosphere.

No redeeming qualities. Dirty rooms & corridors, unusable Wi-Fi, noisy, manky bedding, no hooks to hang clothes or towels, surly breakfast staff, low quality breakfast only with 80% of it available, alarms going off, no proper coffee, no fridge in room. Just cheap and nasty at a premium price.

Popped in for pre booked dinner. There were 5 of us in total and whilst the food we had was very tasty and enjoyed by the whole group, the service was painfully slow despite not being Overy busy.

We had to wait 3 hours for our room to be ready, and when we did get get our room their was no hot water in the showers. We did get breakfast as a freebie to make up for it, however the service and attitude...
