Querky little bar, interesting place, great for a drink. Small so imagine it has a good atmosphere at the weekends.

Good little pub ,pleasant staff

Didn't eat so can't rate. Decent array of beers between draft and cans and bottles in the fridge. Not the cheapest prices but I personally don't mind paying a little more for a decent selection. Good conversation with the regular punters (about beer of course). Recommended for real ale drinkers.

My friend and I were on a minibreak in Middlesbrough and looked up micropubs. Having visited one on the same road we spotted The Bottled Note, thought it looked nice so popped in. It was quiet as early evening on a wet Thursday. After selecting our drinks we decided to sit at the bar as the owner Nick and his friend seemed happy to chat. So not only did I have a choice of ciders, including two that were completely new to me, we also gained some knowledge about the local area. Out of our six pub crawl this was our favourite. Thank you for being so welcoming to us girls, Nick.

Lovely little pub in Middlesbrough. It was a week night so fairly quiet but you can see from inside of the pub it’s a local for Boro fans on match days. They have a good choice of drinks as well.

Very enjoyable atmosphere, particularly on match days. The Rear Beer Garden is a big hit for me! Service levels are excellent, however prices are on the high side.

Absolutely diamond off a pub, with the cutest beer garden, staff are warm and welcoming and it’s the only pub in boro I could go out on my own and visit without feeling on my own.

What a brilliant bar. Working away from home and luckily found this charming and welcoming establishment. Made to feel welcome immediately, fantastic choice of beers, can highly recommend the Guinness. The owner is very friendly and welcoming, Kelly is an absolute star, takes time to chat with you and makes you feel so welcome. Could not ask for more, this is top service with a genuine smile. Popped in here for the first time probably 2 months ago and have loved it ever since. I've been in every week after that and I'm yet to be disappointed. Big recommendation for the guys from the bottle note .

I have been humming and harring for the last couple of weeks but have decided that people need to be aware. Called into the Bottled Note a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday evening with 2 friends. I decided to call in as the owner had supported my rugby club's beer festival in the Summer. On arrival the place/decor was warm and friendly. I met the owner at the bar who, though he was incredibly drunk, he was friendly and when I explained where he knew me from, appeared delighted to have us in. All was good or so I thought. We ordered our drinks and the owner recommended a lager for me as I was confused what to get, again great. He then, out of nowhere, started slagging off one of his rivals, using the most foul of language. My friends were a couple and I was shocked and embarrassed by the language this gentleman used. I mentioned this and he just continued his rant. I then explained that my friends knew the object of his words, thinking that this my quieten him down but this sent him off again using the nastiest of language in front of a lady. Would loved to have loved this place, but I will be avoiding in future. Such a shame

We were visiting Middlesbrough on a walking holiday (yes, seems weird but there is all sorts of brilliant stuff on the doorstep). The pub could not possibly have been more welcoming. The beer was great and the locals are only too happy to chat. Tess was fed loads of biscuits by Kelly who does a superb job. We shall return!!!

Excellent night here for my mates birthday party, staff where amazing, service was superb and the range of drinks is awesome…….definitely the best bar in Middlesbrough..!!!

I went there with some friends before we were going to go to some clubs but ended up staying till they closed, the manageress Kelly made us feel extremely welcome and they had a great selection of beers, lagers wines and spirits. The atmosphere was amazing and we’ll definitely be back again.

Best pub in central Middlesbrough, great place for any Boro fan

This is a lovely real ale pub, also with a wide range of other beers, wines and spirits. The staff are very friendly and chatty as are the other customer's and it's always easy to strike up a conversation and feel at home there. There is a lovely beer garden to the rear, a cocktail bar and a function room on the first floor. It is family and dog friendly. I would definitely recommend it.

Fantastic place. Great Beers, great staff. One of the best bars in Boro to visit. Love this place! Any away fans visiting Boro get yourself in this place, always welcoming and Nick will look after you. Now with a Beer Garden and Big Screen TV upstairs. This is the best bar to visit in Boro. Superb!!!

Wasn't there long but they welcomed us in without having to book a table, we were 5 people and that was no issue! They have German Paulander on tap! One way system in place for COVID. Table service only. Scan the QR code to order and pay. Nice little micro pub.

It's not a competition, but whilst there is some focus on Baker Street, if you want a decent place for a pint in the centre of Boro this is the best place around. Great range of beers. Landlord is a star. Unconventional with its location in a former shop so if you walk past can think it isn't a pub/bar like it is - but welcoming and pretty unique for Middlesbrough which not brilliantly served for a decent place to drink on an evening.

Great night in Bottled Note, great choice of drinks, friendly helpful staff and a great atmosphere on a cold damp January night (not many bars were this busy on this night, says a lot about it). A hidden gem, just take a minute to go find it...its worth it! xx

We don't go out for drinks around town very often, but when we do we always seem to end up in The Bottled Note at some point! This night out we started here after a couple of drinks at home - the better to properly appreciate the delicious cocktails!! All are made with care by the mixologist and are excellent value. We visited 7.30-9pm on a saturday night (weekend before payday) so town was surprisingly quiet. Inside, we went to the right to the cocktail bar and there were only 2 other people in the bar with us. Our group of 4 were comfy sat around the couch area, otherwise there were plenty of bar stool style seats. I had a couple of the tastiest cocktails for £5 and £5.50 a drink. All the drinks my friends and I bought were absolutely delicious, and I think the most expensive ones were £7 each. The ladies toilet is behind the bar, the door to the right when you enter the front door. The toilets are absolutely gorgeous! lol Brand new, sparking and super clean - such a pleasant surprise! May have resulted in a couple of drunken toilet selfies! haha Excellent value, tasty drinks and we were able to sit and chat in comfort - a great night out :-) We will definitely be back!

High end bar, good service, good location. The music is in low volume so comfortably allow you to have nice conversation. The price is bit up than the others in the area.

We visited on saturday afternoon/early evening with friends and I was pleasantly surprised at the huge cocktail menu. Even more so at the prices! I had a couple of the tastiest cocktails for £5 a drink, all served with style in different glasses/copper mugs etc. All the drinks my friends and I bought were absolutely delicious, and I think the most expensive ones were £7 each. Inside, we went to the right to the cocktail bar, there was only one couch which was occupied. The bar stools didn't look terribly comfortable so we opted to sit outside in the more comfy seats as was quite a warm day. The young girl behind the bar was very helpful in bringing our drinks out to us. The ladies toilet is behind the bar, the door to the right when you enter the front door. Whilst the short corridor was a bit dingy the toilets themselves were a very pleasant surprise as looked to have been very recently renovated and were clean and new. Now that we have discovered this fab little bar, we will be visiting again soon!

Called in for a lunchtime beer and they had a great range of real ales and Belgian beers. Staff really friendly. Loved the peanut butter stout and the pie a day beers

Nice place and cocktails were lovely. Cocktail bar staff were helpful. However if your charging best part of ten pounds for a cocktail you need to have the facilities to match it. And having two shared toilets upstairs reminiscent of a squat is not acceptable....

Recently spent a few hours in this pub after the Middlesbrough v West Brom game. The Boro fans (including the gaffer) made us very welcome. Great beer, great atmosphere - a perfect end to a not so perfect night!

Friendly and quiet... A little pricey

Me and my friends came across this place when we wanted a quiet drink in town. The Bottled Note is intimate therefore perfect for those who enjoy great drinks but without the rowdiness of other pubs and bars.
