The Bottle of Sauce in Cheltenham

Sunday morning brunch was delicious. Faultless! Also doggy friendly.

We have recently changed venue for our regular meet up and we could not be happier with our decision to start using the Bottle of Sauce. We had a side room called “The Bottle Room” and it was great to have some space to ourselves yet still able to enjoy the rest of the pub! The atmosphere here is great, Staff are very friendly and happy & the food was amazing!!!

Darwin the 5 month old Vizsla absolutely loved his second trip to Bottle of Sauce this evening. So many people giving him fuss, including all the lovely staff (apart from one, who thought he should leave! 😞🤷🏻‍♂️). Looking forward to going back again soon.

Loved our own private room at The bottle of sauce. Great food and very attentive staff.

Only stopped here for a pint but great atmosphere and good choice of beer,menu looked ok too with a few vegetarian options and cheap cocktails

I generally like the place, but have never been on a weekend before, it was very busy. Pretty decent burgers, pizzas looked good. Interesting selection of drinks.

Bottle of Sauce is the kind of place where you tell yourself, “Just one more wing,” and then suddenly, you’re staring at an empty basket wondering where your self-control went. The food? Good. The pizza? Also good. The wings? Very good—like, “I might fight someone for the last one” good. It’s got a solid atmosphere, with plenty of space for private events—so whether you're celebrating a birthday, hosting a top-secret pizza-eating contest, or just trying to escape your responsibilities with a pint in hand, this place has you covered. The only downside? You’ll leave with sauce on your fingers, a very full stomach, and the sudden urge to come back again tomorrow.

Great pub which has a laid back atmosphere. We order burgers, fries and pizza with one of us having the bunless burger. All delicious as always!

Just moved to Cheltenham, got suggested the bottle of sauce by my housemate! Definitely recommend!! Will be my new go to, food and bar service was amazing. I asked Anye for recommendations and was so helpful came in on Thirsty Thursdays and the Blackberry White cocktail was delicious! Anye’s customer service was excellent and made me want to come back! Would highly recommend to everyone :)

Has a room labelled the games room with no games in it.

Had an amazing vegan burger and chips here! Will definitely be coming back to try their pizzas which looked amazing! Also love that they are dog friendly.

Had a great night last with friends and babies, made even better with the great service from the team who offer hot milk for the journey home for my baby. Special mention to Concentine Gianopolous Junior, who seems to direct this well versed team. See you again soon.

I organised a work team meal out and pub quiz at the Bottle of Sauce; what a great choice it turned out to be! Rob and his staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the food was excellent, and the venue (The Canteen) was perfect for our needs. They delivered pre-ordered burgers, pizzas and side dishes for over 30 people, all within the space of about 10 minutes, and catered without issue for several dietary requirements. The burgers, pizzas and side dishes were absolutely delicious. Thanks Rob and the team at The Bottle of Sauce, I can't recommend you highly enough!

Breakfast had limited options and was very pricey for what we were served. We had to pay for a full price option and remove items when my son only wanted a bacon sandwich so 8 punds for a bacon sandwich is pretty steep

One of my favourite spots in Cheltenham - always pay them a visit when in town. The wings and burgers are delicious, they’re also well priced, and good quality. There are plenty of beers to choose from, so most people should find something they like. The staff are all really friendly and seem genuinely happy to be there.

Delicious food, friendly staff and fast service. Recommend their pizza and lunch deals. Dodo burger and the Bee Sting pizza were scrumptious.

Nice environment but drinks are overpriced

I will not return. The music was so loud that conversation was impossible. It was so loud that the bar staff couldn’t hear what I ordered so I ended up with a beef burger instead of a dirty bird and chips that were so heavily salted they were almost inedible. I’d ordered rosemary chips but there wasn’t even a hint of rosemary. It was too loud to complain because I wouldn’t have been able to make myself heard.

We had a table of 12 people and the service was great! Always hard to serve a large group but the staff were so friendly, they really did make it a great night! We had our own room too so was fab! Will book again in the future

Very nice burger took a while to arrive but was very good. The problem comes with the chips. To charge £14,50 for a burger by itself with no chips or salad feels insanely greedy no matter how good you feel your food is.

Food is nothing special but good place to go as part of even a large group for drinks and possibly food.

Eating a burger and chipped a tooth on some random hard thing in the burger. Manager didn't offer to cover the cost of food or even a round of drinks. Took my info but nothing else, walked out immediately after

What a great find. Really cool atmosphere and the food was really amazing. A little pricey but so tasty. I had the Big V vegetarian burger and the insanely delicious Truffle Parmesan Chips. Not a lot of zero alcohol options and the beer menu above the bar needed updating because my colleague’s first choice options were no longer available. Would definitely come here again though.

Celebrated with colleagues and friends at The Bottle Sauce for a party. Lovely venue, Rob and Mel really looked after everyone. The food was amazing. but beware of the spicy wings they pack a punch! Make sure you give the Toffee Wonk shots a try!

Booking was for my 40th party. We frequent the BoS often, attracted by the food service and atmosphere. Decided to have my party their and part of that was to play out first gig. Ordered some predrinks for the guests, had some tables moved, assistance with setting up, spare cables/mics etc. really fun night made easier with helpful friendly staff. 🤘

Dropped in for a Friday after work beer & burger, loving the new bun-less burger in a basket option, and the buffalo sauce still has a kick! They also serve some of the best pizza in Cheltenham, imho. Not our first visit to this excellent Dodo pub and won't be the last... The team are great at dealing with bigger group for food as well, just give them enough notice. I've brought groups of 12 - 16 in the past and always been well looked after.

At 9:30 on a Saturday evening, while sat in the book room a party of six adults and eight children came in totally swaming the area and creating a strange and very far from environment that feels like a pub. Long story short we had to leave the area as we didn’t come out to sit in a creeche. Bad bad bad atmosphere of children shouting buzzare that they are aloud here at this time.

Can't go wrong with the monthly karaoke night, and a lovely vibe always. Good beers 🍻 awesome pizza 🍕 and decent burgers 🍔 I preferred when they had the moving mountains vegan option but understand how food inflation meant it had to come off the menu!

One of my favourite pubs, met a couple of friends here for something to eat before heading out to an event, I had the Bee Sting Pizza which was lovely! Fresh and hot with plenty of flavour!

Great little pub near the town centre. Good variety of food and drinks and decently priced. Spacious outdoor area to eat or drink at too. The staff are nice and helpful. They're dog friendly too!

Went here for a work do earlier this year. Ordered a pizza..incorrect pizza arrived. Instead of replacing said pizza, I had to pay for another one. It seems the staff here are incapable of making mistakes. Instead, the customer is treated like some sort of delinquent. Staff need training in diplomacy. Poor.

Pizza and burgers are always 10/10. Buffalo wings are also great.

First time at the pub to see a band. Good venue for live music. Beer not so good. Limited choice

Met up with old school friends, husbands and children. Managed to reserve the snug bit. Food was excellent, service really good. Nothing was too much trouble. Games provided were fabulous and kept the children entertained. Great staff, food and great night. Highly recommend for groups .

I’ve just got home from a fabulous evening here . There were 16 of us for my son’s 21st birthday. The staff were brilliant from when I went to chat about booking the private room , to the food order and then the actual evening. A selection of pizza,burgers fries and burger bowls were ordered and each and everyone was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place ,and will be going again . Thank you

I ordered last night a through Deliveroo , usually I struggle to find a good pizza place nearby so I end to give up and order something else. I have tried for the first time and didn’t disappoint at all! I had the mushroom and truffle pizza extra fennel sausage. Pizza was really good , tasty , dough wasn’t chewy , crispy Crust and the fennel sausage was so similar to the Italian meat we use for sausages rather than an English kind of. Will definitely order again and visit in person! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Best burgers in Cheltenham 🍔! Reliable, tasty food in a lovely atmosphere. The Bottle of Sauce will always be a favourite of mine! 10/10.

Drinks are always nice although a bit on the expensive side (not more expensive then other places in Cheltenham). The outdoor area is nice. I must say though I always dread ordering anything here as the bar stuff is usually quite rude. I don’t think anyone ever said hello back to me, and if you’re ordering more than one drink they make a face like you’ve just ruined their life haha.

11/10 establishment, the food is equally phenomenal for every visit. We have made this a regular work social trip due to popular demand. Very easy to order and a great atmosphere. Heat lamps are available for most of the outdoor seating.

Can't believe it's taken so long to visit. Now our go to for a pint and food. Burgers are amazing. Pizza is good.

Decent beer. Decent food. It didn't have much of an ambience and it was really chilly in there, but the staff were friendly enough.

Nice local pub on the corner at the lower end of the town center. Always good service so I can't complain. Not tried their food so I can't comment on that but would recommend going when they have events on.

Great selection of burgers and pizzas. Good selection of their own beers and ciders with nice variety. You don't get a lot of fries for the price but burgers are a good size.

My go-to for the best burger and beer in town. Staff could not be nicer. My kids love it here too, and actually eat their food - free jenga, lollies and crayons too. 👌

Nice venue with a good atmosphere, plus regular events including comedy and music. Good pizzas, but the beer selection doesn't change much.

Absolute gem of a pub, great selection of alcohol with experienced staff that can mix almost everything I can think of. Went for lunch to day and ate some of the best chicken I've eaten in my life, the spices in the crust mixing with the cool, creamy buttermilk was incredible. 10/10 have recommended to everyone I like

Very happy to come here, even though it was quite and the start of the day, the out door area is huge, with lots of tables in sun spots which is nice. Food was great, both my friend and I had burgers which included a good range of began/veggie options- they went down really well. Will 100% be back

Great venue for drinks and entertainment, they need to work on promoting events happening at their venue better but they have a good selection of drinks and competent staff...also free WiFi.

Must say, the food in this pub is spot on. Buffalo sauce is one of the best I have had, and a £6 lunchtime pizza offer. Awesome ! Great working spot too.

Came in today for lunch with 3 year old. They were great with him. Can't go 5 star as card only.

We used the back room for a 30th party and the staff couldn't have been more helpful even to bringing a fan in as it was a hot day. Great space and you can pass seamlessly between the bar and the room for a breather

Nice alternative / hip local craft beer pub They've just started doing live music/bands which seemed to be very popular. Will definitely come back

Overall just a fantastic venue. Excellent burgers and pizzas and a great selection of draft beers and drinks. One of the best and most reliable venues in town.

I went on Thursday with my family. When I read comments, I thought they have a good burger but It wasn’t at all unfortunately. Firstly no body came to ask how is everything, because of being busy probably. The burger was dry and burned. I normally give fries to my baby but I couldn’t give this truffle oil fries because of full of oil. I squeezed the fries and it dripped oil, also it wasn’t good quality of oil as it was smelled bad. We couldn’t finished it. Coke cola taste like full of sugar and no acidity at all. they allow dogs.I can understand it’s great to allow dogs but I think if you have a big garden. If you have a small garden and seating area so close to each other, it’s not really good that dog comes all the time to your table. Dog is shaking and full of hair flies everywhere. Bad experience. No returning.

We organised a company day out through James @ The dodo works and had lunch at Bottle of Sauce. The space & equipment provided to 30 people was absolutely perfect, just what we were looking for. James and his team were outstanding for organisation & communication, answering any questions I had before the event. Preparing a pre order and had a well organised lunch prepared for us (with names, always helpful when someone forgets what they ordered!) It was the perfect venue for us. 100% recommend.

Had a great Steak frites burger today for lunch, some lovely flavours. Worth a try if you get a chance.

Ik liep toevallig langs, wilde nog biertje drinken en dus naar binnen. Ik vroeg of ze nog iets lekkers lokaals hadden. En nog geen vijf minuten binnen en ik had al vijf proefglaasjes bier achter de kiezen. Jammer genoeg had ik een reservering 'n uurtje later en kon dus niet blijven. Wat fijne kroeg en toffe mensen achter de bar. Als ik ooit nog eens in Cheltenham kom....kom ik ook in de Bottle of Sauce.

Great food, great atmosphere. Paul & Alex were extremely friendly and you won't find a better burger in Chelt'm. 10/10.

Great craft ale bar, the food is really good and offers a twist to the usual pub offerings I recommend the parmesan truffle chips
