We had the pleasure to eat at The Botanist (Sloane Square) after a long day of sightseeing. The atmosphere of the restaurant was relaxing and the servers were courteous and kind, they even offer to debone the fish for us (the sole was incredible), the food was excellent and the price are reasonable for a service of this quality. After 3 days in london this might be our favourite restaurant yet ! We highly recommand this restaurant to anyone near Sloane Square.

Service is amazing, staff are very nice and friendly. Atmosphere is good and beautiful interior design. I got some cocktails. I wasn’t quite satisfied with them, my cosmo was sweeter than it should be. I didn’t try any food there.

Came here on a Saturday night for some cocktails with the family. Angelica looked after us, thank you.

1. Crab and lobster risotto cake was average. The lump meat on top was tough. Did not appreciate the crab and lobster flavors as much as I would have liked although the texture of the risotto was perfect. 2. Cornish lemon sole on the bone was perfect. Fish was perfectly cooked and flavorful. Would definitely have that again. 3. Chicken Avocado salad was average. The salad itself was tasty, but the chicken was dry and not enjoyable at all. 4. Roast heritage summer squash was excellent. Excellent flavors and textures. Would have again: the sole and roast squash. Would not have again: the chicken/avocado salad or crab/lobster cake.

A disappointing decline… I recently visited for breakfast, an experience that was regrettably subpar from start to finish. Our meal took an inordinately long time to arrive and was far from worth the wait. My boyfriend ordered the Full English breakfast, which was served cold. The scrambled eggs were overcooked, and the portion of beans was both minimal and cold. My Eggs Benedict was similarly disappointing, arriving cold and lacking in flavour—certainly not worth the money. The service further marred our visit. Seated outside, we had a single waiter who was clearly overextended, managing both indoor and outdoor tables. This resulted in a prolonged wait of 30 minutes with our finished plates left in front of us. I requested the bill three times, and it took the staff an additional 20 minutes to process our payment, on top of the initial wait. To their credit, another waiter did remove the service charge without issue after we lodged a complaint and asked him to do so. However, this small gesture was not enough to redeem the overall disappointing experience. Having once been a favourite of mine, The Botanist no longer justifies its high prices, especially with numerous other excellent dining options in the area. It’s a shame to see such a decline in both food quality and service at a once-beloved establishment.

I visited The Botanist Sloane Square yesterday afternoon with my family. The food was fresh, the atmosphere was elegant and relaxed but the best aspect was the service. Our waiter Hari was prompt, efficient & friendly and he made our experience wonderful. The Botanist is lucky to have such an asset!

Lovely sunny afternoon in sloane Square and we decided to stop for a drink and a quick snack. Fast friendly service and yummy fresh meats and breads.

Throughly enjoyed my dinner at this wonderful gem near sloane square. Highly recommend the Isle of Wright tomatoes, salt marsh lamb rack as well as both strawberry cheesecake and hazelnut Praline choux, Service was impeccable and atmosphere welcoming.

Visited this restaurant before a concert just around the corner and the service was great, the blue cheese burger was very good. Good selection of wines. However, dessert was a bit underwhelming. The atmosphere was lively, our table had a nice view of the square.

A quiet afternoon late lunch/early dinner was lovely. A nice break on a rainy afternoon. Food was delicious with definite attention to detail. Lovely clean toilet facilities notably worth mentioning in London. Great attention from our waitress Elena and a lively interaction with the manager Chris. So lovely to have an interaction with management and great table service. Gluten free with a smile and care. We will be back hopefully before the refurbishment, but definitely after!

The Botanist provides very good and reasonably priced food. However, their greatest asset is their staff. Everyone was extremely friendly but our special thanks go to our waitress Angelina - her attitude of 'nothing is too difficult' and her intelligent conversation made our evening. One small complaint - the wine list is designed to discourage drinking. The Spanish house red was just OK but the next one up, an Italian at £38, wasn't any better. All the rest starts hitting the £50 mark, so we didn't try. Too expensive, in my view, when compared to the food pricing.

We gathered at Botanist from all across London. It was a beautiful central location but not surrounded by too many tourists. We had bottomless drinks which they were kind enough to allow us to switch drinks through the brunch. Food was great too. Especially their fries was incredibly crunchy. But the most impressive part was the service. Our waiter was incredibly attentive, wouldn't miss a beat, everything was being delivered in a timely manner and at no time we felt we had to wait. She's done a superb job managing a table of 9 people. Hopefully to come back soon to try other food too. ☺️

This place was borderline ok. I ordered the American blueberry pancakes from the menu. They served me plain pancakes with raspberry jam, which was odd. Service was slow. I wouldn’t go back.

My boyfriend and I went to The Botanist in Sloane Square for early dinner and the restaurant truly knocked it out of the park! Our waitress Angelina, who we trusted for all of our food recommendations did not lead us astray. Dinner was phenomenal. The wine was delicious. We drank a beer at the outside tables. You order and pay online, the waiters arrive after a few minutes to serve you. Excellent and functional.

An excellent place to have a drink and hang out with friends. The service was excellent, and a girl named Angelina was very friendly and got us a table quickly.

Amazing venue! I loved the atmosphere and the cocktails were top notch - I really enjoyed my vodka martini and their signature cocktails! The staff were so attentive as well and made sure we are happy and looked after. I’m definitely visiting again!

Menu was the right size but still not considered it balanced enough to be able and put together a main plus side more on the healthy side, salad main etc and pricey for the offering overall for both drinks and food. Service was bad and tap water was scarce.

Simple service levels and customer service not at equivalent establishment levels. Avoid if in need of good time with friends as the wait soured compadres.

It was the best restaurant I visited in London, the place is in a very wooded area. I even left North Finchley to visit the place and it was worth it. Furthermore, the service is wonderful. I was served by Angelina and she was very attentive in explaining the menu to me, it was the best service I had in my 30 days in London. If any Brazilian asks me for a cool place in London, I will definitely recommend this one.

I was quite dissatisfied with the staff. I made a reservation which clearly indicated that we were going to have the set menu. On arrival the set menu was not on the table so I raised it with the waiter. She said that they did not know that we had asked for that menu. She made me doubt about my reservation. I had to go into my screenshots to show the waiter the terms of my reservation. Still and after seeing the screenshot which showed clearly that my reservation was the set menu, she said that she had to go and check with the chef. At that point I was quite annoyed with the restaurant. She then came back and said that they were able to have us having dinner on the set menu. I was about to walk out of the restaurant at that point. However I did change my mind as it was my friend’s birthday. Very uncomfortable experience. If only they had checked my reservation before hand it would have been a lovely evening.

This used to be a wonderful place to take a rest while visiting Sloane Square, London, however what used to be great customer service, has now all but evaporated 😭 no more happy smiles from staff, very slow poor service and a resulting depressed atmosphere. It is sad to see how far this once great place has fallen. I also found out that they DO NOT let you pay your bill with cash 😲 considering the deliberate discrimination towards cash users, the complete lack of service from the staff, and the ever high prices I DO NOT recommend anyone use this establishment, especially as there are far better coffees to be had in other local food shop and cafes. I won't be returning to here anytime soon.

Came here recently for brunch on a warm London afternoon. We sat inside but the big windows were open so it felt like outside. Food was delicious (English breakfast and eggs Benedict) and our server Angelina was lovely. It also wasn’t overly mobbed like some of the other places in the area. We would definitely recommend!

A very nice spot at a convergence of streets in the Fulham area. A great spot to have a drink and eat a snack to share. It is very enjoyable to see people passing by and the great movement there is.

Today we just came inside for a hot cocktail and truffle fries the manager he was having a fake smile on his face he bring a fries without truffle even didn’t apologise, after I asked for. Hot Penicillin cocktail he said ok and he bring a cold one , ireturn the cocktail , in a very rude maniers he offer another 2 cocktails and he said if u will not liked it what u will gonna do , at the end he bring a irish coffe without a whipped cream on top and spoon , and giving a bad attitude and maniers and our table like he was my guest not me , I been before and I liked the place but this time was very bad and I was disappointed Don’t know his name but was with glasses and wearing a suit!

The "foccacia" with the red pepper tapenade was toasted white bread. The negroni was served in a fancy contraption but it eventually tipped over and spilled on my dates dress. We had to ask for tap water three times when all we wanted was to use it to dab off the stain on her dress.

We have been coming here for several years, the service is the best, they give 110% Nothing is too much trouble for Umberto and his team, they are all passionate about their work and they are great fun, they personally always want to ensure you are happy with your choice of cocktail. Nico and his team are equally passionate and always ensure, our experience is unforgettable! I have never seen such a great team at work, I love it when they changed shifts, they greet each other hugs, genuine respect! Whoever employs the Botanist team, it a great judge of character, they all rock! Thanx

Bad experience, the worst in London and for me it is very rare because I I am very attentive when I choose a cocktail bars or restaurants. I came with my husband last Wednesday and we definitely decided to not come back again. We lost time , a lot of time and money and after that , we opted for anothr cocktail bar nearby, beter experience in terms of customer service. We popped in, none approached us, none greated us, none believes in the importance of Eye Contact especially when you are busy, understaffed and customer has to wait. Obviously we can but just try to encourage us to hold. We had the feeling that they had enough with customers at 6:30pm. After a lot of time, we sat at the bar , we waited a lot for 2 easy cocktails, loud music, we could not talk each other, we left as soon as we finished our drinks. We did not see the Big Group there is behind this venue. From what we experienced I believe that just regulars customers are treated well so that's why they get some (not all of them) nice reviews. I also do not like the robotic way to reply to the bad reviews, like if you do not care about what we say as customers ,so please do not do it. You opened a terrace in the sqare, spring time just came and you do not have staff?

What a rude restaurant. A place I never want to go again. A place I wasted my time paying to buy it again. I ordered food, but it didn't come out for over an hour. I even saw two tables of customers who came later than us leaving the restaurant after finishing their meal. I've heard that England is a country of gentlemen, but this restaurant makes me think the worst .

I waited 1 hour for just a pizza. and someone got her food faster than me who ordered later than me. I felt racism here and I will never back here. They are 18 gorgeous babies hahaha.

Ordered Bread and Olives before starters. Bread came out after starters, even though we repeatedly asked where our bread was. Told waitress one of us had a serious Dairy allergy. The mussels came out with a sauce that had cream in it and was only investigated when we said it looked like it had dairy in sauce. A side order came out that we didn’t order but we were told it was from the chef. We thought as some sort of apology but we were charged for them. The overall service was slow. We ended up paying for the side order as it was taking too long to sort. We had no apology for problems from the Manager. Shame as food was good. The table next to us had been waiting 2hrs for their man course.

This place is a disaster. If you don't want to ruin an evening, don't go there. All the dishes that arrived at our table were cold. The kitchen is downstairs and they only have a small lunchbox to bring dishes to the table. Plus it took them two hours. I had to stuff myself with bread and butter. Two sandwiches for £10 and you wait 10 minutes for them. Plus it costs £80 each. If you don't want to ruin an evening, don't go there

Service subpar, massively overpriced. We had the carpaccio and chicken on the pre-theatre menu, food was nice. But the service was nowhere to be seen, they wouldn’t look in our direction and we had to wait for a long time every time we needed to order. They didn’t bring water for the table until the end of the meal. Deserts were average (and very limited choice). Cocktails were good but tiny!!! Also this was an important birthday and I had included a note with the booking to make it somewhat special. Nothing was done differently, except at the very end, after paying and when we were about to leave, they brought 4 chocolates on a plate with a candle. That was unexpected at that point (we were literally about to put on our coats), and was more weird than a nice surprise. They didn’t inquire whose birthday it was, just guessed and randomly dropped the plate in front of one of us. Overall bill for 2 meals and 2 cocktails £140. Overall disappointed, we’ve been celebrating there for years, haven’t been in over the last couple of years but definitely disappointed.

Dropped in on Saturday night for a drink before heading to a concert. We had friends visiting from another country and wanted to take them somewhere special. So disappointed in how we were treated by the team. I was ushered to a table and when my friends came to join me, they were told by staff that they couldn’t sit there as the table was for 2 people only. This was reiterated to me in a way that made it sound like it was my fault that I hadn’t been asked how many people were in our party. We were eventually seated at another table, but left after one drink. We all agreed that we were made to feel unwelcome and as a result, we will not be returning. Such as shame as it seemed it like it could be a really nice place.

I enjoyed a pre-theater dinner conveniently located and quick service. The menu offered nice choices that our party of sampled. Creative salad and tender lamb. I would come again to taste the cod&oyster that some neighbours seemed to appreciate.

My old buddy took me for a quick cocktail here before moving on, just before NY. As said elsewhere, it was a bit expensive but high quality. Atmosphere was quiet but this may have been seasonal. Would go again if in vicinity of my favourite shop in the world.

Ran in on a last minute decision on a rainy evening. The server was amazing, the salmon salad and cod fresh as you get, with perfectly cooked string beans and fries. Highly recommend.

One waiter seemed grumpy, the other staff really lovely. Be aware of their policy: all members of your group need to be ordering a meal in order to sit at a table (despite several being available) the others have to sit at the bar... however manager overruled and allowed us to sit together. Food is varied and good, sometimes surprising. Small portions. Wine pricey.

Great service at the bar and excellent french 75s Bizarrely we were asked to move from tables in the bar area to sit in the restaurant. Seems like they have their locals/favourites and they move everyone else around them... An eclectic mix of patrons. Outside is good for people watching!!

Convenient, decent food. Loads of staff, poorly organised with no idea how to keep an eye on tables and serve. It's not that difficult, still I guess their mobile phones were really interesting ! 1hour and 40 minutes to get the main course. What can you expect for a £450 bill.
