Good tasty pub food, we had burgers, loaded chips, curry and drinks. The service was great very friendly, food was plentiful and hot, drinks were a bit pricey but the food was more than worth the money, a good pub to stop at

Good enough although we went in when it was fairly quiet so the atmosphere was subdued. Seating outside is ok if you get the sun.

Personal amable y encargada. Muy acogedor. Bandas en vivo todos los sábados por la noche para satisfacer una mezcla de sabores. Buena comida en particular el asado los domingos.

I have just started to visit the Boscawen Hotel, as I go to St Dennis Club once a week. The staff are always friendly, the beer is good and the Mixed Grill is excellent, though could probably be better served on a bigger plate. 100% will go there again. Top class.

Stopped in here on a Thursday for lunch and could not fault it. 2 of us had ham, egg and chips and another had a ciabata. All good and made even better with a dessert for an extra 5p!!! Will certainly be back.

Much better atmosphere than before but the beer selection leaves a lot to be desired. If they had better beer I would go back. Which is a shame as I live in the village. So still no good place here for a good piny

Yes it’s our local and we love Sally and Tony to bits but if the Sunday Roast wasn’t up to scratch, I wouldn’t review it. Cor, Sally does a great roast. Elaine’s roasts are superb and I am totally spoiled so I certainly wouldn’t be tempted unless it was first class, and this is. The meat and veg are local and hand peeled and chopped to order – no mass-production here and Sally does it all single-handed while Tony pulls pints of sumptuous guest-ales and Michelle serves. Michelle is an absolute treasure. With perhaps forty covers during Sunday lunch, she manages to spend time with each and every diner, making you feel that you are the most important customer in the room. After your melt-in-the-mouth beef or soft pork and crispy-fluffy-golden taters, you may have room for pudding. Make sure you do because you don’t know what a dessert is until you’ve eaten Sally’s home made cakes, trifles and puddings. This is one of the few traditional pubs left and it has a cosiness that is hard to find these days. And the locals: no grumpy looking bandits, here. Everyone likes to see a new face and everyone feels it is a bit of a compliment that folks on holiday, motoring through the Clay villages on their travels between Newquay, St Austell and The Eden Project, would stop in their unassuming village, where, by the way, you can still park in the street outside the pub.

Sally's lunches are the tops. You need to have a big appetite though because she not only does quality she does quantity. Had lunch there last Sunday with my niece and nephew and their partners and they had travelled 300 miles and thought it was great. We already knew it would be. In addition to Sally you are always guaranteed a friendly welcome by Tony, Michelle and Ian.

You need a big appetite to have the LARGE meal, a medium I can just about manage. Top quality Sunday Roast with perfect roast potatoes and the biggest variety of vegetable you can imnagine. See if you can find room for the delicious dessert. Sally and Tony are fine hosts.

Very welcoming, Great ice cream flavours. Especially the Ferrero Roche and Millionaires shortbread. Lady went above and beyond for our dog letting her sit in the shade on a 25 degree day to enjoy her pup cup. Thank you!

the only place open on a Sunday on St Martins! So glad it was open, it was absolutely heaving but we got there in time to get seats and what was left of the cakes and drinks.
