Sadly it is not as good as it was , we went for breakfast my husband wanted big breakfast , they only do this at weekends .The server was lovely was very helpful and suggested it in a bap.He left the vegan sausage as it was tasteless.I had the bacon with maple syrup and a waffle , the bacon was scarce and the waffle over cooked. I don’t think we will be going back we used to love it when the previous tenants were there. It's no where near as busy as it used to be which is a bit of a indication as to its popularity .Reduce the rent and bring back the other owners please

My husband enjoyed his waffle , I had the quiche which was bland fairly tasteless and was probably yesterdays not worth the money

Great location for casual eating on a sunny day. Not a bakery. Maybe they have plans for one… The food was ok but nothing special. I think I was expecting something a bit more interesting from the descriptions on the menu. What was outrageous was the price for the children’s menu and the quality of the food served - A few raisins in a tiny carton imported from Turkey, a carton of fruit juice, a packet of crisps and a jam sandwich all for £7. This could have been served unpackaged for a fraction of the price.

Great cafe good breakfast / brunch/ lunch menu .Staff always very friendly and helpful.Best coffee for miles around .They have added more items to the lunch menu which is great.Only downside it is getting so popular it might be hard to find an empty table , but it’s well worth a wait

I feel like lots of complaints in the reviews are actually part of the reason I love it here. Staff are incredibly laid back and welcoming which makes it a really calm, non judgmental space to take young children. Nothing is perfect and that really takes the stress out of trying to keep kids quiet/seated. I have never had to wait long to receive food which is always delicious and the coffee is the best around (for miles). However, the best part of the cafe is feeling like bringing kids with you is an asset rather than a nuisance. Highly recommend.

When I heard there was a new Spring menu here I couldn’t wait to see it and I wasn’t disappointed, it is impressive! I went for the N.A.C.H.O.S, although the look of the Sausage Roll Wellington almost turned this veggie’s head. Anyone who is seeking the perfect bowl of Nachos needs to try them here… a mountain of a bowl stacked high with salsa, guacamole, sour cream and Jalapeños- the best bit though was that there was melted cheese all the way to the bottom- Perfect! 👏👏

First visit and I'd have to say quite favourable. I was in the trade for over 20 years and it impresses me when a chef (Dan) turns out simple food with lots of taste. Well Done. My guest was a prolific and accomplished baker so we just 'had' to try the cakes. Again very good - although when you can eat a carrot cake with four teaspoon fulls it's NOT cheap. Cutlery: not fancy (it doesn't need to be in this setting) but it was comfortable to use - a point that so so often overlooked - especially if your clientele is of a mature age - A subtle but very important point. So, it's not particularly Bohemian - or particularly a bakery - (wholemeal cough cough) but I do wonder that the idea is that it develops that way? We'll come back and wish you success in these changing/challenging times Edit: you might like to check out there Fakebook page for vehicle themed events and dog of the week

We visited on 6th March. It was ‘ok.’ The food itself was really nice…the homemade pancakes were absolutely delicious. Some of the staff members are very friendly and accommodating. However, there are a few who let the experience down. We ordered two orange juices but they didn’t arrive. Our food was brought over and we asked where the drinks were. The waitress said nothing and went to the fridge, which is accessed within the cafe area, and asked if we wanted cartons (?) or bottles. We said ‘bottles’ and she asked if we wanted glasses to which we said ‘yes.’ They never arrived, so we took two plastic glasses from above the fridge. We’d have hoped for proper glasses but hey ho. My mum’s soup arrived and it was advertised as being with bread and a cheese scone, but only the scone was brought out. She queried this with the waitress who looked at her blankly, so we had to explain and we all looked at the menu on the wall. She didn’t apologise and made it all feel very awkward and just said ‘I’ll go and check.’ Someone else brought out the bread about five minutes later. Contrary to Boho Bakery’s response to another review, there were three plates of brownies and other cakes completely uncovered on the counter. On the whole, Boho Bakery is alright for a brunch or lunch, as long as you don’t mind spending more than in most places and waiting a little longer than usual. Oh, and it’s not the place for you if you’re not keen on dogs.

This café had been recommended to us, so we thought we'd give it a try for lunch today. I think perhaps I went with faulty expectations - I expected somewhere called a Bakery to have a lot more baking going on than a few bar cakes and some toasties, and also expected a rather more 'bohemian' experience than a rather bare barn with a closed off indoor seating area. Said seating area was OK, but felt cramped (just a couple fewer tables would have helped a lot) as it was busy, and the acoustics were terrible - not helped by a very yappy dog at a neighbouring table. The coffee, however was good, and the aforementioned toasties (we opted for the brie, cranberry and bacon) not bad - if I were ever to return I'd skip the bacon, which was very hard and a bit chewy - and the service, whilst a bit haphazard, was OK. But at the end of the day, it's also about value, and it wasn't worth the over £22 bill. The drive over was lovely - it's in a very beautiful area, and I can see it being ideal for walkers/cyclists. I also suspect that being able to sit out in some sunshine on a warm day would be a very different experience.

Go here if you like "very laid back", but we were hesitant that it isn't covering all food on counters, and there was a dog creating a problem with an on-lead dog whose owner was trying to eat. Food looks nice but we were uncomfortable about people at the counter directly over open food like scones, and the dog wandering around looking for food underneath tables which caused the altercation with the customer's dog. Nobody stepped in to ask for it to be put on a lead (it needs to be a policy where food is being served or young kiddies are around) or apologise to the lady, so it was possibly a little rustic and chaotic for us, we'd hoped to get a relaxed coffee and then lunch for the four of us, but we just did coffee in the end. Great building and car park. Coffee was really nice. If you like a laid back buzz then its a great vibe. Some good outdoor space for summer.

Nice first impression. Cosy ambiance & lovely location. From there it went downhill! I asked what the quiche & soup of the day were & the staff didn't know?? Staff should know this, or say 'I will find out for you' , I had to ask again if they could possibly find out!!! I ordered the soup. which was lukewarm & so thick , served with a desert spoon (not a soup spoon) & white bread. No butter was offered & I would have liked brown bread. Service was very slow & staff were not interested at all. Very over priced.

Such a great find ! Such a lovely, quirky place in a nice setting. Plenty of parking too. The cafe itself was warm and cosy then there’s lots more tables outside (covered) in the barn. Nicely decorated for Christmas. The staff were really friendly and really accommodating with my 4 year old. The food and coffee were delicious. I had the cauliflower cheese quiche (salad and crisps) and a peppermint mocha. Everything looked and sounded good ! Will definitely be a regular !

My first visit at the weekend. It was pleasantly busy given the early hour, the weather and it's 'off the beaten path' location. Nice selection of food, drinks etc. You can expect a warm welcome for dogs, with home-made treats available for them. Will come again. Of note, there's a car meet every 3rd Sunday so look forward to seeing more of that.

The ‘full English’ breakfast at £10.95 is expensive for what arrives on the plate. 1 egg, 2 skinny sausages, 2 small and overcooked rashers, a small pot of beans and 2 rounds of toast. The coffees are small. Orders slow to come out and the place is disorganised. Been here about 3 times and always disappointed! But, nice venue, good parking and very popular, so what do I know!

Boho Bakery hosted mine and my sisters 50th birthday bash. We could not fault anything, from planning to execution it was perfect in every way. Everything agreed and put in writing so we knew what costs to expect. The food was exceptional, the staff couldn’t be more helpful and attentive. We had a winter themed party mainly Apres ski, all food and drink was themed to this, included arrival drinks of snowballs & aperol spritz, tartiflette, grazing boards, French wines etc All dietary requirements catered for. Would highly recommend. A big thank you to Pennie, Dave & Team.

The restaurant offers well-prepared British food at reasonable prices. Service is swift and friendly. There is a good wine list with plenty of choice at the cheaper end. Vegetarians and vegans are catered for as well as those after a good meat meal. The chefs clearly take a pride in presentation and desserts are better than average. This restaurant is worth the journey into the hills on the outskirts of Gloucester.

Very nice pub, we randomly stopped here because it was on our way to a ghost hunt in the area, and we are so glad we stopped here, the pub was nice and clean, the mother daughter team that run it was really friendly, and the food was outstanding, very well presented, great prices and yummy! We are going back in December and I’m very much looking forward to it.

The building and setting at Leaf and Ground is beautiful. I’ve been here before but never eaten in the cafe so wasn’t sure what to expect. We pre-booked a table as we were meeting a friend with their family, making our group 9 people (4 adults and 5 kids). They did charge £5 per person as a deposit but we were glad we could book a guarantee a space for our party. Service was a little slow at points, drinks took awhile to arrive and had to grab someone’s attention to order food. However the food didn’t take too long - it was also delicious and very good quality. I had the chicken parm which was tasty, and my husband had ham, egg and chips, both were very decent sized portions. I would agree with other comments about the kids fries being salty, they were fine to my taste but the kids weren’t especially keen (they don’t normally have salt on their food) - so it might be worth taking that on board for future. We then enjoyed a walk around the grounds after lunch (the kids loved romping around the woodland area). We then had a stop at the kiosk for ice cream/milkshakes, followed by a trip to the kids play area. A very pleasant way to spend a sunny October afternoon and we will be back :)

We arrived in Stroud mid afternoon on a Saturday. The kids were starving and every other place we tried to get into was in the process of shutting. Despite Stroud being packed, Milano appeared to be the only place open that was still doing lunch or any type of food for that matter ! The lady behind the counter was super friendly and everything that we had to eat was tasty and really good value too. My youngest especially liked the Spag Bol and the proper milk shake made with ice cream. Don`t be put off by some of the reviews on here, it`s a nice place and really friendly. Just don`t go in expecting a restaurant, the clue is in the word cafe !
