The Boathouse in the Marina in Arun

Normally had breakfast when family came over, tea and cake as I live near by. service was excellent food and always busy was the perfect place in the summer. Unfortunately as from the new year 2024 it's closed! 😕

Stopped for a few coffees. Lovely views over the marina and pleasant setting. Sadly had to chase for my second coffee and the prices charged for coffee was some of the highest I ever experienced anywhere.

First time, certainly not last, despite a long way from home. Get there Wednesday lunchtime as 241 fish and chips! Kedgeree weren't bad either.

Popped in for a burger and a pint and amazing, absolutely amazing burger and I am fussy.... will definitely be back, can't wait!

Just had lunch here. Outstanding! Sandwiches are amazing, fillings a so fresh and light. Service was impeccable. Atmosphere was great! Will be back!

Went for tapas (Friday and Saturdays only), limited but tasty selection of items. Followed that with dessert, a nice selection of desserts and beautiful cakes are on offer. Great, airy ambiance, light decor and spacious, with an outdoor seating area too. Small but good selection of wines, beers and spirits, including alcohol free. Ingredients are sourced from local suppliers wherever possible. We're now breakfast regulars too.

Places like this so much deserve to do well. We met with friends for a day in littlehampton being locals they obviously knew how good the food and service at the boathouse was so booked us all a table for lunch. It definitely lived up to its reputation. I was so pleased that as an added bonus they are also dog friendly. Our next visit to Littlehampton will entail another visit to The Boathouse.

Great afternoon in the Boathouse watching Rod Stewart tribute act. The show was really good great atmosphere and enjoyable . We had the Sunday roast which was very nice

Clean place, good service, however the price is quite high. Not sure it's warranted. We had breakfast and it was cold. Ham on the eggs Benedict was too substantial - could not taste anything else. It looked good though.

We took my 93 year old Mum here for lunch today. The beer battered fish and chips were gorgeous. Hubby enjoyed his burger and chips too. Huge portions (smaller ones available on various days) the staff were very welcoming and the restaurant was light and airy with an outside decking overlooking the Marina. A lovely place to lunch away from the crowds. It's a little hidden gem, but definitely worth a visit.

Lovely cafe/restaurant at Little Hampton marina serving breakfasts, and lunches as well as teas,coffee and lovely cakes. Special lunch menus for OAP's on Thursdays including fish and chips. Good parking and lovely views over the river Arun and boats. Dog friendly.

The food was ok. Service was a bit hit and miss - was hard to catch staff's attention. Music was ridiculously loud for such a small restaurant venue, where people were eating and trying to talk - it's not a night club with people up dancing!! We asked for it to be turned down a few times...it was, but then was turned up again. The singer was out of tune at times which made it even worse! We won't be going back!

Booked a table for Sunday lunch and music today 6th August. On arrival told they had overbooked. Said we can sit outside for meal (on a bench) then come back inside on the bar stools (presumably available) to listen to the music. We were very disappointed, we were looking forward to the lunch and music. Didn't feel Julie was particularly bothered when we said we would leave it. Have been to numerous events and lunches with friends, obviously supporting her business. I am not usually one to complain but felt very upset as we were looking forward to the venue. We will not be visiting the Boathouse again which is unfortunate. Think she needs to seriously sought her booking system, not a good policy to tell people who have booked a table, that there isn't one.

First time here for breakfast and everything was nice. Latte=lovely Poached eggs in crushed avocado toast with chilli=just what we wanted. Light creamy crushed avocado, crisp sourdough toast lightly chillies. Nice, clean cheery restaurant! Will return soon.

First visit to the boathouse with our elderly friend. Sloped walkway extremely useful as he walks with two sticks and is visually impaired. Staff friendly and accommodating and food was freshly made and served.. lovely relaxed atmosphere in a perfect setting….

A very pleasant late lunch visit to the Boathouse demonstrated very friendly customer service and excellent awareness of gluten-free requirements. The sandwiches served with fries and salad were excellent

A group of us came for dinner here for my sister's Hen party a few weeks ago and it was great! The Friday night tapas were incredible - we ordered most things off the menu and all shared and every single dish was delicious. The staff were really friendly too and the location was beautiful - you have to wander through the marina to get to it but it is well worth the little detour away from the town centre. Unfortunately this isn't a local place for us or we would be back frequently based on the quality of food! Very much recommend stopping for a meal if you're in Littlehampton - especially on a Friday when they do tapas!

Breakfast of 2 poached eggs on granary toast with avocado. Cooked to perfection, reasonably priced compared to other venues in the area, with a lovely view of the river Arun.

Had a Saturday lunch there. not too busy.seafood platter for two would recomend

i used to go and eat here a lot with my family in the past wheny aunt used to work here and i used to enjoy watching the boats be launched into the river and seeing boats go by.

Best eggs benedict in Sussex! Husband thoroughly enjoyed his breakfast too. Welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, very clean. Will definitely be returning!

Came here with my mum for a mother's day breakfast,and wanted somewhere I could bring the dog too which this place is perfect for a well behaved doggy coffee lunch/brunch stop. Food was great all items on a full breakfast had the taste and look of local produce rather than cheap rubbish very nice and reasonable priced. Mum had poached eggs and smoked salmon and again couldn't fault them. Young staff maybe a little skatty but it was mother's day morning and getting increasingly busy so not gonna blame them for a few lapses in service. Found out there are doing tapas nights so we will be back for that, checked the menu out while there and it sounds great 🤞

Daughter in law's birthday party. Food was excellent best calamari ever, the service and staff were excellent. Lovely singer who kept the children entertained would highly recommend.

Nice view of boats despite horrible industrial area over the river. Deco slightly drab (plastic flowers and some tut. Outside area needs attention and a clean up. But regulars seem to tolerate thus with slightly lower standards.

Had a terrible meal here, took picture evidence of the meal and they acknowledged that it was bad. They claim that a meal would never go out from the kitchen like that so clearly don’t even know what they’re serving. When asking for a full refund (from a very expensive meal) they were only able to refund half the price as it had to go to cost of the entertainment, which is a poor excuse. After many emails and phone calls back and forth and about 2 months waiting on this refund they finally got it to me. Extremely disappointed with the services from Julie and her customer approach. Safe to say never going back.

Visited on Saturday for lunch after a lovely walk along the coastline. The Fish and Chips were amongst the best I've ever had and my wife's Tomato and Pepper soup was lovely also. Wonderful waiting staff too. The Boat House kindly offered a 10% discount for Veterans / Blue Light, which just made it all the better. Will return again very soon.

Another fantastic breakfast from here. Always brilliant service and great quality food at a decent price. No matter the weather, always worth coming here. Family friendly. Dog friendly. Perfect for what we need!

This place has taken a nose dive!!! It must be making a ton of money when it opens as it’s always CLOSED. Give it a miss, not worth the diversion off the main road. Just keep on going.

Great place for food and entertainment. We had the Rod Stewart tribute act on Sunday lunchtime who was exceptionally good. Opted for the roast pork which arrived in abundance along with a large Yorkshire pudding and plenty of veg and roasties. Highly recommend and will definitely return.

Great hidden gem set in Littlehampton Marina. Friendly service and beautifully prepared dishes. They have a fully stocked bar offering a range of wines, beers and soft drinks. Well executed tapas menu with locally sourced ingredients. We had about 10 dishes, 2 bottles of wine, a beer and a soft drink and paid approximately £26 a head. 9/10 would recommend.

A nice restaurant in the Marina with a decent selection of food. It has good access for disabilities and friendly helpful staff.

We stopped for breakfast recently. The food came very quickly and was pipping hot. My son loved the children's brunch. The weather was bad when we were there, but on a nice day the view down the river estuary would be great.

Popped in for breakfast but just missed it 😒 then was told lunch service wouldn't be for another hour so ended up having two coffees and a slice of cake for £9.

Sorry to say but big disappointment from my last visit. Firstly staff very polite clean and tidy . But . Good quality food but badly executed. Only warm, no colour on sausages (cooked but no colour) bacon when reheated didnt have fat rendered away . Mushrooms barely cooked . Overall not good. Before iv given this place 5/5 but sorry not today.

I have been here a few times and enjoyed it. However today was dissapointing. Popped in for a coffee to watch the boats and had a latte. I was pleased that they had whole milk (usally a good sign) BUT the coffee wasn't nice - very bitter despite the whole milk. I don't know if this was down to the coffee used or the way it was made but needs looking into. Otherwise a great place so long as you're not a coffee drinker!

Been meaning to come for some time. But as it was my Birthday I wanted to try something local. I had an amazing burger and my hubby has mussles which he said were just amazing. We also shared a sticky toffee pudding which was delicious. Everything was great, staff were really lovely, service very good..all in all a great birthday lunch. Highly recommend and will definitely go back soon. Thanks guys 👍

Lovely brightly decorated cafe with excellent views of the marina, serving deliciously different food for a snack served by attentive and welcoming staff that are very helpful to your needs. There are blankets for the customers that wish to sit outside on cooler days. This is my second time visiting and would definitely return.
