Nice spot on a sunny day. Found a table by the lake. Ordered English Breakfasts for parentals at £6.50 each so not cheap. Breakfast was rough and cheap. The tomatoes were what looked like reheated tinned stewed tomatoes, a single heated up sausage, bacon was okish, baked beans, fried egg with solid cooked yolk. Just rough. It looked revolting tbh. All the hot drinks came in disposable cups with plastic lids. What's wrong with a cup, a proper cup. The menu isn't massive mostly so dishes and panninis so at least make the effort to do a decent breakfast at that price. I'm sure the sandwiches are OK. All the bits of cake were sliced and embalmed in clingfilm. It all just felt cheap, while not being cheap. Anyway. Nice view, nice spot. Could be so so so much better.

Gt little cafe. Terri, the young lady in charge, appeared pleased to see us again and the food provided was wholesome and plentiful. We had bacon and chicken sandwiches and home made lasagne. Our 4yr old grandson was with us and the cafe was welcoming and friendly.

We received a warm welcome. Lovely staff. Great coffee, yummy bread pudding and the scotch eggs were the best I’d ever had. Ok, the cafe is a bit quirky and basically furnished, but we enjoyed our visit. It’s also dog friendly.

As its name suggests, the Boat House Cafe in Barton's Point Coastal Park is ideally situated on the side of a lake. It has a large car park and to one side there is a large picnic area with picnic tables. This was the first time we had been to this area of Kent and we decided to go for a cup of coffee before going for a walk along the beach. However, the late breakfast being eaten by another customer looked so good that we decided to stop for lunch. There was a good choice on the menu and very friendly and helpful staff soon sorted out a meal for my wife, who is Gluten Free. My pasta and Bolognese sauce was delicious. The portion sizes were more than ample and good value for money. An added bonus was that the cafe was dog friendly. This was an extremely rewarding first visit and we will certainly be calling here again the next time we are in the area.

It was my first visit today with friends who had been before. The cafe staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming. Our food and drinks were great and we enjoyed a wander around the park too. I’ll definitely go back with my family

On a winters day with the fire lit you feel as if you have gone back in time.. I really like the place except you can't get to the place easily if it's raining as there are huge pot holes in the car park. I don't like dogs being allowed to run around out of control either. In winter they supply hot water bottles to keep away the chill. Love that idea. great view of the water too. They could make much more of the outside in the summer. Still worth a visit. Sometimes I have found it shut though.

Nice atmosphere in the cafe, quite a lot to look at and do. Kids liked the board games which u could grab and play. Nice cup of tea, the cappuccino was naff. Hubby reckons it's a packet mix not a proper cappuccino from a machine. A few choices of cake - generic muffin, gingerbread men, flapjack and cookie and that was literally all the choice. Food smelt lovely. Average prices for a cafe attached to a country park area. Breakfast, £5, hot chocolate £2, bacon sandwich £3 to give you an idea of cost. Looked clean, quite rustic bet it's cosy when the log burner is on.

The PIrates are visiting 6th of August. brilliant day out .may need water pistol or water bombs , to stop the pirates getting ashore. prepare to get wet .

It's a cafe in a boat house with, from memory, a giant yacht sail stuck to the ceiling. It has its own rustic charm and is ideal for cups of tea and snacks although it also has regulars who swear by its Sunday lunches. Nice and sheltered on cold winter days. In the summer grab your snack and settle on the decking outside or simply have a picnic on the grass overlooking a large boating lake.

Catching Crabs on their lines and putting them in their buckets until returning them to the water. Also have a ride on the Model Steam Railway for £1. You can,t go wrong !

Had my daughter's baby shower here yesterday. Gemma and the team went to such efforts to make our time here so special. The decorations looked great and the food was amazing! Everyone had a wonderful time. 100% recommend Rumour as a venue or just to pop in for tea and cake. Can't thank the team enough!
