Really rude woman working there, service appalling, food stale & greasy, coffee un-drinkable. Really sad as lovely location and new park in the process of being built

Went to order and the miserable looking woman who was meant to be serving people slid the window shut. Then hugged and opened it as we approached. We asked if it was OK to sit inside as the rain was coming. She raised her voice saying she already has people in there. We didn’t bother ordering anything after her customer service. Avoid.

Worse than appalling. The original cabin was bad and I had hoped that this would be an improvement. The stench of stale grease should have been warning enough but I foolishly ordered 2 hot drinks. Neither was fit for consumption. Observed appauling service to another customer Such a missed business opportunity. That place could be a little gold mine.

Absolutely appalling coffee, burn nasty flavour. Please invest in a proper machine I would rather pay a pound more and have a decent coffee that this rubbish. This place could be an amazing gold mine there are so many improvements that could be made.

Coffee made from beans is a necessity in a cafe of 2022. Nescafé went out with the 00’s in a self respecting cafe! Good for an ice cream. Extraordinary waiting times for anything else.

I visited the boathouse with my children so they could play nearby. The cafe was clean, the staff were very friendly and the food and drinks were fine. Will visit again

I purchased 2 lattes for myself and my partner, £2 per latte!! I can only describe this as the worst coffee I have ever had. Two mouthfuls and it was thrown away. It tasted like a 10 pence instant coffee, cheap and nasty. They need to overhaul what they are selling and have a choice of sweeteners not just white sugar. Asking for brown sugar should not be an issue. Invest in a good machine and good quality coffee beans please.

We have a chips, bacon burger and bacon and cheese burger. The chips were a very small kids size portion for £2.50 which seemed very pricey. The burgers were disgusting, the bread was stale, cold and dry, the meat was of a very low quality and was served on a paper plate. The food was overpriced but what made it even worse was the sign on the boathouse mentioning they don't serve fast food, they serve quality food. The food had no quality or care put into it. Worse food we've had in years! Avoid! They should embrassed serving food like that, at the prices they charge!

First time out to visit the new Boathouse cafe and although the renovations look great, i was utterly disappointed with the coffee and quality of food still being offered. No fresh pastries or cakes but biscuits being sold that you get for free in a hospital and mostly fried food on the menu. The coffee was watery, burnt and bitter and served in a polystyrene cup. With London and nearby villages filled with great cafes, serving fresh, locally sourced food and barista coffee, the Boathouse cafe is a let down. High Wycombe really needed a place to meet for good food and coffee with space for children to play. Such a shame.

As a boathouse it is OK. As a cafe or for food it is terrible. Coffee is Kenco in a polystyrene cup still even after the revamp! I have no idea how this guy got the keys to the boathouse again seeing as it doesn't improve the park's prospects and increases the environmental impact. Half arsed

I have fond memory's of coming down the rye with my dad when I was little, and we would go to the boat house and get a boat out..Now he is not so mobile. I love popping down on a nice day with a friend and having some chips and a coffee its cheap and cheerful and they do breakfast, chips, burgers and ice cream etc. Lovely for families. Its nice and casual set up.

The food is typical pub grub with burgers, pies and Mac and cheese. You order at the bar and the food is served to your table. Very good value for money.

Just stopped in for a drink after a good walk from the pub carpark. Was a poor pint of Guinness, a good couple of ales on tap.

Having been let down by an online hamper order as a Christmas gift for our lovely neighbours, we had no choice but to try to recreate the Italian delicacies hamper ourselves. We searched online and saw that Waitrose had exactly all the things we were looking for. We've never shopped at Waitrose before but now on Christmas Eve, we expected the place to be a zoo with people pushing and shoving and grabbing everything off the shelves in a last-minute panic before Christmas. This was not the case. Yes, the store was very busy but everyone was so helpful. All of the staff we approached were very kind and even smiled, despite the fact that they were very busy trying to keep shelves stocked. We even mistook a delivery driver for an actual store employee and even he tried to help us find what we were looking for. One woman even gave us a box and suggested how we might decorate and fill it as a gift hamper. All in all, this was a very pleasant experience for us, considering the panic we were in, trying to put together a food gift on Christmas Eve. We were very impressed by the quality of goods on offer at Waitrose and our neighbours were thrilled by the gift. We will defintely shop at this store again!
