One of the best costa frappes I’ve ever had! Wonderfully served by Robert and his friendly team. Not all Costa’s are the same, this one is one of the best!

Hadn't been to Costa in Marlow for quite some time. Thought we'd give it a try on a Sunday afternoon, 3pm. Sat on the new comfy sofa, near back of the place. Whilst there, the main guy working there decided to put a chain across this section and start cleaning tables, putting chairs on the tables, hoovering and bringing rubbish bags through. Made to feel very uncomfortable as a result. I asked if the store was closing soon, and was told no, it closes at 5pm. So why start closing off a section so early, esp when you have customers in there, wanting to relax and enjoy their drinks etc..? Won't be returning to this Costa in a hurry.

Went to costa yesterday was served by nice man and woman. Lovely bubbly staff, quick service, tasty coffee. I will be back! Shame I didn’t catch their names.

Wondered why the staff had masks on until I saw the price of the food🙄😉 ...won't get a bacon roll again ...nearly £10 quid for roll and ☕️...getting ridiculous prices now

The atmosphere of this place is so uneasy! The tall manager with the top knot really makes me feel uncomfortable. I sit and get watched by every move. I’ve paid for my goods before even receiving them and yet get made to feel rushed into finishing my drink. I also do not like the way he speaks to other staff members who are actively serving customers and running the business more efficiently than himself. Think this store needs a new manager and consideration towards employees other than the manager of the site. Put it this way I don’t even want to go here myself as a customer let alone as an employee!!!

We queued together with the rest of the customers but when came to our turn we were ignored and the guy behind counter served the ladies behind us. Without even checking we were served the ‘take-away’ cups. Felt mistreated as we are non-White?! This is the second experience in this village within a day. I hope I’m being sensitive.

I came in this morning expecting a nice cold iced coffee to cool me down on a very hot day. What I got was quite the opposite. The young lady that was making my coffee first of all didn’t even put a whole coffee shot into my drink as she missed half of it meaning I got a drink that tasted purely of milk. The service was okay.

It's ok, could be cleaner, at least the drinks were properly hot. Costa seem to have lost their edge.

This Costa is situated just off the main high street . If you are a regular customer of Costa you know what to expect.

I had my falt white and they give such beautiful one 😍 I love it .....staff was friendly and special Hich..such nice and polite guy....definitely recommend

Music too loud, toilets poor as when flushing it throws it all out back over you! Nice building though and coffee pleasant enough.

Was pretty good coffee and the food was ok. Was hard to work as the music is quite loud. Would be nice to have a quieter spot. Also the internet connection went down which meant I had to goto a different coffee shop.

The service and care from Zeke and Hicham makes me come back.. Thank you guys for making my coffee a happy one!!

I just had the frappe of all frappes from the Marlow branch. With the heat outside, i feel like im on holiday! With it being a free bean reward too, it tastes all the more sweet. I dont think I've ever had bad service from the Marlow Costa either ♡

Was very welcomed by the staff member Ben and made me and my mate an excellent drink and perfect toasty. Not sure on his wage but needs a raise

I booked this restaurant well in advance as there is a 6 month waiting list (for my wife’s 50th birthday) and it was not worth the wait. My wife went for the cheese and ham toastie and was bitterly disappointed. Staff are lovely and polite but that’s about the only food thing.

Worst customer service. The woman who made my coffee was so rude! She made the wrong coffee and when I said that isn’t what I ordered she gave me a dirty look, huffed and puffed and made me feel like it was my fault she made the coffee wrong. Plus the toast I ordered to takeaway with my coffee had no butter or anything with it. The boy serving at the checkout was nice just a shame about the the woman making the coffee. I stopped going to this Costa because of the poor service before, thought I’d give it another go. Wish I hadn’t!

Ummm what do I say? My family and I love to have a Costa so in we popped for a take out. Dum de dum much later we finally got our order. I am not kidding we ordered a latte and 3 salted caramel frostino. The latte was made in a reasonable time but the frostinos took a ridiculous amount of time and staff to prepare. Firstly the guy who took our order popped upstairs I presume to get some stock and chatted to his family, who were having a coffee, on the way back. There was a lot of messing around and different staff getting involved. Finally we were served up the frostinos, but I had to ask for the crunchy topping to be added 🙄. Oh and the guy who took the order and started making them had disappeared to sit and chat with his family again! Seems to be run by students with no supervision 😕 .

A blonde bloke called Ben served me and was unreal at his job! Served me so quickly and was willing to do extra sugar with my drink. He deserves a raise!

Slow and Grumpy Staff :( I work full time in Marlow and buy a hot chocolate most days, I prefer the taste of Costa's, but most days I walk further and pay more for a slightly less nice tasting hot chocolate from Starbucks. Why? because of a service. Over the 5 years that I've worked in Marlow Costa usually has the slowest service and the most miserable staff. All of the staffs faces seem to say "I'm fed up and I don't care anymore" . Today was no exception, there where two staff in there, struggling to deal with the growing queue, the young girl on the till looked like she was new and couldn't work out how to fix the receipts that had jammed. The other guy finished the coffee order he was doing before helping her, he then took a while to realize that it needed more receipt paper roll, he ran up the stairs and walked down the stairs, put the roll in, got a phew cakes from the counter and said "you don't need to tell me" to the queue of customers! In total I must have stood still for 10mins having been in the queue for 20mins and there where 3 people in front of me when I left. I walked out and went to Starbucks - their Cafe was full, almost no tables free, there was NO queue, I went straight to the front, 3 staff behind the counter, one of which was a new member, happily getting to grips with the till whilst I placed my order, she got stuck and the other staff where quick to help. I have always found Starbucks to be faster and happier, just wish they used Costa Hot Chocolates! I hope Costa read this and realize the business their missing out on in Marlow, make you staff quick & happy!

No proper coffee cups and saucers/mugs available , was given coffee in 2 takeaway card cups instead ( a small balanced in a large ) ...not a good look One member of staff was very pleasant , the rest acted if nobody was there apart from themselves Place was almost empty Coffee is perfectly drinkable but prefer Cafe Nero

Cheerful welcoming staff. Pleasant calm atmosphere. Very enjoyable.

Toilet out of order. No toastys no muffins.

Very slow service. No sense of urgency. Not typical professional barista behaviour. Too much chatting amongst themselves. A new barista I think who just seemed to act like it was working in an ordinary shop!!!

We came in to order, with no clear signs on queuing measures. Treated very rudely by a member of staff who spoke to us as if we were stupid and made no effort to explain the rules. I understand these are difficult times but no one should be spoken to like that when they're trying to support businesses.

Seriously ... please get some decent staff. Just the worst service for no reason. Totally understand the current measures but I do y think I’ve ever been in here and they’ve got my order right first time.

I have been visiting this branch of Costa since it first opened - the staff then and afterwards were excellent and friendly. Since the refurbishment 2-3 years ago and the subsequent closure of the first floor area it seems to have lost all it's atmosphere and has become, well, functional. Except, reading some reviews from earlier this year, dysfunctional is a more fitting word.Today (10/08/20) as I was passing I read a notice saying the branch is closed until further notice, and all the furniture has been removed. Perhaps the ongoing 'Health & Safety' issue re: the first floor and a lack of fire exit at the rear of the garden has finally caused Costa to give up on this property - and hence the poor morale/service earlier this year.There are too many coffee shops in Marlow, in fact too many duplicates of retail outlets altogether. Shops one visits at Christmas for free mince pies and bubbly and which are not visited until the next Christmas for the same freebies....but that is another review!

Came in for a tea whilst waiting for the shops To open. Had to visit the toilet and at 8.30am how disgusting was they. No hand soap and with the bin overflowing with dirty nappies really put me off my visit

Dirty Costa! Last visit and wasn’t busy. 3 staff behind counter. Every table had trays and empty cups. A trolly full of dirty cups was blocking the coffee collection area. What a mess!

WORST COSTA EVER! Dirty, can’t get your order right. Don’t clear the tables, dirty cups and plates always left on tables. AVOID!!!!

Great coffee. Never know if there going to be open though. Some mornings they are . But still shut at 7.30 Saturday morning . That's not unusual.

I have now been to Costa Marlow twice. Once with my boyfriend and the other with my father and on both occasions the service was an absolute shambles! Who knew it took 30 minutes to make two white hot chocolates! Service so slow, the team don’t seem to know what they’re doing, there is no structure, no apologies and the drinks were cold and tasteless!

We used to go to Cafe Copia in Marlow, and have been to this branch since this cafe closedThere is always good service, and they do ask if you want chocolate on cappucinno.The building at the front is genuinely old. It is a little cramped in the entrance serving area ,and possibly the staff and customers would find it easier if the counter and baristas be relocated at the back of the cafe which has a higher ceiling. Seating could then be located in the quaint genuine beamed part of the cafe at the front.Having said that the excellent Costa standard is upheld here, and the seating and tables are comfortable to sit at. Who I assumed to be the manager was very kind to young lady who ordered a lot of takeaway coffees today, she gave her a tray and held the door open for her. The staff are very friendly if you talk to them.Our new favourite cafe in Marlow.

I came in for an interview at 11am for the role of a Barista. I decided to arrive 15 minutes early as it creates a good impression for you towards the manager who’s interviewing you. I noticed it was very busy, so I decided to wait in the queue before noticing it wasn’t moving and was worried that I’d be late. I went up to the counter and said to the lady behind the till that I was here for an interview. She mentioned that the manager was already interviewing someone, but he’d be finished soon so I can wait around (this was at 10:50am). I thought I would wait for the most 10-15 minutes, but I waited an hour and 20 minutes. He clearly knew I was there as he kept looking over and didn’t think to come over and apologise for the wait, to say that he would be with me very soon. Instead at 12pm, he decided to take the person who he was interviewing for a tour around the cafe right in front of me, like he gave her the job immediately. I thought the manager was very rude and unprofessional, especially with the way he handled the interviews. He wasted my time.

Absolutely awful. Staff too young to care, clearly not trained properly. No queue when I walked in but it still took over 15mins to get my drink, they made it wrongly twice. Gentlemen next to me had a similar experience. I’m a regular because of its location but will can’t keep going back it’s always the same. Will be walking out of my way for coffee from now on.

Getting a reputation for bad hygiene as they don't clean their coffee machine. Most people don't know that there is a garden out the back and dogs are allowed in the garden. If you have a dog they are quite happy for you to have it on lead and stand in queue buy your coffee and then head on out to the garden. There are stools by the front window great for watching the world in the busiest corner but it is South facing so gets very warm quickly. Lots of seating down the back but the seating area upstairs which is much nicer can't be opened due some health and safety regulations. Please like my review if you found helpful. Thanks

Quite possibly the worst costa ive ever been to! New years day, 3 staff working (one lady bless her was trying so hard to keep up) the manager was shouting orders at both staff and customers. The other member of staff just kept herself on the till taking more and more orders that the others could not keep up with, rather than helpig out herself! New cups from the store room where thrown on the floor behind the counter, Tables everywhere were filthy, piled up plates, cups and trays everywhere. Water all over the floor as you came into the store. Wont be back

One staff member with long ponytail rudely insisting all customers take trays to their tables as if we are in primary school, even though me and another customers had laptops we also had to fit on the table. Very rude and patronising. Was served tea in a dirty latte glass. Disappointing.

The toilets both disabled & unisex have not been cleaned. The bins were overflowing with tampons & tissues everywhere. The disabled toilet floor was flooded & unusable & no toilet paper. The unisex flush did not flush. The staff were not interested in clearing the health risk problem.

Olde worlde shop with really low ceilings, slowest service ever young baristas i think were on the pista last night.

Your staff today were a discredit to your brand - swearing under their breath; arguing between themselves and a male member of staff with long pony tail hair who as good as barged through my son so that he could get to the counter to prepare his own food whilst customers waited- honesty shocking

Table was dirty, toilet was unclean and no soap to wash hands. There were flies all over the cakes and a puddle of water on the floor. Complained to staff but they said nothing, worst Costa l’ve visited. Will never return.

Excellent coffees. However the tables at the back of the cafe are consistently dirty. Some may like the character of the old building but hard to keep all the nooks and crannies clean. I like clean so 1 star off.

In my opinion Costa makes the best coffee, it has a good selection of food and I always get great service in whichever Costa shop I go into

We called in for breakfast, 9.00am, as we do most weekends in the northeast, we asked for two teacakes and our chosen drinks but were told we only have one teacake, which i said we will have this to share but then they saind appoligies we donlt have any butter only margerine, what no butter so this cancelled the one and only teacake and we ended up have a raspberry slice so dissapointed COSTA, never the less we managed to get some seats in the window to watch the busy town of MARLOW wake up and look onto The Coach where people were having amazing breakfasts, it will be on our list the next time we visit our son.

Possibly the only Costa sited within a wealth of natural character in the form of beamed ceilings and other listed features. Typical Costa fare on sale.

I have just been to Costa in Marlow and have been served the Best Salted Caramel Crunch ever, made by Jack. Well done Jack, I have one of these every week, but yours is definitely the best.

We stopped for a late breakfast (rather than pay hotel prices for our breakfast). Opted for 2 breakfast rolls - one with mushrooms and egg and the other with bacon. 2 coffees, job done. Nice place and good location.

This Costa is in an old timber-framed building (this will be seen most on the first floor, with all the old structure visible). Although I don't like the new refurbishment (as it is somewhat naff and because it has heralded a new wave of yoga mothers looking for a gossip), it is always a nice play to meet and have a good coffee - MUCH more preferable to Starbucks. Good location and friendly staff - not much more you could ask for.

The seated area is a bit gloomy if you aren't at the front but I guess this can't be helped in such an old property. The flat white I was served was surprisingly good (for a Costa).

Marlow is a very dog friendly town, all coffee shops accept dogs. Visited costa and got thrown out due to very small puppy who was sitting inside my coat, not even on the floor as too small. Have visited prior and been no problem. A particularly rude young member of staff decided he did not want me in there and was extremely rude and made me feel very uncomfortable when he ordered me to leave. Very disappointed as use costas most day, will now be taking my business too a more dog friendly place.

A welcome visit for morning coffee if !!!! your prepared to clear a table wipe it down before you can be seated and would you believe your coffee is even served ( when you get it) on a dirty tray..?? this place lacks basic hygiene

It's the slowest Costa in the UK. Lots of staff but only one ever making drinks and generally get it wrong.

The taste of the coffee it wasn't what you want to taste when you drink coffee. I mean they don't want to make the proper coffee just want to take the money from the customer's And this is very bad

I had spent £20 on food drinks . Didn't enjoy it because there was no place to sit and enjoy.

Place was not to usual standard. The toilet was leaking over the floor and no toilet paper got staff to replace it. Could have put a customer in an embarrassing state. Need to deal more in customer service

Was served by one gentleman and then drinks made by Bella. Bella decided to skip out on the topping for the Bonfire Latte... no cinnamon or caramel sprinkles. When I went back to question this, the young lad that had taken my money told me they don’t come with a Bonfire Latte. Obviously either lying or clueless. Bella proceeds to make a face at me say “fine i’ll get them” and slowly get the toppings. Guess she was just lazy in the first place.

Took my usual latte here today. Not much different to report based on usual Costa selection and service, but this branch is set in an old building so the coffee shop is quite cosy. No outside seating that I could see, so if you want to sit and watch street life (as you can at Marlow Starbucks), then this is not the place.

Needed a drink after a good lunch followed by a walk around town we popped into Costa, the service is painfully slow, but the product a couple of Frostions were well made and hit the spot.
