We had booked the inflatable aqua park for a football team's end of season celebration. Decided to book the Boat Shack for food afterwards. Communication with Nick via email was excellent. They reserved us a covered seating area by the water park and allowed us to change our order multiple times on the day without feeling like we were being a pain for doing so. Ordered sausages/burgers, chips and drink meals. Ali produced adequate amount of food for all the growing 11 year olds. Great value for money. The parties run like a well-oiled machine and the way they work with Aztec Adventure is great. We will certainly be back, maybe a repeat performance next year!

Been here a few times now because it’s in such a nice spot. Unfortunately each time we’ve been we’ve found the staff extremely unfriendly, rude and miserable. The coffee isn’t very nice but that could be down to taste, served in paper cups, it’s scruffy, dirty and untidy, the tables are never cleared. It’s such a shame as it could be really nice if they upped their game, a little gold mine in fact, really badly managed, would love to see it revamped with nice staff

We were there for an evening gig but popped done during the day just to see where it was. It is located on a lovely lake so great venue for lunch. The drinks served during the evening were very reasonably priced and was a great venue to see one of our favourite singer/songwriters. There is ample parking and the venue is dead opposite Webb Garden Centre. Hopefully we will get to visit again. Note for the locals - this is a greatittle music venue. Plenty of acts lined up so use it or loose it is my advise.

I don’t get the few negative reviews ! What more do people want ? A stunning location with views of the lake, countryside & all the activities. Surrounded by happy people having fun in the views. Great seating outside on nice days to soak in the great atmosphere of the lake & activities. Then inside the Boat Shake is a treat, tasteful decor with something to catch the eye everywhere you look. Nick the owner is a perfect host always giving a warm welcome & I for one find his staff just the same. Great service & high quality food & drinks with great choices. Also his live music Rock n Roll events are a treat for those into great music & locals alike. On the cafe, I’ve never seen anyone unhappy in fact quite the opposite. I can not recommend the Boat Shack highly enough. Give it a go you’ll see what I mean.

I had a burger (approx £9) poor value. Crisps instead of chips but still restaurant price. My daughter assured the milk shakes were dear (£4.50ish) but really good. Yes she was correct they were dear but instead of a lovely chocolate milkshake it tasted like someone had dumped chocolate sauce, covered it with milk then squirted on cream and covered it with hundreds and thousands and m & m look alikes. To call it a chocolate milkshake was fantasy. More like a sugar rush.

3 young staff and not one with an ounce of customer skills. Caught the female staff rolling their eyes at me as l dared to ask for something that they apparently didn’t have on their menu. It was only a slice of onion! Staff need to be trained on better ways of explaining the kitchen doesn’t stock onions. Not a big ask when you order a burger. Outrageous in modern society to have paper plates and single use plastic knives and forks. Even the coffee cups were single use. My partner had a baked potato with beans and cheese. It came with 3 separate disposable cups, one for Cheese, one for beans and one for coleslaw. Totally unnecessary. Just pop the ingredients on the potato and stop being so wasteful.

I used to really enjoy going to The Boat Shack, preferring the quirky ambience and small business nature of it than the obvious alternative in the near vicinity. However, on a recent visit I was disappointed by what seemed to be a hike in prices and reduction in quality. I ordered a savoury scone, which cost not far off a fiver, and expected it to at least come with salad. I got a microwave-warmed (so I assume it had been frozen and not fresh), squishy scone with chutney served by staff who weren't interested in the customers. Not impressed, sorry.

People had been telling me how good this place was, so when some friends came to stay I decided we'd go there for Sunday brunch. I had thought it might be busy, but hadn't expected the car park to be crammed full with more people trying to get in! It's a very tight car park where it's extremely difficult to manoeuvre out once you've gone in, so it took some time to extricate the car and take it across the road to park at Webbs, while, two of us headed into the cafe to see if there was any point trying to find a table. To our great surprise, it was empty apart from one couple. It appeared that all those cars outside actually belonged to people involved in sailing on the lake, so we easily found somewhere for the five of us to sit (there are tables outdoors but it was a bit chilly for that!). The cafe is so quirky and cute, decorated in a vintage style with loads to look at while you're waiting. The menu wasn't massive, but had enough choice for what we wanted - and there were also pastries etc at the counter. You have to order at the counter, and there's a small charge for paying by card if it's under £10, so best to bring cash if you're only having a snack. I went for a bacon sandwich and a pot of rooibos tea, which was loose-leaf (I think all the teas are) and came in a cute little pot on a tray – all very nice. The others enjoyed their food too, and the place had a friendly atmosphere as well as the interest of being able to view the lake and the activities going on. We would definitely come again.

Good selection of hot drinks, 'proper coffee' , tea in pots, small selection of cakes etc. The sandwiches that were being bought out looked amazing, we opted for cake! Nice relaxed atmosphere, reasonably priced for what you get,We will definitely be back

Lovely cafe. Very nice coffee and the views are wonderful. Great on a sunny day to sit on the deck outside and warm and cosy looking over the water on a cold day. A must to visit - lovely to meet a friend at.

A lovely spot for lunch , watching the water sports on the lake , the food was beautifully fresh and well presented with that truly home made taste . I can really recommend the pate and the cheese scones !

This is practically on our doorstep and we haven't visited until now. On a nice day it's great to get a seat outside overlooking the lake.Food was fabulous and very reasonably priced. Much less busy than webbs over the road!

I love this place but I don't feel the pricing is consistent. My OH had a sandwich, excellent value. Filled full with ham and loads of salad and crisps for a fiver but I had a cheese scone with some chutney and that was £4 but you only got 1 scone, I didn't feel this was good value. Drinks lovely as always. I asked the staff for some info about the bus as I can't find anything on line or at the cafe. She didn't know what food was served and what it was about, I asked if it was a different company to the cafe and she said it was the same, so how can she have no information. So didn't go over as didn't want to lose our table just in case there was no food.

Lovely place but be aware website said it was open until 5pm but when we got there at 4.20 we were abruptly told we could only have a "take out".

We made a special trip to this amazing place. Just off the M5 and M42 it was lovely to get off the motorway, enjoy the view and sample the amazing food. The pot of tea seemed to last for at least half an hour, it was huge.

Popped in for a pot of tea and a bacon sandwich both of which were perfect. Ended up joining the Worcester Wild Life Association so we can enjoy free parking and access to walk around the nature reserve. This will definitely become a frequent haunt for us. The savoury scones looked particularly tempting and the view across the lake is really lovely

There was an Open Day at the lake today. And the Beach Bus was open. We had pizza on the top deck, which was great fun. And the pizza was good too. Other families were having burgers and cakes. There is a Rum Shack too. We didnt get to try that.

My favourite café in Bromsgrove, a gem of a place. Food, service, surroundings all wonderful especially when the sun is shining (take your sunscreen if sat outside). Can't wait for the double decker bus to be fully operational!!Keep up the great work guys.

Service-fine Plenty of choice including game. Food-good but why be mean with vegetables? Vegetables are not costly so more than potato plus one green would be better

Awful! The worst fish and chip shop I have been to in a long while. Bought fish chips and curry. The fish was burnt on the outside and undercooked on the inside the chips were hard, bitty and few in number and the savoury curry was not nice and repeated on me for hours later, all in all an £11.70 expensive waste of money! Wish I had driven to Seavers.

The cafe is closed, this is now just a petrol station with a garage forecourt. Lorry park still open, charges £20 to park on a litter strewn yard, no showers and only one toilet in the garage which was dirty and had no paper when I called there. Owner rude and arrogant. Avoid unless you're absolutely desperate. There is space for a good thirty trucks there , there were about six when I visited which tells you everything you need to know.
