Two couples arrived last minute. Two chose the Fish & Chips…….very nice indeed Two chose the Pies, & again very good. Ice cream for two & two Jam Roly-Poly. All told not bad at all. Service quick, friendly & efficient. Happily go back.

Lovely evening, scrummy meal, we had mains & pudding, for four of us, little issue with our order,but was sorted very quickly by our amazing waiter Jasper who was superb. We shall return.

What a shame, beautiful location but service was very slow. No turkey and after waiting an hour told they had run out of roast potatoes! Did get some free puds as compensation though after some wrangling.

This pub is in a brilliant location, looks great and the interior is smart. However, my family of 5 booked a table for 1.30pm for lunch. It was my daughters birthday. As we went in the customers wanting drinks were 6 deep queuing in 3 queues. There were 2/3 people behind the bar. Everything was done electronically which took time and we were told to order our food via the app. We eventually ordered our food (after trying to download the app) and the waiting period was (at that time) 90 minutes. It went down to 60 minutes soon after but we still didn't get our food until mid afternoon. The food was poor. All that you put down to experience - but my daughter clearly asked for a 0% gin and tonic and she got served a normal one. In her case she cannot have alcohol for medical reasons and this could have caused a serious issue. We returned it and it was exchanged, but it should not have happened. My advice to Greene King is focus on the customer experience and not rely on technology.

Had a lovely drink on the terrace over looking the river this afternoon. Service was great and staff lovely. There’s no better location either!

Fantastic pub in a wonderful location next to the river. Staff were super helpful and accommodating, booking us in as a large group at the last minute due to "rain stopping play" for a planned family picnic. Great range of tasty food, easy for kids and even coped with the cockerpoo! Would definitely recommend!

Came here for a sunday afternoon around 4 :30 for a roast. Staff were friendly, pub is full of TV's showing footbal ( so if thats not your thing don't bother). We ordered 2 sunday beef roasts. The meat was tough, well done and not pink as advertised, gravy was very thick and tepid, roast potatoes were dry, yorkshire was cold, veg was not fresh but frozen, I didn't bother with the caulifower. Mens toilets were awful. 2 drinks each plus two roasts £58

A warm welcome from the pub manager set the scene for a very pleasant hour spent beside the Thames. Good traditional food and nice friendly staff completed the experience.

I’m very dissatisfied with the experience I encountered with the employees on the bar today. I ordered a drink and got turned down, once I had walked away the employees started talking about me which is very unprofessional and rude. Would not recommend.

We had booked a table for 6 for Sunday lunch at 1pm. We used the app to order drinks and food - 2 cokes took 30mins to be delivered. 30 mins after placing our lunch order from the Sunday lunch menu we were advised the one vegetarian option wasn’t available and to chose from the main menu which we did. There were also no pigs in blankets available which I thought was poor on a Sunday menu. The food was very average, not very hot and the broccoli was mostly stalk. Our changed order was £5.10 less than paid and no one offered a refund - I had to explain twice and go to the bar to sort out the refund for unavailable food. The service was awful and we skipped dessert and coffees as we didn’t think we’d get served in time as we had a boat ride booked. Great location but they could learn a lot about service and a quality roast dinner from Wetherspoons and Toby.

Came here last year on holiday and remembered that it was good. Went Wednesday 22nd and it was better than I remembered. Has the pie. It was very tasty and very large. Was so full couldn’t have dessert. If we’re in the area again we will definitely be back.

Got no issues with the place. Staff seem to be a lot more on the ball lately and we were here when extremely busy. Seems like there’s a lot of snobby people on here that expect everything for nothing

Lovely food and service. We were staying up the road for four days with friends and went here for food and drinks twice. Good selection of ales on tap plus lots of other drinks, good selection of food on offer, even had a dog menu which was great for our dogs. Nothing not to like good food and drinks in a lovely location by the river at a fair price.

Gents toilets smelled disgusting, tiled floor was cracked and wet - looked like a radiator had been removed as there was a hole in the floor. Slow food prep, took 40 minutes to arrive, I ordered a Senior meal of fish and chips …. And there a lump of greasy batter and hardly any fish … certainly will not be eating that meal in this pub again. Very disappointed.

'Customer service? Huh? You've lost us!' Bad start, terrible finish on a quiet Friday evening! I'd driven so ordered an alcohol-free Guinness: glass, can, unceremoniously dumped, pour it yourself as we can't be bothered, £5. Round two: I'll try some food. And yet, they could not deliver the advertised vegan burger because they lacked suitable bread. I went bunless. Having failed to deliver a burger basic, you'd expect them to perhaps make an effort to compensate. Wrong: tiny burger, a sprinkle of salad and a few chips, without the advertised onion rings, that left everyone I was with asking what of Earth I'd ordered. Highlighting the disappointing rip-off that had arrived to the staff, I requested a partial refund, only to be informed they'd just take the whole disappointing mess back and give me a full refund! Wow, it's rare to encounter such a bullish, disastrous failure to overcome what was clearly shocking service and abysmal value for money. Standard Greene King, I guess: not for royalty, more for peasants with more money than sense.

Came across this place on our walk. Food was delicious, the place is lovely and clean. Staff were very lovely and helpful. Absolutely lovely pub. Definitely will visit again!

Don’t often leave reviews, but found this place to offer exceptional service and attention to detail, so I am making an exception. All of staff were very attentive and I’m looking forward to coming back.

We have had lunch on several occasions in the past which have been most enjoyable and decided to return.. We saw a notice board stating there was a delay of possibly 20 minutes as there was only one chef in the kitchen. We ordered our meal and actually waited 50 minutes and noticed another couple who had arrived at the same time had actually eaten their meal and left before we had been served. Eventually our fish and chips arrived I had ordered a small plate from the senior menu the fish consisted of mostly a very crunchy batter with very little actual fish. We were extremely disappointed with the meal which was not up to the usual standard.

After frequenting this establishment over the last couple of days, we returned for a final evening drink at 22.50 only to be told the bar was shut - despite several patrons sitting with full drinks and advertising saying they close at 23.00. A very disappointing...

Went for quick birthday diner with the wife and two kids. Food was incorrectly delivered, steak was terrible and pepper sauce lumpy. I asked for a takeaway box for my wife's burger, and the very rude staff told me they don't have. Circa 85 pounds...

It is a great location by the river and the staff were helpful and reasonably quick. However, the food could be better.

Nice location and friendly staff but I'd strongly advise avoiding the food. Vegetarian Katsu curry was overcooked and burned (hidden by sauce), Bacon and cheese burger was also very overcooked and the bacon was almost pure fat, macaroni and cheese was dried out and nasty....

The Boat House was a fantastic venue for our meet and greet prior to our Reunion, Staff we’re brilliant hosts and dealt with our rowdy bunch with humour and respect. The setting was also outstanding and well worth a visit, Thankyou very much.
