Birthday lunch for my son and his girlfriend. Beautiful views over the Dee. Our waitress was lovely ( veterinary student) didn't catch her name but she was attentive and professional. Thank you

This pub is in a very good location, overlooking the coastal marshes. The menu is decent but most items are very expensive (even by current standards). Dishes vary somewhat in size, unpredictably. Pies dont all have a pastry base and some have soggy bases, which was rather unfortunate. Good choice of desserts, which were quite substantial. Decent strong coffee. We had the sharing Sunday roast platter which was delicious and great value! The portion size was very generous for 2 people and the service was excellent!

The setting is delightful, overlooking the estuary Staff are professional, friendly and polite The food was excellent The chilli scallops were perfectly cooked and tender and the sauce accompaniment was ideal. Came in after a walk only for a couple of drinks no food which did smell lovely. Amazing setting, decor and view. The gentleman on shift was lovely and informative bar service was quick and efficient. Will definitely pop back in again when you that way

Decided to eat out last minute and as the weather was glorious we wanted to eat out at a great location with a great view. We usually do the Sunday platter for two which is amazing, you definitely need to give it a go it’s huge. Anyway the service today was quick and efficient as usual. The venue is looking a little worn in places especially the ladies toilets but overall it’s a smart restaurant with a great atmosphere. Our order was delivered quickly and looked great. My pie wasn’t typical as it came in a large bowl with a thin pastry sealing the top. The filling was very tasty and the meat tender. The mash was fluffy and accompanied by lots of gravy in a little jug though this wasn’t needed as the pie filling had plenty of gravy. The broccoli was perfectly cooked. Reasonably priced too. We had a great meal and although our servers were efficient the personal interaction was minimal. Great early evening meal. Looking forward to going back soon.

I've been coming to the boathouse for about 20 years on and off. It was a convenient halfway point for some friends who live in North Wales and another who lives on the Wirral for a Sunday lunch together. Food have a really bad spell a few years ago and we stop going to be honest, and then there was lockdown. I heard about a year ago that there was new management team and this things were back up to scratch. Yesterday was the third time I've been since then - try for Sunday roast and last week for a Saturday evening meal and it's back to its best! It's a lovely place (I think it was substantially refurbished over Covid) and the food was lovely. I had the home-made fish pie and it was one of the best I've had. Oh.... And they've got Moretti on draft - that's all you need to know really!

The Boathouse staff take pride in creating a very welcoming experience. The staff are clearly motivated and the food is great. I would highly recommend.

Situated with wonderful views of the Dee estuary. Watching wildlife as you eat. The menu catered for all tastes and was tasty and plentiful. Staff were welcoming and attentive. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant. Parking on site is free and easy.

Went to Boathouse with my partner for my birthday. I had lambshank which was delicious and fell off the bone, carrots were really lovely. Broccoli a bit on the firm side for me as it tends to be in most restaurants these days. Desert I had was cheesecake which again was lovely not much cream with it but nice all the same.
