this place is great for a late drink or a nice dinner regardless of what you come for you will 100% have a fantastic time at blues kitchen and if you’re lucky enough to have the wonderful steve as a server your time here will be even more fantastic 10/10

Absolutely loved going here on Saturday the vibes were amazing and the staff were really helpful. However we had a booth booked for 11pm and didn’t actually get seated until around 11:30 which wasn’t the end of the world but was a little frustrating considering we paid a deposit for it. However after that we loved it and had a great night!

Live band hip hop brunch event. What can I say?! What an experience!! The band and singers were class with the DJ in between brought mad vibes!!! The staff were excellent and ensures food and drinks were out rapidly. Each and every servers was amazing and special shout out to Nathan who I spoke with and was on point considering they were short staffed. Will definitely be back💯

What a massive shame that a night we were so excited for turned into the vocalist disappearing for 3 hours. Get real, people turned up to see you. Would rather shit in my hands and clap. Planet hollywood instead bye. 🫡

Atmosphere, great food, jolly staff. A winner

We just been for a quick lunch as my friends go there every week for their lunch break. The greeting was very friendly and then our waitress who is not keen on eye contact or smiles took our orders. We had a sharing dip spinach & cheese then received our mains 2 burgers 1 chicken and mac&cheese all delicious. Even we reminded 3 different people our drinks still has not arrived. Then they said they can not find the check so we told them what was it( coke-lemonade-oj) they all came same size even we order pints for coke and lemonade. As we were half way the main course we just ignored this and finished our meals. As my friends were regulars they said lunch comes with a free soft drink. In the end the drinks were charged as well £3.50 each, we asked if it was not included but the different waiter who cleared our plates acted like he has no idea what we are talking about. He said he works there for 5 months he never seen free soft drinks. We said ok then ready to pay but he got upset and cancelled something on the check and charged us £3 less. This was a bad customer service. You should never make the guest feel like they are lying and left the place upset. On the positive side food was delicious.

Friday - band starts 10.45pm then again 12.30am and apparently a third time too. Medium queue at 11pm. No queue at 9-10am. Busy at 9pm but starts getting very busy from 10.30pm onwards.

Came here for my partner's birthday and we were served by Kobi, he was an excellent server, he made sure we were looked after throughout the meal, he was very personable and overall made our meal a really enjoyable experience, we will definitely be back.

What an amazing experience we had here on Saturday! The drinks and food were so good and we loved the bottomless brunch option, but the best part of the meal was by far the staff. From start to finish, they were attentive, kind and so lovely to speak with and they really made my friend feel special on her birthday. Add that to the incredible atmosphere and vibe around the restaurant, and it really was a wonderful day. Thank you again so much to Natalie and Ruth, who really went above and beyond throughout our entire visit! :)

In for a quick pint on 31st afternoon before NYE. Bar staff was very lazy, no eye contact, no motivaton, no words. Sometimes I wonder why people work in the service industry when they don‘t like to serve their customers. However I assume this is a fantastic blues venues in the evenings.

We had the play room and it was brilliant! The room is so fun,karaoke,fussball table and so much space to enjoy ourselves. The service was and attention was on point,someone was always on hand to take our order and attend to our needs. The food was delicious as always and the cocktails are the best,fully recommend the zombie!!

I loved the place but it's cutting corners, which is very sad. The band started playing at 22:45 and stopped at 23:30. I waited an hour, hoping it would return, but it did not so I left. It's very disappointing and disrespectful towards all those people paying on average £10 for a simple drink and hoping to experience live music for most of the night.

Amazing service! Amazing team! Vibe is top notch! Food and drinks were phenomenal! I will be returning next week to celebrate my birthday :)

I hired out the playroom for a birthday celebration and from the start the service was great. Chris helped with the booking and preordering of the food. The staff were welcoming from the beginning and our host, Natalie was attentive. Everything was smooth! It was a great night and it’s a venue I will recommend to others to use as a private space. Thank you!

Went there one Saturday for unlimited wings and I have to say the wings were great as well as the friendly staff and the amazing service.

To start the environment is very nice. A mix of bar and dance floor with live music. There aren't many food options, but food is good in general. Cocktails around £13. Service was a bit disappointing. The dish came with two sides missing, and we had to complain twice and didn't get it right. The beer we ordered was missing, but when I ordered at the bar, it was available, making me think the waiter didn't know what he was doing. And the last and very frustrating, if you wanna leave things in the cloakroom, it costs £2.5 per item. We spent £150 in the place and an extra £10 just to leave our jackets to dance. It really does not make sense, especially if you pay £9 to get into the place. I felt abused and gave me a very upsetting and unfair feeling. I wish customer experience was better considered in the service overall.

We visited for a birthday celebration and were really impressed. The cocktails were really tasty and good measures. The bar is definitely the best visual aspect of this venue. The food we ordered had run out so we reordered and were given a glass of Prosecco each to apologise. The food was really good and big portions. We receive a free birthday dessert with a candle - but no singing (thankfully). The live music was a nice touch.

I paid £50 for anytime entry for New Year’s Eve and it was horrific. They completely oversold tickets to make money and overlooked the safety of all of us in there. Huge risk of crowd crushing, completely unable to move in the venue, we left quickly after midnight, what an utter waste of time and money. Do better next time.

Three stars go nowhere, but this bar deserves them. Great live music, amazing, at least the night I was there. Unfortunately the service in not that great. They seems to be understaffed, orders run late, and come with missing items. Summarising, great place to have some drinks enjoying music, not so much to eat.

Christmas menu. Plastic glasses [yuk]. The chicken burger and the buffalo wings were lovely. Sadly, the beef burger was atrocious. 2nd class beef.

Went here for dinner and ended up stumbling out at 2am after dancing to an all female brass band. Staff were lovely, food was delicious and mac and cheese was to die for

Every time I visit Shoreditch I find myself at Blues Kitchen at least a few times a week. The variety of talent is unmatched, the drinks are wonderful and I definitely have my favorite bartenders. (Looking at you Rummy!) Always a great time! Mondays are $6 margs too... Just sayin.

Nice environment but service 0 We were a big table, no one told us that we had to pay immediately after the order. after the second round of drinks a guy ran to take the payments in the meantime they had ordered other things. after 45 minutes the drinks arrived. the guy who served us was super rude to us. we asked other waiters for the manager but no one answered us. only the guy at the door sent the manager. when we were leaving we stopped for a shot also the bartender super rude.

The vibe is great: good music and the decor is perfect. It’s a lot bigger than expected so expect a sea of people on busy nights. Removed a star as I reserved a table for 11pm but it wasn’t ready until around 11.30. It was supposed to come with a pre-ordered bottle as well but that took 2 rounds of chasing to actually get delivered.

Very trendy place, where there is live music; the environment is that of a blues bar with soft lights, sofas and tables. The bar is super stocked and the food is unexpectedly good. The staff is young and very friendly. For an evening with friends in central London it is an excellent choice. It is essential to book. High prices, in line with the area.

Absolutely love coming here. It’s mine and my husband’s favourite. Unfortunately no jazz band today but the food was amazing as usual. Being seated was slow but the food made up for that.

I frequent blues kitchen a lot and I love the place but the service I received on the 27th Wednesday November was abysmal!!! I never write a bad review but this experience was OUT OF ORDER! The lady that brought us to our table was fabulous, the drinks we had were super tasty and made the bad situation better but I cannot forget the negativity this waitress brought to my night. T he waitress forced us to buy food when we came for drinks and threatened that she would give our table away if we did not do so. So we bought fries, unwillingly, we continued our lovely date and then she comes to the table a while after we received our unwanted fries and asked us why we did not eat it. she continues to FORCE us to eat the fries, we did not want them and told her that already. She went ahead and ATE the fries infront of us and seductively, if I may add, AT OUR TABLE. I was gobsmacked. Never have I experienced such service, it made us feel uncomfortable and uneasy. We did not get her name, as she did not introduce herself to us, just wanted to put this out there. She was a young girl with curly hair and sassy attitude. Not sure I’m sure I’ve come back after this experience.

Cool, laid back bar with live music. Great 2 for 1 cocktail offer until 8pm. The bar offers pizza options for a snack, these also come in well priced combo packages.

I visited this establishment in November 2024 as part of a medium sized group for a birthday party on a weekday evening. Live Music While this is a restaurant with a bar, the key attraction is the live blues music. It is worth going just for that even if you do not sit down and eat. My suggestion is that if you do want to enjoy the music, rather than sitting at the diner style restaurant area (situated to the left as you enter), you instead go and sit at the tables view a view to the music stage (situated on the right as you enter). For those of you who have been in New Orleans and the State of Louisiana you will get those southern vibes. Food The food is adequate and competitively priced for what you get. That said, the key attraction is the music. Vegan and vegetarian options are available and the chef is happy to accommodate removing ingredients from dishes to make them vegan. Also there is a vegan burger option. Service The service is quite good and above average for post pandemic customer service standards. The waiters are very helpful and get your order and food out quickly. One thing to bear in mind and adjust your expectations is that this is a very popular place with an almost unique music offering in London and as such when you book a table for 2 hours they mean it. If you want a place where you will occupy a seat for hours, you are better off sitting for a drink near the stage. Worth noting is that the stuff are happy to split the bill for you without you having to do the calculations for them which makes thing easy and straightforward. For birthday occasions bear in mind that the chef does not keep cakes overnight at the kitchen, so any birthday cakes have to be brought when you arrive. Value The prices are competitive and are reasonable enough if you like the music to be good value for money to visit once a month. Atmosphere As mentioned above if you like blues music this is the place for you. While the restaurant occupies most of the premises, the real value is by the bar and the music stage.

Been going here since it was bar music hall back in 2011. Food and atmosphere is great but service lets it down. In the last 3 times I have been service has continued to rush me and my peers which always takes from the experience of dining. Think I will now consider hoxton square from now thanks.

Nice atmosphere but very rude staff, not worth going if you want to be respected and treated like a customer. The girl with dark hair at the bar wanted to kick us out and was interrupting every 10 minutes asking if we want more drinks. This is unacceptable. I hope this feedback finds the right people and you are going to fix the situation.

Coming here I had another expectations, everything wad good until the waiters started removing tables to create a dance floor, and “The blues kitchen” tells me something different than playing Taylor Swift music by some band. I would’t recommend coming here on weekends. Also we bought the tickets that said “live music will start at 8PM. We waited two hours and it was for nothing. Not a big pop fan.

One of my best places to visit in London with good vibes, music and food (I recommend the pork ribs and the buffalo chicken wings ) absolutely bang!

Really had a bad experience last Sunday around 6 pm because of the staff. The hostess, (short haired girl in baggy clothes) made us feel very uncomfortable. We kindly asked for a table to have a quick bite and a few drinks. The place wasn’t busy. She directed us to the area with those small rounded tables and they were all wobbling. Food and drinks arrives and couldn’t fit on the table, so I had to ask if we could possibly sit somewhere still and a little larger, she apologised but said no, we had to ask again because that was just not possible to eat that way, and she said we could take another rounded table and put it next to it to make space. The tables were wobbling so much that my partner drink spilled while even the waitress was struggling to put places and asked us if we wanted to move table, she literally saw the drink accidentally spilled and as the glass is so small once (Lyche Martini) if it spills even the upper part, is like missing out a lot for the drink. So she made us finally sit on a stable table. She promised to bring another of that cocktail spilled from the house but she never did. We did not ask for that, so I don’t understand why she said it. The first 20 minutes in that place were an absolute nightmare because the hostess just didn’t want to give us a table, (I repeat the place was full of stable tables available). Funny thing, my partner I was there with works for the company and this is how we have been welcomed, we also had a guest with us and this is the experience we all lived for no reason. A little bit disappointed I can’t lie because the food is actually great and the place also it is.

Food was terrible, tasted as if it was bought in from Iceland. Basic seasoning, arrived luke warm and menu is very limited which is annoying. Nothing soulful about the place apart from the live band who are good. Wetherspoon has better food Drinks were also average at best Staff were attentive Very noisy to difficult to have conversations Staff have no uniform or identifier so you have to guess and call over who you think can help Wasn’t offered any dessert, unsure if they exist

The queues on a Saturday for the cloakroom are simply ridiculous. Getting in and out of the basement to leave our coats took at least 20-30 minutes, and again when we went to fetch them. Very confusing as one staircase leads to the toilets and cloakrooms, leading to three different queues on one staircase, potentially unsafe as well. Live music band was alright, but mostly jazz so a mellow atmosphere. Entrance £10 pp, ex. cloakroom £2 per coat. Pints were around £7 and single GTs for ~£7.5, all-in-all a fairly expensive evening. Wouldn’t necessarily go again.

Always great place for a proper cocktail. Fun bartenders and great entertainment. Thanks to Isaac for whipping up those amazing drinks for us with style. Haven’t eaten here so can’t comment on that.

Not equipped for big groups (12). They were unable to seat all of us together despite booking well in advance. We were split between two booths. Food was OK, Rum punch was the best, live music was great.

As a 50-yr old American it was maybe a bit on the loud side for a Saturday night, but it was packed, drinks came quick and staff were super col. The karaoke room was tiny but a baller!

Amazing place, great food and great atmosphere. Shout out to Dani at the entrance who handles reservations, he sorted us right out, he is a true gem and any place would be lucky to have him ! A million thank yous to him!!
