Very nice atmosphere. Great live music, many people dancing and having fun. We had an awesome night. Also, there is a second bar in the basement which was very nice.

The staff at the club were incredibly helpful. We lost our friend and the security guards were very kind and responsive in looking for her. The staff offered to check CCTV for us and were very helpful in helping us find her. Got the sense that they genuinely care for the welfare of people out (rare and appreciated! :)). Thank you staff

One of my favourite stops when I’m in London. Excellent venue, delicious food, exemplary service and great live music. St Louis Ribs (slow cooked for 12 hours) are a must

At The Blues Kitchen, the Southern cuisine hits the spot, and the live music adds to the ambiance. Sitting near the stage with a Paloma in hand was a nice touch, and our waiter Mihai made sure we were well taken care of. If you're into good food and live music, this place is worth checking out.

Four of us for a family birthday supper. Not our first visit to The Blues Kitchen but our first to Shoreditch. The food was amazing, great ambience and the staff were fantastic. Five stars, but…..confusion over the BK’s fantastic 50% off promotion. Some staff allowed us the Monday/Tuesday discount on pre-dinner drinks, some staff insisted the discount only applied when we were at the meal table. If one has a supper booking, surely the discount applies to everything? Needs to be sorted out. Great food.

Great food and service is 10/10, Steve is a diamond!

The venue is cool, lots of vibes and cool styling. The music is anything but bluesy. The food was ok, which in itself was a disappointment, smaller portions and you didn't feel like you were in a bbq pit type place. The cocktails were modern and good. Service was slow and inattentive, likely due to how busy it was.

The venue looks amazing the drinks was a 10\10 and don't get me started on the hospitality everyone treated me like a king and my table was spick and spam thank you to the team 10/10

I would like to thank the amazing security guy (Mikolay i think) who shielded my wife with his body in the fire exit when she was having a panic attack , it got terribly crowded . He calmed her down , and gave her the strength to continue downstairs , live music is good , food is also good. I recommend this place .

Bouncer around the smoking area last night, his behaviour was very bad and disturbing. He was a tall ish, slim white guy with dark hair. He stroked my hand and my friends hand as we went into the smoking area. We then saw him stroke a girls belly as she walked past. Extremely inappropriate.

I love this place! I always have an amazing experience and always enjoy the food. The service is just as good. Last night and previous times I've been I have been served by Steve, who is lovely. He's so attentive and just has such a positive vibe to him, making the experience even better!

It was the first time we visited this place as our usual pub was closed. But, I'm glad we stumbled upon this one as I loved the whole atmosphere, the music, the food, and ofc the drinks. I was super hu gry sk didn't take the pictures of the food.

Wonderful venue with really amazing staff. I came a few weeks ago for one drink but ended up staying longer because of the atmosphere the bar staff brought. The live band played great songs that everyone knew making the night even more enjoyable. The next time i’m in london i will definitely be back!

Our waiter was very friendly & polite. However, the food was terrible. I had chicken wings. They were the worst chicken wings I had in my life: extremely salty & completely dry. I couldn't eat even half of it, although I was quite hungry. I strongly advise against eating at this place.

Went there to see the live band on Friday with a couple of friends and to my surprise they provide table service. Our lovely waiter, Marianne made our service smother than expected. The small plates that we ordered were amazing and the drinks were really good too. Definitely recommend

If you are a male trying to get in like everyone else, forget it. With a couple of my friends and the bouncer initially refused to let us in for no reason. Meanwhile plenty of girls were walking in beside us. When he finally said fine you can come he they tried to charge us £10 each. Again no one else had been charged once on entry. Blatant sexism, will never ever go back there. Awful place, hope the bouncer gets sacked

The vibe is incredible as soon as you walk in from atmosphere, wall art to music. Loved the big pod table in middle and that they had photobooth downstairs. Food OK, service OK, cocktails had way too much ice in it. Little suprise dessert for my partner was a nice kick at the end :)

Service is slow however the food and atmosphere was good.

I came here for a date with my mrs and had the best night. Extensive cocktail menu and my food was top shelf. She ordered the chicken taco salad which was amazing and I had the big boss burger which was absolutely boss. After the food we stayed as there was live music on and we ended up staying there until 2am. I will be visiting again soon.

Came here for lunch not too long ago, really great food and cocktails - the chicken buffalo sandwich is amazing and the £10 lunch deal is great value for money

I celebrated my friends birthday at blues kitchen a few weeks ago and it was so much fun! We hired the airstream which is such an amazing space to celebrate a birthday. Food was delicious and the spicy Margs were unreal. Loved the live band too!

Wow, what a night at The Blues Kitchen in Shoreditch! Me and my friends had a great time all evening First things first, the food was delicious and the portions were generous - definitely got our money's worth! The staff were legends too. Very friendly and always on the ball, they made us feel right at home. Thanks for looking after us! And then there was the live music - hands down the highlight of the night. The Amy Winehouse tribute band was awesome! . Looking forward to coming back again soon

I had booked the playroom on Saturday night (Shoreditch venue) for a large engagement party and it was absolutely shambolic from beginning to end. Firstly we weren’t even allowed into the room I had paid for and had to wait in the bar area because of them not being ready on time, which left my whole party just stood around with no apologies offered. The staff, especially our personal waiter for the room, Steve, was extremely rude the whole night and insulted no less than 6 of my guests, tried to pop all of the Prosecco ordered until asked not to as we wanted the groom to do it, and was extremely loud and disruptive to conversations between guests the whole dinner. The Prosecco I had preordered wasn’t provided and I had to show email evidence that I had already paid for it with a £200 deposit. All in all, I cannot in good conscience recommend this place as we all had a terrible experience and I am left extremely disappointed. Edit: Emalena from the sales team has contacted me and made amends on behalf of the restaurant as she is extremely helpful.

Music didn't start till after I left. Waste of a ticket. My friends were too drunk. Nice Vietnamese cafe nearby.

If you care about how your drinks are made and the quality of your food don't go here. If you like unoriginal tributes it's fun and fine

I couldn't enter because I'm alone. APPALLING. Many people travel alone and like to listen to live music. It seems terrible to me that they leak at the door!

Went to the blues kitchen last Friday for a friends catch up from the moment we arrived all was blinking great , we were served by Isabella who was soo soo helpful as one of my friends has an allergy and she went out her way to check everything with my friend and the chefs to make sure all was suitable for her , the service and food were spy on and then the band came on to make the evening even better than could be expect. It’s a must visit probably the best blues kitchen of the chain . Well done everyone we will be back soon best evening out in a long time !!

We had the best nigth at the Blues Kitchen in Shoreditch and can't wait to go back again soon. I rented the basement Bourbon bar for my birthday - the space is great, food and drinks were delicious and the team lead by Charlotte couldn't have been more helpful. Highly recommened it.

Came here last night for dinner with friends, decor is great, staff are friendly and engaging, and atmosphere is great! Lovely cocktails and great food, loved the live music in the evening too, would definitely recommend! Spinach and artichoke dip and chicken wings starter, smash burger, the salmon and jerk chicken for dinner, and Oreo doughnuts - all delicious!

We went to the blues kitchen for my Stag do to have some Drinks everyone was enjoying themselves. After buying a couple of drink I noticed on my phone the payment was very high for two drinks. When I questioned this with the bar stuff, there was two extra drinks on my bill. Also How many other ppl have they tried this with?? The barmaid clearly didn’t like the fact I’ve caught them out and for some reason had to go check the cctv. I was offered a refund as a good will gesture! So basically not taking any blame on themselves. Once the refund was given I was told I weren’t allowed to buy anymore drinks from this venue and had to leave. Understandably I told the barmaid what I thought of her. I won’t be going back there in a hurry. Very rude staff who try con peoples money.

We sat a table for 6. We ordered our food by 20:40h, the food was very slow, we waited around an hour for the food and the waiter who served us was really lovely and made us feel welcome all the time. However, we when complained to the hostess or floor manager, she made us feel very uncomfortable about order, said that she would check in the kitchen. She came back and said that the food was literally coming out from the kitchen. A few minutes later the waiter told us that there were many orders in the kitchen and that the order was delayed. 10 minutes later we complained again to the same floor manager, but this time she was very patronising, and had an arrogant and dismissive attitude. 15 minutes, when the food finally arrived, 2 items were missing! We complained again to the floor manager and instead of accepting that she made a mistake, she was extremely arrogant. For the second time, she had a condescending attitude which made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome; concluding it “was her word against ours”. Was it because we are immigrants and mixed group that we were treated so badly? We highlighted an issue with the order, and she wanted to blame us for their mistake. The waiter was really nice and eventually the food arrived 50 minutes after it was ordered. She then checked our table more than once to ensure that the floor manager spoke with us. It seemed to us that the floor manager didn't want to apologise but eventually she came to the table and said she would offer us a discount. Despite this ‘olive branch’, the situation deteriorated further when were meant to progress to our booth, to watch the live act. We had previously booked and paid the deposit for a booth 3 months ago, to have drinks with friends after dinner. The same manager denied we had any booking for the booth, there weren’t any booths available, and sent us back to the restaurant. When I said to her that I had a receipt, she reluctantly relented and gave us a booth, but after the treatment we had received from her our night was already spoilt. After the dinner one of my friends left the restaurant because he felt extremely humiliated by the situation. It angers me that this type of behaviour takes place in London and in a place which prides itself for promoting diversity through music. I am a black woman and I go to many places in London, I do not and will never accept being discriminated against as I was by this woman. Looking around I couldn’t see anyone from a black background in higher positions in the club. It is totally unacceptable that me and my friends experience this in London. I would very much like to see this addressed and understand what kind of measures this organisation is taking around racism and inclusion.

Spacious place to have drinks or eat something there. Live music at night and ambient music, if you love soul, blues and rock, this is your place.

Food was great and the service always fantastic.

Started off really nice, the waitress Isabella was quite sweet to start with. The food was decent, but not large portion’s, however the issue came when the bill was brought to the table. The lunch menu stated that it was 10£ for any of the lunch sandwiches + a drink, so we went with that option, but didn’t feel like taking a soda. We ended up getting a bill with 14.5£ and 13.95£ for both of our sandwiches which was surprising and when we asked, she just said “oh, it’s only if you take a drink” I asked how was I supposed to know as there is no other price on the menu and the waitress answered “well next time you know” On top of it at the beginning I misread the menu and was asking her why the main dishes are cheaper than the starters, we legit had like a 10minute conversation and not once did she mention it was not 5.95£ but 15.95£. I even told her I will take a second main if it’s so cheap that’s crazy. And she just watched me order it and said nothing. She had so many chances to just help me out. I can’t even assume it is a language barrier as we are in the UK and English is my first language 😅 We walked up and talked to a group of staff and politely said that it sucks that they didn’t let us know the price…( I’ll take a drink and not drink it if it makes my dish 4.5£ cheaper smh. ) They said that there is no manager in the building to give the code in the machine for a refund. I told them to call them on the phone then. They said oh we cannot give your card details due to GDPR on the phone. I told them you don’t need my card info to issue a refund on the card machine. They went to the back and came back and said they can issue a partial refund. To my surprise a guy walks in and says he is here for an interview with Jason (might have been a different name) and the dude I was just talking to says, “oh the general manager? Just take a seat he will be with you in a bit” So you just lied to my face about no manager being in the building? Idk seems sus. Anyways I told the waitress girl that everything is fine I don’t want her to have a bad day, no bad blood. She just completely ignored me and I assume refused to take responsibility for our interaction and lack of information she provided. Overall the ending made it a negative experience with how the staff handled the entire situation. Remember this is an establishment and there should be polices of how you handle things. I added the menu, check it out there is no other pricing for the sandwiches, only 10£ + an upgrade for 2£ which is still cheaper than what they originally asked us to pay… Please be aware of this!!

Far too overcrowded, they must have allowed people in over capacity the most recent time I went. There was barely any space, customers were getting aggressive about it by pushing people and arguing. We had planned to stay the whole night but left after two hours, half an hour of which we spent queuing to get our things from the cloakroom. Drinks are expensive too, but that's the same for most places in London.

Fun night with live music. It does get crammed on the weekend but its still a good vibe and service is great.

I went with my friends for the weekend to London and we spent Saturday at this pub. It's a great place to go in all aspects. There were ten of us and we had different dishes from the menu for dinner that everyone liked. Great attention from our Spanish waitress (from Cádiz) who treated us phenomenally. Live soul but too many people.

The food was very tasty, but when we paid it was £17 for 1 smashburger, since we didn't ask for a canned drink. If we ask, then £10, which the waitress did not indicate. He said we'll know next time. My friend told this to the manager, from whom we received a part refund. It was clear from the waitress that she didn't take responsibility, but the Manager solved it, even if she wanted to talk it out first so that she wouldn't have to give a refund.

Came here for a long needed catch up with my best friend. We started the evening with dinner in the restaurant which was delicious - honourable mention to the Oreo Donuts! Service was amazing, and really personal which we loved! We then continued our night by the stage where we enjoyed one too many palomas and the incredible live music. Can’t wait to bring more of my friends to my new favourite spot!

We went on Saturday night for music and drinks. The live music started at 11pm, at 12 pm a lot of people were living the place, I guess since they needed to commute. Then the queue for cloakroom lasted for 45 min, it was an absolute mess. Also in the cloakroom you need to pay per item and I had a jacket + thin sweater stacked inside the sleeve. The staff took out the sweater and refused to put them together which for me didn't make any sense, it was literally inside the jacket. Also the staff lost my hat in the cloakroom. Anyways, feels like dealing with the cloakroom was a huge mistake. However, music was amazing! It's a bit a pity that they start playing quite late, not for everyone.

BEWARE : RACIST STAFF Some random guy stopped us at the entrance claiming he was "checking for levels of intoxication" at the door and started aggressively picking on the only non-white person in our group, claiming he "looked at him wrong" and then kicked us out of the queue. The other staff at the entrance were right in front of us and seemed completely ok with what was happening. Needless to say we're never coming back.

Love to come here for the services and atmosphere especially from Charlie and Charlotte amazing and really professional.

I was with 3 other friends in the queue to enter The Blues Kitchen in Shoreditch when a guy turned up from nowhere (he came from behind us, i.e. the opposite direction from the door/where the other bouncers were), did not identify himself and acted in an intimidating manner towards one of my friends, who was the only non-white person in the group. We all seemed puzzled at his questions and with no warning he just turned us away without even talking to anyone else in the group other than this friend, claiming this was a "check for levels of intoxication", even though none of us was intoxicated or even close to that. It goes without saying that this is regarded as a clear example of racist behaviour, which shouldn't in any way be tolerated. It is an absolute shame that The Blues Kitchen employs such narrow-minded and harmful individuals and I can assure you my friends and I will never set foot in the place again. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
