I haven't been for a little while and this made my most recent trip all the more pleasant. Dukes has become even better or just how good the food is at this place had faded in my mind. Such great flavours. And that's before we start talking about the beers, which have always been good. Add to this friendly service from relaxed but attentive staff and it adds up to being a great place.

Both my husband and I enjoyed the Colossus platter. It definitely would have been able to be shared between three people however because it was so good we finished everything, leaving the restaurant very stuffed. Highly recommend this place!

Fantastic barbeque. We had the &quot;Colossus&quot; for two people, and weren&#039;t hungry again until late in the afternoon the day after... :) Great choice of beers as well, especially the ones from Beavertown. The place gets quite noisy, so maybe not the best place for a datenight.

Mitt i bebyggelsen ligger denna pub i hörnet av en korsning. Här fanns många goda öl att välja mellan både på fat och flaska. Vi hittade öl från Göteborg och Beerblioteket, vilket var extra roligt. Maten är fantastisk god och interiören skapar en god och mysig stämning. Väljer man att sitta utanför bland buskar och träd får man del av stads-bruset. Väl värt ett besök.

Dukes is the best place in the area - consistently good, not too expensive and gamma ray on tap.

Great food but felt rushed. Waitress gave us a 1/2 hour ‘warning’ on our table even though we’d been 15 mins delayed by the people in front, felt a bit irritated by that. She also tried to swipe our cards to pay without actually showing us the amount.

Great food, even better beer! Fried chicken sandwich and pulled pork sandwich were slopped down with ease, washed down with great Beavertown beers. Fried pickles are exceptional, even as someone who shies away from pickles normally. Only complaint is that the booking for the table only lasts 1.5 hrs (which the staff is very happy to tell you more than once). We were able to finish our food and half of our second beers in the allotted time, but after that, we struggled to find room to finish our beers, as the bar was completely full and the outdoor area is limited. Had the booking been for 2 hours, it would have been perfect.

Great new venue for us, found the food a little dry. But not put off by it, we should have ordered a salad as well.

The waitress asked three times while we were eating if we were finished when we clearly weren&#039;t. On the third occasion she came and took my boyfriend&#039;s plate while he was still eating. It was too embarrassing to stop her. We felt we were being pushed out for the table. I was a regular but I&#039;d think twice about coming back.

Si te gusta la carne de la barbacoa que le encantará. Hay mucha variedad de cervezas con diferentes cervezas de huésped en oferta. El personal es muy amable y eficiente. Os aconsejo que si la noche que nos fuimos. Tenía las alas de pollo (calurosas como entrante y tenían un poco de una patada. Hizo sus labios su ídolo. Seguido por las costillas que tenía un montón de carne que se caían del hueso. Volvería y lo recomiendo sin duda.

Great food and the sharing platter with extra sides is a great choice as you get to try a bit of pork and beef rib. They are great portion sizes.

Menu in variety was lacking. Service wasn&#039;t great. Tried 3 times to get the bill, almost left without paying. Everything on the menu was done well, but not exceptional for the price.

Once having delt with the rude difficult host you will find an average burger bar. It's not worth it. Save your money.

Pedimos el Coloso - un plato especial que incluye costillas de ternera, costillas de cerdo y pollo desmenuzado, alas, y algunas patatas fritas y mac y queso en el lateral. Las patatas fritas eran lo mejor, el resto era un poco normalito, nada especial, nada terrible. California lager era bastante buena. Sólo puedes conseguir la mesa por una hora y media, pero no te preocupes si te olvidas que te dicen cada cinco minutos.

Visited during a recent stop in London, after visiting the brewery last year. Amazing selection of fab drink and the BBQ ribs were amazing!

Having read reviews from the likes of timeout (declaring the pork ribs as one of their top 100 dishes in the capital) I have been longing to visit dukes. The food was very underwhelming. I shared the greatest hits, Chili cheese fries and a pork tip aka burnt ends special, each in turn was a poor American barbecue imitation. Each dish was bland and lacked any real sharpness. The beef rib which was very bland for my taste while the pork rib was extremely dry and tough, certainly didn't fall off the bone. The pork rib tips were pleasant but were by no means worth 8 pounds. The fries were poor and tasted frozen while the Chili cheese topping was crumbly and as equally under seasoned as the other meat. Overall a very disappointing experience, particularly given the prices. If you want real US bbq I would recommend looking elsewhere.

My sisters, niece and I did our own mini pub crawl. We stayed at a local air bnb so the pub was just down the corner. Service was great. We had wings, fried pickles and ribs. Also had cocktails and the local brew.

Visited on a Sunday evening.I had the Bastardos Wings (hotter) to start which got the spot. My mate had the rib tips which were great too, so much so, I ordered 3 ribs for my main course. That was probably too many as I was stuffed afterwards. (I still polished them all off!)We had a few beers and must commend our host who gave us pointers on the various beers on offer and made us feel very welcome.A place I'll definitely visit again when down in the capital....

What's not to like. Good range of Beavertown brews and some guest taps (if you want fresher and cheaper, take the hike to the Tottenham Hale taproom on Saturdays). Well presented barbeque options, spicy comfort food, cheerful service. Good stuff.

If you like your meat this place is a must. I'm not a big meat eater but every now and then. I tried the ribs on a recommendation, and they were amazing, seriously amazing. Nice place, craft beers from local London breweries all add to the charm. Well worth a visit.....those ribs!

En liten promenad från Kingsland Road når man denna typiska baren i London-stil som har en mysig inredning, trevlig och glad personal som får oss att känna oss välkomna. De har ett bra utbud av god öl som vi testade flera olika. De hade Beerbliotekets öl från Göteborg på burk vilket vi uppskattade, Maten är fantastiskt och jag garanterar att man blir mätt. Inget knussel här utan väl tilltagna portioner, Tack för det. Vi kommer tillbaka.

I've been to Duke's many time's even though I'm not a real meat lover. I must say that their selection of beers is in itself is worth a visit. Their ribs are amazing, and once I've had steak salad that was on daily specail and it was amazing, with tasty parmesan dressing. Great food and service! If you are into beer, it's really hard to make choice as there is a battery of beers to choose from! :)

Super food! Super service! Super beers! All round Superiority, I don't normally post reviews here as I'm a chef myself so I occasionally feel the burns. Shannon our host was impeccable too. My only suggestion is that the coleslaw needs tasting before it goes out, texture was there but zero flavour in terms of seasoning or depth, mayo with crunchy bits in. A small detail, cracking otherwise! Keep it up, sort the slaw ;).

Fantastic as always. One of the best selections of craft beers (with a plethora of local breweries on the list), with absolutely immense food. If you love American-style smokehouses, this is the place to go. 17oz beef rib can never go amiss, or if you&#039;re not feeling like Fred Flintstone embodied, you can always go for one of the tastiest burgers in the capital.

Consistently top quality BBQ. The beef blade rib is amazing, the pork ribs melt in the mouth and the wings...oh the wings; crisp, crunchy and a decent burst of heat.

It's taken a while but I have finally managed to get down to Dukes Brew &amp; Que for a beer.It's not the kind of place that I think you'd be able to sit and drink all day, the place was set out for dinners; however the beer was incredibly good. There beer is really worth a trip out, especially if you can grab a bench out the front in the sun. I thought that the beer was reasonably priced too, especially when considering that you can pay £6+ for craft beer elsewhere in the country.I'll be there next time I'm down that way!

We thoroughly enjoyed our night at dukes, the ribs were outstanding and the burger was great, came out totally full up cant wait to come again.

Went here on a Saturday evening with our two kids. (No kids after 7 which is fair enough as it's a pub). The food was brilliant, great booze too!

We went here with our son on his recommendation, he loves his ribs! We all had the basic one beef +one pork rib + coleslaw and sides of mac n' cheese and fries. All excellent and the cribs were so enormous none of us could manage dessert. They also have a very good selection of beers, the two from Beavertown I tried, one mango and the other blood orange were unusual but a lovely change.Good unrushed service although we arrived early at 6:30 and it was already very busy even on a horrible day.

Dukes undoubtedly do some awesome ribs, some of the best I've had in London, and was one of my favourite restaurants for a treat. However the last time we went the restaurant has changed its policy on length of time you're allowed the table which is now one and a half hours. Essentially the waiter rushed us to order, came over during the meal to tell us we had to finish up quickly and then informed us that we had to leave without offering coffee, dessert, etc. Further the beef ribs had sold out by the time we had arrived (@7pm) and the prices had been increased. We certainly won't be going again.

Might have just been an off day, but we were pretty disappointed by the food here. Everything we ordered was not as described in the menu or by the waitress.Ordered the bone marrow burger, described as medium rare in the menu. The waitress double checked medium rare was OK with us and then then burgers arrived well done. It didn't taste particularly flavourful or of bone marrow at all. The chips were good, seasoned with paprika. Also came with a coleslaw and beetroot salad thing. Ordered the 'hotter' chicken wings (again the waitress told us these were too hot for her but we said we'd give it a go) which were not very hot at all. My threshold for heat isn't particularly high either. The blue cheese dip was tasty. Obviously the beer is very good here, as it's the Beavertown tap house, and they have lots of other very nice beers (a large selection of bottles especially). Saturday lunch seems to attract lots of families and young children here. Service charge is 12.5% on all bills, but we didn't think the service warranted this.

I was really disappointed with Dukes Brew &amp; Que. A couple of friends had recommended it and I had wanted to go for a while but it didn&#039;t live up to my expectations.<br />The food was below average and overpriced for what it was (£9 for a side of pulled pork mac n cheese). I ordered the skirt steak which was meant to be medium rare but arrived well done and bland, I also got the juices from the meat poured over my lap. My date had the pork ribs which he said were flavourless so he only had a few mouthfuls. You only get the table for an hour and a half so we weren&#039;t even offered the dessert menu! I definitely wont be going back.

Positives first: Tasty flat iron steak and drinks, proactive attentive service inc over the phone and socmed. Negatives: Pork ribs were dry, significant variability in doneness among the rare steaks ordered, a bit pricey, portions on the small side (girlfriend had to get two steaks)

We needed to stop on route through for dinner and didn't have much time. Found Dukes on Trip Advisor and we were so glad we did! The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. Far exceeded expectation. When we walked past later that night it was buzzing and looked even more appealing

We took my brother here who was visiting London. The boys had the renowned beef ribs which were phenomenal tasting, if not excessively large! The food was good and decent beer menu. I had a cocktail which was nice too.Very buys and buzzy pub - it's not for a quiet night.

If you come here order the best short-rib; it is the best thing on the Menu. Was pretty disappointing with the normal pork Ribs though.Home of Beavertown beer, which is amazing by the way. Gamma-Ray is my fav. Acoustics are rubbish though, my dad really struggled to here anything, also staff were pushy at the end to get us off the table. Which I found uncomfortable, while I was still eating I was asked to hurry up 4 times by separate staff members who were unaware the last one had also asked us. So kinda spoiled the end of our dinner I must say.

Ate here over the Easter weekend when a friend who was visiting London and had a craving for ribs suggested it. I enjoy ribs but I usually wouldn't travel to the East-end for them. Now I would gladly make the trip again!Between us we had the special burger; marrow and beef, which was absolutely delicious. Had never had a marrow burger before. Only downside was the marrow wasn't as falvourful as I would have like. We also got the Greatest Hits, which is a combo of beef short rib, pork rib and pulled pork. There was nothing 'short' about the short rib. It was about as long as my forearm and just as meaty.We also had the flat iron steak which looked and tasted delicious.These weren't the best ribs I've had but if you're hungry and want to walk away satisfied then this is the place for you!

The place is peaceful. Staff was great. Food was also amazing. I ate Duke's Burger and my friend ate Pork Ribs. Both were amazing. Recommended.

Me and my boyfriend cam here for lunch. Incredible service and food. The tall chick at the bar, Amy I think? Incredible service. fellow New Zealander like ourselves. Her understanding of the beers, origins and overall info was insane, so up with it and happy to help. So nice to find somewhere in London with bar staff enjoying their jobs, having a laugh and helping out with whatever they can. Thanks Amy. Best service to date in this city for almost 2 years. Plus points: Food was really tasty - we had the flat iron (steak tender and cooked perfectly) + pork ribs (super tasty and lots of meat!). Reasonably priced for what you get as fries and slaw included.<br />Great beer selection, cocktails were okay.<br /><br />Let down a little by the service (as always the case in London!). Staff were not particularly friendly or attentive - although the food came out pretty quickly.<br />They were very attentive however when it came to the bill and I did feel very rushed to get out as soon as I&#039;d finished eating the plates were whipped away (despite ordering another round of £10 cocktails instead of desert!). Not unusual in London by any means but leaves something to be desired. <br /><br />It&#039;s also very very loud in brew and q, we didn&#039;t mind, good atmosphere for a casual get together with friends.

Big fan of Beavertown craft beer (this place is it's original home) so I was very interested to see this place and eat the well reviewed food. Had the pork ribs, and fried pickles (I'm a big fan of these generally) served with creole garlic remoulade sauce. Lovely crispy coating.Blooming marvellous! Best rib meat we have had in some time, just fall off the bone brilliant. There were a selection of sauces and served with coleslaw and pickled red onion.Of course the selection of craft beer was excellent. The staff are friendly and efficient. We saw the burgers being served to others (going back to try them!)

I've known about this place for some time, but with the explosion of BBQ restaurants in London and elsewhere never got round to visiting. On realising it was the home of the Beavertown brewery whose Lupoloid IPA is a favourite of mine it gave me an added reason to visit. Very glad I did. We were only sharing, as had plans to eat at many other places too, so opted for the ribs. They literally restored my faith in a well smoked rib, as many I've had fall far short of this. The sauces and pickles complemented the meat and I will definitely be back to try more things from the menu. It goes without saying the beer selection is great. Worth the trip out of town any day.

We went for the headline combo of beer and BBQ. The Beavertown beers on tap were nice, the selection was a bit small and none of their more interesting creations were there, although the staff had a good knowledge of what they had. The staff were attentive, despite it being busy, and the table service felt like it added value. <br />The food was expensive. The price point prohibits one from trying many of the dishes on the menu. This was a shame, most of our party opted for the cheaper options, which were ok. I wasn&#039;t impressed with my flat iron steak. We had a vegetarian with us. The halloumi burger was bland and very expensive!

Amazing food, good service. Only thing I was disappointed by is the fact when reserving I told them this was for my boyfriends birthday. When they called to confirm the reservation on the day they asked if I&#039;d like candels for the occasion. I said sure, thanks so much! Unfortunately this never materialised. We saw another couple get a candle which was a little awkward! Nevertheless we had a great meal.

I popped in here with my family. My daughter had a burger which she loved and I had a steak that was out of this world. The service was fantastic with nothing being to much trouble. The craft beers and ciders were also good with a wide selection. The best bit though was the friendly and fun atmosphere.

We came here at about 4:30 on a Saturday, we were politely told that the kitchen didn't open until 5.30 but we were welcome to get a table and some drinks - which we did! A great selection of beers on offer and I had a delicious apple crumble cocktail.I ordered the chicken burger with cheese and it was divine! crispy coating and an amazing garlic mayo sauce inside. We shared sides of chicken wings and mac and cheese which were also fantastic. I dont know if it was because we were slightly drunk at this point or just massively hungry but I actually could have cried the food was that good.Its certainly not cheap. Our meals, sides and drinks came to £80+ but as a one off treat it was definitely worth it. Not likely to venture to that area of London again but if we lived nearer we would definitely return.Service was also great.

Second time at this place, was very impressed the first time around but will not be coming back given the horrible service.This time around the staff were highly unprofessional, rude and clearly the policy of DBQ is now just to churn tables as we kept getting harassed by staff to clear out our table during the meal. Additionally, staff were:- Insensitive to guests we invited who had very reasonable dietary requests - effectively said take the menu as it is and can't accommodate despite availability of items.- Seated us at 7.30pm, told us at 8.05pm that we would have to vacate the table by 9pm, and we had not even ordered yet. Server then started giving us a lecture on how we should have paid attention when booking (which we did online) for the 1.5 hours seating disclaimer (which was non-existent). When we gave feedback that they should have told us this when seating us rather than rushing us to eat in 50 mins, server continues to argue back.- Servers kept hovering over our table and harassing us to take plates away when we were all clearly still eating.Restaurants should remember they are in the service industry.

Our friends had been raving about this place for months. We eventually set up a date to go and the food was everything we could have hoped for.Their cocktails aren't great so it's probably best to stick to some beers and let the food do the talking.

I had a fantastic meal with friends at Dukes - it's a meat lover's paradise, the food is really good and has everything you want - burgers, ribs and mac &amp; cheese were highlights. I had a salad and shared it as a side which would've been disappointing if I'd chosen it as my main meal. It's on our doorstep and I've walked past a few times thinking it's a pub - it's a real neighbourhood gem and we'll definitely be eating here again.

We have always been extremely satisfied here but this time, some of the meat dishes were not to the usual high standard. The steak did not taste anything like a 21 day aged rib eye. It came medium rare as requested but was rather chewy and lacking in flavour. The beef rib tasted dry and over done. The usually pleasantly crispy surface was tough and difficult to cut with a knife. Underneath, apart from the meat closest to the bone, it was dry and stringy.Luckily, the delicious medium rare burger, the seasoned fries and the side dishes and dips compensated to some degree. And as always, the Beavertown beers and the friendly attentive service make any visit worthwhile.

The Beavertown beers are excellent especially Gamma Ray and Neck Oil.Dukes were able to cater for such a large party extremely well and didn't make a fuss when i spilt a drink all over the floor by accident.Highly recommended for a special occasion.

Good. Shame they weren&#039;t doing the rack of beef ribs. And the beef ribs were delicious but not the &#039;fall off the bone&#039; variety as apparently they used to be there.<br /><br />Still. Great munch. Sweet service. Perfect for Christmas beers and food with the lads.
