Pretty nice breakfast. I do wish they had gluten free toast. A bit on the pricey side but did enjoy our coffee refills!

Who knew Eggs Benedict could be improved…. Hash E8 did. They knew, they went for it, and then they educated the rest of us. Genius! The English muffin is replaced with HASH BROWNS… and now life will never be the same again. Thank you Hashy, for one of the best brunches I’ve had !

My favourite breakfast/brunch place around. The food is fantastic and for the quality and quantity very reasonable. Definitely recommend! You may wait a few mins, but y'know, you for quality, innit?

Lovely food, can't beat the price for a brunch.

Loved it! No room in the main cafe, so we were shown to the coffee/sandwich bar next door. The vegetarian breakfast was so good. Homemade baked beans, homemade hash browns, halloumi, half an avocado, gorgeous mushrooms, grilled tomato, two fried eggs and some lovely bread, slightly toasted. Hash Benedict was also a winner, two of the ever-so-tasty hash browns with poached eggs, hollandaise with homemade umami dust and some greenery. Good prices too, don't get to Hackney much, but will go here again. Not far from Hackney Downs Station.

Hash E8 is excellent. Great food with a range of wonderful breakfast / brunch choices. Have had the pig muffin which is excellent and the full English.

Confusing queueing system involving the shop next door (?) - made to wait in the rain when there were empty tables because of lack of communication between the two (?) shops. We just left instead.

My first time ordering food from this place, The food looks good in the pictures. The potion was so small, I didn’t like the hash brown at all (first time in my life) not sure what potato that was. Did not enjoy the home-cooked beans. It was different, but I’m sure others enjoy them. I enjoyed the egg and the bacon. I just think we need to be mindful when leaving views about small businesses. And the toast was so small! The smallest host of ever been given with a breakfast. Don’t think I would be ordering again.

Oh my word ............ I have not eaten food that amazing for a very long time. 10/10 and will definitely be going back as much as I can. Portions are HUGE!!

Short walk from the main street in dalston. This seemed to be a popular spot. Constant stream of customers but didn't feel under pressure to eat and get out. Portions were sizable without being over-facing. Food was tasty. Star lost for grubby seat covers / cushions and very sticky tables.

Great food, service was terrible, waiters swearing at us when we asked to pay separately and making us feel unwelcome

Fantastic breakfast, if I lived locally I'd be here every week. Home made baked beans are a rare treat, good bread - a must for a great breakfast, lots of other home made goodies as well. My only criticism is that the tea didn't come in a pot, but evening else was so good in overlooking it 😊

J'y suis allée avec ma famille pour tester l'English breakfast lors de notre voyage. On a pris un Half english pour 8£50 (très bon prix, je trouve). La nourriture était délicieuse et la dame qui nous a accueilli et servi était très aimable et polie. Je recommande cet endroit!

i’ve been to many brunch places but this is by far the best. such good quality food and lovely staff. also amazing value. had the pig, pork belly brunch and blueberry pancakes to finish ! also had the unlimited refill filter coffee and a baileys iced coffee

Went for breakfast and found the food inedible. Seasoned exclusively, and excessively, with chicken stock cubes which they refer to as "umami dust". Bizarre. Also, no coffee other than filter

I went there with my family on Sunday morning and the brunch was fantastic! I recommend everybody going there and enjoy a huge meal for a day walking trough the city.

I have only heard good things and Hash didn’t disappoint, the service was swift and friendly, food unfussy and tasty, we both had half a full English which was the perfect amount but then left room to treat ourselves to some pancakes as a dessert. Great spot for brunch.

The best English breakfast in London. Every time I come to the UK I need to come here as well. All the products are exquisite but my favourite is definitely the black pudding (that's why I like to order one extra!). Five stars is not enough!

Best homemade English breakfast ever. The beans were spectacular with a twist and seasoned perfectly to taste. Never had a hash brown like this one. The French toast was also perfect. Definitely returning!!

Tasty, no-frills brunch/breakfast offer. Good portions, great selection. A contemporary yet unpretentious take on the traditional Caff concept. The coffee offer could be slightly better, but the filter coffee is not bad!

First thing to say is how friendly and lovely the staff were. And the chorizo and sweet potato with poached eggs was fabulous, although it was overloaded with chorizo, which I never thought I'd find myself saying. I was full for the rest of the day. The downsides were no coffee machine although you can buy different coffees next door and bring them in. I was overcharged £10 but it was a mistake because I'd changed table and no issue to get the refund. Great choices for breakfast and will definitely be back to try other options.

It took a while to be seated but it is definitely worth the wait, and the vegan/veggie options are worth a try. I will definitely be returning!

Not for vegetarians. I’ve heard the meat breakfasts are amazing but the veggie breakfast is a lot of undercooked kale and mushroom. I wouldn’t normally write a bad review without having said anything at the time, but I was the only person in there and none of the staff asked how the food was despite the fact I only ate the hash brown. I don’t understand why are vegetarians only allowed a beetroot hash when meat eaters can have a proper one? I know it’s meant to be greasy spoon vibes but the toast is dry sliced bread and the coffee is really bad. Very over priced for the quality.

Terrible veggie breakfast. Huge amount of inedible kale and mushroom. The beetroot hash was the only nice part of the breakfast and I think a proper hash brown which is only available for meat eaters would be much nicer. Dry sliced bread toast and really bad coffee. I hate giving a bad review without giving staff a chance to resolve at the time but I was one of the only people in there on a weekday and none of the 3 members of staff asked how the food was, even when they collected an almost full plate of un-eaten food. Just don’t offer a veggie breakfast if you only want to serve meat eaters.

Good food but took forever to get served. Waited an hour to order and then for the food. They were busy and we got sat next door but seemed to be forgotten.

I recently went to hashe8 and 🤩 wow their food can feed 2 people the pancakes were amazing. I loved the filter coffee staff were amazing even though it got very busy and you could see they were working hard they took the time to speak to me. Definitely will be back for more goodness. Those pancakes were so fluffy light and very filling definitely helped cure my hangover.

This used to be my favourite breakfast place in Hackney. But since it changed management it has lost its edge. The food used to be amazing, and now it is just ok. The atmosphere has totally changed. So it does not have my given 5 stars anymore.

Great food…but the slowest kitchen ever, 58mins from ordering to getting food. Gave them a second chance and it was just as slow. My advise, don’t go hungry.

Best pancakes I've had in London

Struggling to find a proper cooked breakfast in London ? This is the place. Top quality, not cheap but worth the visit. Full English is the best in class but also any of the benedicts are lovely also. Free refills on the coffee to wash it down. Recommend at the price if you are insatiable in appetite.

Such a nice (in reality - filthy - in the best possible way) brunch. A lovely, attentive and super friendly server. I had the pig muffin and it was insane and so flavoursome. OJ was actually freshly squeezed and there was a good amount of it. Want to come back here for something sweet next time!

One of the best breakfast I’ve ever have in London. You can taste the food quality, and prices are very reasonable. Customer service was good and fast. We had blueberry pancakes, hash Benedict with Halloumi and side of hash brown. Hash brown in this place is very delicious and much different than any other places. Only if I can give it more than five stars.

Favourite brunch spot in London. The hash dishes are amazing (chorizo and sweets is always done perfectly). Never ending coffee, tots, brunch cocktails, and other breakfast staples make it great for anyone. Friendly staff and outside seating, too.

Really delicious food with a great variety for veggies and vegans. We ended up ordering two different breakfasts and splitting them so we could avoid fomo. The pancakes and the eggs florentine were just 👌🏼 if you don't order the bucket of tots with hollandaise you've missed a trick! Staff were really nice, friendly and jokey even though the place was completely dammed. Price was really good too. We will definitely be coming back, totally worth the journey.

I was craving some blueberry pancakes and Hash E8 did not fail me ! The pancakes were fluffy and the staff forced me to have them with Greek yogurt, literally a match made in heaven !! Super affordable menu, great ambiance, AMAZING STAFF. I can not stress this enough, the staff were awesome ! They made a little space for me to work in their resto-café and made sure I was happy and served me the best (the best best best) pancakes I’ve had in London. 10,000 percent recommend !

Had my birthday brunch here for 9 people on a Thursday and it was all perfect. No coffee machine but good value coffee with refills and love the cocktails.

Nice little brunch place with a good range of breakfast favourites and some with a nice modern twist. My pancakes were fabulous, deep fluffy and rich. Friendly staff and quick service. Oddly they don’t have a coffee machine so they loose a star there, but tasty filter refills were welcome.

It's one of my favourite breakfast spot! Always busy during the weekends. The food is good, always fresh and local. They have vegetarians and vegans option and they also have few cocktails on the menu. I love the fact that is the only place in the area where I can get Nutella Pancakes :) the staff is also always friendly.

English people like their breakfast a lot, they like it too!!! but you hardly see English around here, it's a rarity. .that pir sign is very good. This cafe I know the owner is very polite and committed to what I recommend visiting. a simple but cozy space and the kitchen seems to be clean but I didn't go in to see everything in detail. I think it's worth it.

Been coming here with my wife since we researched where to get great pancakes near us. This special place, not only serves up amazing pancakes 🥞 and fantastic breakfasts - but the people are just the cherry on top. Genuine, down to earth, hard working and always serving with a smile. :) It’s our favourite breakfast place and we’ll be coming here for many many more breakfasts/brunches to come. :)

Food left near toilets🤢🤢🤢 Visited hash e8 after reading several good reviews - sincerely wished I hadn’t! Arrived early Tuesday morning, place was empty apart from another couple. Waitress was not interested, not bothered in taking our order - engrossed in whatever was on her phone. Ordered food and drinks eventually, and then went to the toilet. Toilets were clean and tidy. It was when I left and returned to my seat that I spotted it. A mound of sausages and bacon, looking slightly pre-cooked and just left there in the walkway between restaurant and toilet. Nothing covering them, flies all over them - just sat there. What are they doing there?!? Returned to my seat and food was there, no coffee though. Ate toast and beans, left everything else. Had to chase for my coffee. Just avoid this place. It’s generally grubby and unclean, food was greasy, service was terrible and the hygiene was poor - you just never know where what you’re eating has been!!! Deserves a visit from food hygiene. Appalling.

This place is so amazing! Understated interior and true East London community feel at this cafe. Decided to stop here for brunch and had some eggs florentine and the legendary white chocolate pancakes. The eggs florentine sauce was delicious and the eggs were perfectly cooked. The pancakes had a lot of sauce or grease floating around. Not sure if this was formerly the white chocolate which had melted but they were delicious. If you're not a fan of soggy pancakes try the savoury options! Worth a visit!

This little café, snuggled in Hackney, offers a wide selection of breakfast classics to please every pallet (with Vegan options). I went for the half breakfast option of sausage, bacon, egg, toast, hash brown, and homemade baked beans (which were tasty). However, the blueberry pancakes were pillowy soft and held a generous amount of fruit that burst through in purple trickles of yummyness. I'll be back to try something else off the impressive menu the next time the all-day-breafast urge strikes again.

Delicious food - even as a takeaway! I don’t often eat a ‘memorable’ tuna sandwich but boy, they really nailed every component. However, I thought it was a tad overpriced for the portions, in the context of the local area and relative pricing of other comparable restaurants etc. I will visit the restaurant in person for sure, and may amend my review, as the pictures posted do look like better value than the takeaway portions we received.

This is a massive go to of mine. I love to go there but I also order if I'm too busy to leave my desk. Stills arrives hot and tasty. I order the Hash Benedict most of the time and its always delicious.
