This is not a review, it’s a love letter. We’ve always loved Chick’n Sours but we moved to quite far and haven’t been back for 7 years. Fixed that mistake last night for my husband’s bday and told them of the special occasion on the booking. They had balloons on the wall waiting for us, the food was as good as we remembered and when we asked for the bill, they surprised us with a trio of cupcakes (we’re a family of 3) and a candle to sing happy birthday. They really showed us what hospitality is all about. We went home with bellies full of the best fried chicken you can find in London, that lived up to all the memories we had of it. Came in at 7, was the only person in there, had to wave the server down for water/order/payment, ordered a cocktail that I never received, the drink was still on the bill, noticed and pointed it out, wasn’t even asked if I wanted the drink no apologies just “whoops”. Staff is joking around in the back and if I hadn’t paid attention I would have been charged. Sunday night shift.

We was really looking forward to finally trying this restaurant however out of the 5 options on the burger menu 3 of them of not available which happened to be the burger we wanted. In future when giving the menu you need to state what is available and what isn’t from the beginning.

The wings and burgers are unbelievable! Always a difficult choice trying to decide what to have from such a delicious menu… my favourite spot in London for hot wings and the k-pop burger is an unreal mixture of vinegary spicy crunchy goodness - would recommend! Always speedy and considerate service from the friendly staff

Been to this restaurant several times on Leister square, now we decided to visit this one for the first time and it was great! The food is as delicious as always, the service was even better than the one in central London in my opinion. For those who haven’t been here before, this is a great chicken place, amazing flavours, and everything is very delicious. I would personally recommend Kung Pao chicken wings, beef fried fries and bang bang cucumbers.

Excellent burgers, great fries and some spicy cucumber to top it off. Delicious Friday evening treat!

UN-FUGGIN-REALLLL. It is exactly what you expect it to be. Super crispy chicken. Flavours that just work well. Really neat and organised menu and restaurant. Staff were chill yet attentive and polite. Relaxed environment and didn't wait long for food. Mad mad props to the chef. EVERY single item that came out was cooked to perfection and crispiness. High quality chicken. Really enjoyed the spicy popcorn chicken. However, the other flavours were not as nice as I'd hoped. Quite pricey too. Service was very good despite it being late in the evening.

Went back to Chick 'n' Sours after 7 years and its still as good as ever was - 1 general burger - 1 k pop burger - plus fries tenders and it was all crispy tasty fresh and made me want to come back sooner. keep up the great food

So, we went along to Chick 'n' Sours but I had requested a While Fry 48 hours in advance and wow, was it worth every penny. The chicken is brined I believe in advance and then deep fried in a crispy coating. It was moist, had the Gouchujang sauce was spicy and smooth with it. I have to say we were impressed. The cocktails were wonderful especially the chick 'n' club, that is some drink. Good value, great food very good atmosphere.

Just hit up Chicken n’ Sours in Dalston with a mate, and we both went for The General burger. Proper crispy chicken, packed with flavour, though the chicken piece is massive – bit of a mission to eat but worth it! Empty plates in the picture below to prove it ☺️ The whole vibe is nice, and the team -Cute and handsome – top service all round. Definitely recommend if you're after some solid fried chicken and good energy.

Kung pao wings were nasty, tasted like aniseed, the hot wings were much better. Green slaw was refreshing and the sauces were solid: I tried hot sauce, siracha sour cream and kewpie mayo. Food was good whilst eating it but the acid reflux after wasn’t worth it at all

I don't know how they make the wings but honestly, best wings I've ever had. Hot wings are perfectly spicy and tangy. Kung pao wings are on a whole new level, sweet, spicy, crunchy, spring onions add a freshness. Go just for the wings.

Very good service , Erica was very helpful , very joyful and amazing personality , really made us feel at home , the food was absolutely amazing compliments to the chef !! Overall loved my experience will definitely be returning!!

Excellent food, really warm service. The bang bang cucumber dish and the sandwiches were great! Not overly oily but flavorful at the same time.

Absolutely recommend chick n sours, incredible burgers and wings. Had the bicep burger which was so good, defo need to come back to try the whole chicken. Might hold off on the buffalo burger next time because I did feel that the sauces were a bit too overpowering and didn't let the rest of the burger shine, but it still did taste very good.

It was very busy when we came in but Caliyah made us feel welcome immediately, she informed us about the menu and the specials and answered all the questions we had, best service I’ve had in a long time! Thanks Caliyah and team!

I was served by the lovely young man in a white shirt, he was very attentive and polite when taking our order!  The food was delicious and was served in within 15 minutes of being seated.

The General - what a burger! 🐓 🍔 probably the best chicken burger of my life. Also those beef dripping fries are a must. The sides were also good - you have to come here to unlock the rest of this review yourself, - it’s so good I don’t want to say too much. Perfect comfort food - come here if you’ve had a bad day… Staff here are lovely and whoever is frying that chicken is a champion. Decor here is very nice. Also I really liked the wallpaper in the loos.

I came here with my friends before going out for my birthday and we absolutely loved it! The food was incredible, the atmosphere was great and Em the manger made sure we had a great time and got everything we needed. Definitely one of my new favourite restaurants in London!!

The food was absolutely delicious. The staff member was kind and sweet. We really enjoyed the wings in Korean glaze. We're definitely planning on returning for the whole chicken next time!

I went for dinner with my friends and managed was very rude and unprofessional. I can see he is also rude and bullying with delivery drivers. Owner should be take action against manager immediately.

Lovely meal! The restaurant is under new management & you can really tell. The food was hot & delicious. The service was great and our waiter was super attentive. Having been disappointed a couple months ago with the service, I’m happy we gave it another chance. We will be back very soon ☺️

Expect to pay a mandatory 12.5% tip because it will automatically be added to your bill, they should use that extra money to buy something to clean the mould in the bathroom! It was absolutely disgusting and made me doubt all their hygiene practices! The cleaning equipment is kept in an open locker in the unisex toilets which is off putting, it's fine to have a casual atmosphere but only when you are doing the work you are demanding to be tipped for! Won't be back.

Loved the buffalo soldier sandwich. Just the right amount of crunch and spice. Watermelon salad was very good. Eclectic art on the walls.

Cool place. They were super lovely even though I showed up last night 20 minutes before closing....a starving girl in pink just needing my fill of fried chicken and chips, they were willing to let me order take out! Hahahaha. They were able to make me some food so I can start my night of drinking and merriment. 10/10 would recommend.

We had dinner here last night (take away) and the food was amazing, the service was great too. We didn't eat in but the decor was nice so will definitely do that next time! The bang bang cucumbers were a stand out, and the vegan burger was probably the best vegan chicken burger I've ever had (they can be very hit and miss).

My server Caliyah was amazing! So helpful guiding me through the cocktails and recommended me the Kung Pao wings which were absolutely amazing!!! I couldn’t have done it without her, such a fantastic asset to the company, couldn’t ask for better service.

I found a big chunk of hair in my burger and did not provide me any assistance / some sort of compensation whatsoever.

Very fast place specializing in chicken. The team works incredibly quickly, both in front of the counter and in the kitchen, but when it comes to advice on the dips, more explanation can be expected. The ambience is as expected but cozy. The tenders were delicious, spicy, crispy and super tender and the sour cocktail (habanero rum) was delicious.

Best chicken wings! Absolutely amazing, first visit and it didn't disappoint. Food was fast and piping hot. Wings were delicious - sauce incredible, loved the tenders, and dips, and had the Buffalo burger which was like nothing we've tasted before. In and out in an hour, £60 for 2.
