Fish was perfect expensive but worth it

I visited here for the first time this evening. The food is so greasy. It’s just horrid. The only thing that was good is the fruit curry sauce. Fairly pricey too. I will be going back to Hungry’s in Tranmere. Worth the drive. Plus you get more for your money, it’s cheaper and not greasy.

Simple curry and chips..and a pie dinner..blumin disgusting..chips not cooked..zero taste..how can you stay open whilst serving this rubbish and charging too much.

Good service is always served with a smile. Good quality food and portions one of regular takeaways

No taste in char sui fried rice, chips were warm ups and hard in the middle also very very greasy, I tried to get some of the Greece off with kitchen roll can't believe I paid £3 for a portion of chips which were not many and apsolutley rank ! Threw up what bit I did eat, Won't be going back Avoid

Ordered a chicken fried rice, the whole meal had 3 little bits of chicken in it. (Should of just ordered egg fried rice)

1st time using this chippy. The food was good, and the service was quick. The only negative was that the chip portion size was small but would go again

Ordered a chicken sichuan with fried rice. The sauce and rice were nice but the chicken was absolutely RANK ( if it was indeed chicken ). It was so soft you could mash it with a fork....disgusting. Never again

Brilliant fish and chips chicken fry rice same

I discovered this chippy only two weeks ago when passing by, they didn't have any haddock so I had cod and chips instead, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I've been back today and have had haddock and chips, the batter was light and crispy and the chips were freshly made and it was absolutely delicious. It's taken me 4 years living here to find fish and chips that I enjoy. I will definitely be going back.

I first went to the blue sea roughly 40 years ago, food fantastic, staff awesome, always has been, living in Scotland now and visit this chippie everytime I'm down, they even accept our Scottish notes and us asking for pie supper instead of pie dinner, great place highly recommended

Got to say this is the best Chippy for miles and been going there for over 35 years , the staff are great and very friendly. The food is spot on , very fresh fish and all the Chinese meals are very tasty. It’s also very clean and tidy . I just love it there , favourite place .

A chippy is just a chippy ..unless it's The Blue Sea. The food is always spot on. BIG and TASTY portions that are reasonably priced. The staff, are fabulous, always a ready smile, and often a bit of a laugh. Give them a try you will not be disappointed

The food was awful. Chow mein was tasteless and chips were cold, pale and undercooked. The last meal before this one was terrible too but I just thought it was a one off. Obviously not. The blue sea just doesn’t serve the quality of food it used to - will never use this place again.

Schezwan chicken was tasteless. Salt and pepper chips were soggy Very disappointing. Fried rice and curry were OK but nothing special

Absolute rip off. Very expensive and the specual curry was mainly a load of onions with cheap ham strips. Will NEVER go there again.

Very poor just picked up meal and has gone straight in bin. The prawn crackers were possibly the worst I’ve ever had. Cooked in dirty fat smelt disgusting had a yellow tinge to them, cause the oil is dirty. Please avoid at all costs.

Rude woman member of staff. I was over charged too, only realised once I got home. Waited ages to collect order that I phoned through. Waste of time and money, as nice as the food was, it's not worth going through that again, it wasn't that good! I won't be returning.
