I have visited the Blossom Bird multiple times on different trips to the Lake District and it is always worth the stop on the way there or on the way home. It truly is the most fantastically run cafe and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the surrounding area. My most recent trip consisted of the most brilliant lunch, the staff are always so friendly and chatty!! Could not recommend this place enough, absolutely pay it a visit!

Expected a crowd on a Bank Holiday weekend but we seemed to have got out of bed earlier than everyone else. Almost straight to the counter for prompt, cheerful and helpful service. I’d heard about the sausage rolls and wasn’t disappointed. Great mocha courtesy of trainee barista Sarah . There was a lovely buzz in and outside. Well done Nicky and Steve. Only 4 stars because of the necessary COVID restrictions but no reflection on the service.

My wife bought a meat and potato pie here for my lunch (her idea, “to support local business”). When I took it out of the foil I saw that the base of the pie was uncooked i.e. almost raw pastry across the whole of it. If it hadn’t been for the pouring rain I would have taken it back.

I don't know if this place has changed hands since the nice reviews have been given but we were extremely disappointed. We had to order and pay at the counter even though it is meant to be table service only. My chair was right next to someone on the next table and when I tried to move it around so that we were back to back, I was told to leave it where it was. The staff don't seem to know what table service means. I didn't feel covid safe.

We often call at the Blossom bird for lunch after, or during, one of the many walks in the area.It really is a great place with homemade food, wonderful service and such a friendly atmosphere.Due to Covid there are less tables and the menu is restricted slightly but the food is still superb! and it is a really lovely place for lunch or just coffee and some of the wonderful homemade cakes.

Been here a number of times both for a drink or to eat as well. Last time we went in we sat down, took our warm clothes off, perused the menu, chatted with another customer. I then went to place an order to be told they were short staffed and only doing drinks. The cafe wasn’t full & other customers appeared to all have their order so it wasn’t as if they were to busy to come and tell us. Now I fully understand being short staffed and doing drinks only and don’t have a problem with that. What I do have a problem with was being allowed to spend so long in there before being told. We had walked for an hour to get there and needed to eat, we would have left straight away. Better communication please!

A delightful cafe in the centre of the village -it's cosy, modern and clean. The home-made scones and cakes are awesome and there's also a lunch menu. This is is not just a place for visitors as local people drop in on a daily basis. The cafe owner, Sam, is very welcoming and you will not be disappointed.

Called in for a brunch on a cold windy day. Nice and warm inside, pretty quick service. The tuna and cheese toastier were very substantial with decent bit of salad as well. The hot drinks were good also, gingerbread chai was a first.

We were looking to have lunch somewhere new and found this gem on Trip Advisor. Whilst it is on the main road it is a little bit hidden. We ordered two ham and cheese toasties and they were delicious. One decaf latte and one normal. The owner asked how strong we liked our coffee and they were perfect and lovely and hot. The owner is really friendly and said that she makes the cakes. We didn't sample any on this visit but they looked delightful. Will be visiting again and would recommend.

I visit the Lake District as often as I can with family and also as a motorcyclist which is a one hour drive from my home. This gorgeous cafe in the quaint village of Silverdale is a must visit. The quality of the food is fantastic from their sandwiches to the superb selection of cakes. And the coffee is in my opinion one of the best I have tasted. You will not get better quality food/value for money. I had a ham sandwich, lovely tasty ham, on the most delicious chunky brown bread with a fresh side salad/coleslaw and crisps for just over £5.00. Highly Recommended.

Silverware itself is a great little place. We came upon this cafe and decided to give it a go. We didn't enjoy our coffee my partner ordered a cappuccino and I ordered a latte. They were quite tasteless and even though we had left quite a large amount still in our cups the server didn't ask if the coffees were ok. Not recommended unfortunately.

What a great little cafe! With the branding & equipment in use, it's like having an artisan London coffee house picked up & moved to Silverdale! Excellent logo & overall feel to the place - even better coffee, which I'm told is supplied by Hot Gates Coffee Roasters from Kendal, who originates from Silverdale - what a lovely local story. If you like good coffee, you can't miss The Blossom Bird!

The Blossom is a relatively new addition to Silverdale, as a local I almost dont want to share how good it is as I already struggle to get in sometimes......but, some things are to good to keep to yourself. Seriously, I am not a big coffee lover but the coffee this place makes is the best I have ever had. You can tell they have really researched how to prepare and make it and sourced the right coffee, this is no chuck it out Barista stuff, its a work of passion.....bit of a flowery description but that is how good it is. If you are passing through and want a seriously warm welcome then call in, they have the best homemade cakes - the Cherry Bakewell is particularly spectacular. Also, a tip, toast with jam or marmalade, toast is burnt bread, not rocket science....but it is when its a giant thick slab of wholemeal or white with loads of butter and jam..... great decor, friendly and a real attention to detail, dont miss it, head to the centre of the village rather than visiting the outskirts and caravan parks.
