Great atmosphere with good singers

Had a lovely lunch at The Pier Hotel, staff were lovely and good service, it was a bit quiet as out of season.

The pub was pleasant, drinks were fine and prices not too bad, but the lady behind the bar was lacking less than welcoming. Plenty of other places to drink.

Aways a favourite for locals and day tourists alike, especially in summer where you can watch the sunsets over Morecambe bay and South lakes on the outside seating.

A very traditional style pub with a good range of beers. Regular music acts along with karaoke and bingo. Have not tried the food but always looks good coming out of the kitchen .

Excellent homemade food.. Had our Christmas meal tonight. Atmosphere brilliant.. 2nd year we have been.. Definitely recommend the fish n chips. And scampi n chips..

What a lovely friendly venue, well worth a visit if your in Morecambe. Good value, helpful staff & they have some fabulous entertainment. All in all a great place to visit.

Worst meal ever. Took over an hour to get a burger and fish and chips. Chips were cold. Burger bun was stale and veg was from a tin. Think all the positive reviews are written by them. Don’t waste your time and money

Pleasant Seaview pub. Not overtly posh and certainly not a noisy sports bar. Somewhere relaxing and clean with decently priced good beer

Had an excellent 3 course pensioner meal,for £12! All home made,vegetable soup.cottage pie,apple crumble,really delicous,and fantastic value.

Had Sunday lunch today it was elexcellent cooked to perfection tasty and a good portion. One of the best in the area.

Came here for the Fish tea lunch deal for 2 [£15) with my family before heading home following our holiday. We had not only a really good quality lunch but exceptional value for money with tea or coffee included without compromising on the quality of the food. The fish was fresh and tasty with a lovely batter as were the chips. Staff were very friendly. Would recommend for anyone visiting Morecambe.

We ate here last week and also last night and both times the food was great and an excellent fish & chips offer. Great atmosphere with the live music on as well. We'll be back.

Called in today on our motorbikes. We had an amazing welcome and the breakfast was amazing. Fantastic value and really friendly

Went in to the Pier on a Saturday was enjoying a drink when we were asked to move from the table because it was reserved, there was nothing on the table saying this, it didn't matter if there were any other available tables or not and if there were empty tables why could they not reserve those, we were settled and in conversation with some people, I would understand if it was reserved for food but not just for drinks, I travel a lot and have never come across this before, obviously the owners do not care about all of their customers just certain one's.

We and my partner went into the pier hotel at around 1930 on Saturday night 01/04/23. We sat at an empty table with a nice view of the bay . After about ten minutes the barman came up and told us that our table was reserved from 8pm . The pub was filling up and there was a shortage of alternative tables ., there were no reserved cards on the table telling us this . The barman dismissed our annoyance saying he had been too busy to put them out. We drank our drinks and left . I understand ,during the pandemic ,that table reservations were needed, however to make people move for Saturday night regulars is not acceptable . Tourists be warned !!!!!

Not a sports bar but a pleasant entertainment venue for the more mature clients. Karaoke included.

Our local when visiting Morecambe, great food as always. The manager was lovely an very chatty.

In this day of high prices going out with our daughters and grandchildren is a treat. We try and support local businesses rather than the large chains and this was ideally placed for us to proceed to Baylight23. I ordered 5 adults, 4 kids meal and cheesy chips. After 10 minutes we was informed there would be a delay due to the large order. First to arrive was the 3 large fish and chips, these turned out to be small fish made to look large with heavy batter, the chips were tough and worst of all the food was cold and not as expected for £13 each. 2 children meals also arrived leaving 2 of our grandchildren unhappy that they hadn't got theirs, why not cook and serve kids first. Eventually the kids meals arrived and the smaller fish and chips. We had all finished and well over an hour from placing the order our eldest granddaughter received her cheesy chips. Absolutely shocking and we will not recommend the pier and will not be back.

Called it for a drink and meal, the food was fantastic, fish and chips and Lasagne, top notch 👌.

We had a beautiful roast turkey dinner from the Christmas menu. The cauliflower cheese was the best I've ever had and was very impressed with the quality of the meal. X

Great little local seaside pub, always great atmosphere

It's a bit hit and miss sometimes the chips come beautifully seasoned but in the past week they haven't been . Everything is advertised as fresh but the food taste freeze burnt . The staff are friendly and the beer is cheap but I went today and the food is awful . Would recommend for drink but not food

We were staying in Morecambe for the punk festival and popped in for a drink inbetween bands. We booked a table to return later in the evening for a meal. When we returned the pub was very busy but the barmaid ensured our table was ready despite some other customers using it. We both ordered lasagne which was one of the best we have ever tasted. Loved the pub atmosphere which was fun and friendly with karaoke.

Great traditional working class seaside pub. Food and drink at reasonable Northern prices. Karaoke was on the night we were there.

I am afraid we were very disappointed we had to wait for about 40 minutes before our food arrived ..when it did we didn't even get an apology...the pub was practically empty so we couldn't understand the long wait...the food when it finally arrived wasn't bad but won't be returning anytime soon...

Unfortunately they stop serving food at 6pm so weren't able to sample the menu but what we seen being served looked amazing. The drinks were certainly good & great value for money as we were fortunate enough to get 15% of all orders thanks to staying at the Morecambe Bay Hotel who have a deal with The Pier

We arrived before kareoke at 2pm ordered food veggie Mash with added ham we’ve had it before onion rings and side of coleslaw we waited! After 50 mins we were told it was on its way it arrived smaller bowl than usual no-side salad on plate a spoon of coleslaw in a paper cup and a side of greasy onion rings I said I’d payed for a side of coleslaw was told they would make fresh , it never appeared we showed the poor lad at the bar and he gave us £1.75 back we won’t be eating here again such a shame as it’s been lovely till now

This is a lovely pub and has a prime location on central promenade. It’s usually busy and has a good friendly atmosphere. But! The landlord/landlady needs to speak to their foul mouthed friends who stand outside shouting up to them in the accommodation above. We were sat having a quiet drink for the Jubilee celebrations and a group of 3 people arrived who were absolutely hammered and used the most disgusting and awful language while trying to get the landlord to come down. This is central prom not West End!

Average pub food. There was a female singer (?Patty) that afternoon whose voice was not pleasant at all (too many ciggies??) Good choice of beer.

This is a superb pub, probably the cleanest that I have ever been in, very comfortable and home made food. Drinks and food very sensible prices, if in Morecombe give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Fine dining it certainly isn’t but it turned out to be excellent bar food, tasty, great portions and fantastic value. On this occasion The Pier couldn’t be beaten.

Best random Sunday outing I've had in years and this was 100% my favourite pub! Staff, clientele and even the singer was fantastic! Thanks for putting up with me I loved it ❤

I have given five stars for the food for the previous landlord but we haven't had the chance yet to eat there under the new regime. The service is always excellent and Wayne is a credit to the pub. The comment regarding reserving seats is quite common elsewhere and is a continuation of Covid rules. The gentleman who says he has been a regular for 20 years and was disappointed that tables were reserved hasn't been a regular as long as I have which is over 50 years and also another of my group. We reserve a table because we try to continue as well as possible social distancing as my wife and I have very elderly and vulnerable mothers and although its no longer mandatory we try and use common sense. We as a group spend over £200 on a Saturday night and although it doesn't give us the right to reserve a table it does compensate the pub very well, we don't sit there sipping a couple of drinks all night like some do. This pub is one of the few remaining ones that although caters for all age groups has a high proportion of shall we say 'Baby Boomers' and has very little trouble so we all feel safe.

Booked a table on 13/4/2022 for 1500 hrs Easter Sunday. On arrival table reserved for us.ordered drinks and informed that there was a wait for food. One hour went by before being told I could order Beef dinner with roast potatoes was ordered plus potato pie chips mushy peas. The potato pie came first,with the veg for the beef dinner,on arrival of the dinner mashed potato came with it and no roast. This was sent back and on return the veg was cold by then. Veg sent back and was all shrivelled up. Due to being microwaved. Mr potato pie was rock hard again due to microwaving. Both meals were left and a complaint to the landlord was acknowledged by a full refund. Sorry to say I will not be returning to dine there again.

We visited the Pier on Saturday at 6pm we seated at a table, after 20min we were asked to move as the band setting up needed the space, this is expectable the band need room for equipment, we moved to an adjacent table that was empty after 15min the barman placed a reserved sign on the middle of the table for a Sandra coming in at 20:30, this was then 7pm and the pier was starting to fill, I asked the barman how can a customer reserve tables to be told I'm only doing as I'm told. I hope the customer reserving the table had a good night it seems there money is more valued than ours, after more than twenty years as a regular we won't be coming back. I failed to mention the pier is under new management, not the way to treat regular customers.

Fab pub Great homemade food.... great friendly bar staff.... as well as the owners mine hosts friendly . The pub as entertainment. All round good pub....... moving on New landlord has taken over the Pier..... in my opinion this pub has to be the best in Morecombe. New owners are excellent 👌....very friendly run by a great team..... Come down and see for yourself.. ....... I Don't go to any other still great entertainment still excellent homemade food 😋.. Well done Dave Mandy and gang.... its better than ever.!.......

First time in Morecambe, called in for some lunch. Really nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Food was excellent. Nice to find someone that does good old English food. Pity we were only there for the day.

Called here today, but we will NEVER return!!! waited over 40 mins for the food, so I went to enquire where our food was... a very pleasant young lady said she was sorry there had been some "technical" difficulties in the kitchen and they were...

We have been in twice this weekend as it was mum's birthday we had a very lovely Sunday dinner and mum had a buffet for her party that was fantastic thank you to all staff and landlord David
