Holiday stay in Bellingham, very near to us in car. On the Wednesday we had the Falstone chicken burger, really good and tasty...so we went back again on Friday, delicious food, lovely staff, reasonably priced and lovely atmosphere, thank you very much 😊 xxx

We were told to book ahead by the people where we were staying if you wanted a Sunday Roast so we did, nice warm welcome nice table for 2, we both had roast pork and veg which was lovely not too much of it which is good because we can't eat that much nowadays. As we said we both had roast pork, together with 2 dessert and 2 alcoholic drinks came to £48.95 which is good value as far as we were concerned. Would we go back again whilst we are staying in the area yes we would.

Generous portions of tasty pub food and some excellent local cask beer. The warmest of welcomes for me and Razzie the border terrier and a special shout out to Adele for looking after me so well!

Another holiday in staying in Kielder village and another couple of visits to the Black Cock Inn. As always the food was fantastic and the staff very friendly. Whilst what is offered on the menu may be a little restricted, as with any remote eatery, you know what ever you choose will always be top notch. Looking forward to a return and stay over in the near future.

Looks like this place is for locals only, turned up on opening at 5pm to be turned away as fully booked. They had a few tables reserved but plenty that weren't, just gave the impression that they don't want "outsiders".

Simple pub grub menu with mostly deep fried starters like mushrooms and potato wedges . I had a very large portion of scampi and chips which was lovely . A few veggie options as well and the risotto which I was told was tasty . Nice pint of cider and draft equinox .

Stayed nearby for two nights, visited the pub on Saturday night, booking recommended although only two tables in use. Limited choice of food, but what was served was delicious and plentiful. Service was good, although landlord was on his own, despite which no service issues. Very friendly and somewhere I'd recommend if visiting the Kielder area.

We were a funeral party (obvious as we were all in black) going to a funeral 5 mins away from this inn. Our small coach pulled in to the car park so that members of the party could refresh and gave a coffee or beer....

Visited this pub for Sunday lunch with my husband on a recent break at Keilder Water. The service was great, the food was excellent and the beer was lovely too.

Booked late so we could make a weekend of it when participating in activities at the fantastic Kielder Water. Room packed with all you could possibly forget to bring. Choice of real ale from the award winning High House Farm Brewery amongst others. Double eclipse breakfast (fried eggs and black pudding) cooked beautifully. Will visit again for beer and food, might even stay if the van is out of action again!

Large chain, standard menu offerings, busy, noisy setting, but good sea views, nice outside area. Food came quickly once managed to order at the busy bar. Burger sauce was the best item. Small burger Pattie, creamy coleslaw, hubby had monkfish scampi, bit over battered. Both sets of chips under cooked, when we were asked how our meal was, our reply was just received with blank stare and no response before waiter cleared our plates and left! Buffet breakfast the following morning as we expected! Basic sausages, overcooked black pudding, the bacon, mushrooms and hash browns ok, had run out of baked beans, but at least you could order different eggs if didn’t fancy fried.

It was ok but nothing to push the boat out for. My daughter wanted chicken tikka panini but apparently had no tikka, I asked for a sandwich on brown bread cake but they had no brown bread cakes left. Really?? And this was only just after noon. Nothing special about the ham sandwich which all in all tasted bland. The dog ate most of it.
