Unfortunately our 1st visit to The Blacklion was very disappointing after being recommended to us. Very disorganised waited over an hour for our meal to arrive. Both ordered Chicken in Blue cheese and blackpepper sauce. The sauce was so thick it stopped in the jug when trying to pour it out. We did say to a very nice waitress who reported our opinion to the chef. We were told the sauce was made during the afternoon and admitted it was too thick. We felt it should not have been served like this. We paid our bill and left. Will not be returning.

Another fabulous lunch in beautiful traditional village pub surroundings! I contacted Kelly to reserve a table for 4 via the FB message option. She is so accommodating and helpful! Arrived and Paula and her team showed us to a table near one of the fires and the Christmas tree. We had 2 vegetarian lasagnas , fish and chips and Cajun Chicken. Absolutely perfect!! Anyone that knows me has heard about their coleslaw and how fabulous the food is in here! This is a proper little gem, especially in a small village like ours. Just love the whole experience and the newly painted decor! Well done gang on yet another fabulous experience and thank you Paula (and Jack) for cooking for us - as it was a Tuesday lunch time !!! X

We have been here twice in one week. Both visits were excellent. Lovely staff and terrific food together with a warm friendly atmosphere. Susan was particularly welcoming and helpful. A real find for us and a place that we shall use more often.

The pub is so nice and cosily decorated inside. Looking forward to the log stoves this winter. All the staff are friendly and Susan makes you feel really welcome. The menu is varied and the food is consistently good. There is always a great variety of guest beers. This is a great place to visit.

Just called in for lunch. Pub was clean & tidy. Served by lovely friendly lad behind the bar. Chose fish goujon baguette & New Yorker loaded fries - both were amazing. Came with a really fresh bowl of dressed salad & presented very nicely. Will definitely return. Thank you to the new chef, Zara.

The Swan is a real gem it’s not a pub that serves pub food it serves food of the highest quality there is nothing on the menu that you wouldn’t want to eat The service is impeccable Olly has created a superb venue in a small village location that would be at home in a city

Horrible! The food was bland soggy roast potato’s thin stringy beef, boiled chicken and a burnt Yorkshire pudding all freezing cold. So over priced for what you got it’s better going to a Toby carvery. We waited ages for drinks and our food took an hour to come they also gave us the food for the table next to us before they brought ours out
