An excellent breakfast with high quality ingredients amd friendly helpful staff. We will make a return visit! We made several purchases to take away and the meats and bakery products were equally superb.

We went to the Black Dog Deli in Saxmundham (couldn't find a separate Tripadvisor entry for it) and it's just lovely. Very good coffee, delicious pastries and the lady who runs it is so kind, helpful (and hard-working!).

I've been here on each of my last 3 visits to Halesworth: for lunch, for coffee, and to buy bread to take back to the campsite. My only disappointment was that I was limited in how much I could carry in my backpack! The lunch dishes are imaginative and very tasty. The bread is the best in town. And it is a very cosy and relaxed atmosphere for a coffee, both inside and - on a warm summer day - outside. Couldn't recommend it more. (But avoid it if you like hamburgers and instant coffee: don't think it will be to your taste.)

Such a friendly place with wonderful coffee and delicious cakes (try the cinnamon buns!). I go there regularly with my daughter and her little twins. They love the sausage rolls.

We have been here several times and have always been treated in a friendly, polite and efficient way. On a bright sunny day it is lovely to sit at one of their outside tables, drinking coffee, eating warm sausage rolls and watching the world go by.

Ordered two Greek salad and two coffees which were nice but was served in takeaway box and cups as the ‘dishwasher was broken’ would have been nicer if they hand washed a couple of plates and cups! Very small amount of salad for the money, over £16. Bit disappointing really.

We were staying in Halesworth which itself is a gem in Suffolk, we visited for coffee which was fabulous and utilised the deli for our stay. It was very busy so we had a little wait but it was worth it. Would highly recommend.

I ordered two pizzas 2 weeks ago, they were burnt and chewy. The owner sent me a text to say sorry and would refund the £27. Still no reply’s or refund. This was a costly mistake, beware.

Midweek and I went in for lunch only to be told they stopped serving at 2pm! It was 2.15pm but I could have something from the deli counter, I chose a sausage roll and asked for it to be warmed up…I took a seat at a pine table that was moving….their chairs are small mismatched wooden hard ones, also moving! They all need tightening up before an accident happens and someone gets hurt. The sausage roll had been nuked so was too hot to eat and the cappuccino was lukewarm £7,70 for both…pricey.. A steady stream of people and dogs coming in wanting food proves they need to carry on past 2pm for lunch. Expensive, no proper lunch and dodgy furniture…no thanks!

Had French toast. Very small portion but a whopping £7.50. Nothing to it, tasty but not enough of it. Also when handed the food, was asked if we would like anything else, yes I reply another flat white…sorry you will have to get back up and get it was the reply. Pointless question then. Also too many dogs.

And it's not just the coffee. The team are delightful and super efficient, the food excellent ( you won't be able to resist the almond croissants). And the decor is original - a touch of East Suffolk chic. Sitting outside on a warm day is the place to be in Halesworth.

A beautiful and unusual tiled shop front and a good deli. We stopped by for breakfast as we were early for our train, and sampled the veggie sausage rolls. Coffee was good and there's plenty of seating out the front.

Had lunch here one day and coffee and a pastry another day, and bought bread here too (chunky sourdough). The quality of the bakery products is amazing. Pain au almond (with chocolate) to die for! Really nice lunches too: I had spanakopita with greek salad. Highly recommended.

I’ve been here for a few afternoon teas and lunches. The food is always lovely and cooked well, the themed afternoon teas are always really fun and a great treat for the local area. However the staff are not very attentive, they give you your food/drinks and leave you! It states unlimited drinks but they don’t ask if you need more, they don’t even check if your food is okay or if you need anything. At one point my friend said ‘excuse me’ and tried getting the attention of staff at the table next to us and the staff member just walked away, when we finally managed to ask for more tea they huffed like we were an inconvenience. There were also loads of hairs on our food, I think they were blowing around because they just kept appearing, maybe because they allow dogs. It’s a shame because I love the afternoon teas but it has put me off.

We were staying in wrentham for the weekend and called in for a pint on the Friday and saw that Saturday was a tapas evening. So we booked a table for Saturday. Both the food and service were excellent. We would definitely visit again when next visiting the area.

Sadly our recent visit didn't live up to expectations. 3 of our 4 diners had problems with their dishes. Whist we were offered replacements for the steak dishes it would have meant 2 of the diners would be eating their main courses at different times. Lets hope it was a one off experience. Disappointing as it was a birthday treat.
