I visited the Bite Today in Emmer Green , staff friendly, I had the Breakfast which was very good , cooked to order , not reheated. Very Satisfied with food , and service . Definitely will return very soon when in area .

Visited my local cafe on a few occasions now. I have to say that the cooked breakfasts and coffee are both very good and reasonably priced. Staff have always been friendly and service swift.

Lovely little family run cafe. Coffee is always hot and never burnt. Staff are always happy and never left long to be served. My husband loves their cooked breakfast, I usually just have eggs on toast which is always spot on. Keep up the fantastic work!!

Would not do beans on toast at lunch time unlike any other cafe I have been to, said it was a breakfast item . Other cafe's I can have anytime of day. Cannot understand how today cafe can afford to loose any business put there way.

This is the best place to go for a bacon roll, it is proper bacon in a lovely big roll and freshly cooked, not pre-made and then nuked to nothing. There is nothing better than one of these rolls and a lovely made latte, one of the newspapers on hand and a friendly atmosphere. The staff are really welcoming and Sandi is always on hand to laugh and chat with the customers. There are other foods on offer and it is all freshly prepared and always cooked well. If you want somewhere that has good food at a good price this is the place for you, I recommend it.

Hi, excellent cafe with well made, 'hand' cooked food - no microwave affair. Worth paying the extra there. Only reason taken one star off the review is because the tripadvisor address is right, but the map location is wrong - the location of the bite cafe is closer to the emmer green pond / budgens, not the lower field part of caversham. I suggest if the cafe owner reads this they contact tripadvisor asap to rectify the wrong map position, if they can - people might use the get directions feature and end up at a different cafe.

A favourite local cafe of ours. Breakfast is yummy, so is the tuna/cheese melt. Proper coffee in a proper sized mug and not overly expensive. Great to be able to sit outside. Friendly staff and now open on Sundays too! Well done everyone - keep up the good work!

A bit of a gem set in Emmer Green’s small precinct. Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the coffee. I’ve had flat white and black americano and both excellent. Very good range of freshly made sandwiches and paninis. Deserves to do well.

Had a really great coffee here last week, much improved. Great range of lunches and snacks. Far better than the cafes in caversham. Very fast service.

Actually in Emmer Green, not Caversham, this unimposing little cafe in a strip mall, is actually pretty good. Decent enough full English breakfast, good plateful, well cooked. Service is a little slow but it's worth the wait. Lunches and tea available too from what we could see.

It’s the only place that serves a breakfast in the area. It’s a filling ‘Full English’, not the best but then again nowhere near the worst I’ve had. Coffee could do with improving.

Once again the bite comes up trumps when it catered for 20 plus customers on our regular men’s breakfast club. Mike

It’s pretty good in here, the seating is comfy, the cakes and sandwiches are nice. The toilet is clean. It bothers me a little that they will only take cash payments, but the cash point is fairly close, so I can live with that. The other customers are friendly and it’s a popular local spot.

Fantastic place to drop into for just a coffee or indulge yourself with something to eat off the extensive menu.

Always good food and very family friendly. Reasonably priced and quick service. Now open on Sunday’s and a far better choice than the usual busy cafes in Caversham.

Always try and get to "The Bite" once a week for my scrambled egg on brown toast accompanied by a nice cup of Americano with hot milk on the side:) Best scrambled egg and coffee around.

Fresh soft roll, lovely back bacon well cooked and a fried egg with a large yoke. Goes down lovely with a cup of tea and reasonably priced. What's not to like?

Como decepcionante, ya que cuando mis padres se separaron. Tenía una resaca terrible y necesitaba algunas salchichas dentro de mí. Pedí un sandwich de salchicha que tardó 15 minutos en venir. Bun estaba pasada. No curar la resaca. Sándwich de mi futuro ex tocinos esposa era bastante chocante. . Grandes trozos de sobresaliente. con mucha grasa.

Realmente bueno. Sólo he estado para el desayuno/almuerzo, y cada vez ha sido de excelente calidad. La carne es Británica, el personal es amable y servicial, el café es limpio y agradable. Gran ventaja local!

Went in here for breakfast, but didn't stay as it smelled very funky, not in a good way. Can't comment on what the food is like.

Lovely local coffee shop. The staff are really good. Fabulous millionare's shortbread! Sandwiches good and really generous filling. Lovely place to meet up and chat with friends. The interior has a very warming feeling. You can also sit outsied and watch the world go by, just lovely.

This is a great local cafe much needed in the village. We had a full English breakfast on Thursday morning which was delicious and would highly recommend. Well made quality ingredients, cooked fresh and tasty. Good prompt and polite service.

I've been enjoying coffee at the Bite for sometime now, whenever I'm in the area. This is a little gem. A great place for a proper coffee, snacks & food, they even sell wine. Takeaway is available but you'll be missing out if you don't make time to enjoy the Bite. Comfortable seating inside & out, local artists' work displayed on the walls but best of all a genuinely friendly atmosphere and service.

Only moved here recently so only been in a couple times. the last time I fancied something to eat; the menu isn't vast, a few breakfast items and the same for lunch. I wanted an omelette but it wasn't on the menu so the server asked the kitchen and they made me a 2 flavour omelette as it wasn't busy. Nice clean place with good atmosphere. Decent food and a decent latte too.

I love coming into The Bite. It's much quieter than the Alto Lounge and while the menu is more limited it serves everything I would want for a cooked breakfast or a simple lunch. In particular the hoummous, pepper and olive sandwich at lunch time is delicious.They recently started opening in the evenings on Friday and Saturday nights where they serve a selection of alcoholic drinks alongside the usual coffees. It's a great idea and a really nice quiet place to go for a high quality glass of wine.The staff are excellent, really friendly, and really willing to adapt the food for your requirements (I am vegan).

Came across this cafe set into an area of local amenities. On the outside the size is deceiving- rather spacious for its location- and it's inviting interior certainly radiates a welcoming feel. Staff were patient and informative- I like to hear their recommendations! Very accommodating to preferences or extras without the regular fuss. Came in for breakfast and the following day for a light lunch bite. Impressed with its cleanliness- consistent and staff vigilant to clear tables avoiding upset of other eaters. Definitely recommended if in the area

On a business trip, popped in for lunch and it was a great choice of breakfast and lunches. Nicely presented on a board also. Thumbs up here! Would recommend as a good cafe

Coffees are tasty and hot (my large latte did wire me for the rest of the day, so I reckon that they add two or three espresso shots to it). Croissant was fresh, large and tasty. Free wifi for 45 minutes, good service, lots of options on drink and food - what else good really be asked for in a nice local cafe?

I meet a business contact in here occasionally for coffee but he always has to have a bacon sandwich or an egg sandwich because he says they are so good. The bacon roll is fantastic but I just like the fact it's nicely done out and cozy. Nowhere like it round here and it's really friendly. Took my son at the weekend. He said the food was lovely.

I came across this cafe yesterday and the atmosphere was fantastic not like your normal cafe. It was relaxing, the service was friendly fast and the food brilliant. If your in the area or you just want something different i recommend you pay it a visit .

Right, just so you know I don't normally right reviews, well this is my first time. But I just wanted to tell everyone what a cute little cafe this is. Food is absolute LUSH, I had the brioche bun, with sausage, Egg and bacon... Going back there this Sunday hopefully. Plus I have to say the customer services is excellent too. There was a staff member she smiled non stop... Love it ... Just a shame it's not in the main centre in the oracle think they need more local cafes like this.

In one of my earlier reviews I stated that the cafe didn't have wifi - this appears to be now resolved, and offers free wifi up to 45 minutes. Very useful when using your mobile, and does a direct open wifi connection, no dodgy ssl certificate registration problems you get in other cafes/pubs.

I was visiting from Vancouver stayed at Reading for few days . I walked into Bite Cafe, I had an amazing breakfast , food was delicious especially the British Sausages wow! we do not get them in Vancouver BC . Great place, cozy atmosphere and excellent customer service and definitely the best breakfast in all my 2 week visit to UK . I returned again next day i Highly recommend you visit Bite Cafe Great place you will not be disappointed and excellent Food

I work in the area and started coming in here to escape for my lunch. I usually have the decaf cappuccino, delicious. It's friendly, clean and welcoming with a great selection of snacks. I haven't eaten here as yet but look forward to sampling the cuisine at some point.

This is by far the best cafe in Caversham if not in Reading. I like my breakfast and though you pay a liitle bit extra in here I believe you get what you pay for. I had a breakfast bap and my partner a bacon and brie panini with chips. The food was delicious and presented as well as you can present a breakfast. There is obviously effort being made in here to provide a good eating experience. There were lots of families in here as well and it was busy but this did not hamper the service at all and everything was done politely and with a smile. The coffee was good quality and the milkshake was also extremely tasty. I most certainly will be returning here. Plenty of parking is another added bonus.

Unlike many small cafes in the Caversham area, the bite cafe has a wonderful veggie breakfast option. Very affordable. Very nice staff working there - first name basis. Good selection of up to date newspapers to read. Only downside is lack of wifi, but apparently according to the cafe owner should be resolved soon.

I live a mile away but drop in now & again. The other day it was just for a cappuccino which is excellent and very good value at £2 odd. I have also had their all day full English breakfast which includes bacon, fried egg, mushrooms, hash browns and baked beans served with toast. This is well cooked and presented and is a wonderful occasional treat. I've also had the sandwiches that are made to order, cakes including toasted tea-cakes and their tea - including a spiced one. They also do baked potatoes - yet to be tried by me. I do like The Bite very much. It's relaxed, the service is friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Oh, yes, and it also has very comfortable seating and is always clean & tidy.
