This pub is perfect! We have a regular meetup in London and were looking for a new, well connected location. The Betjeman Arms ticked all the boxes: It couldn't be better connected as it is half inside a major train station and right next door to another one. It is also beautiful, spacious and comfortable. The team at The Betjeman Arms were welcoming and looked after us so well. We're very happy to meet here regularly and look forward to our next event :-) Thank you for having us.

I chose the Betjeman Arms for a long-overdue family meet up and everyone agreed the BA was a great choice! We were well looked after and the food, staff and atmosphere were great. Can't thank you all enough!

I visited the Betjeman Arms with a friend travelling from Paris to St Pancreas, having used to visit often a few years ago. I was really disappointed that the standard seems to have dropped. We both ordered syllabub for desert and immediately both independently thought that the cream was off. When raising this with the staff, they took it to the chef who said it had been made that morning and was fine. It definitely was not, and tasted sour. It was inedible and no alternative was offered or no refund. We were so disappointed and will not be returning.

We had a lovely time here....just drinks no food. 5 sisters meeting for a catch up! The pub was very busy but we were given a great table and enjoyed the atmosphere whilst drinking an excellent bottle of wine. A special mention to Siobhan for making us feel welcome and looking after us so well during our visit

Perfect place to wait for your train and have a cocktail and enjoy some french fries or other food, super relaxing and enjoyable.

As a single older woman I appeared to be invisible to the four young staff behind the bar. Eventually got served by a moody faced bar tender after the man next to me pointed out I had been waiting. Settled with all my luggage at a table in the packed bar area with my £7.75 glass of Prosecco and after a few minutes was asked to move as the table was reserved - no sign on table, no one else eating in that area. So me and my bags moved out. Really poor customer service and made to feel bad.

A lovely place to end the day in London for dinner. Very good food and wine, and excellent service. We had been to a conference and wanted a quiet place for a dinner for 2. We had previously been here for lunch, so we knew the food and drink were good. We were not disappointed. It was just what we wanted before our journey home by train. I would recommend Betjeman's.

Lovely pub inside the station building upstairs. Perfect for waiting a train on a pint or meal. Lovely atmosphere. Train timetable screen for more update while having a beer. It wasn’t that busy when i visited. Service was good. All i can say, beat reason to catch next train 😜

Called in for a meal on the way home after a great weekend in London. Food,service and atmosphere were amazing, definitely will be returning for another visit.

Pretty good dining-pub in an interesting location. Ate from the 'February Fixed Menu', which at £22 for 3 courses was good value for London. When/how did beer get to over £6 a pint and house wine more than £30 a bottle - but it's the going rate for London, however outrageous. No background music - hurrah!

Food disappointing. Have been here previously and food was good. Now presentation really poor. Has there been a change in kitchen in last 9 months? Shame as I really liked the atmosphere and location. Nothing i can recommend. We were warned against the soup by another dinner. Should have eaten dinner Carluccios next door

Great pub restaurant next to the Eurostar trains. We had the set menu, £22 for 3 courses, £18 for two, the chicken chasseur and gooseberry fool with shortbread were lovely. A side of carrots and parsnips perhaps a little bit undercooked but everything else very enjoyable. Service was friendly and with three courses plus coffee and paying the bill we were out within 90 minutes, in good time for Abba Voyage!

Arriving at St Pancras we called in to eat before heading for our hotel. It was a great choice, our food was excellent; Cyder battered Haddock and Cumberland sausages, both were well prepared and presented. Service was swift and a relaxed atmosphere. Well done!

Made to feel welcome at the Betjeman Arms on Friday last week. Chosen as the venue to have lunch with an uncle I don't see very often as he lives in California. Very helpful waitress. I don't know her name, but if you're reading this & are Canadian - thank you very much! Good choice of food, not too noisy and easily found.

Ankita was wonderful. She made everything perfect. I will certainly be back as a result of her hospitality. The atmosphere was elegant as well as comfortable. The food was outstanding. I had the eggs Royale, which I would definitely order again. And that saying something since I am not really a breakfast person

Nice pub within St. Pancras International station! Serve draft beers as well as imported bottled beer. One can go for a pub grub here. I didn’t do that so can’t say what it is like.

Absolutely shocking service and quality of food. I went for a meal with my daughter with our table booked on line for 7.45pm. Seated and order taken for drinks, starters and mains. No issues so far. Our drinks and starters were served then 3 bites into our starter the waitress told us that due to the kitchen closing at 9pm our mains may come out a bit early. No problem with this ir so I thought but no sooner had the waitress got the words out of her mouth and our mains were served with almost the entire starter still waiting to be eaten. We had both ordered fish and chips but my daughter’s fish was so overdone it was inedible. The waitress came to the table to say she didn’t want to rush us but if we wanted a desert we would need to order it now. I explained the problem and said we didn’t want desert. On paying, one portion of fish and chips had been removed from the bill. I had to say I wasn’t paying for a starter I had no time to eat. After the waitress speaking to the manager it was also removed from a bill. We would have been better going to McDonald’s down the road where the food and service would have been far better.

The food was very good and the service was excellent. Rochelle served us and was both super friendly and super efficient.

Hired the Parlour for a party - good price, great food, and extremely helpful staff. We had all vegetarian and vegan, plenty of options and also good options for zero and low alcohol too.

We asked for a quiet room where we could meet over lunch with a few friends. They offered us The Study (seating 10), which was perfect. There was no room charge and we enjoyed an excellent meal, with pleasant and efficient service. Highly recommended, if you want to be away from the crowds.

Nice decor is warm and welcoming as you walk in, it's huge so you can find somewhere to sit relatively easily. Funny enough we were not traveling through the station and just chose to go there. Food is better than you expect it and the staff are really nice. I recommend it

Missed our train, so it was either Spoons or this place. Glad I chose here. Nice place. Friendly staff. Decent wine selection. Didn't eat, but other people's food looked pretty good. When I miss another connection, I'll be back

Every trip through London deserves a trip to the Betjemen. It is usually my first and last stop when I’m at St Pancras. A great range of drinks available and the food is great. I recently popped in for a breakfast on my way home. Great service and a hearty feed.

The dining room on Sunday was just right. Not loud, not empty. Sharing a Poets’s Roast is a great combo. Service was good. Ankita was perfectly attentive.

Popped for a quick meal before catching train to Nottingham. Located within the station this pub is excellent. Good selection of beers. The menu offers good pub food. We opted for the burger and chips. It was excellent. The burger was hand made and cooked perfectly - not overdone.

A smashing find while killing time before our journey home. Fantastic for a good old people watch but what stood out for us after spending a couple of days in London where the pace is as you'd imagine fast and sometimes not altogether inviting was how lovely the staff were, they took the time to greet us, explain the menu , were friendly and polite and nothing seemed too much for them. The fact the food was delicious was an added bonus so we will definitely be back again on our next jaunt to the smoke 😊..thank you to all at the Betjeman Arms for a nice end to our getaway

Met some friends here for lunch before the Eurostar and it was excellent. Food was great, the fish and chips were particularly tasty and portion size is spot on. The staff were helpful and attentive, a credit to the manager. Would highly recommend as a spot to start your holiday!

I've never seen a bad service like that. At least I did not expect this. Cold food (Sunday Roast). Beer selection on the tab is poor. Men's toilet smelling to hell and no running water.

Nice pub hidden in Saint-Pancras station. Good place for a beer, the food was however not amazing. The bread of beef sandwich was incredibly dry, even if the meat itself and the sauce were good. Another note on service because that count too. We visited on December 19th for lunch, and the young man with the (green I think) overshirt was very nice. However the grumpy dark-haired lady behind the bar not so much. I know we all have bad days, but still. If she dislikes customers that much, maybe the hospitality industry is not for her. I was polite and nice to her when we ordered beers at the bar, she didn's say hello, made me repeat my order 3 times in a pretty condescending way, even though I know my English isnt that bad, there was no need to be rude like that. She had overall a pretty rude attitude, and not just to me, to everyone ordering. For that reason only I won’t return.

The food was substantially beneath the standard I had expected. The chips tasted far from fresh, the steak was clearly a cheap cut and, worst of all, not cooked to specification. I requested medium rare but received blue. I will not be returning.

The pub is conveniently located within St Pancras station and has been created from various former station rooms. The interiors are comfortable and interesting. The menu is a slightly elevated pub food and there's a good range of beers and wines. Prices are average for central London. We've been before and really like the food and atmosphere. Service on this visit was somewhat slow. The staff were attentive, friendly and helpful but I think they may have been understaffed. We will still go again

The pub is in a great location, especially as we had some colleagues arriving on the Eurostar. The decor is really nice and the tables and chairs are comfortable. The food is decent and nicely presented. The serving of the courses was nicely paced, but the staff could have been more on the ball in terms of clearing glasses and plates, and keeping an eye on drinks (we kept having to ask for water), but I suspect like many places they are generally short-staffed. Overall a good experience for our team's Christmas lunch and we will come again as the location works well for us.

I treated my family to a Sunday roast and was very very impressed with the food [especially the vegan wellington], great portion size and quality, the desserts so delicious and the overall atmosphere was cosy and lovely - will definitely come again!

Met a friend here for lunch and from the minute we walked in till we left, the service was excellent and friendly. We had the 3 course lunch from the December menu, all delicious in a warm, beautiful surroundings. We love this pub - highly recommended and so convenient if you're meeting family or friends who might be travelling from different directions as St Pancras station is so easy to get to. Please go and experience an amazing time.

Great place for a beer before leaving on a train. Comfortable seating with good range of beers. Outdoor seating too. Not the cheapest maybe but worth a visit.Has a separate restaurant area too which is quieter.

I brought a group of 13 to this venue and the staff were great. Only disappointment was that the music went off at some point and having it throughout would have been much better. We did ask for it to return but only after a bit of a lull. Atmosphere matters (smile). Otherwise service and food were super.

Britney was fabulous. Great service and perfect attention to detail. Had a wonderful pre-Christmas lunch with my mate.

Mediocre in a nice space and good location.

I don't usually post negative reviews if it can be helped but I had a really bad experience here recently. We arrived late on Sunday, it would've been about 7pm and the pub was still quite busy (aside from the dining room which I was informed was reservation only...despite being empty and late in the day). I ordered at the bar and told the chap I wanted to split the payment across two cards but ended up paying on one as he didn't seem to understand that. Not the end of the world, Sundays are busy, he might be tired, etc etc, not going to make a fuss about that. We took a seat next to three lads who had clearly been there for quite a while. They initially started being a bit of a nuisance, trying to give us weird rubber ducks and chat with us, generally drunk and annoying but nothing out of the ordinary for a Sunday evening. I think what irked me most was when the bar staff came over with a tray of free shots for these idiots. They could see the state these guys were in, they could see them being a nuisance to me and my party but still thought plying them with free booze was a good idea? Baffling. Toilets were an absolute disgrace as well. It's a shame, I've been to the Betjeman arms a bunch of times in the past as it's a really convenient location and generally have always had a really nice time there but the latest outing has really left a sour taste in my mouth. Avoid.

We came for a vegan Christmassy Sunday Roast and a glass of wine, and were delighted! The food and atmosphere were splendid and Ankita made us feel at home, she was very warm and professional. Would definitely recommend whether you’re vegan or not!

As always, the Betjeman Arms did not disappoint. A lovely, buzzy atmosphere, clean tables and a delicious breakfast. The food here is far far superior to the usual boring grub offered in many railway stations (and airports). However, the thing that makes the pub stand out is the lovely staff and I want to particularly give a shout out to Britney. Britney served my partner and me last time we came here and I was very pleased to see her again because it's nice to see a familiar face in a setting where the usual state of affairs would be fast turnover of staff. When we ate here before, Britney had had to handle the tricky situation of asking us to change tables because a large party was booking in to the back dining room. She did this with real grace and professionalism which continued while she took our order for food and drinks. She had gone off shift by the time we left and I should have made the effort to comment on here then. The reason I am doing this now is because of an earlier unkind comment about her in another review. Members of staff here are just that and they do not have a final say over what tables are free for the public to use or not. The back dining room is currently closed as I write and, I'm assuming, would remain closed even if the bar, snug and station front dining area were heaving due to staffing levels (both front-of-house and in the kitchen), prior bookings, and management choice. Please do not bully or be mean to the young people working in this place. They are all working hard to make coming here a sweet experience but sometimes members of the public have to look beyond or set aside their expectations or even just give staff a moment to explain. Thank you, Britney and all your lovely colleagues for making me feel welcome, looking after me and cooking me a fab breakfast. Kate x

We booked this restaurant for our Christmas meet up and it didn’t disappoint. Throughout the booking process I was kept informed and on the day the staff were fabulous. The food was really good quality which is rare when catering for a large group. I would recommend The Betjeman Arms and would certainly return.

Great pub conveniently located in St Pancras station. Buzzing bar space with a warm/fun atmosphere, lovely outdoor terraces (both inside & out) that allow you to admire the station architecture and a beautiful dining area towards the back of the pub for something a little more formal. This place really does have it sorted & they pour my favourite beer - Small Beer Pale Ale! I just had a (very tasty) scotch egg on this occasion, so haven’t rated the food. Enjoy & Cheers!!

Went here for the first time to get some drinks with my mum. This lady with dark skin and blonde hair just asked us to leave if we are not ordering any food. The pub had like 7 empty tables. Not very polite. Double checked with other staffs, they had no problem with it. Ended up ordering a salad which was very nice though.

Nice venue to catch up with family for a drink or two I didn't get to try any food but may give it a go on another occasion!

Excellent full English breakfast in lush and pleasant surroundings

We booked The Study for a 1/2 day meeting, as we have on a number of occasions before. Ankita looked after us really well providing us with more coffee, milk, cups etc as required. We ordered lunch and that came promptly. There was a lovely choice of food. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's such a great place to meet that we'll definitely be back.

I had an English Breakfast, Gin cocktail, and coffee at Betjaman Arms. Everything was superbly delicious and the service by Ankita was impeccable. She was extremely hospitable, professional, and super helpful. You can ask her for any recommendations and you won't be disappointed. I had a great time waiting for my transfer to the airport here and would definitely recommend this spot for others.

This was our first time at the Betjeman Arms and we were really impressed! The food was excellent and the kitchen was very helpful with my gluten intolerance. The server was run off her feet, so I think they were a bit short staffed, but she was doing a great job. The dining room was beautiful and it felt like an upmarket restaurant, without the upmarket price. Highly recommend and we will be back!

Lovely food - and great service. A huge improvement on my last visit. Only 1* for atmosphere as the restaurant was empty apart from us.

I give it a low score because this pub is as just a tourist/ traveller trap. No atmosphere, staff good but no personality. I'm local so I recommend the authentic boozers nearby like the Dolphin literally across the rd. Proper landlord there. Or the Skinners even . Or the Boot which is proper old school London. This pub in no reflects the vibrancy of the area nor the character. It's inauthentic and overpriced. Made for the visitor . No local would be seen dead . I visited to see it but never again.

Not as great as I thought it would be. Service friendly Didn’t try their food Prices are slightly high comparatively but reasonable. Not enough variety of drinks St international is very close and there is a door directly going there. Not a big pub.

Utterly surprised at how nice this was. Railway heritage done nicely when it could be a faceless transport pub. Staff questioned the Guinness shandy request..ha ha

8 of us booked the private room for our reunion, having met in 1958 - and 7 of us were 85 this year! We were looked after very well, and all being well, will be back next year. Would recommend.

The venue is very nice. The selection of food good, pricing excellent and the ability of staff to manage a large group with dietary complications was very reassuring. I would highly recommend this location of a meal, family catch-up, any reason realy. Understated high reliable service.

I recently visited The Betjeman Arms and loved the relaxing vibe on the Grand Terrace, which overlooks the Eurostar platforms - a perfect spot to people-watch. I've added it to my barguide.london site too!

The vegan roast was delicious the service was a bit meh

Just had the main dish of pork. Absolutely perfectly cooked and having been in France for the last 4 days - this believe it or not was by far the nicest meal I’ve had in that time. Kudos to the chef and lovely staff in this busy bar. Get the pork is my advice!

Good for what it is. Railway station pub serving food. People meeting, people filling in time. V convenient for trains from St Pancras Youngs on tap, good wine list, reasonable food choices. Service was good, plenty of staff. Outdoor seating on Euston Rd at front, seating outside pub but in train station at back.
